Dr. Cortez is amazing. She is such a great advocate for womens health. She listens and empathizes with you so you dont feel like youre going crazy. Menopause is no joke and a huge puzzle for each woman to figure out. To have Dr. Cortez as a resource is a huge blessing.

I called to try to make an appointment due to some pretty scary symptoms which I shared with the lady who answered the phone. Not only did she tell me I couldn t see a doctor until January (5 months out), when I tried to convey how urgent the need was, she pretty much said sorry, you re on your own . For someone terrified about what s going on, this was so disheartening - the lack of accessibility and the lack of care/compassion. I was, honestly, thrown.

I left feeling let down. I wasnt clear what I wanted. Office and staff were not clear either. I left without a single concerned addressed. I did not see a medical professional. I was told to fill out forms for two different visits. The forms are identical to what I filled out before coming in. No one asked me what my concerns were. Just vitals were taken. I have never felt like this by this office. They had taken really good care of me in the past. I dont understand what happened to feel so let down. It hurts after so many years of going and the trust built up over time. I cant go back now.

My husband & I saw Dr. Cortez at Cross Roads Hormonal Health recently. This was probably one of, if not THE best experience either of us has had with a doctor s visit. We were very impressed with the entire staff...to include making our appointments and calling with questions prior to appointments . I thought it was really nice that there was both a men s and a woman s waiting room....although we sat in the men s waiting area for not even five minutes! From the start, the staff was amazing. Check in was quick and easy with very friendly & helpful reception staff. After checking in, we were called back and put in a room in less than five minutes. I can t say enough about the sweet lady who took our vitals. She was SO upbeat and immediately put us at ease! Dr. Cortez came in within minutes and spent plenty of time answering our questions, reviewing our lab results and explaining in detail her treatment recommendations AND explaining to us what those lab results meant. Once our treatments were determined, Dr. Cortez explained everything to us, including what to expect, what follow ups we would require and etc. EVERY SINGLE STAFF member we encountered was very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant! Honestly, we wouldn t go anywhere else for our Hormonal Health/Gynecology Care...& we drove over 300 miles to get there! We will make that trip as after as we need to! This was an absolutely PERFECT experience!

Its impossible to get anyone on the phone. My OBGYN who was managing my PCOS retired and its hard to find someone else who knows about and will help manage this condition. I was highly recommended to Dr. Cortez, but I called three times and I just ended up waiting on hold so long that the line eventually disconnected. I was on hold for a full 45 minutes today. The automated system was saying my call was first in line the whole time, but no one ever answered and then it just hung up. Aside from having the first movement of Beethovens Moonlight Sonata (the chosen hold music) stuck in my head from listening to it 7 times in a row, I am no closer to finding a doctor who can help me manage my condition.

I have been a client there since 2021. I have seen Dr. C once and then began seeing Sarah. If you can get to your appointment, the care is good. However, there has not been a single time where the process is simple or are you treated with respect from the administrative staff. For example, my first appointment with them was when they just moved to the Crossroads location, yet their website and Google address were still listed at the old location. After discovering this, finding the new address, and heading there, the staff were insulting, very unwilling to acknowledge a valid reason for being 15 min late, and tried to cancel the appointment. Every other visit since has been telehealth and the communication with the staff is poor (which is an understatement). In two of the prior appointments, I was not provided a code to log in, and after waiting on hold for 30+ min, they tried to tell me that it was sent and had to prove it was not - with -0- accountability. My most recent appointment, another telehealth appointment, resulted in them abandoning my care completely (which is illegal). Understanding that I needed to be proactive for my code, I called the office and they stated that my appointment needed to be in person - which it was never scheduled for, and stated their policy was to be seen 1x year in person. I have only been there in person in 2021. When asked for a copy of the policy, she (Maria) would say there was not one. When I suggested I could see there was a communication error, she could not acknowledge that and refused to own the fact they scheduled a telehealth appointment and are (at the exact time) demanding an in-person appointment with no notice or ability to show this is part of their routine procedures. If you are ok with being treated with contempt and disrespect by each person you encounter before seeing the provider, then I would recommend seeing with of the providers mentioned above. If you value your time and accountability from your care team, I would seek care elsewhere. And please note - almost all of the reviews that are less than ideal provide the same perspective.

I can t recommend them enough! My first visit was in April 2022, and within the first 3 to 6 months I felt so much better! Everyone is so helpful and they listen to your concerns and symptoms, and if you don t want to take traditional medicine, they help you find natural alternatives! For years, I kept telling my doctors I didn t feel right, and they take bloodwork and simply say everything was normal . This team of medical professionals takes a deeper dive and looks at a wide range of things, and then each three months they see what s gone right and what could be tweaked a bit. A year and a half later I m a changed person. I feel really great and it s all because of them! Women don t need to suffer as they get older when they have people like this in their corner.

I have been coming to this office for almost a year and have never had anything but amazing experiences! Ashlie took my new patient call and explained exactly what to expect from my first visit. Hannah is always there to greet me with a smile when I arrive. When I check out the ladies are always helpful to make sure if I need a returning appointment and are happy to get me scheduled. I have been seeing Ann for my hormone therapy. She is always there to hear how things are going and to give me options as to not make me feel pushed in one direction. She always has my best interest at heart! She loves what she does and it shows. At this appointment I was lucky enough to meet Azar! I received the best facial ever! The younger check-in lady with glasses at the front desk was very friendly, but talking with her was the only positive experience I had here. I scheduled an appointment in April to get labs done to check my hormones and other things. They couldn t get me in till late August, which was fine. I went in for my appointment, and was told I was scheduled for a well-woman exam. As someone with medical anxiety (especially women s health-related), this triggered a panic attack because I wasn t expecting that kind of appointment. After I told them about the mix-up, the friendly facade was dropped. The nurse became very short with me, and the two women who were in the room to do my labs barely said a word to me. I often pass out when I get my blood drawn, and normally I tell the staff, but she started drawing before she even addressed me or spoke to me, so I didn t get the chance to let her know. I went back to discuss my labs a month later, and waited 30 minutes only for a woman to come in and hastily read through my lab results like she was in a rush. She also tried to sell me on hormone treatments even though all of my hormone levels were perfectly fine and I told her I wasn t interested, she still tried to push it and had a condescending tone the entire time. Both of my appointments were very stressful and unpleasant, and I will not be going back. I highly recommend finding a different provider.

After spending an hour and 15 minutes and waiting 3.5 months for an appointment here, they cancelled the appointment. I was originally scheduled 2 days ago and the appointment was rescheduled due to a power outage after driving 40 minutes of the 1 hour drive. I made accommodations with work twice and was still turned away based off of factors I could not control. I would not recommend this place due to the complete and utter disregard of patient s time. Hannah in particular had nothing to say other than try to get here after sitting in traffic on 380 for 30 minutes due to a broken traffic light. Terrible experience.

The first Pap smear I ever had was from CrossRoads. They gave me a yeast infection. My theory is that their tools were not cleaned properly. I have never had a yeast infection before. a few days after leaving the office, I got a really really bad one. Then, when my pregnancy came, I was a high-risk pregnancy. The team was not communicating with each other. They were not communicating with the doctor. And they weren t communicating with me. As a result, I was not receiving the care that I was supposed to receive with a high risk pregnancy. Today I called to get the results of my blood draw. The nurse called me back and advised me that my hormone levels were a little low, and that I needed to start taking progesterone. However, the reason my blood was drawn, was because I had been having symptoms of a misscarriage. She asked me what my previous levels were, and I told her. She did indicate that this confirm that I have had a miscarriage because the numbers don t go down when you re pregnant. I took a moment, I said, OK, and I hung up to cry. I had started crying while we were on the phone. So I know for a fact that she knew why I was crying. The nurse got her feelings hurt and I guess told the doctor so now the doctor will no longer see me. Their customer service really sucks. Like how are you going to stop seeing me because I ended the call to cry after you just told me I was having a miscarriage. No matter how I am feeling, how I m doing, but all the nurse got her feelings hurt, because I lost my baby and needed to cry in peace. But as long as the nurses feelings are okay though, right?

Lol same here I am there patient since Dec but havent heard anything after Dr Cortez put me into medication and you are the one who always follow up. And just today just called and it does really seem like they are in funeral as lime the other person who commented below, not sure if they are just rude or mot happy in their job. I called to request to send me all the lab result done as I wont be able to download on the healow app and that Hemina whatever her name is lifeless and so rude! I cannot say enough good things about this clinic overall, but Elaine really exceeds any healthcare I ve ever received! I saw her for my entire pregnancy and I was so impressed with how professional yet caring and kind she is. She never dismissed my concerns and I feel like she really cares for me and my baby. Her presence in my delivery was so calm and exactly the birth I was hoping for as a fist time mom. I will never forget how much compassion and empathy she showed me when I was really struggling with postpartum anxiety. I am so thankful for the entire staff at crossroads. Dr Cortez found a solution for my thyroid issues that has been dismissed for years by other health care providers. Camille hugged me while I cried explaining my fears as a first time mom. Hannah remembered me by name for every appointment and would check me in without having to ask her to. And Sandy is just the sweetest and really made every ultrasound so special for us. I look forward to continuing my care here for years to come!

The providers are excellent! But I have to give the greatest praise to is Ashley who does I am assuming administrative work and I am sure a great deal more. But she helped me by going above and beyond by making sure my portal issues were fixed that I keep having issues with. She needs a pay raise and a promotion because she makes sure things happen for the patients and that shows. I have never meet a staff member that was not great but she is truly exceptional! I felt like I was living in a fog and could barely peel myself off of the couch for 2 years! I was encouraged...several times...by my awesome co-workers who are patients at Cross Roads. I finally made an appointment, had my labs drawn and met with Elaine and Dr. Cortez. After reviewing my labs, she started me on some supplements and Thyroid meds and within a few weeks I felt so much better. I just had an appointment with Anne Ellison today to review my repeat labs and they look amazing. I still have some work to do with old habits but well get there. Anne was amazing and so encouraging. If you feel how I described myself before I was seen in this clinic, you need to make yourself an appointment.

Staff only cares about numbers, not the actual patient as a person. I attempted to shrug it off after my first appointment, but it was made clear to me at my second appointment that this is how they do business. I waited 90 minutes for a televisit & never reached a provider. 2 hours later, when I finally reached the office manager, I was gaslit ( That didn t happen. ), told that patients were called in one breath but in the next breath was told that they are far too busy to call every no show. Absolutely no accountability was taken for their actions. I, the patient, was blamed for the entire thing. When the office manager started screaming at me (not an exaggeration), I decided that I had enough. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

LOVE THESE LADIES!! I first came to Cross Roads Hormonal Health & Wellness, when i was pregnant with my (NOW 4 yr old son) and they have been the absolute best. They moved locations so i hadnt been back since they changed. They are super caring, very detailed in EVERYTHING they do. For example i had a sono done and Mrs. Sandy was such a sweet and loving lady she made me feel at ease. They all did, i am very thankful my sister in law recommended me to them. They really will go into full detail as to the problems you have, how to prevent them, what side effects may come, or alternatives. As a women i am so happy Dr.Cortez is my OBGYN and Dr. Lee she is one awesome lady!

This was my third time going to this office and again had a great result! I was greeted by an amazing front staff who helped check me in and answer all my questions I had. My second time into the office was to go over my bloodwork. Dr. Cortez was very thorough when going over my results asking me questions and explaining why I was feeling the way I was feeling. We came up with a game plan for next steps and made sure I understood everything. When I was there I saw a sign for a free skin consult. I met with Azar and we went over skin goals and what I should do in the meantime. I went in today for my next round of blood work for Dr. Cortez and met with Azar for my first facial. OH MY GOSH I was blown away with how well Azar worked with me today. Explaining what she was doing and why. I was so relaxed as she was doing all the things to help my skin be rejuvenated! I was so happy with that appointment that I scheduled another facial in 5 weeks! I can t forget Rose who took my blood! She made me feel comfortable as soon as I went in the room. As someone who hates needles and having blood drawn it was painless and easy with her. Overall I have had a great experience with Cross Roads and am happy to continue to go knowing I am in professional and caring hands!

I went in to see Azar for a facial recently on the recommendation of a coworker. Holy *beeep* it was fantastic. So today I had my 2nd visit, and again it was simply phenomenal! No pushy up-sales like at the boutique places, but the room has the same calming vibe as any of the best day spas in Frisco. And bonus: all the products used are clinical grade. Whats even more impressive is Azars professionalism, knowledge, and genuine desire to help her patients improve their skin. This woman knows what she is doing! After todays visit and talking with her about my skin game plan for the year, I will be making the small trek out to Cross Roads from Frisco every 4 weeks to see Azar. Yes, it is absolutely worth it!

I went here hoping to find a helpful gynecologist but I was treated like I did not matter? I never received my prescription and my appointment was last week. I gave a urine sample and never got a call back about my prescription, nor my urine. I did not have a great experience at all. I had to schedule an appointment with CVS and was prescribed what I needed instantly. I wasted my time and left work early just for a blank trip! Truly frustrating. The lady at the front desk was super nice but that was about it.

Such a great experience! The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, eager to answer questions, and make check-in very easy. Dr. Cortez is energetic, thorough, empathetic, and knowledgable. Rather than a doctor telling me what to do, it was a conversation and decisions were made together. She answered all my questions, accepted my input, and it felt like a collaboration. I went in for a facial with Azar today. It was AMAZING! I loved Everything about it. It was super fun and relaxing. Her space is quiet, comfortable and private. I was made to feel very comfortable and everything was clearly explained. Azar plays very relaxing music and has a soothing, pleasant voice. I had the worst experience here. My first time ever going to an OBGYN. Process was rushed, not explained and procedure was very painful. I was clearly in pain and they did nothing to help me calm down. The doctors also made me feel stupid for even being there and acting like my feelings were invalid. OMG. I am a 40 year old man that has never had a facial. I never knew men got facials until overhearing my male coworkers talk about how incredible they are. They told me that Crossroads Health gives men facials so I decided to give it a shot and I m glad I did because it was an hour of pure bliss. It was extremely relaxing because the lights were down low, music was tranquil and the face creams smelled incredible. It was nice to lay down and relax on my back the whole time. I fell asleep twice during the face and neck massaging. Now I know why women do this so frequently. I will definitely be back the next time I get a day off. Thank you Azar for this incredible experience.

Dont expect much. They didnt write all the prescriptions they were supposed to, so I contacted them weeks later through the portal, as they requested. This was on 02/08 and they claim youll get a response within 24 hours. On 02/14, when I still hadnt heard back, I called and was told, Ill give a priority message to the nurse and shell reach out to you ASAP. On 02/21, when I STILL hadnt heard back, I called yet again and, you guessed it...was told once again that a message would be given to the nurse and Id hear back by the end of the day. I know the next bit if news will shock you, but its the afternoon of 02/22 and still no contact from them. Avoid this place.

First Dr. Cortez is awesome! She has seen my mom, sister, and myself for roughly 24 years. Frankly, I hope she sees this review because I don t think she s aware of the customer service being given from the frontlines. After several major issues with this front office, I have been debating finding a different doctor. So I already went to this appointment walking on egg shells, while also hoping to have a better experience. I took off an hour and a half from work to make the appointment. Waited on hold for an hour and a half to ask a question morning of, just for it to not be answered. I had trouble finding the new location, so yes was about 10 mins late (also hoped they would call as I was too busy trying to get there to dig up the number and call myself, plus I know how calling them goes anyways). Got checked in less than 15mins later than my appointment, to be told I was a no call no show at 10 mins past- which was not written anywhere, I checked. I wish that was the best part. They tried to reschedule, and I was desperately trying to keep my appointment while being discrete to the lobby. After they denied, I told them I would not be returning regardless of being a lifelong patient. I went out to my car to find another way to get the medicine I am needing, and realized I only need one test. One test for something I was able to diagnose myself via a pocket microscope. I walk back in and tell them my medical confidentiality (with lobby behind me) to get in same day. They were then able to squeeze me in an hour later, to which I receive an email with the new time. Watching other patients still waiting past 10 mins, I find myself waiting 32 mins after the new scheduled appointment. So instead, I ask if the test can just be sent to the lab. Forget the visit but no, the additional smear (that may or may not show enough to be officially diagnosed) has to be taken by the provider (who may or may not be able to diagnose me) before sending urine to the lab. Even though, THEY were a no call no show 30min a after their scheduled time. Impressive truly, impressive. Unfortunately, and seriously guys I am in tears and terrified over the fact I will have to find a new doctor. I only trust Dr. Cortez and have no idea how I m gonna start a new search, but will not be returning. Also, missed two hours of pay just to not be treated.

Dr. Cortez is a nice doctor with good intentions however I have now been left without medications twice for weeks because of the mediocre way they do business. It is hard to get a hold to, I wait almost an hour for someone to answer and on the portal I can hardly get anybody to answer. On the portal, the questions are not being answered and Ive been left hanging. It has taken many more calls, many more messages and the worse, having to book another appointment with the doctor on the same month just to ask a question.

Unfortunately the most frustrating part of this office is the wait times and the poor communication from office staff. I scheduled my one hour glucose test and a follow-up ultrasound at my last appointment but received a voicemail that I am needing to reschedule. I have now been on hold for over 50 minutes and still no answer. I dont mind having to change the appointment, but it shouldnt take this long to get through to the office. I actually just got disconnected after 50 minutes of waiting. Beyond annoyed. This isnt the first time we had an issue with scheduling.
