Dallas skyline staple courtesy of famed architect I.M. Pei. The finish out is nicely modern and the grounds are well-kept and tended to. The addition of the AMLI Tower directly north is a thoughtful extension of the original towers style.

I have been a tenant for more than 10 years. Building management is apparently struggling finacially. A key indicator to me has been the failure to wash the outside windows, which they used to do regularly. I cannot recall the last time the windows were washed, and it is an embarrassment. Today a client commented that the view was good but they could not see much because the windows were so dirty. I have also noticed a reduction in the number of security personnel. A few weeks ago I noticed that a couple of homeless people made it to the 27th floor and were using the bathroom. I dont know what is going on, but management is not taking care of this property the way that they used to prior to the pandemic.

This building symbolized Dallas for me. It has such an interesting shape and almost mirror-like façade, its very intriguing and instantly recognizable despite not being the tallest building in the city. Fortunately the building itself is not the reason for this review, its the surrounding of this 220 meters tall skyscraper that gave it its name - Fountain Plaza. I was absolutely shocked by the beauty of it as I have never seen a place like this in my life! The array of 172 dancing fountains in the plaza is just spectacular. The water cools the air, and the grown trees provide shade, therefore I felt very comfortable on a hot Friday afternoon. There are plenty of benches here, which is appreciated as sitting on meticulously cut grass is not allowed. As the Fountain Plaza is an office building, the plaza was literally empty outside of an office hours, but let me tell you, if I worked here I would have spent every lunch break here! Visited in June 2023.

After taking my kids to the Perot Museum, we walked a few blocks to Fountain Place. They have a courtyard that contains a 40x40ft square of fountains that spray up from the ground. After checking for any signs requesting people stay out of the water, I let my kids play in them as it was a warm day, and we are new to Dallas (having moved down from Seattle WA). Well, after about three mins we were swarmed by three security guards, one of them rudely telling us to get out. I pulled my kids out of the fountains, and the security guards obviously watched us until we were off the premise - seriously. In Seattle it was normal for people to play in such fountains on warm days. So I guess just post some dang signs or something.

This is a lovely site/sight. Several different venues located here. The main attraction is the water show kind of centered all around the buildings. The sound of the water reminds me of waterfalls. It has a calming effect. Not to mention the beauty.
