Went to see a concert and had a great time. The bathrooms were super clean and looked new. I would warm you that there is a lot of stairs to climb if you are going to see someone perform.

In a touring band that played this venue yesterday. I will say the load-in up the outdoor staircase was BRUTAL, but everything else was quite good! The venue itself was in good condition, with a good PA and kind/helpful staff. The house sound engineer, Kevin, went above and beyond to accommodate the tours audio setup and nitpicks, and fully delivered. Not sure how many starts to give for food because there was none.

Saw a great concert from one of my favorite songwriters. Quaint and vintage theater. Very intimate atmosphere with the performers. Parking was quite a mess, as expected with downtown Dallas but the walk and pay for parking was worth the concert. Well be looking at the upcoming bills at this venue. I very much enjoyed it.

Been here several times on wed. for swing dancing -no partner required. Great crowd, and excellent instruction. Several times group has had live music and groups have always been great. Have not frequented the bar, but it seems a cozy place with friendly service Parking: There are a few spots near hall, but predominately street, and most of that meetered. There was a lot nearby, but signage pretty clear that there was a risk of getting towed -- lots of cars there regardless. I parked there once without issue

Super cool old building, amazing people, wonderful volunteer staff theres always swing dancing on Wednesdays and acoustic music jams on Thursdays. The nicest most welcoming people ever, if youre in the neighborhood definitely check this place out. This place has been under some pretty amazing transformations. Its turning into a great venue for weddings, and any other event needed.

An amazing historic ballroom! A great place for swing dancing every Wednesday night! Jerry & Kathy are the best. There are other great events here too! The rockabilly review happens every year. Pre-Covid there would be hundreds of people every Wednesday! I miss dancing here and visit whenever I can. There is a great dance floor and stage upstairs. Great venue. I ve even heard that Leon Bridges has showed up for a different concert here.

I can t say enough wonderful things about the venue staff. Amber is a dream to work with. She is incredibly responsive to communication, a hard worker and will do all she can to make a night special. We recently flowered a Wedding Reception there and the staff was so helpful with set up and breakdown. Not to mention, the food was delicious. You won t be disappointment! The best staff, great ambience and SO much history and character.

A quaint little dance hall. This intimate setting adds some ambience to a performance. Dont expect a professional sound system and be prepared for metal folding chairs to hurt your back over an hours long performance. The balcony door was open to allow some air flow but this also let in traffic noises from outside. The staff was friendly. There is also a small bar on the first floor.

Its a historical landmark with a lifetime history of great musicians playing the Dance Hall upstairs. Its bar downstairs harkens to the days of old west. Its great for Weddings and Private Functions rentals and if you see a concert upstairs there you will never forget it.

Came out to the Sons of Herman Hall for a series of concerts and to see an long time friend play in his new band. The history of the place is very impressive. The old wood is cozy and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

This is a dance hall not a bar. It has live music most nights and everyone seems to be very friendly. Bar makes great cocktails. Only reason I dont go weekly is because the place is packed and all those people dancing get pretty smelly.

A strange and magical venue. It feels like going to a show at the same place I used to have Boy Scout meetings. A homey little bar on the first floor is what initially draws you in, but the kindness of the staff and the unique atmosphere is what really endears. For those going to a show, be warned that it doesnt really seem like a venue at first, but the magic happens upstairs. If youve found the bar, youre in the right spot. Grab a drink and wait for the doors.
