This is by far my favorite local hang out! I have been coming here for about two years and appreciate the vibe, staff, food, and consistency. The burger & fries might be the best in town! I love coming for brunch on the weekend with the very amazing Jonathon! If you cant stop by during the day on the weekend be sure to visit Riley, Jo & Joey. They are pretty awesome too. :) The staff always makes sure you are well taken care of and its a great place to mingle, drink, and catch a good sports game.

The owner ( part-time bartender) Craig is by far the rudest person I have interacted with in a while. I WAS a regular who would often frequent the place to show local support . No longer. He is RUDE and sarcastic for no reason and is quite selective in who chooses to entertain. Every other staff member is excellent.

Trash experience ordered a hamburger with ketchup and mustard they put some special sauce on it...told me to take one patty off and eat the other one, and that one wasnt cooked fully....then had me pay for the burger I didnt eat because they kept the kitchen open for me!

Management allows customers to smoke on the patio and employees to smoke behind the restaurant even though UDR prohibits smoking within 25 feet of all buildings in this area. This is extremely disrespectful to all the residents who live nearby as well as anyone else who doesnt want to be around cigarette smoke.

The waitstaff/bartenders are great, the atmosphere is great as well, until the owner is there. He is rude, petty, way unprofessional and out of line. I had a situation happen where he kept skipping songs we were playing (that mind you we paid for) screaming NOPE. When confronted (I was in no way screaming at or disrespecting him), he stated no one wants to hear polka music and that if I wanted my dollar back so bad, here it is (he pulled a wad out of his pocket and basically humiliated me). I don t care if that s not the atmosphere he s trying to create as he stated, people were actually listening and singing along. However, if he would ve handled the situation professionally and said, hey, we don t play that type of music here that s not the vibe I would ve accepted it. Next time, either play your own music, limit your jukebox music selection or handle it better. The situation made worse and was blown up out of proportion by his actions and words. There was so much more said but he was just plain rude, disrespectful, stuck up, and he had a horrible attitude.

The employees here are beyond great, the only issue with our visit yesterday was when the ignorant/disrespectful owner . He s so rude and doesn t allow his paying customers to hear songs that are being payed for. If you want to listen to Mexican music, he will skip it and make terrible comments about the genre calling it polka dancing music & that it s not allowed in the bar

Ive been to Vitruvian Park Tavern several times and its kind of a mixed bag of experiences. The chicken sandwich is pretty good, but the overall experience is sometimes lacking. One issue is the slow service, as they need more servers or bartenders. It can take a while just to get a couple of beers. One Sunday afternoon there were a couple of drunk guys stumbling around trying to get people to do shots with them, which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Live your own life, but leave me alone while Im trying to enjoy a few beers with my friends. Another time I witnessed people trying to run on checks by jumping the railing on the patio. The vibe is always unpredictable. Overall, the food and drink selection are decent, but the service and atmosphere need improvement.

A lovely bar to drink at, but DO NOT WORK HERE AS A BARBACK. I worked 13 hours, as in two full shifts until around 2 am, and I was paid $40. Literally 40 bucks. Not even minimum wage for a regular employee, but just over the tipped wage limit to not be able to sue them.

I never leave bad reviews and was really excited to try this place out. I ordered a simple drink, they kept walking past me for 20 minutes without service without acknowledging me at all. I went to twisted root instead, and was serviced immediately. If I could give less than one star I would.

I went in tonight and couldnt get a menu. The square links they provided on their napkin dispensers were too small for my Galaxy 21 phone to pick up (or the lighting was too dim) and I couldnt see a menu, and they didnt have one. So, I left. Your staff tried to find a paper menu, but couldnt so I couldnt order food. Great job!

Vitruvian Park Tavern seems like a fun, local hangout. I came and stayed at the end of one shift and the beginning of another. The first set of bartenders were a lot more friendly to me than the second set. Nothing necessarily wrong with that. Just something I noticed. The second set werent rude or inattentive or anything. Just less engaged. If I lived in the area, I could see myself being a regular. If you live nearby, you should check it out!

Horrible customer service! Went last night to celebrate a birthday and one of the bartenders screamed at several people from our party to sit down. We understand they wanted to clear the walkways, but it was weird considering there was another big party right next to us also standing near the bar. Had recently moved into the apartments nearby when I decided to compare the two nearby bars margs. VPT won by a wide margin. The staff is friendly and professional, and Craig does a great job interacting with customers and serving up seriously good drinks. On top of the stellar bar service, the food is awesome. Especially the fries... my vegetarian friend will get 2 orders for dinner and 1 to heat up at home - theyre that good. If youre looking for good drinks and food, this is the place. Id suggest the Sazerac and the Mule (the ginger beer they use is killer). Or go with a Craigarita - it doesnt disappoint.

The bartender is so rude. I went in to use the restroom & they have a sign that says you have to be a paying customer to use them which was fine with me, a hot chocolate sounded nice anyways. As I approached the counter I realized I didnt have my wallet so u couldnt buy the hot chocolate. Mind you, I have eaten here before so I was not new to this environment. To my surprise the bartender started yelling at me with a customer and was so unprofessional. I didnt get her name but shes latina with highlights. She made it a point to humiliate me. I understand people probably do that all the time but she needs to learn how to individualize situations & act accordingly. I will never in my life come to dine or drink here. You guys try Mi cocina or Mesero. The service & food there is phenomenal. & if you look at the owners response, that will tell you everything you need to know about their unprofessional views. Please note that their is a more professional way of handling such situations & strongly suggest you train your staff correctly.

This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. Smack in the middle of the booming Vitruvian Park community, VPT is only a stones throw from where I lived at the time. Once a week I would pop in for a beer or two during the day, for about an hour or two, and Id always be sure to see Craig. Craig is one of the friendliest bar owners I have ever met, along with his staff (well, it was one younger fellow by the name of Anfernee that was always there when I would show up.) I may be moving back to the area, and if so, this place is one of the big perks of returning. Check them out.

Amazing spot for day or night, perfect for sunsets and enjoying the beautiful weather with great outside patio. The staff is one of the most welcoming and best services I ever had! I live across the street from here and have come a dozen times because the owner always seemed friendly and I wanted to support small businesses. Tonight, I took a girl here on a first date thinking we could get some food, but the kitchen was closed. She doesnt drink alcohol, but no big deal, well just hang out and drink water. Most of the tables are empty, whatever right? The owner came over and confronted us about how rude it was to exist in the establishment without buying a drink because he spent money on, and he actually said this, the napkins and water. Imagine losing a return customer over the cost of napkins. lol Anyway, Addison Ice House is across the street and I really recommend their Pigs in a Blanket.

This place has the best bartenders I have ever met because they know exactly how to make drinks. I have been to so many places and ask for drinks most bartenders would look at me like I was just weird for asking to make certain combinations or even tell them the ingredients. If it s there job they should know how to mix drinks right. I give props to all the wonderful bartenders and just to show you how good one of the drinks I had asked everything I ever wanted they did perfectly! Will definitely go again plus they are all super nice and it has a great vibe along with being very clean plus comfortable. Never an akward moment there and I ll be sure to invite more friends to enjoy the service I had! Kudos and 5 stars to the best bar I ve visited in a long time! Keep up the incredible job to all staff there and can t wait to try something new, and they just love to make customers happy. My boyfriend and I came here for some Saturday coffee and we loved it! The barista and bartender were very attentive and great conversationalists. The coffee was great and they had a pretty good menu for brunch and dinner. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I love this tavern, I really love how the owner goes out of his way for his guests. His employs are amazing as well and cary his vision of how he wants his business run. You can not go wrong walking in the doors of this establishment. 95% of the time i walk in the door i am greeted by not only the owner but the workers them selves. The atmosphere is phenomenal its calm its rejuvenating its perfect for upscale people and calm spirited people alike. They support private buy outs and work their hardest for their people. I am a regular and highly recommend this place. Also note for all, expect a great conversation, experience the quality your self and dont take my word for it write your own review and show the world how you feel about our community

We have been to this location a couple of times for company events. Friendly and timely service every time! We have just as great an experience with two or three as we do with 30+. Highly, highly recommend for your next night out.

Me and some co-workers stopped in on a Wednesday at 4pm just as it was opening. The owner greeted us and made our drinks. Drinks were delicious and the ambiance was nice. I plan on coming back

I have been here few times and the environment is fantastic! The host (bar owner) and his team is just fabulous. They make the best drinks in Dallas Metroplex and are the most welcoming bar I have been in this area. They try to personalize drinks, no matter how crowded they are. The best thing is they build relationships with their customer and intermediate you to come over again and again. I would definitely recommend this place. Keep it up Craig and Johnathon!!!

Nice tavern with coffee and some good snacks! We got some hot chocolate with baileys and their beef empanadas. Watched some football too! Great place to enjoy the Vitruvian Lights indoors as well.

I stopped in after visiting the Vitruvian Lights. The coffee was good, strong. And the Cheese Danish was delicious. The ambience was relaxed. Decor was beautiful. The bartenders were on point with conversation and making you feel welcome. If Im ever in the area again, I will definitely stop in again!

I ATE ALL THE Kale SALAD AND Turkey Club SANDWICH it was Delicious! The bread was wheat and had grains and seeds and the turkey bacon tomotoe and lettuce was so fresh. They heated and toasted the bread like a grilled cheese. I had a craft beer that was called Delirium very tasty. They have $3 happy hour. Im so happy a restaurant with fresh healthy food opened under our apartments. The bartenders are Giani and Ellee and thet are very courteous.
