The Southern Classic Daiquiri Shop is located right outside of downtown Dallas and is easily accessible from Ross Ave or Liberty st. The food is always good here and reminds me of back home (Baton Rouge/New Orleans) flavors every time. Its such a great place to watch a game, especially if youre a Saints fan! There are plenty of TVs and a decent sound system. The energy in that place can get pretty high and exciting! My only issue is the bathroom. It was not terrible, but a few extra cleaning rotations would help fix any issues. Overall, I would def recommend you to get in there to try a few things off their Southern Louisiana style menu. This place def get a Certificate of Cajun stamp!

This is the best Louisiana style food I ve had in Dallas! The food was a mix of South Louisiana Creole and North Louisiana Cajun. I was reminded of my mama s home cooking! We ordered the Front Porch platter and daiquiris. It was a lot going on in a good way. I felt like I was back home in Nola for a minute. The meal was soooo good with a tinge of nostalgia. I ve definitely found my taste of home in Texas!

Shreveport,LA in the city. The food was good, it was a little to salty for my taste. It was very flavorful. Taste like something I would cook in my kitchen, except for the salt. It was not to the point where I couldn t eat the food but it was noticeable. The deserts are not that great but they were bearable. The toast was not it, the 1 thing to do better on. I will definitely try the food next time I m in Dallas.

Been wanting to check this place out for a while. I don t do frozen drinks, but the food looked decent. However the prices are laughable. $15-20 for a cocktail in a short glass? Not even a big glass? Nah, that s wild. I had a plate of blackened catfish over white rice with crawfish gravy. It s tasted good, but at $21 it was the cheapest meal on the menu, aside from their happy hour options. $40 for one cocktail and a plate for one just doesn t add up here. The inside was ok and so was the staff. But I almost wanted my money back for that drink. Not going back and do not recommend.

We were originally introduced to this amazing restaurant through a family friend and have been coming here for years, the food has always been delicious, absolutely on point, however we were here recently and had a horrible experience, the taste of the food was completely off and extremely salty, it s seems like they changed their recipes along with their menu, this place truly had some of the most amazing Cajun food in DFW, unfortunately it seems that is not the case anymore, hopefully they go back to their original recipes and bring back the delicious food again.

I enjoyed the food here. It was good. No complaints there. I don t like how they open at 12pm. With so many businesses in this area. We eat lunch around 11 am. Maybe that needs to be changed. I also was taken back at the long wait time to get Food. It took my food 45 minutes to get to me. I was a bit disappointed in that. Not sure if that s a staffing issue or what happened there. I would definitely come back but just be prepared to wait a little while for your food. We were also told there was no boudin balls, fried shrimp and crawfish étouffée. I was like okay good to know. If you will be out of items maybe a suggestion would be to substitute it with something else since you are still charging the same price. The price is a bit on the high end honestly. But I wouldn t mind coming back if they adjust their hours to work with all the businesses surrounding that area. I would recommend the pasta was good. And the boudin egg rolls were good. We also had the gator bites which weren t bad. Food was seasoned great and I appreciated the portions.

Well, I hate leaving bad reviews, because I ran a BBQ Joint, and I know how difficult some days can be. The chicken was pink and a little slimy inside, the ranch dressing was at room temperature, I am sure sitting out, instead of being refrigerated, last $34.50 later, I wont go back. Horrible Customer Service A lil short guy ( manager) counting money didnt speak nor acknowledge us at no point for about 7 minutes after us standing and waiting . No line , I decided to Not purchase anything !!!!! I cant Believe theyre representing Louisiana MY HOME STATE. The manager turns around and wipes his fingers on the daiquiri machine ( condensation) after counting money and then return and continue to count money. Still Never Acknowledges Neither one of Us!!!

Baby lemme tell you how I ate here for the first time yesterday and I m going back again TODAY! I m picky with my Cajun/Creole food, I m from New Orleans and when I tell you their red beans taste like when I cook it at home. The fish was fried to perfection, golden and flaky. The étouffée was CHEFS kiss! Be careful on the daiquiris too, they mix them WELL

The drink lasted me a few days, lol! The dish was very delicious ... Im from tha boot, so I definitely appreciate great Southern Cooking. It looks like a hole-in-the- wall and is at the tale end of Deep Ellum, but the freakn Daiquiri and the Natchez something was extremely good!! I cant remember the name exactly bc it was our 1st time, but I remembered the taste is that Southern Louisiana taste I was looking for and Ill be back for more!!!!!

The food was good, not great. I got there around 9:15 pm. Ordered my food an received it about 9:40pm. At 10:00 pm, the music was turned off and they announced that if you were not waiting for an order to get ready, you had to leave. No warning or anything prior. It was my first time visiting so I had no idea we would be kicked out at 10. They should warn you or tell everyone who comes after 9pm that you can only order to go. This was very RUDE and disrespectful to the customers. Daiquiri was good, food mid, but being kicked out at 10 pm in the middle of my dinner was shocking and offensive. Catfish tasted liked it had been cooked in old grease and was slightly burnt, shrimp and red beans and rice were good. Not the best impression for my first visit. Not sure if I will return.

Me and my fiance visited this place during our visit to Dallas and I must say the food here is absolutely amazing. I ordered the crayfish pasta and it was so good , the atmosphere is a vibe and its a lot of different flavors of daiquiri you can order. I tried the blue lemonade and it was on point. I definitely will come back to this place on my next visit to dallas.
