Wow, Ive been coming to this place for a decade. I prefer coming during the weekday happy hours for the cheap drinks ($3.50 wells) and food specials. Weeknights can be chill too. I tend to stay away on weekends as it has historically been a rowdy young crowd, but Im not sure if that has continued since Covid. Really good chicken fingers and fries! Check their website for food and drink specials.

I found this place on the clock app (tik tok) I live in the neighborhood and wanted to try a place out. I walked in wasn t greeted. Had to seat myself and go to the bar to order my drink. The bar was missing your basics Tito s etc then was informed the cook has not shown up and they will not be taking food orders.

First of all Calista (I hope that s right) is a gem. So friendly and sweet, pours a good drink, and pays attention to what s going on in the bar. The sliders are great, they have fun bar games. It was music bingo and karaoke tonight. I was in a few months ago for brunch when bread winners was full and and that was awesome also.

Such a fun little top notch dive bar! Great music of all genres! Great service from awesome cool fun loving employees! An upstairs open balcony dining room really gave this place a private friendly atmosphere and their outside seating was quite plentiful! FYI .add smokers stations and trash cans . Or everyone will keep putting their butts in the plants or throwing them in the ground I m used to pocketing mine but did walk all over outside looking for a place to relinquish my garbage oooof the 90 s music was so on point I highly recommend those who are a fan check this place out! That revolver blood honey was tasty and they had Daddys favorite whiskey! FIREBALL!!! Definitely will be man next time I come through this area! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! Prices were respectful to the area wish I would ve got more pics of your enviable establishment! Oh and we actually enjoyed all the airplanes taking off over the building! So cool and so loud!

Great atmosphere for a dive bar. I used to come here often because I live nearby, but the the beer became increasingly tepid, I lost my desire. Warm beer is unacceptable winter, spring, summer, fall. Service is good. A new beer cooler is a must.

I hosted my bday party there (in July) and the team was fantastic! Bartender Max and the manager Patrick made sure everything was running smooth and that we had a great experience. I preorderd food (which was from the bread winners cafe - super yummy!). Would highly recommend hosting your event there. Drinks, staff and atmoshpere was wonderful.

Please do not have their margaritas. We had just left a dinner for my birthday and I had wanted a drink after, so I came here and got their margarita. Mind you, this was my first drink of the night. After one literal sip of their margarita, 2 seconds later, my stomach was ruined the rest of the night and I couldnt drink anything else. I cant look at margaritas the same anymore.

Quarter is a great place after work to chill. New orleans vibe but a neighborhood feel. The recent sale of the company made me hesitant at first as the new owners have zero experience in the service industry. That said quarter has a charm and feel not found in most places, Have had many a memorable evenings there including my wedding night, Its rare to find a place like this and I hope the new owners understand the depth of friendships and time it took to bring Quarter to what it is today. If you want to feel welcome, relax, and have great food (especially the sliders) go and have a drink and say hello.

Great New Orleans French Quarter atmosphere without the French Quarter antics. Very spacious: 2 stories, lots of rooms/seating, and a rooftop patio on McKinney Ave. As far as bar food goes, it s excellent. Good tap beer list, and mixed drinks are solid as well.

Went in with a group of friends and had a little too much fun over a year ago and over the past year, Adrian and Alexis both denied service to me and at least 6-10 friends in my group each time - over the past year this has happened at least 10x .Imagine turning away a $1,500 tab 10x over the last year plus - we always go around the corner but it s a shame turning away roughly $15k in the last 12 months I understand being a bar tender must be difficult.

Worst customer service experience ever. Bartender Mike (who I am pretty sure is the manager) pressured me to tip more. Then when he wasnt happy with my tip he waited to serve me and not look my direction for 10 plus min. When he finally served me if he told me that if he took care of me that I would have to take care of him and tip him 20%. I told him that was highly inappropriate and rude to say. He said I dont work for free He then proceeded to tip him self without asking which is ILLEGAL. What a joke. From reading reviews it looks like this has been happening for a while. Good luck staying in business scamming your customers. Not even a cool enough bar to deal with rude staff.

It Is a cool bar. But When you pay at the bar they will say that you can t tip a dollar amount but only a percentage which is a lie the machine will let them enter a fixed amount as tip. They are scamming people for tips by tricking them (purposely making it complicated) so you give them a 20% tip which ends up being way higher than you would pay a bartender for serving you at the bar (e.g a dollar a beer) . For example you do shots with friends at the bar and spend $100 , I would normally tip maybe $5-$6 for the bartender serving the shots but if you enter a 20% tip then it s a $20 tip which is too high of a tip for a round of shots. I ve see two different bartenders on different days pull this scheme and that is 100% a scam.

Service at the bar was friendly and quick and drinks were stout. The place has a really cool setup with up upstairs patio area with full bar, but unfortunately all the tables upstairs were taken. We ate out on the downstairs patio. It was a bit awkward to order, we didnt realize we needed to place our food order with the bartender since we saw waiters rushing around serving food we thought a waiter would come take our order. Food was good quality, well cooked, and was plated beautifully.

Worst Experience I have ever had at a bar. The bartenders were rude and inefficient: I waited almost an hour to get to the upstairs part just for the manager to reject my group from coming up because a friend was too intoxicated . First he said he was told by his employees that she was intoxicated and then he said that he had tried to talk to her three times in line and she was too drunk too respond which was a complete lie because we were with her the whole time. He clearly mistook her for someone else and got caught up in his lies. He was a power hungry creep who couldn t acknowledge his own mistake. He kicked us out and we will never be returning there again. Any visitors from out of town I encourage you to go to deep ellum or bishop arts area because quarter bar is 0/10 stars.

Has a great layout for small gatherings and conversation, and the rooms are well appointed. Unfortunately, the staff and management are rude, hostile, and slow. My friends and I are very easy going and know what it means to give great service. This place unfortunately did not have the same outlook. The bartender Abby asked how come I didn t tip her a certain amount. I was there for 2 seconds to celebrate a friends birthday and me and my friend communicated on who would give a tip because we weren t staying long. Asking this question was very rude and she was very defensive. We spent like $20 on the music machine and to say the least the environment was very unwelcoming. The bouncer was awesome and made it fun but everyone else definitely racially profiled me and my friends as soon as we stepped in the room. I will not be coming back here and would not recommend this specific location to anyone. Hopefully they can fix their service cause it sucked. Every customer matters!!

As a guest for Bread Winners, we were suggested to grab a drink at Quarter (bar) while we waited to get seated. We thought that this was a great idea so we went to the bar. We approached the bar and the bar tender looked as if he was not having it today. We didn t get greeted at all and he never looked at us as he continued to clean cups. We ordered a Sangria and before we mentioned our next drink ( a mimosa ) he mentioned that they don t do sangrias. He stayed quiet and never mentioned an alternative drink in order to keep our business. Keep in mind that he never once looked at us. We thought so far it was bad service already and we decided to leave. I then called to make a complaint to the manager and he ended up being the MANAGER! I can t believe that a manager would give such service to their customers. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. He didn t even tried to make it up to us. Such a shame.

So I just moved to uptown a week ago. This is the closest bar to my place so I decided to check it out. Ive been here 3 times in that week and can definitely say this place made me feel welcome from the minute i walked in. There is an eclectic mix of personalities here that mix well. They dont tolorate bigotry as Ive seen what i think is the managet kick out a guy for making homophobic remarks. If you are new to the area this bar would welcome you by yourself or with a group!

Went to the quarter bar today at about 4:15pm, & the happy hour well drinks are 3 bux but they are WEAK WEAK WEAK as hell. The wings & french fries are good, but the bartender is just hi & by, with no other interaction with us at all after we ordered the food & drinks. She never even asked us how the food or drinks tasted. They shouldnt sell well drinks for 3 bux if they are going to be this WEAK. I wont be going back.

Came through here for an awesome bar crawl. Would have been a great night except for one terribly rude incident. After having bought several drinks a server came through and rudely pulled away a bottle of water that my boyfriend had bought elsewhere. The server said nothing until my boyfriend called him out and asked what he was doing. The server said no outside drinks allowed and walked away with the bottled water. Clearly we were paying customers and clearly we had simply a bottle of water that would have been free from the bar had we ordered it there. Terribly rude. Will not return.

Went to this place for the second time a while back . The juke box was open to play any type of genre music. Played Cardi B - Money and a worker ran and changed the song to a generic pop song. The excuse was because of the time of day and they only play certain music during the time frame . Made no sense since every genre song was available to play. Went back to the juke box and the songs were greyed out. NEVER AGAIN!! Also the workers were giving a hard time to refund the dollar that we had already spent to play the song. #canceled
