Food is great. Had the green enchiladas and mix fajitas at 130 pm on Friday. Steak was like butter and the chicken was soft too. The enchiladas was great beans and rice was great. Server Luis was great and very informative.

With all of the Mexican restaurants in Dallas this is an this one is an easy pass. On the positive side, the chips are fine and the salsa has a little kick. The rest was south of disappointing. Our waiter wasnt rude, but wasnt helpful or even mildly interested in taking our order or ensuring that it was accurate. The food was tasteless and odd... their chimichanga is a tostada.. not like a tostada...a tostada. The beef burrito with fajita meat contained some unidentifable meat product and not steak at all. And although everything came out fast, our dishes were luke warm or even cold. Not sure why this was a question, but this is for the location on Arapaho.

Tastie, kid friendly! Parking: Parking is behind the building. Go down the side street and turn at the tree. Kid-friendliness: My grand daughter spill a whole drink, they cleaned the mess quickly and friendly, and replaced ger apple juice with no charge. The lid did stay tight the first drop we were surprised, then the other toddlers elbow hit the other drink, no such luck the lip popped off. Our kids were chaos that day, (the other customers and staff just rolled with it so e joking their meals... it is a LOUD restaurant festive... so you might sit in another area if you want a quiet meal ... (its not a place youd take grandma or a first date...its too fun!!)Although there was a church Bible study group with loud preaching on the patio seating on a Thursday at 6 pm. Dont know if that would draw some in or annoy some. Please try the restaurant the food was great and my review may be my personal view. With my chaotic day... it was well worth it, plenty of left overs, doubt you can finish your plate. Large servings the chicken veggie plate was delicious but very salty. Ill request easy salt or no salt next time.

Initially, the waiter wasnt suggesting good vegetarian dishes, but our experience took a positive turn when the manager stepped in. He suggested a few options, and we decided to try them. The cilantro rice is a must for vegetarians its absolutely delicious. The taco salad with grilled veggies was also great, and the variety of sauces available was a fantastic touch. Overall, thanks to the manager for the suggestions, we had a wonderful meal. If youre a vegetarian, make sure to get in touch with him for the best recommendations! Nice place with great outdoor patio! We ate at the bar and the male bartender was very nice and accommodating. The queso Blanco was the best thing but the food wasnt that good. Super packed! But we were seated in 15 mins instead of the initial 35 we were quoted! We started with queso especial..very tasty except WAY to salty! Our meals came quickly...I ordered the Pick 3 - enchilada, taco, and tamale..with added chalupa...it was ok...just lacked zing...not very spicy nor tasty at all! Ordered Cheese enchiladas with Mole, rice and black beans, was expecting Mole Poblano, the most popular variation of mole, associated with the Puebla region of Mexico, but instead my cheese enchiladas were topped with Red Mole! The prices are reasonable with large portions. The bowl of tortilla soup is really big. Its larger than a normal soup bowl. Tortilla chips are always fresh as well. Ive also had nachos and enchiladas. My family has been eating at Don Pepes for years. Always great service, friendly and welcoming.

The last few times Ive been here the service has gotten slower and slower. My order has been wrong the last 2 times. I ordered my first drink last night and I couldnt get any feel or smell of alcohol in the Pina Colinas at all. Zero. No garnish of fruit like a cherry or orange. Then after all that we waited nearly 20 minutes for our check. My husband had to ask more than once. Tbe waiter finally says give me your card and ill go run it....without a check first. Seriously?

I saw the Flaming Molcajete on other reviews and had to try it. I gotta say I was very impressed! Chicken, steak, chorizo, cheese, nopales, shrimp and a delicious red sauce flavored by the chorizo. Super well served. It was literally flaming on our table. 15/10 Service was great! Loved it! And we are definitley coming back.

My favorite place to have a margarita and some amazing Tex Max. Their enchiladas are my favorite but I m obsessed with their tortilla soup. I really think it s the best I ve ever had! What makes this place fantastic is not only the great food and the best margaritas, but the service is outstanding! I love Rosie who usually works the bar and if you re lucky enough to see the Don Pepe himself, you ll get a warm smile and a possibly high five. It was my second time around here. The foods they served were really tasty. I had the tortilla. Every bite was enjoyable, and the flavors seemed to get better as I ate. They obviously didnt really understand English as they had to redo my food 3 times in order to remove the allergens. If Id spoken Spanish things would have been great. Parking: The restaurant is behind Cane Russo and the parking is in the very back by the play ground.

We have been going to Don Pepes since before they changed locations. It took a little while for them to get back in the groove upon reopening, but now I think they even better than before! Ive ordered takeout a few times recently and have been very impressed by the quantity and quality, and dining in has also been a treat. I *love* the chicken fajita salad here, and we tried the queso Blanco for the first time this week which was absolutely delicious! The new location with the huge patio is fantastic. So glad yall are back!

Food and drink where extremely good but this review is based on your experience . When you are presented with the bill check it closely. On the menu it says pina colada $10.25 I was charged $19.50. Was surprised with this beauty. Makes you think of a vacation but didnt ask for all this. Just picked what was offered on the drink menu. Sadly thats why I gave them 3 .

As soon as we arrived, we encountered bad service. We were helped at the host stand by an older Hispanic woman who behaved very rudely, was angry and treated the other staff poorly. She was speaking Spanish complaining about her job and not wanting to be there. Not knowing I am fluent in Spanish, I understood everything she said. Once seated, the staff took very long to take care of our needs. My husband even had to get up and find a baby high chair on his own. The shrimp tacos were terrible. They should know better to double the tortillas as they broke and fell apart easily.

I went here for a birthday party and as large as our party (30+ people including kids) was, they were still able to accommodate all of us. Service was exceptional and I was pretty impressed that they were able to cater to all of us. We were served Chips + Salsa + Guacamole + Queso. Our entire table grabbed margaritas for the most part and I grabbed a La Paleta. I also ordered the Mole Poblano Enchiladas. The chips and salsa were pretty typical. We ordered a spicy salsa for a small subsection of our group and it was actually spicy so it added a nice touch. The queso wasn t anything special. The guacamole was served in a large granite mortar and pestle so I was hoping it would have a little more spice. The La Paleta grabbed my attention because of all the different fruit liquors that were mixed in. It had a chamoy rim which made it even more delicious. I don t have mole often and this was nice. There was an appropriate amount of sweetness from the mole; the chicken wasn t as juicy. The black beans and rice were good.

Food - Above average Margarita - Very good! Service - Average. Staff werent particularly friendly, but otherwise acceptable. Waiter didnt disclose that the total shown on mobile payment device already includes the service charge. Watch out for the 20 percent service charge. I ended up tipping $55 on a $110 tab due to the disguised service charge. The waiter should disclose **in good faith** that the total shown on mobile payment includes the service charge.
