Awful experience! Ive spent hours correcting his paralegals work, and then Im still charged for her horrible work and all the follow ups I have to do since they never get back to me! Steve never seems to know whats going on in my case and I have to remind him of important details several times when were prepping for trial, as he never seems to take note of it. Dont waste your time with this office.

This is my After Action Review (AAR) regarding my trial with The Law Office of Steve Lopez in my corner. Situation: ex wife was giving my daughter psych drug. I called the Law office of Steve Lopez for guidance and counsel. He was straight forward in the beginning. He did not sugar coat anything. He told me what to expect and what to do moving forward. When I hired Steve as my counsel, Alexis was assigned to my case and she did not waste any time getting stuff done. She worked on the TRO in less than 2 days and was signed by the judge right away. Hearing: Steve was on time and drove all the way from Corpus Christi to Killeen. He was honest about the possible outcome. Told me the best case scenario and the worst case scenario. He prepared me to take the stand and helped me focus on the important things that needs to be discussed. During the cross examination, he made the other party look weak on their defense. He asked the right questions on the right time. He made sure that all his punches count (all of it are knock out punch). The whole court room was move by his closing argument. The words that came out of his mouth was like a gut punch to the other party. Conclusion: I am more than satisfied. If you are looking for someone to fight for you; Steve is the man! His associates are amazing, smart, and quick to react. He is honest and he will work with you. Based on my experience, our trial went smooth because he has everything lined up to present the court. I definitely recommend The Law office of Steve Lopez specially to my fellow service members. Being in the service does not make you less of a father because I know the stigma and I know how it feels when the country calls you when you are needed. Steve has represented me twice now and I will not use any other lawyer. From the beginning, Steve was transparent and upfront which is one of the best things about him. I am stationed overseas and both Steve and his staff were very helpful and understanding about the 13 hour time difference. Property dispute tied with child support made this case take over a year and had it not been for Steve pressuring the opposing counsel, I believe it would have taken 2-3 times as long. Steve knocked it out of the park and helped me win my case with ease. I am often thanked for my service but it is people like Steve and his staff that deserve such praise for fighting for his clients each and every single day. Where do I start! He is hands down the best family Attorney in this area. He was professional, knowledgeable, curtious, and when he says he s going to do something it s done on or before the date he told you! I was in the middle of a high conflict case and he was my third attorney who had been recommended by another attorney I had spoken to. He literally had 4 months to go over 5 years worth of documents. He saw the flaws, he made the changes, requested the right information and made things happen. He was upfront from the beginning and throughout the process. He was always polite and understood how I felt about certain situations and never made me feel bad for feeling a certain way. He and his staff explain everything from what is needed or suggested for your case to keeping you informed on where your money is going. Anytime I had a question, I would send an email and within hours I would get a response unless it was after hours and I would hear from someone first thing the next morning. I feel that he and his staff are truly dedicated to their work. 10/10 highly recommend. Thank you Steve and everyone in your staff that helped during my case.

UPDATE ON REVIEW: Mr. Lopez Saved my Step Daughters LIFE!!!! Shortly after our first review we had to retain him again for the mother being in Contempt, Alienating the child, not following the court order among some other serious things that I am not going to disclose. Well it was a LONG process that was draining mentally, physically and financially HOWEVER Mr. Lopez and his staff dealt with our snappy ness, our frustrations and made sure that we understood the process while it is lengthy this is how things goes and helped us get through it day by day and I know me nor my husband can be the easiest to deal with sometimes and they handled us very well lol. I would like to say this ended in a way we never in a million years thought it would, we hoped and prayed for this outcome but we just knew we where giving our hopes up. RESULT: The father has primary custody and the child was immidiately given custody to move her across the country to Florida from Texas. Guys this is a HUGE victory in any court system and Mr. Lopez and his staff deserves the credit for this. Mr. Lopez is like family now, HE SAVED A CHILDS LIFE with this case and he deserves all the blessings in life he can get. This man is a blessing to our family and only wish I could refer more people to him if he was in Florida. We have needed him on and off for 3 years due to lack of respect of following court orders by the other parent and I never felt like Mr. Lopez was anything but honest and genuine with us. Our Family HIGHLY Recommends him and is beyond thankful for him! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Mr Lopez is an amazing human being!!! Mr Lopez in the past when he was working at his fathers firm was an exellent attorney. He has since moved to his own firm and has become almost useless as an attorney like he was before. After updating my address with his office, the AG, the respondents attorney, and the courts they mailed out letters to my previous address in another city. then failed to respond to emails questioning it. Drop me a week before court, but i have still paid the full price that he agreed to in our initial contract. There is very little communication from his office i have had to call repeatedly to get answers and even then mr lopez calls me on his way home with very little answers. He appears spineless in a courtroom setting and will not object to lies from the other attorney when we just had the conversation and he had been updated completely on everything involved and the lengths i was going through to allow visits with my zons junkie mother. I would not recomend Steve lopez as a family attorney as he will just back down and not fight for what you paid him to do

Steve is the best family law attorney in Corpus Christi!! I highly recommend utilizing his services. He knows the law and will always fight for you!! No matter how hard our custody battle got, he never gave up on our case. When we felt defeated because all odds were against us (living in another country & COVID) Steve always reassured us that he was going to do everything he could to win our case. We had a very difficult custody battle that lasted 9 months and we WON!!! He was the only attorney who was willing to take on our case for my stepson and got us a court date as quickly as possible before we moved to Japan for military duties. He is very fair in his pricing and will not over charge you. He lets you know what you are paying for before he charges and runs everything by you before he makes decisions. He always kept in contact with us and even called while he was on vacation or off of work. He is very professional and smart in the court room. He is an aggressive attorney that can get the opposing party quiet real quick!! His staff was always helpful and emailed us a courtesy copy of all the documents that were being drafted. We always knew what was going on in our case and we put all of our trust in Steve and his staff which ultimately led to my husband receiving custody of my stepson after 6 years of dealing with parental alienation. He is worth every single dollar you pay him!!! He will always be our attorney if we ever need him in the future and we will always recommend him to others who are looking for a lawyer! Do not! Charged me a $2000 retainer when I hired him for a property damage dispute. Tenants demolished my rental property. The tenants BEAT HIM and I got nothing for the $20,000 in damages inflicted to my home. Plus, I was out another $2000 to Steve Lopez.
