Bret and his office are amazing. I was fighting a pretty serious case out of Dallas while i was living in San Diego . I reached out and they were there for me and helped me out with everything, worked out a payment plan that was affordable and he went to work and got the case fully dismissed!!! Hands down the BEST attorney in Dallas! The ONLY attorney I ve ever had that actually tells you the truth and does what he says he can do every single time. First and foremost, I want to thank Bret for his service! Well, that is for serving his country and next for rendering his services on all, yes all of my cases! Bret is hard working and very honest man up front, he will inform you whether he can help or not! Jusr to share a bit of my background, I had a 10 year deferred adjudication probation and had been supervised for about 4 years, make a long story short, it was illegal and I shouldn t have been on it!!! Thanks to Bret, the case was dismissed and I have been probation free , So if you need a solid person on your team, then please know Bret is your man! My husband and I turned to Bret when his probation was almost over, but the amount of Community Service he had was ridiculous for anyone who has to work a normal 8-5. Bret worked with us, it was cost effective, and he had my husband take care of everything he needed to. We were able to get the Community Service hours waived and expunged of all charges. Well worth it and i wish we didnt wait 9 years to do this! Probably could have cut down probation if wed have gone this route sooner. Thanks for being an amazing and caring attorney!

If I could give Mr. Schmidt a 6 star review I would. He has been my attorney for years, and has always gone the extra mile in his representation of my past issues with the criminal justice system. Bret (Ill call him that because he is also my friend) not only provided top notch representation for me, he has been instrumental in my return to society and me maintaining sobriety and living life the way its supposed to be lived. Bret is always available to offer advice and guidance, even though the issues I hired him to represent me on have long passed. I have found that he has concern and empathy for his clients, unlike the majority of criminal lawyers whose main concerns revolve around money. Bret is a strong family man, and a devout Christian. Waste of time and money. He ll just take your money and say he s working. He won t answer your questions, text nor calls. Did I mention his erratic behavior?!. You re basically on his time. And he Has a federal open case.like why does he still have a license if he s a criminal as well? We got a 40 year pled. 40 YEARSSSSSS.

I highly recommended hiring Bret Schmidt as your attorney he will not disappoint you. He returns calls promptly and is very easy to reach, he even answers calls on his cellphone regularly. Bret helped me beat a complex case with a very difficult county. He assured me at the beginning of my ordeal that everything would be fine and he was correct in every way. Great Attorney! I had been sentenced to 10 years of probation and had served 9 of them with no violations. After trying NUMEROUS times for over 2 years to talk with my probation officers and the judge over my case about an early release, I was fed up. The City of Dallas judicial system is so slow and of course, they really dont care about you if youre not a trouble maker so they would rather keep you on probation and milk more money out of you...Bret filed a motion and I was released from probation within 2 months of hiring him. I stood in front of the judge for about 2 minutes and it was all over. Bret did a great job of handling my early release request... I only wish I would have hired him to be my attorney in my original hearing 10 years ago, might not have had to deal with any of this. Thanks again Bret

For 3 years I was on the run from probation on a violation. I was always worried and looking behind my shoulders in fear that today would be that day. I already had an attorney that I hired who said they could lift my warrant and get me back on track without having to turn myself in and well two weeks later after the initial payment of $1,500 he said he couldnt do it and that the only way to resolve my situation was to turn myself in. So i called countless of attorneys to see if they could help me lift my warrant and get me back on track with probation and every single one of them said I would have to turn myself in because the DA was not trying to hear it. That the DA didnt even want to talk about my case until I turned myself in. And well I was not trying to hear THAT either! I knew some where out there was the person that could help me. And that person was BRET SCHMIDT!!! Within TWO working days my warrant was lifted but had I been able to go in that Monday he called, it would have been ONE! He has brought back peace to my life! Now Im back on probation and worry free! So take my advice, if youre in a legal bind and in need of a GREAT PERSON and ATTORNEY, CALL HIM FIRST!
