This place is the best hamburger joint in Corpus and out beats any other fast food restaurant. The service is amazing and excellent! The food is made with heart by Mike and his crew that is why I recommend it to everyone. Josie and Delores are so wonderful they always get my order right!!!!

I always go to this place and rarely have problems. Usually its something minor which I know happens. Today 7/29/24 I called my order in showed up on time before it was ready in the drive thru. I was watching them as they were bagging orders etc. One of the workers bagged up an order and put it on the counter. There was one car infront of me which was waiting for their order. A customer walked in and the employee who put the order that was bagged and ready on the counter takes the order from the walk in customer. Me thinking I hope thats not my order waiting on the counter. Finally after about 7 minutes the car infront gets his order and I was able to drive up to the drive thru window. They female employee immediately hands me my bagged order. I couldnt see the counter to tell if it was the order on the counter but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of how many times Ive been then and gotten great food. Well wouldnt you know it I get home and the paper bags are soaking wet which tells me that was my order on the counter. I ordered a Dixie cheeseburger meal half onion rings and fries, anregular hamburger wth mustard no cheese with onion rings and an order of three crispy tacos. Instead of a dixie burger they gave me the small cheeseburger half fries half onion rings that were wilted and cold. The regular hamburger had mayo not mustard and fries that were cold. The tacos were so soggy they had fallen apart and cold. I called to ask for the manager and a female employee was insistent that she could help me. So I told her that I saw them put my bagged order on the counter and it left it there instead of bringing it out to me when it was ready. And I was extremely angry that they gave me the order knowing it was ok the counter with tacos knowing they woule get soggy. The employee stated she can replace the order which I explained to her that its already 730pm by the time I get there and back home it will be past 8pm. So I asked for a refund. The employee named Spring said that I would have to go back to get the refund. which i explained to her I had already driven over there to get my food then was having to go back to get my money back because of how they decided to ignore my order on the counter then just pass off the order knowing it was going to be cold and the order wasnt even right. She then passed the phone to someone she said was in charge . So I told her I wanted a refund which she explained the same thing. Which I also explained to her the time and gas I already spent to initially get my meal. She asked for the order name and when I told her she said oh yeah we messed up on the order sorry but if you bring it back well make it fresh or refund your money. Which I was extremely irate to know that the both employees working knew my order was sitting on the counter the whole time I was there but decided to give me a cold order anyway thinking that was ok and then come to find out the order was wrong. Both seemed to act like it was no big deal. I asked the second employee if she would eat food that she paid for that was cold from being ignored on the counter? She said no. I just do not understand how they could just let food sit there then pass off the cold food to a paying customer. I can understand if i got there late and the food was already there. If the money came out of theit pocket Im more than sure they would be just as angry. Look at these horrible tacos. They wouldnt eat food like that. The employee clearly said she wouldnt want cold food.

was in Corpus Christi for a short visit and Googled the best place for a hamburger with crinkle fries. Snapka s Drive Inn came up at the top of the list, and it was a great recommendation. The burger was delicious, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The service was also excellent. The layout of the parking lot was a bit confusing, especially driving through a covered carport area to get to the drive-through, but it didn t detract from the overall experience. All in all, five stars!

It has been a while since I last visited Snapkas. I am not sure if they are under new ownership/management or have a new cook, but something is very different. The onion rings were not fully cooked through, the onion was still crunchy inside, and the burger was not as good as I remembered. I may give it another whirl but not anytime soon.

First went there fifty three years ago. So disappointed the last three visits. This last time took my youngest grandsons who had never been there, and some friends. Dropped almost a hundred dollars. I am glad they have let people back in , even though it is just a few tables scrunched together. I ordered what I always loved , the steak finger basket with onion rings. The steak fingers were limp ,they were cooked ,but the breading was sad , not crisp at all , could have been better out of my freezer. The onion rings were hot and not too greasy , so check. The Cole Slaw was good. Although it could have had a little more sauce , it was almost dry cabbage. The girl was very busy , but after food was delivered , we did not see her again , so there were no refills of drinks. There are too many places to choose from ,so there is no need to return for what used to be good.

First time I went it wasn t busy. Ordered their recommendations (tacos, onion rings and chocolate shake). Chicken tacos were dry, beef tacos were phenomenal, and onion rings were amazing! Went back, busier time, for beef tacos and onion rings. Food took a noticeable decline. 3rd time, also busier, beef tacos had barely anything inside the shell and onion rings were barely battered AND undercooked. They just can t hang during busier, higher demand.

First, I ordered the fish and shrimp platter, but they forgot the shrimp. When I told the young lady, she proceeded to tell me shes not sure what they would do about it. She went and asked the man cook and he said he put the shrimp but wasnt sure where. Ummm okay. Well it wasnt in my order. She then said all they could do is make me the 3 piece shrimp that was left out, but it was going to be a long wait. I asked her how long will the wait be because I already waited 30-45 mins for my food originally. She then stated, she wasnt sure but they had several orders ahead of me. Never again. We come to Snapks all the time and the food is alway great and so is the service. Today was different, my husband and I ordered to burger baskets and my daughter had chili cheese fries plus two drinks. Price came out to almost $30. When I opened the bag I noticed it was just two burgers and the chili cheese fires. Tried to get the car hop back but she wasn t paying attention because there was a bunch of her friends in the restaurant so my husband got down and told her we ordered fries with the burgers. They brought us fresh fries but the car hop was rude about it. She didn t offer an apology or even bring us salt, pepper or ketchup.

We do the drive thru when going for the Dixie burgers. Wonderful old fashioned hamburgers cooked to order. Fast and friendly service, always a plus. Dont forget to get a milk shake and fries! Parking: This is an old fashion drive-in or inside eating type place. Car hops will take your order and deliver or you can eat inside, but it is a small place. Weve eaten inside and its very clean. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or steps if u want to go inside to eat, but why bother.

Finally!! A burger that takes me back in time! I pulled up and parked around 8:30pm, and although it was close to closing time, they were happy to take my order. I got 2 Dixie burgers with cheese and Im so glad I did! Yummy yummy !! Being that this was my first visit, I wasnt sure on getting the fries or the onion rings. The food is excellent and the waitstaff is beyond wonderful. Everything is always hot and fresh and a great price. We had the seafood platter and everything was delicious always get the half and half. Fries and onion rings.

Nothing special about this place. The onion rings were recommended to us and when we got them they were not hot at all and tasted spoiled and hard like they been sitting there all day. Also the chili cheese fries were very sloppy and over piled. Will not return.

Last time I went a few months ago, the girl working at that time was at the window literally vaping while waiting to give me my food in the drive thru..while we have pandemic. I wont go again. No common sense whatsoever

Oh dear. I went there the other day and I ordered the shrimp basket and a tea. The shrimp tasted like fried cardboard and there was this little container of what Im going to assume was supposed to be coleslaw. I didnt try it because it looked so disgusting. And it smelled rancid. You know that smell of a wet towel that dries all wadded up, it smells mildewy? That the smell of that coleslaw. This is one of those staples to those of us who grew up here and its so disappointing nowadays. I do not believe I will ever eat there again.
