One of my favorite spots for sushi in Dallas. Not only does it make for a fun date night spot; but you can also come here alone or with friends. It s the perfect spot to enjoy an extended happy hour (until 7p). Dress it up or make it casual. This is my go to spot for food I know will be amazing, and service to go along with it. Thank you to Matthew for his service at the bar! I ll see you soon! Kid-friendliness: Expect to see people dressed up, casual, on dates, or with friends, families too. With no one killing the vibe. It s great! Wheelchair accessibility: The walk up has a wheelchair ramp extending to the entrance

Food is great but for a quicker service, it is best if you order everything at once. Be ready to order your cocktail drinks as this does delay. Your drinks might be waiting in the bar for your server to go get them.

We visited on Saturday around 7pm with a reservation. They sat us in the bar. The restaurant wasn t busy at all. Lots of open tables. We waited for 15-20 min for the bartender to bring us water. Waited another 20 min for someone to take our drink order. Ended up having to go up to the bar to order. Not sure why the bartender was also our waiter. We initially thought he was just taking brining us water while we waited for our waiter. That wasn t the case. We had to ask for someone to take our order after waiting another 15-20 min. Food came out and it was delicious! Lobster roll of was fantastic. Just wish the service was up to par. Don t think we will return to sit maybe will order to go.

It was my first time here. Parking wasn t horrible. It has a nice atmosphere on the inside both for dates and family outings. Food looked delicious and I got the omega-3 dish. It was filling and presentation was good. They have a wide assortment of dishes and my group was happy. Would go again. The warm sake was good and cheap so highly recommend.

Hands down the best happy hour prices & food selections in town. There were some minor things with the food temp & I think the calamari had been fried in old cooking oil. I took a star for the atmosphere because there was a not so pleasant order near the bar. I had not been here in years. Overall the vibe was good.

This place has a great deal for happy hour all Sunday. However, I dont think Id ever go back. We tried many dishes - edamame, crab poppers, yellowtail nigiri, the pacific roll, and the hidden dragon roll. We also got a lemon drop martini. Nothing we got was bad, and at the happy hour prices... Thats good. But the quality doesnt meet the regular price. The atmosphere was not good. Crammed, noisy, smelled bad, leaking sealing... But the worst was the bathrooms. Worst public bathroom Ive seen in a while. Graffiti, sewage smell, dirty, dark. The service was awful. Our primary waiter was the worst demeanor. Walked to our table and just stood there ... Waiting for us to make an order without even saying anything. Multiple people came by offering/asking if a dish they had to deliver was ours. (They werent). The person who came to fill our drinks instead of walking along the side of our cups with plenty of room. Reaches right over our food as we are eating to grab our cups. This place is kinda a dump to be honest. Parking: Careful in the parking lot. Its dirty and slime on the ground.

Waited 20 minutes on a missing waiter who served our mains and our starters at the same time got Wasabi and ginger never once asked if I wanted anything else almost dropped plates and tried to drop my money off at the wrong table.

I recently dined at Sushi Axiom in Dallas, TX, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Here are the major issues I encountered: 1. Unnotified Alcohol Tax: There was an undisclosed alcohol tax on our bill. After visiting the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) website, I found that such charges must be clearly disclosed to customers either on the menu or at the start of the service, which did not happen in our case. The waitress was unaware of the alcohol tax details and repeatedly said, I don t know, without attempting to resolve the issue. 2. Unhygienic Conditions: The cleanliness of the restaurant was severely lacking. The dining area and restrooms were filthy, which violates health and safety standards mandated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The restrooms, in particular, were in a disgusting state, posing a significant health risk. 3. Poor Service and Unjustified Gratuity: The service was atrocious. Despite requesting our food to be served together, it arrived in staggered intervals, ruining our dining experience. Our waitress, although smiling, failed to refill our water and soda, and the table was never cleaned. To make matters worse, a 20% tip was automatically added to our bill despite the poor service quality, which is both unjust and exploitative. 4. Managerial Misconduct: When we questioned the alcohol tax, the manager responded with aggression, raising his voice and displaying unprofessional behavior. This conduct is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment s management. Given these serious issues, I am filing formal complaints with both the TDLR and TABC. The restaurant s failure to maintain cleanliness, lack of transparency regarding pricing, and the unprofessional behavior of its staff are serious concerns that need immediate attention. Based on this experience, I believe even giving Sushi Axiom one star is generous. This establishment does not deserve any stars due to its appalling service and conditions.

We recently came for a friend s birthday and had a great experience! If you re into truffle, you definitely need to get the Hamachi Truffle as a cold starter (hamachi sashimi, pico de gallo, fried garlic, truffle ponzu) and the Trinity Roll (spicy salmon, tempura flakes, avocado, nachos, sauce spicy mayo, olive oil, eel, wasabi cream, truffle oil) as one of your main rolls! As far as other appetizers, the crab puffs and fried octopus dish were amazing! They have a selection of vegetarian rolls - I highly suggest the vegetable tempura roll and the froot roll (apple, mango, avocado, strawberry, kiwi glaze). Will definitely be back for the truffle dishes and to try the rest of the vegetarian rolls! Compared to other sushi places, it s a great value for the money!

I normally dont leave reviews, but I was beyond disappointed with my experience at this restaurant that I have to share with you all. I encountered several issues. To start , service was very slow, we waited a long time for everything, we were in 6 and our meals were brought out at different times, resulting in some of us finishing our food while others were still waiting for theirs; we were surprised to find an additional alcohol fee on our bill that was never disclosed to us. When we inquired about it, the server was unaware of its details and could not provide an explanation, we then requested to speak with the manager , who was extremely rude and unprofessional in addressing our concerns; the air conditioning seemed to be malfunctioning , as the dining area was uncomfortably warm, and we were all sweating throughout our meal. Our table wasnt ever clean, server never offered a water and sodas refill. Basically it was a very unpleasing experience. Do not waste your money at this place.

Ive frequented Sushi Axiom for its lively atmosphere and great happy hour deals, but my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed. During what should have been a pleasant meal, I was unexpectedly struck on the head by a cocktail shaker thrown into the air, causing liquor and water to spill on me and glass to break. Despite the severity of the situation, the managers response was shockingly inadequate. Instead of showing concern for my well-being, he seemed more preoccupied with ensuring I paid for my meal. The waiter responsible for the accident showed little empathy, merely offering a replacement roll without acknowledging the harm caused. The managers dismissive attitude and lack of empathy were appalling. He minimized the seriousness of the incident and questioned my request for compensation, even though my safety had been compromised. Offering only a meager $10 discount as recompense was insulting. To make matters worse, the managers abrupt handling of the situation made me feel unwelcome and undeserving of fair treatment. Its disheartening to see a restaurant I once enjoyed fail to prioritize customer safety and comfort. In conclusion, based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend Sushi Axiom to others. Its clear that the management lacks the professionalism and empathy needed to handle unexpected situations with care. I urge potential patrons to seek out establishments that value customer well-being above all else.

We saw two ROACHES on the wall against our high table and told our waiter about both instances. I asked for the manager and he said that there was no manager for the night. I was highly disgusted at this point and needed to get out of there. I was upset that the waiter did little to nothing to address our issues. Will Not be returning to this establishment.

TLDR: Poor service, SHADY, grocery store sushi is better than this. Food was subpar, and rather disgusting. 100% surprised people would actually order from here. Grocery store sushi is better than this place. Go elsewhere. Our order was never sent in when we had ordered 5 rolls, warm sake, and an appetizer. We were served our appetizer, warm sake, and one roll. For an hour, nothing else came. I talked to the guy cleaning off our table where the rest of the meal was, and he said we didnt order anything other than our appetizer. Mind you- we ordered everything immediately. We eventually did finally get one more roll with them promising to rush the roll. 2 hours later we finally left after ordering only 4 small items. When attempting to speak to management, I was told that the manager was the same waiter that took my order. That was complete garbage, and a straight up lie. I had to talk to the hostess to get the manager. The only nice thing Ill say is they have Warm Sake.

The one in Addison was way better. The food was very greasy. Soup was not like the one in ADDISON. Drinks were the only great thing.

Lot of style with not much function to back it up. Showed up 20mins after their Sunday lunch opening and I was left to linger for a while before a hostess regretfully shuffled up with not even an attempt at a smile. Just pointed a table out in a dank corner without bothering to walk me over. I took a well lit table instead. Table server was competent and friendly. As I finished, I went to. At groom and asked my server to bring check. When I returned my table was completely cleared including my personal effects. Come on now . Music too loud. Lot of staff just standing around the bar and being unobservant of how to prepare/attend to guests. No need to return.

The food was very good, but the one exception is that the eel sauce was a little thin and had a different taste than I was expecting. Beautiful presentation on the rolls. We missed happy hour but it has great deals.

Ive been here 3 times, and the wait has been horrible each time. They have staff, so I dont understand why it takes so long. Once, we had to take the food to go because the wait was over an hour and a half!!! Today, we sat for 30 min with no water, no menus, nothing!!! Worst service ever.

I love Sushi Axiom! Probably my favorite HH in Dallas with a wide array of food options and $8 martinis. I come here almost once a week. My favorites are their Ginger Lime Tofu, Happy Ending Roll and the Texican Martini. Great food, great service. Cant beat it! Vegetarian options: Their ramen is so yummy and even have a vegan ramen thats good

Not good anymore. The price is to high for subpar sushi. I used to like this place but lately they have been pretty bad. First off, my order was WRONG. I get takeout so once I get home with my food, I m not coming back. I had to eat something I didn t order or didn t like. Also, they ask you to tip when you order takeout. I am not tipping for a takeout order. I don t know why all of these places are trying to force us to tip for simply picking up food. Anyway, I asked for extra Soy and wasabi not because I wanted extra but because lately there isn t any in the bag. Keep this is mind, I used to tip for the takeout order but I stopped once I realized It was a sham. Well since I have not been tipping, the person who wraps up the order does not put soy or wasabi/ginger in the bag. I asked for extra on my most recent order yesterday and they literally put ONE in the bag and TWO SOY SAUCE FOR AN 80.00 order. Just petty and not professional. I don t have to tip for a takeout order and after I just spent 80.00 dollars I deserve to have freaking condiments that I asked for. That was my last time going there! Parking: Parking is a mess, you literally can never find a spot because all of the employees take up much of the parking. It s not many spots. Even if you go to the restaurant on a slow day it will still have limited parking due to employees taking up the spots.

Some of their dishes are good, and some are not. They have been open at this location for a while, and yet they still are not so organized when seating people. Table service is just ok. We had to wait for a while for a couple of our orders.

Had to flag waitress down a couple times for refills, etc. Parking: Rear parking lot was full, had to park in the employee parking across the street.

The service is consistently dreadful. They were actually warning about it at the restaurant with a sign saying their workers did not have to come in, so give them a break. Wild. Super slow service. The order is never right. They act put out if you ask them to bring you things you ordered but they forgot, like your lemonade. Once, they brought an extra dinner roll that we did not order. They consistently forget to bring the sauces and ginger and wasabi that you order. Two nights ago, we never got any ginger and wasabi the entire dinner. And the rice I ordered had many totally dehydrated parts, like it was uncooked super hard bits, or got dehydrated on the edge of the bowl, but stirred back in, just awful, and inedible, which was extra bad because I was so hungry. I mean, how can a sushi place mess up white rice???

I had an extremely unpleasant experience when I visited the Oak Lawn location on a Sunday evening. First, it took forever for the waiter to acknowledge me (I say acknowledge because he didn t actually even greet me). After he took my order, I waited a very long time for my food. I kept having to ask when I would receive it and multiple people just kept saying that they were going to check on it, but no one brought my food out. I ordered an appetizer as well, which was no where to be found after ~ 45 minutes of waiting. My food finally came out, but it was cold. I had to send that back. They also finally brought out the wrong appetizer. I asked to speak to a manager, but the manager never came to hear my concern. I was getting told a different story from different people; one person said he was on his way, another person said he wasn t even at the restaurant. Eventually I just voiced my concern to an employee (which I m sure was not relayed to any management). My friend who I came with went to the front to ask another person if there was a manager there. She immediately said yes. She pointed at Tommy, who apparently is the manager. But after she walked up to Tommy to tell him what was going on, she came back and told my friend that Tommy was too busy to speak to us. I ve never experienced a restaurant where the manager blatantly is trying to avoid speaking to their customers. This definitely sheds light on the fact that they hold their customers to the lowest value. We were lied to, disrespected, and felt like we were put on the back end of any type of customer service. This is the second time Sushi Axiom had left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Vegetarian options: There is a dedicated vegetarian section on the menu with several options. Parking: There were several spots available when we arrived in the 6 oclock hour on Saturday evening. Kid-friendliness: We took our 9-year old niece. She was easily accommodated and loved the food! Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from the parking lot to the front door.

Just passed by the restaurant and they don t open until 3 and I ve been at this location multiple times. I asked for permission to use the restroom just to pee and had the worst attitude from the front girl. We all have bad days and I m definitely never going back in there. I only asked to pee and even said thank you as I walk out and I ve never walk into a place and gotten so much attitude from someone like I did just now. Rude and unethical.
