Went 2day for Mr. Bill Willson 75th heavenly birthday. He loved this place, it was comforting to him, he loved the friendly staff, food, and the environment was good for him to get in and out of with his rollator. 2day I had one of his favorite meals, Chicken Fried Steak, loaded mash tatters, and green beans. With a Dr. Pepper of course! . Definitely be back!!

We had a birthday celebration dinner for a party of 16. Half of the the guests dinner was, either under cooked, over cooked the wrong order or did not get their sides. There were other guest at the restaurant that were complaining about their food orders as well; and sending back their food. I have been to Ol Steakhouse several times, and their food has always been very delicious and very well prepared. Im not sure what happened on this particular night. Maybe they have a new cook....not sure. I do have to mention, our waiter Brayden was very professional and attentive. I like this restaurant and I will go back....well just give it some time before going back. Hopefully they will fix the issue of what happened that day.

Chicken fried steak was good, the 21 oz steak was about 20% fat the rest beef..and it was cooked medium rare in the center and edges of steak were well done. We were there close to 2 hours and most of the time was spent waiting on our food. Our waitress was nice however the restaurant does not look or feel welcoming. First and last time here.

Friendly welcome. Our group was brought to a table on the left, living room area. Service was fast and dinner orders were tastefully prepared. Dessert was quite large, carrot cake, cheesecake and chocolate cake with ice cream were all able to create a place in our stomachs, really tasty. (We thought the concept was similar to Niko, but here at OI the indoor climate is not so fresh, so it is better) Parking: Private parking and otherwise on the other side of the road

Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The appetizer bread was soft, warm, and simply delightful, making the short wait for our meals even more enjoyable. When our food arrived, it exceeded our expectations in both presentation and taste. I had a disappointing experience while placing a Togo order with Lucia. She was extremely rude. Being in the customer service industry myself, I have patience and am very understanding. It was myself and 1 other party that she was waiting on. I witnessed her giving the other party great service. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience. Once I got into my vehicle, I found several fork hole punctures in one of my containers. Ended up throwing the meal away as that didnt look enticing.

We sat down for 20 minutes and 4 steaks had been returned for being overcooked. The waitress said that the cook is inconsistent and everyday it happens where they have to return a steak for not being cooked properly and it s become embarrassing . The medium rare steak I got was well done no pink or red at all and the next cooked steak was very rare almost blue.

Its a popular place, so Itll take a bit to get seated, but when youre at your table, the spectacular service makes up for all the time you waited. The Rib eye steak here is nothing short of amazing! There are a few different options, too, so you have nice choices of preparation and presentation. We had a very nice dinner here, and we were very well taken care of by our outstanding server. The ambiance was also quite nice. Well very likely return when were back in town.

So, weve been Nikos multiple times, definitely enjoy it there. From my understanding, this is a sister restaurant to Nikos. With that aside, it was high probability we would enjoy it, and it did not, both in food and service. Black and Blue Ribeye was spot on, as well as the Ol Ribeye. Minor differences between the two menus, so definitely try both places.

Food wasnt good I got the NY strip it was tough and grizzly. Daughter got the kids chicken strips she could not eat the because they were tough and dry she tried smothering it in gravy but still could not eat it. Wife got the grilled salmon she was happy with it. Service was great told waitress about daughters chicken and she kindly removed it from our ticket. I ate my steak but wasnt happy with it. I would ve given 5 stars but as I was leaving one of the bus person asked the manager Scott if he could have a minute of his time to talk to him. Very snarkly he replied no I m busy and walked away. Left the bus person just standing there embarrassed. In front of customers! Less than 2 minutes later Scott comes from the back leans on the counter by the cooks and puts a toothpick in his mouth. From my stand point he blew off the bus person as if he didn t like him. Very unprofessional. I m disappointed to know people could treat others like that.

Beware of this place nighttime manager highly unprofessional in front of customers!!! My husband and I went here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and whoever the manager on duty was last night was unprofessional by not taking a former employee in the back to tell her that she was being let go for whatever reason and between one host the server and manager were all going back and forth at the hostess stand arguing in front of the whole restaurant and the manager even afterwards was just sitting around talking to the cooks not interacting with customers and didn t even help a server out when a dish was dropped he stood there and told him what to do shame on nighttime management for lack of professionalism and not the having decency to take a employee to the back to tell them they were being sent home and having the whole restaurant listen to it! And food wasn t even that good overall the steak tasted like a charcoal burger and the mash potatoes were practically liquid would give this place zero stars if I could!

My son wanted to eat a steak (a delicious, tender, juicy, tasty steak) for his 15th birthday, and there is no where else I wouldve taken him! We had a party of 20, and due to Covid-19, large parties could not be sat together, but we were accommodated and sat close enough to still have conversation. Cory did an amazing job serving us! He repeated all the specials, refilled our drinks even before we knew we were needing more, brought out the cake, was friendly, prompt, and courteous. The steaks were perfect (and Ive eaten steaks recently at many other steakhouses in the area). We love Ol Steakhouse! Please, please dont waste your money eating a steak somewhere else. Now, in June 2022, I had an even MORE DELICIOUS steak!!! Yum! October 2022-brought friends to eat here who were visiting from Houston, and they LOVED IT!!! Black and blue steak, salmon, chips and queso, the rolls, everything was perfect! We always do birthdays here now because everyone is satisfied with their meal. Dads birthday, 2021, moms birthday, 2023, and more to come! Moms birthday, 2024! Same great food and great service! Oh, and they have drink specials, Fridays are Jack Day and Saturdays are Crown Day!

The Ol Steakhouse is like an old friend, reliable, consistent, and great to visit. Plenty of seating in large space, even during lunch rush. Lucy was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was home style, flavorful (not like a mass produced microwave factory) and large portions. Extensive menu but the lunch special is a screaming good deal, hot, fresh and fast. Enjoyed a great steak dinner (not pictured, sirloin, mashed potatoes and cesar salad). I saw the chicken cordon bleu poppers online and thought about them for 2 days before finally being able to swing by and try them! Our server was wonderful! I will definitely be back!

Everything here was fantastic. The food, the service, the seating. There were lots of tables, and we didnt have to wait long to be seated. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Not a ton of parking, but we found a spot out front. We ordered cordon Bleu poppers for an appetizer and they were so good. Ill be thinking about those for awhile. I ordered the mesquite porkchop, loaded mashed potatoes, and house salad. The salad and potatoes were great, the pork chop was a bit too mesquite for me but others in my party thought it was delicious. Another person ordered the trail quail and asparagus and said it was exquisite.

Order the 6oz loin steak asked for medium and they over cooked my steak and the asparagus is over cooked also the stufffed mushrooms are made with fake crab. Steak on the right was medium rare cooked perfectly but the one on the left was over cooked and asparagus was over cooked again

The food is great and so are the drinks! I highly recommend the Honey-Dijon chicken it has applewood bacon, sautéed mushrooms honey mustard sauce and cheese. I order with rice pilaf, and salad. The service is excellent!

I didn t want to write a review but honestly it was disappointing.. baked potato was old when brought out, quail was super salty and warm not hot or cold. Hostess seemed rushed to sit us? Odd smell in building? I should ve gotten steak at a steak restaurant but trying something different never felt so disappointing. Not sure if I would come back. Probably doesn t matter to them but hope others find this a bit useful.

The decor and aesthetic could use some updating; the color scheme reminds me of the 1970s. Perhaps thats the goal, though. Whatever the reason, that slight critique is far outweighed by the excellent food at reasonable prices. The sirloin steak I had was fully infused with mesquite flavoring that was really REALLY good. The service was outstanding as well. If youre wanting a good steak dinner in Corpus, this is a great choice!

Took my husband out for his birthday dinner, we had to wait 20 minutes to get seated since they dont accept reservations. Drinks were served fast, salad served before the appetizer. I ordered quail and the waiter said it was great but didnt enjoy it. I also kept reminding him that it was my husbands birthday and requested the birthday desert but nothing, then ordered the creme brulee. After 10 minutes the waiter returns to say they dont have it. Then ordered chocolate cake which was also a disappointment. Seemed like it was just from the counter and was kinda dry. We did not finish it and left some on the plate. Did not bother with a to go box. I was disappointed after reading and being told its a nice romantic place. Felt downplayed on the whole thing and it was also pricey. Gave a 3 because my husband liked his steak.

This has always been my favorite steakhouse, but today s service was just bad. We went for lunch and right off the waitress took a long time to get to us, even though we were the only ones in her section. When food arrived, she didn t ask if our steaks were cooked to our order ( they weren t) she didn t bring or ask if I wanted tartar sauce for my shrimp or steak sauce for my steak. She never brought my fries, never refilled our drinks. Over all was rude when I said I was displeased with everything. My food was cold by the time she returned to table. I ended up not eating any of it.

WOW!!! What a fabulous dinner this afternoon at Ol Steakhouse Co. Our server Lucy was top-notch, and my ribeye steak cooked by Chef Booker was exceptional - med rare, thick, juicy, and fork-tender. My hubby s fried fish (Haddock) was prepared perfectly, as well flaky and moist with a delicious and flavorful crusted outside and yummy freshly made hush puppies. Service took way too long. Arrived at 6:15, seated at 7:30, ordered at 7:45, got food at 8:10. Steak was good - can tell its grilled over something other than an electric/gas stove. Baked potato was cooked and seasoned right and isnt wrapped in aluminum foil.
