The minute we walked in the guy was immediately like you have to go outside because we had a dog with us. We knew we had to be outside but obviously how were we gonna let him know we were there duh Secondly they were very rude when attending us, just through the menus down and had the most unwelcoming vibe and tone. Food was gross and not very well cooked. Just horrible customer service and disgusting food. Would not recommend. Not pet friendly, not people friendly.

I m a local and have been coming to Lake House since they opened. Cindi has been my server once or twice over my last few visits. And, since I m not a review writer, I hope it says something about her service that I m commenting. She remembered me after not seeing me for over a month and her happy smile and her engagement was really great. She even asked about our dog who wasn t with me (good dog friendly patio). We will continue to be customers, as we have been these last 10 years or so, but folks like Cindi make the decision to drive by to the next patio , a tough one!

We picked this restaurant for dinner because of the good reviews that it has. They weren t wrong! The service was impeccable. The food was incredibly delicious. We are not local to Dallas, but I think whenever we come through, we will make an effort to have a meal here. It is a perfect fit for being in the white rock Lake area. Also, being located on Northwest Highway, it is very easy to get to.

Great spot! Can t believe we ve lived in the area all these years and never stopped here. Every drink the bartender made was great. We had their peach mule, mango mojito and cool as a cucumber delicious!! Their food was also delicious. The entire staff was friendly and inviting, especially the bartender. Will definitely be back.

My boyfriend stumbled across this restaurant for lunch, when we walked in we were immediately greeting with a friendly welcome in and immediately sat. Our server Cindy was amazing and one of the best parts, making the atmosphere better. She did an amazing job. 100% recommend and highly recommend asking for Cindy too.

First time here yet immediately felt like we were regulars! Had heard good things about this place and been wanting to try it. And happy to say they did not disappoint. Started out with the chicken nachos and mango mojito, both were excellent. I had the blackened salmon special and my partner had the chicken sandwich. After a long hike me and my wife decided to come here to get something for dinner. We re a little timid of bars and grills but this place nailed it. The decor is so pretty so atmospheric, the cocktails are wonderful. And don t even get me started on the food. We had a blue cheese honey pizza, and a salmon wrap. Both were absolutely delicious. (Photos provided) our server was so nice to us, and super speedy. The manager checked in on us as well. The food came out really quick for what we ordered but we can tell they hand made both items. Will come back. 10/10

The food and drink are actually really great! Still trying to figure out what the base of their chicken tacos are (it s a brown base and off putting color and water wise but it is delicious!). Bar tender was decent. The only true thing I could knock about it (and anywhere that has it, honestly) is that awful sewage back up smell that permeates. I have zero clue how places don t rectify this instantly because it can ruin a really great place. Maybe it was an off day for it. Will go again for the tacos alone.

Excellent place to host a bicycle club meet-up. They have been good to us for our monthly WRL social rides. There are even bike holders by the patio for the bikes without kickstands. The restrooms are always clean and big enough for getting cycling clothes on, and they have great creative selections of burritos and fancy drinks. The wait staff and bartenders are professional and act like they enjoy the work. It makes it easy to spend a little for a memorable meal. The food was filling enough to satiate after a workout around the lake. Still love this place. Try the steak tacos and French 75 drink (champagne and gin with a little citrus flavor). I skip a lot of dining out and save up to eat here with colleagues. Parking: Shared with Bike Shop and cyclist oriented coffee bar.

Located just a bit off the north end of the trail around White Rock Lake in an unassuming white block is the Lake House. The non pretentious vibe carries through to not only the interior but the back dog friendly covered patio as well. Anchored at its center by a local beer stocked U shaped bar. Staff is friendly and efficient- Heather seems to somehow see what is needed before you have a chance to ask. Food wise- fresh tasty fare. The menu descriptions are brief, so if you have particular allergies or items you wish to avoid you may want to ask your server for clarification; for example, the shrimp avocado salad (delish!!!!) comes standard with a 1000 island type dressing. Not detailed in menu. The shrimp is always perfectly butter tender and the avocado perfect ripe- I order without the dressing so those flavors are not masked. But that is my general style- not big on dressings- let the flavors come through. The point- first time I ordered I was disappointed to discover the dressing. Lol! As a real estate pro specializing in White Rock Lake area, Lake House is an excellent local haunt to share. No formalities. Broad appeal menu w yes an emphasis on fish. Ask what the days specials are, both food and drink. Weekends all day seem to get a bit crowded with post games or Lake workout groups chilling- which adds to the laid back vibe. Delish food will have you smiling.

Management probably did not staff correctly for the lunch time hour. It s probably a symptom of people just not wanting to come in to work and do their job. We went here one windy afternoon so it does feels like we were beside a lake even if in reality there s none. Food presentation was okay although among all these food we ordered, the fried potatoes are the only one I like best. Chicken was a bit bland as well as the chewy, hard crusted waffle. A bit pricey for the amount and quality of food we received. Good service though and ample of parking at the back. When we were there, a band were setting up so looks like they do live entertainment as well. If you just want to hang out and drink some beers during the live entertainment, it could be an okay spot. UPDATE: Apparently they don t do live music. Maybe during that day, March 26 this year when we visited, band upfront setting up were just about to eat as well but this is in fact the Lake House Bar and Grill we went to near White Rock Lake. Pet-friendly and good service though.

This review is long overdue. We have been coming to the Lake House Bar and Grill about once a week for a long time and it is one of our favorites in Dallas. We usually finish up a bike ride or run around White Rock Lake at this little unassuming jewel. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, the owner is very hands-on and caring person and the atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. It is a great little brunch spot on Sat and Sun. Some of our favorites are the Calamari, Mussles, Shrimp Avocado Salad, Shrimp Po-Boy and Crab Cake sandwich to name a few. Oh! and the garlic butter fries are to die for! Very relaxed atmosphere and nice cool pet friendly patio. The chef is accomodating to special requests if it is possible. Lots of great experiences but a few extra-mile service experiences to mention: after a long bike ride from Arlington, we experienced heat exhaustion and the server (I want to say Heather ((I hope that is correct)) gave almost 911 care and attention, bringing pitchers of water to pour over, cold towels, allowed to lie down on bench outside...anything needed and not asked for anything in return. 2. On 4th of July, the restaurant was closed, but the owners family was there using the patio privately. He was so kind to offer cold ice water and rest on the patio after a long hot ride in 100* heat. We look forward to many more meals there and bringing many more friends in the years to come.

Came here yesterday for the first time and had the shrimp tacos which were so good I came back today and got them again. My brother had the meatloaf and I tried it ..I think it was honestly the best meatloaf I ve had.since I was 8 years old ..Tyler waited on us and he was friendly and had great menu recommendations. Also talked to the manager Mark and he was also super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience and will definitely be back since I live right down the street now!

We had a reservation and showed 5 minutes early. We were seated right away by friendly staff. Drinks were served immediately. The food was ok but not worth the hour and fifteen minute wait. Not the waiters fault, not the bars fault. The kitchen had some kind of issues today Im sure. My eggs benedict had flavor only from the ham involved. My familys chicken and waffles were practically inedible from the toughness of the waffles. My sister described them ad boot leather. We wondered at the long wait for such lack luster food. When we asked for butter (hoping to soften the boot leather waffles) only enough for 1 person was brought despite butter being apart of the advertised waffles on the menu. Hope for better for others who visit.

This arguably the worst run bar restaurant I ve ever been to, lucky for him there s no other bars real close to him or he d be done. There are literally only a couple servers that are really nice but seem to have zero experience which is better than the rest of the staff which is beyond rude and incompetent, just like the owner. There s always a story when you go there, last time the owner dropped a bunch of plates next-door table, he picked up a few of them and walked away and never returned. When he dropped them a bunch of Ketchup had flown on to one of our guest shirt and pants and it was mentioned to the server. Her response was I m sure he ll get over it and walked away. RUN . I don t believe They deserve business of any kind.
