Went to pickup an order that had a 15-20 minute wait time and arrived a few minutes after. Was told To wait a few minutes more. Waited 15 minutes before asking another employee and my food had been ready already getting cold . They didn t apologize at all.

This place is great for people who are under the influence and have the munchies and don t know what they are paying because all they want is food. I came in yesterday family of 3 and our bill was $50 dollars!! That s insane! I could have ate at an actual restaurant that has A/c and got better quality food and service. This is the only place that I am aware of that charges separate to have a drink and side! Which was 4 dollars and some change extra! One person alone was 18 bucks! The fat Cow had so much sauce you couldn t even taste anything else! I won t be back! I really wanted to try this place but with how expensive, hot along with food quality isn t a win for me.

I walked in around 8pm. It was around $16 for a burger and fries with no drink. I felt pretty bad for not tipping, but thats a little pricey compared to other places so I didnt really plan on coming back. I woke up at 3 in the morning with symptoms of food poisoning. Could be a crazy coincidence... but Im not going back.

Fat shack rules . I m new to San Marcos and I eat here every week . Came from Austin and these burgers are better than anything I ve had there . Half price wing nite is superb , bbq wings are delicious . The owner is super cool and nice . Highly recommended. Burgers are the best ever ! Generous helping of french fries that are really good and cooked hot and fresh . Eating onion rings now and they are awesome . The classic is my favorite , two Pattie s and it s really good angus beef . AlwYs hot and made to order . Great staff !!! My favorite San Marcos restaurant, as well as omg seafood .fat shack rules !!!!!

I m so hurt that I wasted 21 dollars on some stale fries and wings that s smaller than my pinky. The food is not worth the prices at all. The fries had to have came out the fridge or was sitting out all day cuz it wasn t even hot and was hard to chew. I ve gotten their wings before and don t remember them being this tiny. 15 dollars for some bones and tiny pieces of meat . Like ugh so upset I was so hungry too. Thanks a lot Fat shack :(

Wow! This sandwich shop offers a creative twist on classic, hot, Italian sandwiches. They also offer deep fried specialties like Oreos and funnel cakes. Everything we tried was phenomenal. I especially recommend the traditional wings. They are crispy, spicy, and delicious - just like you d find in Buffalo, NY. I m going back ASAP. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.

Ordered late night burgers via Uber Eats. We did the 2 for 1 single burger special because truth be told we were broke, tired and hungry plus I wanted to make sure our deliver person got a good tip off us since we ordered around midnight. I think the food was over priced for the quality. The restaurant was not especially clean and there was no sweet tea. Evidently this is common for San Marcos. The staff were not unkind, just a mediocre food quality. If you dont cook often or youre accustomed to frozen food instead of fresh food, it probably is fine. If you do know how to cook, it fits the bill of food quantity. You definitely wont leave hungry. The quantity is good. Parking: This was a good spot for parking compared with the rest of the eatery parking options I saw. It was free and there wasnt much of a crowd because evidently the primary clientele would eat much later in the day.

My husband, our son, four of our grandchildren and I ordered Fat Shack burgers, wings, sandwiches, and shakes through Door Dash, late-night after a seven hour drive to San Marcos. I gave full marks for service and atmosphere, because taking away stars wouldnt be fair. We were in the area and saw the name of this place and had to give it a try. This is a very small place with only 3 tables to eat inside the store. If you have a big party I would suggest takeout. I ordered a burger, my spouse ordered the Philly, and we shared an order of onion rings. My spouse loved the Philly! I have to say I was disappointed in the burger. It was overcooked and had absolutely no flavor. The onion rings were good, but not good enough for me to make a special trip for them. After hearing high reviews about this place I drove from San antonio to try it out. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. We got 2 different sandwiches with fries, an order of fried pickles, and 2 drinks. At this point I was already thrown off that it was 50 dollars. The sandwiches were lacking any flavor, the Philly meat was extremely dry, and they try and make the sandwiches bigger by putting a boat load of fries on it making the side of fries pointless. The fries pickles were the only thing with decent flavor. The staff were very kind and helpful with the menu.

I went in for the 1st time and ordered a double meat w/cheese And fries, no cup drink because ice cube was broken so I bought a regular coke. It took about 10 mins, but got home split it with my hubby and Ill yell you this was the best hamburger and fries Ive had in a long time. Use to live in Austin and bought my burgers at Short Stop or Dans they have the best and Sandys. So if you take a trip over there stop in one of these. But this place Fwt is the best here by far. WOW. just tried it today for their half price wings on sunday. I like to think I can grill a good burger but the Angus burgers here put mine to shame. I think its the way they grill the buns.... so much flavor and just the perfect amount of crunch. The large sandwiches always wind up being leftovers in our family but even so they taste amazing reheated. And I would be remiss if I didnt mention how good their milkshakes taste with such a filling and tasty meal. Its obvious the dining area isnt meant for crowds - I think most business is take-out - but its still decent seating and not too loud. I was a little surprised they dont take cash but who doesnt have a stack of cards? All in all, meals for us here have been fast, tasty, memorable, and a good value.

it was already 830pm on a Sunday and we we needed to satisfy this relentless MFing fury of a craving for burgers. All the burger joints were closing at 9. What to do? Look for options outside ATX. Yelp found us this joint in San Marcos and so glad we went. We got there a little after 9 and the place was busy as it could be. We placed our order of single burgers (they have double and triples) and they came out pretty quick. Our burgers couldnt be any better. We were craving old school, simple burgers and Fat Burgers got em. When I say they were perfect, I mean the fresh patties came with a crust on each side, well seasoned with salt and pepper, squeezed in between two brioche buns, lettuce, tomato, mustard and pickles. How is that not perfection? We also ordered some onion rings. The rings themselves seemed they were dipped into a beer better as it was super light. Whatever their dipping sauce, it was super good: creamy, ranchy and spicy. As we were finishing our meal, we decided to get some churros. Instead of getting up, we just ordered online and by the time we finished eating, VOILA, our churros were ready. We asked for them dusted with powder sugar and a chocolate dipping sauce. Dont miss this checking out this place! Kinda hidden but worth the drive south! Ohhh and check out their other creations - make sure you go hungry!

I love fat shack! I ve seen people comment about the service while taking orders sometimes takes a while, but there s a kiosk type thing on the counter as well to order which I normally do and my food gets to me fast! I m giving it 4 starts due to the fact that I get the fat veggie, seeing as I m a vegetarian, and they put chicken strips on it once. BUT I will always go back. So many good experiences trump one bad experience.

Amazing food, thats always fresh and hot. The deep fried stuff is terrific. Only reason why Im not going the full five stars is because service is sometimes slow, even when its dead, but other than that- some of the best late night food youll have! :)

Waited 30 minutes for a Philly cheesesteak, milkshake and mozzarella sticks. It wasn t until I went up to the counter that I heard a worker tell his co-worker hey can you wrap that Philly meaning it was just sitting there. Tried to give me my order incomplete, and I had to show him the receipt to show I paid for the mozzarella sticks as well. Overheard him tell a customer don t get the burger, we have like 30 burgers made . If it s late at night and you want to spend $30 and wait half and hour, you ll have better luck at whataburger.

Disappointed they havent updated their hours. Pulled up at 8:24pm on a Friday night and the lights were off and the employees were just leaving. Although their hours listed on Google states they stay open until 2am.

Great spot if your hungry and wanting a lot of grease after a night of drinking I guess??? Something about having everything on the bun with sauce and grease it just doesn t sit right. Bun is overly soggy and not appealing. Decor inside is not that great and needs to be updated and needs a really good cleaning for sure hate to see what the kitchen looks like!

I first saw Fat Shack on Shark Tank & then I realized I had one in the new town I moved to! Wow! We have ordered delivery from Fat Shack 3 times already & everytime, we d try a new item! I ve had the Fat Doobie, Fat Jersey, and today I tried their double cheeseburger! I have not been disappointed even once with this restaurant! Quality food, delicious, fast delivery, and overall great, unique food! 5/5

When I walked in the cashier coughed directly on his hands and wiped it off on his beard. They ve gotten my order wrong 90% of the time. Don t order wings unless you wanted to wait 2 hours for cough hands to put some sauce on them. Had to get a refund due to the staff not being able to tell the difference between their rear end and a hole in the ground.

If you want calorie loaded food you could go here for their special fried options. Otherwise, you could go to an equivalent restaurant for the less and load the fries, tots, cheese sticks or whatever else you get into your sandwich yourself. It was its own experience, but I see it as being a bit more expensive than the alternative to be worth it. Perhaps if they tried to get more flavors to pop from their sandwiches to make the experience better, then maybe.
