I have been taking my toddler daughter here since the beginning of the year and we have had a wonderful experience every time. This place and its atmosphere and staff truly caters to kids. She was uncertain at first but I was able to stand close (even got to hold her in my lap) and we were able to get her bangs trimmed at a nice even length with plenty of time to grow. She got to take a balloon home too which she loved. Absolutely will continue to come here for all her hair needs.

This place is a joke. What is the point of making an appointment and then it gets canceled and you dont even try to reschedule it? This happens all of the time. You just cancel and make no effort to move it around. I am surprised this place is still in business. Horrible business model.

I took my 2 yr son to this place. They are horrible always ask us to wait. Not just that they cut my child s ear he was bleeding. There was no answer when I questioned them. This happened 2 times we visited this salon. I recommend no one goes to this place. They are irresponsible and not professional.

We recently took our baby for his first haircut here, and the experience was horrible! We booked the appointment well in advance and received multiple reminders to be on time. We arrived at 5:10 for our 5:20 appointment, but they asked us to wait for sometime. We ended up waiting until 6:15, by which time our little one was already cranky. What s the point of making an appointment if the schedule is not followed properly? Very disappointed. Never going back to this place again!

I took my daughter in to cut an inch off and cut her bangs. Her bangs turned out terrible. Lopsided and uneven. I asked the lady to even it out and it was worse so I just paid and left. Had to get it fixed elsewhere when it grew out a bit. And for the price you pay totally not worth it. We haven t been back since.

Dwana was great! However, their bundle is a scam and it is not clear that you are paying for a wash if you decide you don t want one. Had I been told I was paying for a wash regardless - I would have done it. It needs to be very clear and I am definitely owed a wash and didn t get one. Overpriced for spraying with water and a cut.

Ive been to sharkys before in Wautaga many times but moved near dallas so I went to this coppell location. I was hoping to not have to pay for this haircut after seeing my sons skin and blood. All I was told is that they can call the manager and ask if I can be comped my next visit.... I really dont want to go there again... maybe if I had someone new... this lady was in a rush I believe. I had an appt at 620pm , was there at 610 and someone else was there for a 630, they close at 7. Stylist: Would not recommend Julieta

The receptionist Anum is very rude. I arrived 15 minutes early to my daughter s appointment and she wanted me to wait for a client that was already 10 minutes late to take them ahead of us. When I said this would make us late she said sorry the other customer is going to be upset .. wonderful customer service by her. I was sent an email that if I was 7 minutes late my appt would need to be rescheduled.

I recently took my child to this salon, expecting a full-service experience. Unfortunately, I was left underwhelmed by what we received. Despite the salons advertised services, they only provided a haircut for my child, skipping the wash and blow-dry which is a standard part of most kids haircuts elsewhere. When it came time to pay, I was surprised to find the service was priced at $32, which felt steep considering we only received a basic haircut without the additional care and styling Ive come to expect. The quality of the haircut itself did not meet our expectations, especially when comparing it to the results from other salons weve visited in the past. Upon inquiring about the missed wash and style service at the register, the response was that the stylist should have offered it during the appointment. They suggested that we could go back to have it done, but this was inconvenient and not something you want to deal with, especially after wrapping up what you thought was the full appointment. In summary, while I appreciate the salons focus on children, the service and value for money did not meet our expectations. The lack of communication regarding services and the quality of the haircut left much to be desired. I hope the salon can address these issues to improve the experience for future customers.

It was an unexpected experience after all the great reviews. When we got there, there was only one person working. Most of the staff didnt show up to work. She started my daughters appointment 30 minutes late, which is understandable being the only person there. There was a new employee that came in that morning and left after 5 minutes. Probably because the hair stylist was sharing stories of being bit by kids, having a dislocated finger from some kid, etc. Just sharing stories (in front of my child, too) that werent really workplace appropriate in front of customers. The haircut was ok, but not really finished. She rushed through it and didnt check her work after blow drying it. We didnt start enjoying the experience until after more staff came in (late). I also forgot to mention that the cleanliness could have been better. We sat in one chair that had old hair in it still (even after the employee cleaned it). Oh, and she asked me not to mention any of this to the owners if they showed up while we were there (they were expected to show up that day). I understand being understaffed can cause some issues, so we are willing to give the place another chance, but maybe with a different stylist at a different time of day.

Charla did a horrible job on my sons hair. Also I was charged 32$ for a wash, cut and blow-dry and all they did was spray water on his hair and cut it. My son left the salon with a wet head. Left and right side are not even and they didn t even try to fix it. My son wasn t even fussy at all. This place is horrible and its my son s birthday party today. I will have to find another salon to fix this mess. I am so disappointed.

Took my child for a hair cut. The stylist was very nice but they seemed to be rushing through the hair cut and didn t even trim my child s neckline. I had to ask that it be trimmed. Also my child is 3 so does not do well sitting still and the stylist buzzed him with the clipper. Leaving a big chunk taken out. All in all I would not return to this location.

Vanessa has been the stylist for my son close to a year. Vanessa pretty much has mastered how to handle any kid including special needs kids. My son had a fear to cut his hair but after meeting Vanessa now he is pretty comfortable to cut his hair and feels very happy with Vanessa at Sharkeys. Thank you Vanessa for this help which was once a big challenge for me but no more after you become his stylist at Sharkeys.

Wanted to leave a quick review for Vanessa! Every time we have an appointment, she is ready to go and makes sure to kindly greet you and get to know your babe and asks what you would like and checks in with you through the haircut. Shes very patient and precise specially when you have a squirmy toddler. The balloon at the end is the cherry on top for my child but the customer service we have received has been unmatched. One of the best hair saloons for kids in Dallas area. They take care of babies and toddlers very patiently. They dont have any fixed time limit for hair cut what we experienced with other saloons. This is our 4th visit. My son really like them and I like their cuts, their careness to my son.

We had Vanessa as the hairdresser she welcomed us and was very sweet to us but she messed up my daughters hair she said she moved so her bangs got cut really short ok but her hair are so many different lengths and lots of uneven hair at the back. Used to love coming here when Mrs. Tina would cut my little ones hair. Not sure where she is now. The past 3-4 times, Ive been here Ive had to wait 35 mins or more to get my kids hair cut. The excuse from Vanessa is always that its hard to get the little ones to stay still hence the appointments running behind. Mind you, when this place opened, we never had that issue. This has been happening everytime. Instead of being apologetic we have encountered passive aggressiveness from Vanessa. The last time we were there was the last straw. After waiting almost 40 mins, Vanessa asked why we were wanting to head out and we explained we had an appointment to be at. She ended up cutting my Littles hair. I always ask for specifics on their sideburns and his hair always ends up looking like Spok. Anyway, when we left another customer arrived and she loudly said THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE MAAM how can I help you as I walked out. I waited almost 40 mins and she said that. What a joke. What horrible customer service. I would consider other salons like Jungle Cuts for friendly, customer service.

Susie gave my autistic son a haircut today and she was wonderful. He kept standing up and not wanting to participate in the desperately needed haircut. She was patient with him the whole time and suggested different things to calm/occupy him. My favorite part, besides the haircut itself, was that even though my mostly non-verbal didn t respond, she kept trying to talk to him and entertain him. 10/10 recommend Susie.

This was my first visit and was thankful to do a walk-in for my 3 kids. 2 bang cuts and 1 trim. -bad bang trim (stylist said my 6 yr old s fault, she moved too much). From what I saw, she didn t. But maybe she did. It s a salon specializing in children -didn t brush out either girl s hair. Just touched bangs. -son s haircut still has hair hanging over his ears; even after asking for it to be corrected. -starting suggested tip at checkout is around 40%. The third option is $35 (75%) on $45 (for example) -as soon as my card went through the 2 stylists talked with the receptionist, right in front of me, about how to split the tip. They said because front desk was in training. Either way; no one else was in line. It could have waited. Extremely unprofessional and awkward. If that high of a tip % is needed, please increase base cost and lower suggested tip. The girls seemed very anxious about the outcome of the tip, increasing the rates and giving them more that way would provide more security to them on their wages if it s built in, rather on expecting someone to pay a 30-75% tip. Will not be returning

Decent. Not great. Room for improvement. They will have to win my patronage back. As for now, I would not recommend. Cons: The stylist had never heard of a Bowl Cut and when shown pictures of the desired haircut still goofed it. The other stylist, who was part of the conversation, only offered help as to how to cut/style the hair AFTER the mistakes were made- it is a moot gesture at that point. Paid for a wash. Did not receive a wash. When tipped, was charged an additional % of that tip, as extra Tippy Fee . STILL have not received my receipt which I requested multiple times to the staff. Pros: Staff was friendly and genuinely seems to want to make the children comfortable. The store it self is fun for the kids and allowed him to be distracted. Gave my son a balloon which made him happy

Sadly, today showed exactly why this chain is not making any money and are close to going out of business. Came in with multiple kids with me, 3 employees behind the counter looking at us (2 sitting down), literally not one person or kid in the entire store & the lady rudely said she doesn t have time for me for 2 hrs . Didn t ask me for my business or anything (almost as if she thought maybe I got my kids out of the car and walked in here to say hi and leave). Updated: 2/17/23 we had VANESSA and she was a fabulous hair stylist. Very patient with my 5 year old. She did a great job with his haircut today Highly recommend this place for kids hair cuts! We went on Sunday for my son s haircut but on Monday upon noticing it I wasn t overly thrilled with the cut and the length. I called the store and the manager promptly returned my call. Scheduled a time for me to come in, free of charge, to have another stylist work on his hair. We had Tye this afternoon and she was wonderful! She was quick and easily made my son s hair look how I envisioned within ten minutes. Would definitely return to see her again!

The stylists here always do a great job. They are patient with the kids and the haircuts always come out nicely. What makes Coppell Sharky s especially nice is the personal attention. Our stylist Vanessa even sent us home with a special treat for my daughter who was home sick and couldn t come in for a haircut. I may get my next cut here!

We took our daughter here for her first haircut they did so good they all treated her nice Tina was amazing 100% recommend Tina listened to what I wanted and kept her so happy the whole time and our daughter is very impatient normally. I plan on taking her back for every hair cut

Appt. was with Tina, but without telling us anything, Mrs Vanessa flies in out of no where to cut my infants hair, had to spell out my babys name like 5 times, she was having an uphill struggle with the name, I offer to write the name down but in typical Vanessa fashion she does not even reply. A fun memorable experience left me upset. I wanted to fix her attitude like I have done few times in the past but my family talked me out of it. She is miserable, take your business elsewhere. Loosing 1 customer means nothing to them as they are TOO big, did I mention - changing business means nothing to me either, yet ? :)

Stylist are amazing here! My sons first haircut was at a barber which was a HUGE MISTAKE. After that he was traumatized and did not want to get a haircut again. When he went to Sharkeys for the first time he was nervous but they made sure he was comfortable the whole time. Theyre patience with kids and super nice! Not to mention he loves getting haircuts now. Thanks to the wonderful staff! Really encourage people to go there! Big thanks to Tina for giving my son an amazing haircut!!!!

NEW MANAGEMENT IS INCOMPETENT! MOST 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FOR EARLIER MANAGEMENT. I had an appointment at 2:20, but I got done earlier at 1:00 so I stopped by to ask if they can do it earlier. At this point there is a 1:30 PM appointment available to book online, which I have already mentioned to them. These lady Vanessa told me to wait and they will try to work it out, so I didnt feel the need to book 1:30 that was already available online. Its 2:05 pm and I am still waiting. IN THAT 1 HR, I SAW TWO KIDS HAVE A MAJOR MELTDOWN AND INABILITY OF BOTH THE HAIR STYLISTS TO HANDLE THAT SITUATION (LACK OF COMPASSION AND DISTRACTION). Both the stylists have a bit of an attitude problem, which is not ideal for a kids haircut place. There are some other places that are a farther drive but I have never seen such constant meltdowns at other kids Salons. My kid is older and doesnt get nervous about hair cuts so it didnt bother me as much, but I would NEVER TAKE MY KID HERE FOR HIS FIRST HAIR CUT...down right tramautizing. After having waited till 2:05 (for an entire hour), they are now taking people who have arrived after me. So when I questioned them they started making excuses about it. My major frustration here is about the fact that she could have simply told me in first place to return at my appointment time if they were double booked and busy. And when they didnt have a good enough reason to justify their unfair approach they tried to shut me down by saying how they dont want to argue. Not to mention they were over booking because every appointment was delayed by 30+ mins. One of the most poorly operated and unprofessionally handled kids hair cut place I have seen. I am happy to drive 20 mins away and work with someone who values my time and business.

The service was good, but I was over charged and was not given all the service mentioned on the website, I was charge 41, that was with the tip included. But I was not offered for my girl to get her hair wash, nails or the toy ring that is mentioned in there website. Once my wife ask me if does services were done and i said no we figured out that we were over charged. I called back Tina the manager and she said that is a package and that is optional, I told her that she never mentioned to me me. She assumed that I didnt want does services, when I requested a partial refund she said they dont do thT that I could go back and she will provide me the services she didnt mentioned in the first time. I told her I was not able to go back to please make a partial refund and she keep saying that they dont do partial refund sense is a package.Bang trim is supposed to be only $10!!!!!

So our first experience was really good, thats why we went second time. But all the staff changed and the lady who cut the hair, I kept telling her to cut the hair short but she still didnt cut them short. My daughter is sensitive and cries cries so we we had to compromise but then they charged us for a soft toy which they gave by themselves. We didnt even ask for it, my daughter was mad and crying so the lady offered it to her saying you can play with it and bite. Then during the checkout they charged for it saying that she bit her and now you have to buy it. I mean you should have told us earlier before giving it to my daughter. I still gave the 10 dollars tip as I was not calculating the money as they were. But you know what you just lost a customer because you made my buy that toy without my consent .

I was 6 minutes late to one of my kids hair appointments. (I made two appointments 5 minutes apart.) Which was my fault. I should have accounted for traffic. That being said I thought the way I was talked to by the young girl behind the counter was a bit unprofessional. After apologizing she later told me two more times that I had thrown off their whole schedule. She also messed up on my daughters hair. She cut my daughters bangs crooked and much too short then blamed her hair. I also asked for layers and the way she cut them was odd to me. They are all in one spot in the back of her head. Lol I probably should have showed her a picture instead of giving her a description of what I wanted. It was an older woman who cut my sons hair. She did a excellent job, and despite all his fidgeting too! She was patient and professional. She was good with my son and I will absolutely bring him back! Overall I feel partially to blame for my negative experience. I bring my son back and try to find someone else to cut my daughters hair.

Lucky and Monet did an amazing job with the kiddos! 100% recommended! My son has mild autism and adhd and Monet was super patient and fun! Very outgoing! Lucky did the cleanest fade I ve seen on my son ever! The video games and entertainment were the best! This is the first time they actually sat still throughout the whole process and they re both very sensitive with the hair that falls out, nonetheless they did amazing!!! I loved it! I will definitely be going there from now on!

Not sure of the Stylists name but she was rude and basically rushed my son s haircut. I usually go to the southlake location, But due to time and distance we decided to try this location worst mistake ever! Save your time and money and go to the southlake location or another because this was not it! If I could give zero stars I would!

Most of the positives reviews here are fake or paid reviews by the owners. The stylist was not friendly from the beginning and and seem to have no clue how to do kids haircut or how to work with scissors or clipper. She made cuts/bruises on my son s ear and neck line; she sprayed so much water on his head that he was dripping wet! All in all, she finished the hair cut in less than 5 mins! Yes, less than 5 mins! And she didn t even bother to clean up the hair after the haircut! I really doubt if she is licensed/trained. If you want a bad haircut for your child and your child be treated rudely, then go to this place. Otherwise stay away! Not at all recommended.

I usually take my son to the Sharkeys in Southlake. I decided to take him to this location because it was closer to work. When we walked in, nobody greeted us when they saw us. We waited almost 15 minutes for our stylist, Mia even with an appointment scheduled. My sons haircut did not come out good at all. I showed our stylist Mia how I wanted my sons haircut about 3 times and I was still not satisfied. The other stylist was on her phone and had her client wait for her until she was off the phone. I will not return to this location.

My son s barber(her is Lucky) did an amazing job! She was personable and now I will be going to her to cut my hair. The receptionist looked a little depress and not too happy but Lucky made up for that with her can do attitude. My son love her! I highly recommend her.

Took my daughter for 1st hair cut to Sharkeys Hair stylist : Tye took care of my 2 years old daughter and did pretty good job for Hair cut, made my daughter to feel comfortable 1st and continued with hair cut & it was pretty fast too. We will keep continuing to go only to this location and recommend anyone to choose this location without any 2nd thought. This location has seats which are designed as cars... 1 police car, 1 fire truck for boys 1 frozen theme car for girls. Started with Nail Cut & Nail Polish, At the end of Hair cut, they gave a ring for baby girl to choose & also can pickup a baloon what kids wants

Love this place! We will never go anywhere else again. My 3 year old was so happy & didnt want to leave. At other places she doesnt talk or act happy but here she felt comfortable & was laughing with the stylist Jessica, who did a great job. They also painted her nails and gave her a balloon, a ring , and a lolly pop all included in the price. They also stream anything your kid wants to watch.
