I had no idea this place existed and I am so glad I discovered it. the curators tour is well worth planning for a specific time of day, although I did struggle overheating, standing, and walking on the concrete floor; bring a hand fan, wear comfortable shoes, and dont get two vaccinations on your way there (that one was on me)! the museum is fully accessible, throughout. a guided tour took about an hour, and after I took another walk through and spent another hour and a half admiring the collection. the curator graciously answered question after question, providing insights you would miss otherwise. there are also a few pieces which take a bit more dedication to enjoy: a couple of films, one an hour long, a short cartoon, an auditory experience, and a (passively) interactive work. for this visit, The Eye was clearly the showstopper. meant to invoke the moment man first split atom, the mirrored shards radiate energy from one angle while displaying clear architectural framing from an other. the viewer finds themselves reflected in shattered vestiges of the human they were when they walked into this room. there are stairs going both up and down, reminiscent of MC Escher, complete with rabbit holes tunneling through to the other side. from a distance, the woodwork supports can be sighted peaking from intentional defects made in the mirror, and an abundance of cracks thoughtfully decorates panels throughout. there is also, very subtlety, the form of two pyramids stacked upon each other, the top pointed down, almost to remind one of an hour glass. as the piece fluidly moves with the observer, reflections of the room dancing in and out of line of sight, it is hard to say how much of the sand in this hourglass has fallen. there were so many lovely and moving pieces, which is incredible because they said the exhibit I was seeing was smaller than usual. it was just a feast for my brain, inspired me to create something of my own, and already I cant wait to go back. and its all FREE! make sure to register before so youre not fumbling at the check-in desk, but there is no charge, not even for tours. since its a little out of the way, theres very little traffic and you can get the gallery to yourself (and a watchful guard!). highly, highly recommend checking this one out!

Please note that you must get a reservation to visit this space. It does not cost you anything, but you do need to sign up on the website. Private collections of art are generally unavailable to the public. The exhibitions here are made available to the public free of charge, even offering tours with the curators of the exhibitions. This is a kindness. I have always received experiences of value at this place, for which I feel a great deal of gratitude.

The 2024 spring exhibition is just wild. really awesome art and amazing guide experience but oh my goodness I am just shell shocked. Im never gonna understand what I saw in there. Some of the pieces just make you feel things and are even legitimately frightening. Especially the movie one. I really want to go again on my own though.

Went today during posted hours (website & google), but it was gated. No one answered phone, no voicemail option, and no one responded when I buzzed at the gate.

The art here is so wonderful!! The Warehouse collection is one of the best Ive seen. It is on par with any of the other big museum collections like DMA and MoMA. I had a really good time. Definitely worth any art lovers time.

This museum has a wonderful collection of different mediums, some are interactive and fascinating. The items are well cared for and nicely arranged. It would have been nice to have more info about the artists in the beautiful info book they give out. A very positive experience overall!

always a delight. incredible that important work is available in my own back yard. been going since around 2013-2014 when a class at TWU organized a field trip. always grateful for the self paced tours and especially the guided tours, Caitlin Overtons and Thomas Feulmers passion for the collection is always a joy to listen to.

Modern art that is actually intriguing. Dome places curate art that looks more like it was done only because it could be easily conceived. That was not the case with the topologies rotation at the warehouse when I vitited. Not all the art was exceptional, but several of the pieces had real thought behind it and were visually enjoyable.

It was a interesting trip for my school. I enjoyed the art that we viewed, and the tour guides were pretty nice as well. With each activity/ art piece we learned something new, or was just wowed by the pieces.

Although it is a private museum, if youre ever given the chance to visit the Warehouse, I would strongly recommend it. In my experience, the caretakers of the exhibits were very knowledgeable and made the exhibits even more interesting with information from the creators. Everything was laid out very well and included some truly beautiful pieces, both visually and conceptually. Its really a unique experience.

Awesome experience. As with most modern art, you need the back story to get the symbolism and concept in correct view and appreciation. Very nice and well laid out galleries with expert guided commentary about the artist and the back story for a full appreciation. And its all for free with an appointment.
