Well a very rough experience for Sunday lunch at 11am. Two out of six of us didn t order anything because our server couldn t adjust or suggest changes for dietary needs. Patio is lovely and the queso was good. It wasn t busy at 11am so we felt like the staff could use a bit more support from management on service training. Seemed to be confusion in the kitchen too. The prices are right for an average dining experience. Cute place tho

Dont let a packed parking lot scare you away. We took the last space. We were seated within 10 minutes and had our delicious hot meal within 15 minutes more. They run a flawless, consistent, flavorful restaurant. Whoever is in charge deserves high praise and a raise We recommend this restaurant as our number one restaurant in Lubbock.

Great vibes, great food, and great service. Had a party of 14 for an office lunch and Jen was fantastic! Best service Ive had with that large of a group. We were in and out in less than an hour (not because we were rushed, everything just went that smoothly). 100% will be back and would love to have her as a server again!

Came to dinner for a friends birthday. There was a guy playing guitar and singing who was awesome! Our server Ace was fantastic. I believe he even sang a Happy birthday song in Spanish to another table. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We came here from Austin hoping to discover a new spot in Lubbock while visiting family. After being seated we noticed a manger and employee getting into it. The manager seemed very unprofessional as they had their finger in the employees face. As for the food, it was okay and our server was pretty good. Would not recommend this place as they seem to treat their employees unfairly and carry a hostile environment.

Came in for lunch. Havent had much luck in Texas for good Mexican food. This place 10/10 recommend. Our waiter was Julian very nice & helpful. He recommended the beef tacos. The food is absolutely wonderful and the service is astounding. The wait staff has never gotten our order wrong & they are super friendly. We love this place & eat here often. Kid-friendliness: The wait staff always talks with my kiddo who talks non-stop. They are very friendly & even help him pick out his food. Wheelchair accessibility: When we go with my mom whos in a wheelchair we open the outside doors for her & before my son can get to the 2nd set to open them the receptionist has already done so. There are also 5 or 6 handicap spots to park in.

Was highly disappointed today. We did not realize that they closed at 5 on Sundays which was fine, but being rushed to order our food and felt like we were rushed to eat was not okay. Our poor waitress came out apologizing because she was told by the kitchen staff that we had 9 minutes to get our order in because they were closing the kitchen in 9 minutes but yet other people were coming in to sit down 2 minutes before 5. 5 oclock hit and they turned off all the music and TVs even though there was customers still eating. The next thing we hear is the kitchen staffs music up load and half the staff walking around looking at all the customers and making everyone feel like they needed to hurry and up and get out. We love Albarrans but if you are going to close early then just dont open on Sundays, because it was absolutely ridiculous to be treated that way and we couldnt even enjoy our food or the company we were with.

Music is way too loud! You shouldnt have to yell at the people who are sitting at the same table. What is with the wait staff not talking? We saw our waitress maybe twice, and had to ask for everything. Its not very difficult to notice the drinks are empty! I ordered the stacked chicken enchiladas w/green sauce. They come with two fried eggs. Normally you would ask the customer how they would like the eggs cooked? Oh, I forgot, that would require speaking to the customer! The chicken was WAY overcooked. Too many choices in Lubbock to have to put up with places like this.

This was my first time going to this establishment. I ordered the veggie fajitas with beef and let me tell you .it was amazingly delicious! It had onions, bell peppers, squash, carrots and we added jalapeños. This dish was so full of flavor! The salsa was an even balance of spice and the chips were nice and crisp. The food came out fast and our server, KJ served a party of fifteen without any hiccups. I will definitely return! You can also get cocktails while you wait to be seated. We visited this restaurant on March 22, 2024 around 12:00 pm. We were seated upstairs immediately and were quickly served chips and salsa. After that, nobody came to take our drink or food order. Went to visit sister in Lobbock. We were looking forward to a good Mexican meal so went to Albarrans on Milwaukee Street and we both ordered the Rojo Asado. Was worst meal I ever ate at a Mexican restaurant. The meat was hard add dry. Looks like it was old and disguised with a chili sauce that was also tasteless. The meat was supposed be pork, but due to its tasteless texture, I was not sure if it was beef or pork or something else. I will never go there again. I did travel a long way from out of town . I am Mexican and know good z Mexican food and this was not it. Would give it a score less than a zero. Told our waitress and all she said was that she was sorry. My husband and I and little one are from California and let me tell you we have been in Texas for a while now and we have been trying to find a good Mexican restaurant that is the same as California and wow our first time coming here was beyond amazing even better than California first of all we were greeted great by the host and our server she was amazing always checking on us and making sure we had everything. I forgot her name but she has blond hair. She was fast and very kind. The food was amazing in California they never serve us that huge bowel of chips with the salsa we were at WOW they were so good as well. We ordered the carne asada fries 10/10 and the two chili rellenos with rice and beans 10/10 and amazing it brought us memories of our grandma/moms cooking. The portion is amazing especially for sharing with your husband/wife/kids my little one got the kids menus cheeseburger with fries 10/10 and she loved it everything is legit homemade the fries were crispy and soft and just amazing flavor that I cannot describe. The soft drinks were amazing I am pregnant and I ve tried all sprites from different places and nothing compares to Albarran s Mexican Bar And Grill the sprit tasted so refreshing so did the ice tea and the coke and Dr Pepper. The water was also amazing. And you cannot beat the price it was all $47 for us three for what we ordered we thought it would of been more also I loved the decorations and the music. The restrooms were so clean and organized everything was so perfect and the managers are always friendly going up to you making sure we had refills and had everything we needed. we will be coming again. I wish I would of taken a picture of the food but we were so hungry we just ate as soon as it came out. Trust just go on in and eat!! Edited: second time here and we got the molcajete that served me my hubby and my little one and for my little one some enchiladas with beans and rice and let s talk about the huge bowel of chips! Ive only eaten at Albarans a handful of times, simply because its not in my area of town and I dont think of it. But for a recent dinner, my group of friends chose it. I will definitely remember to include it now when trying to think of a place to eat. I ordered the Leslie Plate, a chicken stuffed pablano. It was delicious, with a great balance of pepper, chicken, and sauce. The service was friendly and fast, without being overbearing or rushed. The atmosphere was a typical Mexican themed restaurant; it was a bit loud, which isnt unusual for a popular restaurant. Overall a great spot for an enjoyable dinner.

Great Portions, Great Taste, Great Service, Great Atmosphere. We were really impressed with everything about Albarrans...and our Waiter V was THE BEST. Id go back to the restaurant just to be served again by V. We had a blast, got really really filled up and ordered some to go too. I could have eaten an entire plate of the papas alone. REALLY GOOD! REALLY. So very refreshing to have everything just the way we wanted it . . . i.e. customized ordering available. Try them out, and ask for V Youll be glad you!!

Went with a party of 5. We always get queso, but the chips were either broken or cold and WE had to request more. As a server you should KNOW that if there is a bowl of queso but no chips, that is annoying as the queso is getting cold and congealed. Server did not seem motivated to return as needed and a little irritated with small requests ( like more tortillas, more chips...) Which tortillas are charged for. Bigger the bill, the bigger the TIP. BRING FROM AMARILLO and knowing that Albarrans is the same owner, I was disappointed because the Amarillo location is AMAZING and has never been a let down. I will come again because sometimes its just an off day for all involved.

We went to Albarrans Mexican Bar & Grill for lunch today, everything was perfect. Our waiter Jojo was very attentive, my sweet tea was perfect, my queso was perfect, not runny or clumpy. We like the habanero salsa but their house salsa was spot on too. I love the Isaiah Plate, it is cut pieces of sirloin sauteed with onion, jalapeno and tomatoes. My charro beans and papas were so very tasty also. I didnt need to add salt or pepper too anything. This is the best meal and service Ive had in awhile. I almost forgot...we had Sopapillas too and they were puffy and light, just like they should be. Thank you for my Most Awesome Meal Albarrans!!

There were 5 of us eating. The atmosphere was inviting. There is seating on two floors and on a patio. We got our food quickly and it was delicious. There is a lot of variety of menu items including choices of beef, chicken, or seafood. Well be back next time in town.

Let me tell you, I dont know where to start. We come here all the time. I get told I cant eat of the kids menu anymore even though I have a dietary restriction. A adult meal is way to much food for me. I end up wasting more food than eating it. But what doesnt stop me for calling in an order and ordering a kids meal. No difference. I have a note and card from my Dr staring I need to eat kids or senior meals. I was even told by my server, that the owner suspended 5 people for letting adults order off the kids menu. Ummm what? Wait staff freaking suck. Once they take your order, they disappear. The hostess kids were throwing a bottle of chemical at each other, it was dropped and busted all over the floor. Management has no control. We will no longer be eating at this establishment. Yall forever have lost our business.
