Great service! Wait time can be very hit or miss. The coffee is great, along with the warm muffins served right when you sit down. My favorite dish is the chicken and waffles. The chicken has a very good seasoning to them. My coffee and drinks are always refilled once they get low. The place is not big, but it still makes it one of the best breakfast joints in Corpus Christi. Speaking of small spaces....this is a good spot for families. But if your family member has a wheelchair it could possibly be a bit of trouble. Especially the bathrooms. There is only one full bathroom stall. One male and one female. It is a small area to get through.

A popular local spot! We stop here anytime we re in the area. It s almost always busy, but the service is great and worth the wait. Classic small-town, family-owned diner that is decorated with old memorabilia including the iconic train that goes around the inside. Breakfast served all day, daily specials, extensive menu includes Mexican and seafood options too, open for breakfast and lunch. And how could I forget the complimentary blueberry muffins they bring to your table!

The food was fantastic, really there are OTHER places that have good food but do they have a train? No. Food took a minute to come out but nothing crazy beyond whats a usual time to wait. The staff was attentive, oh did I mention the train? Muffins were dry but thats cool they make them in house, trains.

Anything you order good homemade cooking I gave it a one star for service because Thursday 08/29/24 I placed my first to go order. It was a very small order a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit.. I was charged $7.25 for one biscuit sandwich. At first I thought without seeing it.. must be a good size sandwich but when I got home I was very disappointed. The biscuit was no larger than a can biscuit and Im sure they didnt use more than one egg which the sausage was able to hide under. I know prices are higher now but, I could of bought one dozen of eggs and a roll of sausage for the price of that sandwich. Extremely Disappointed!!

Second time eating here the food was really good the first time .The Second time it was ok my hashbrown was burned and it tasted like to much oil .But my Sisterinlaw hashbrown was well cooked .The staff is really friendly. But I did not like the fact we got seated next to the restroom like our table was the last one so the restroom was behind us so we had so many people just passing right next to us. I wish I would of know where the restroom where but now that I know next time I am going to say please not the table next to the restroom. But I will go again and try the waffles they looked really good and are huge .Also the bacon is really good and crispy and the blue berry muffins are delicious

A Corpus classic with a fun history. Come early but worth the wait if you dont. Kitchen bar seating and booths, so come one or come all. The hot chocolate is tall and messy with whipped cream and chocolate sauce as it should be. The service is so warm and friendly. Breakfast quesadilla tops the charts for me and (after coffee and free muffins) usually gives me leftovers for lunch. Its our go-to birthday breakfast place. Everything made fresh, and they are glad to have you. *Never leave, Andys!**

Cute restaurant with great food and wait staff. There was a bit of a wait for our party 7 however the wait outside wasnt bad plenty of seating and the plants surrounding the wait area outside is nice. We were sat in a booth which fit all 7 of us with 1 chair placed at the end of the table. We were given blueberry muffins once we were seated and they were delicious. The kids in our party enjoyed watching the 2 trains going around the ceiling. We mostly ordered breakfast with 1 person ordering an enchilada plate. We all enjoyed our food and will be returning on our next beach trip out there. I feel it was affordable for the amount of food we received.

There s a reason this place has a 35 minute wait for breakfast, good food, good service, good prices! My only complaint would be the seats, they should invest in better cushioned chairs. Wait.. how have I not been here before? My son is usually in charge of picking out restaurants for us to eat at when we travel. We roll up for breakfast and were immediately seated. I loved the two trains they had running on tracks in the ceiling. It was very nostalgic. The young lady who was our service was on top of it. She made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. My kid had ordered eggs and she asked him what kinds of salsa he wanted and brought all of them they had available, including two they made homemade. They also brought out homemade blueberry muffins that were hot. As I am eating one, I look over and noticed they had all kinds of homemade baked goods available. I am glad we got there when we did, as the restaurant had filled out quickly. The food was amazing and the service was also stellar. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

The food, as usual, was delicious. My complaint is with the service. Our waitress was inattentive. She started with an incorrect drink order, which also took a while to get to our table. We asked for muffins, and there were plenty because we could see the other wait staff serving their tables. Our order did not include any special requests and it still took a while to get to us. The kicker is that we ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for my toddler grandson. It wasnt brought out with our food. We made the waitress aware of it. By the time it got to the table hed already eaten his fill. We asked for a box for the grilled cheese, she brought us a paperbag just a paperbag. We didnt get a refill until we were done eating.

Food was delicious. I ordered the shrimp, and for $15 for the size of the 5 shrimp is not reasonable. Our server did not give us the muffins? Or bread? That everyone else had. She gave us our soup and salad right before our food came out, but no dressing and no silverware. She took forever to get it for us. She didn t pick up plates. When I was trying to get her attention she eating in the corner where you re supposed to be wrapping silverware. There was no redemption throughout the entire meal. We even asked for split tickets before we ordered and then she seemed stressed when we asked for it to be split at the end. The train was cool. Maybe we will come back after we forget about the bad service we had today.

Great food with reasonable prices. A short wait for a table. Service was excellent. Love the vibe with all the diners happily chatting and the model train going around the room.

Me and my wife were visiting here from Fort Worth, TX and came across Andys Kitchen. We had a late breakfast and everything was very good! It reminded us of Westside Cafe back home...almost same atmosphere and menu too, service as well. Would definitely go back and recommend it to friends and family that come down here to visit.

The food and service are great. This is an extremely popular place, so be prepared to wait in line. Its also often crowded and noisy. Still, its well worth it to visit! Vegetarian options: We were able to get changes to items without any questions or hassle from the waiters. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids eat here. Its a very family- friendly place.

Always a great place to gather and decompress over good home cooking in a quaint, country setting. Nothing fancy, just a warm country restaurant. Generous food portions, complimentary blueberry muffins start you off with a smile, and waitresses are friendly and attentive. Great for breakfast.

Food is amazing, quick service, great portions. Enjoy the train on the ceiling passing by and the free homemade blueberry muffins. Their menu is a great variety of what Corpus Christi Texas is a melting pot of culture.

Lots of customers, which is a great sign, but be prepared for a 30+ minute wait. Worth it. Free blueberry muffins, which tasted great. Two trains running around on a ceiling track, kids loved it. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Huge menu. Breakfast served all day. Highly recommend, especially if your visiting from out of town.

This place was packed (that was a good sign). We came around 1pm but only waited about 10 min to be seated . I enjoyed the country vibe of the interior decorations . I ordered the chicken strips, and they were a solid B+ . Everything was fairly priced .

Free blueberry muffins were good with a crunchy top. Bacon omelette was okay, and I would have never thought Id say this, but it was too much bacon. Toast was slathered in margarine, one bite left my whole mouth covered in grease. I cant believe how many people were waiting in line for breakfast. Its really changed since it first opened, and not for the better.

Please dont let the long line deter you from going to Andys because its well worth the wait. The food was so delicious that we had to go back one more time before we hit the road back to Houston. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. They also provide you with homemade blueberry Muffins while you wait on your food, and it was the best blueberry Muffins Ive ever had. I cant wait to go back to take the rest of my family to this restaurant in May.
