Gorgeous set up, like a speakeasy. Small quaint place. I started with one of their signature mules, quite delicious with an exceptional amount of mint leaves at the top for presentation means. Then was the yakuza, a spin on an old fashioned. Definitely strong and full of flavor. Finally I finished with the espresso self they have, my favorite as I am a fan of white Russians. Extremely dark place so be advised. The staff was on point. Great service and attentive people. Enjoyed the different vibes from speakeasy to a hideaway in Japan. I enjoyed myself. Will be back when in dallas. Overall 4 stars.

They dont have food and its really small. It wasnt bad at all but wasnt expecting it to be so small and definitely assumed there would be at least some small plates offered. Per the website the dress code is really strict. I questioned that but dressed nicely just in case. That was a stretch for such a small venue and definitely noticed other people there where it seemed they werent worried about a dress code. Overall I think what I saw about the spot to make me go was over exaggerated. Its cute but not a must go in my opinion. Its not a bad experience and I certainly didnt have a bad time.

Wow! Im a neighbor to this bar and I usually go here and there for drinks but leave shortly after 1 drink since the music isn t great. Last night was the first time since they opened where it was amazing!! The staff changed the music to R&B and suddenly for the first time everyone was swaying and enjoying the night together. Everyone was in a great mood. The vibes were so good it even encouraged me to stay longer and everyone in my party to buy more drinks. I even overheard one person even said If they keep the music like that I ll for sure be a regular. Me too! Please keep the good music going! At least maybe a R&B night or too. With the new music, now the place is perfect.

Parliament has a racist dress code aimed to keep people of color out. If you re going to enforce a dress code; the rationale has to be sound. The bouncer claimed a double standard exists. This is bad business. Expect to continually lose business.

I love parliament! Like truly! I come often and I always bring guests when they are in town so they can experience my favorite bar in Dallas. However, this 1 star review is because of the dress code. My friend was denied entry as a male due to wearing faux Birkenstock slides. My female friend and I were deemed acceptable with slide on sandals but our male friend was denied entry for essentially the same thing. I was dressed more casually than he was and was told by the bouncer that double standards exist. This is ridiculous! I used to be a proud patron but splitting hairs over clothing of people who want to give you money is bad business. I ve come to parliament since the dress code has been enacted in workout clothes, Jean shorts and slides and have never been denied entry and it is ridiculously unfair that my friend was denied. I ask to the management of Parliament, what is the aim of your dress code? Who is it that you re trying to keep out? What s the true demographic you re trying to attract? Let me also add that both my friend and I had been to work earlier in the day at our jobs in education and were deemed unacceptable for entry into a BAR!!!! GET REAL!!!!!!!!

Omg!! My favorite cocktail bar in life...so far lol!!! It s so squanky and such a perfect spot to chill and converse on a date or with friends. They have happy hours that serve $5-$9 drinks...remember this is a specialty cocktail bar soooo this is a HUGE bargain. The crowd is usually friendly and fun and the staff is alwayssss professional and friendly!!

Got food poisoning TWICE (didnt learn my lesson the first time) and ended-up getting hospitalized. Drink I ordered smelled and tasted like rotten eggs. This was confirmed by my friends. Obnoxious bartenders and manager, automatic gratuities. I would pass. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Its small, but a classy environment. My first option for a happy hour spot in the city - great specials and great drinks. Parking is street parking and hard to secure close parking depending on the day. But Ive never had a bad experience at Parliament. Im a fan.

Parliament is the go to for a cocktail and enjoyable time. Even though it s small and intimate it sets the perfect night out with a date or friend. The staff was so friendly and attentive. And the drinks, they were good and so strong for it to be happy hour (on Mondays.) Most places are known to skimp on happy hour, but they serve up incredible cocktails regardless of when or how much. Will indeed come again!

Had a terrible experience even before entering the place. I feel we were being mansplained and policed. I forgot my ID because I was travelling internationally. They said it was okay if I could show a digital copy and match it with a physical card with my name. When I showed them my ID, they bluntly declined saying What kind of a person leaves their ID at home? , You do know that IDs are meant to be carried around with you? , Why are you asking for Wifi/hotspot? Do you not have a sim that works? , Instead, they could have just denied entry for no ID rather than treat us that way and waste our time.

came here since my friend had a layover in dallas and this was her first time here!! wanted to show her a good time on a monday night and this place was PERFECT!! cheaapp all day happy hour on mondays is such a good sell. the drinks were strong and wonderfull. the atmosphere was sublime and the workers were amazing, like customer service was off the charts. will be coming back :)

The best happy hour in Dallas. Great crowd and ambiance. Then its a craft bar which is an added bonus!! I may start living here. I moved to Dallas a little over a year. I have been back here a few times, but its totally different. They have new bartenders they are ok but the new cocktail server is pretty bland. No smile and slightly rude. The music is also very different. If you come here its only for the happy hour drinks. And they have a weirdly enforced dresscode. My friend couldnt get in but someone else under dressed was allowed in.

Let me tell you..this is the neighbor bar that you need! Parliament is a mainstay in what I remember as a child being near Thomas street and a great chicken spot that stayed open way past 2am. Things have changed and now townhouses, boutiques and eateries have appeared. I work In Richardson so leaving at 3:30pm I will get to the downtown area a little before 5pm. I was walking up and standing at the door. The staff manager profusely apologized that he had us waiting since they had a meeting before opening up. The first drink is on house. It was 5:06pm . Now that s customer s service. I appreciated that even though I didn t think that was so long. Parliament has a standard they follow for all patrons and they uphold it well. We sit at the bar but the seating is plentiful. There s also outdoor seating. It was perfect day to enjoy the fresh air. The bar is impressive as well as the crafted drink menu for happy hour. As we started into our first hour the seats begin filling up. By the time we left (7pm) there was a eager couple hoping they could take our seats. The only thing missing was a little snack. My friend said they did have snacks but I would have enjoyed that too.

I recently encountered an incredibly disheartening and discriminatory experience at Parliament Bar, which has left me feeling both disappointed and frustrated. It is with a heavy heart that I share my encounter, hoping that this review will shed light on the unacceptable treatment I faced and encourage the necessary changes to be made. As an individual of African descent, I was appalled to find that I was denied entry into Parliament Bar solely based on the color of my skin and the way I was dressed. Despite observing that other individuals, dressed similarly to me, were allowed inside, I was unfairly targeted and prevented from experiencing what this establishment had to offer. This blatant racial discrimination is not only morally wrong but also legally reprehensible. The fact that Parliament Bar allows such discriminatory practices to persist is deeply troubling. No person should ever be denied entry or be subjected to mistreatment due to their race or appearance. Discrimination in any form has no place in our society, let alone within a supposedly inclusive and welcoming establishment. Regrettably, I cannot comment on the quality of the ambiance, service, or the overall experience within the bar, as I was denied the opportunity to step foot inside. However, it is evident that an establishment that engages in such discriminatory behavior, even at the entrance, is not a place to be frequented or supported.

Felt out of place and uncomfortable. The drinks were watered down and a bit overpriced. The vibe felt tense i was unaware of a dress code, but nothing was mentioned to me I was wearing shorts and gym shoes at the time It seemed I got a few looks from some guy guarding the door the bartender was cool though so I left a good tip and was on my way fast my flight was leaving that night.

We enjoyed the drinks and the vibe of the place but I was pretty pissed to see that they charged us a hefty service charge for just two people who ordered two drinks. So our bill ended up being way more than expected. I ve never experienced this before, so I was appalled. Needless to say, we won t be back.

Do not support this establishment. No clearly stated policies on dress code, it s then used to discriminate against a certain portion of the population, i.e. young black males. As a touring musician I enjoy trying new places, been to Parliament twice, this place will never get another dime from me after the video I just watched.

Very rude employees. Food was ok but nothing I couldnt get at any other restaurant. The atmosphere was nothing special. They dont tell you in advance that for a 2 person party they will automatically charge gratuity, so if you tip cash youre actually double tipping. I would recommend any other restaurant before recommending this one. For the price you pay for a meal there, I would have expected a better experience. Dine at your own risk!!!

Amazing atmosphere and service! Apparently people were upset about the dress code, but I was wearing my normal clothes, a dress and shoes, and had no problems getting in. Came with a large group and none of us had problems. I guess people dont understand that what you wear out, and what you wear to the gym or the beach, are not supposed to be the same outfit. I live near a beach and restaurants/bars constantly deny service to people showing up in bathing suits, so Im always aware of dress codes anywhere I go. I dont blame the establishment for wanting people to come dressed appropriately. Makes me like it more!
