Really like this place. Colby behind the bar took great care of us on a Wednesday night. We had burgers and pizza. My only complaint is that the J Ross pizza doesn t come with a sauce. Either way, we loved it and will be back. They had live music too and TVs to watch the game.

Awesome food! Ms. Alex was the best! Very knowledgeable about the menu! My husband is a very picky eater and she was able to help him find the comfort food he was looking for. Service was fast and delicious! I had the Reuben sandwich which was the best I have ever had! Great atmosphere. Would definately come here again when my husband and I are in the area!!!! I absolutely love this place!! Ive always enjoyed the brick walls on the inside and the ambiance it creates. The staff is quick to take your order and come by often to ensure you dont need anything else and are satisfied. Speaking of satisfaction... their pizza... OMG. If you have never visited this Tavern, you should. Between the atmosphere, the great food and the great kind clientele, you will feel right at home. And then, if you have the privilege of having the best waitress on the planet, Aubrey, you will be triple-dog-blessed. One of the best nights of my life with a great friend all because we made great new friends and Aubrey provided such fun and great service for us. Thank you, Aubrey! Thank you Red BrickTavern. My friend has battled Stage IV breast cancer for over 10 years, with it showing up three more times in various places in her body after her first fight when doctors told her to go home and say goodbye to her kids, many years ago. It is a special treat when she comes to town and we get to celebrate her life and victories, and we love it even more when a great waitress like Aubrey, and great clientele like Shae, Shayla, Sandy, and Buddy, join in our fun and celebrate her too. Thank you for a great night and great memories with my friend! p.s. Boo to the manager who shushed us for laughing too loud/hard. We had three glasses of white wine and ordered food twice over a period of 6+ hours. She treated us rudely right from the start when we attempted to compliment Aubrey, and she continued to do so. I guess a friend in the middle of fighting Stage IV cancer for the fourth time and finding joy in life (at a bar where you are meant to laugh and have a good time) with another friend who is so grateful she s still here to laugh was too just much happiness for the manager. Way to put an ugly end on a beautiful night Manager Girl.

I love the atmosphere and vibes of this place. My waitress was super friendly. I got the Honky Tonk burger, which is basically a BBQ bacon cheeseburger. It was okay, but there was just a few dabs of BBQ sauce on one side of the burger, so that was a disappointment. The guy next to me was bragging about their meatloaf, so I d for sure go back to try that.

Had lunch here recently. Ordered a flight of beers to see which ones we liked. The bartender was kinda rude when asked which beers are the best, he responded curtly that they are all good and thats why he has them on tap. Ok dude. Then when he brings them to our table he spills beer all over us and the table. Fine. We move tables. Then the pizza comes out and its a glorified frozen pizza experience. So disappointing. The pulled pork nachos were one baked glob and underwhelming. Probably wont be back, unfortunately.

This a nice local watering hole with great staff and food. If you Dont know what you want in the way of libations, ask Mark if youre there in the daytime. A cold beer pairs well with the craft beer queso and chips! They also have brick oven pizza. Grace was my server. She was awesome! Ive also had the shrimp and grits. Yum!! Eat local!

My family and I really like this place, pizzas are tasty, lots of topping options. I really like the boudin balls, although I would probably like them even better if they had some cheese in them. Live music on the weekends and thats always fun, its rarely as loud as other restaurants that have live music. Just loud enough to enjoy but still be able to talk to each other. Service is usually great, occasionally slow on busy nights but overall great servers who can help you make your selections. Plus I love that its in one of the old original buildings of Conroe! Parking: Street parking when available, but there are lots nearby too.

Great place with home cooking style dishes, pricing is decent especially for the food quality, will likely have live entertainment but its not annoyingly loud, just sets a pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress did a great job, only reason Im leaving service at 4 stars is the tipping option only starts at 20% which is fine.., but the principle doesnt sit well with me. Immediate seating inside, fast friendly service. Good menu selections. Gracie was great, she knew the favorites, great service without being hovering over us. We tried it on a whim a week ago and came back today, and got the same excellent service and food. Parking: Its easy to find parking within 1 block and while looking at the local stores as you arrive to the restaurant is interesting. This establishment is small and charming. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. On Thursday nights, they have a live band, which I both like and dislike. I like it because you can really tell how many regulars come here because everybody seems to know each other, including the musicians. However, I sometimes dislike it because the place is so small and the music gets so loud the customers and staff have to yell to be heard. Sometimes, this causes me to leave with a headache. The best solution for this is to not go on a Thursday night. Vegetarian options: As far as I could tell, there were two vegetarian options that I saw. They have a vegetarian pizza and a spaghetti squash dish. Im not sure if they have a separate vegetarian menu. However, the food is tremendous, and my friend loved the vegetarian pizza. So its still worth checking out and asking about other vegetarian options. Parking: This is in downtown Conroe, so there is street parking around all the buildings. However, this is a very popular place, and there are other popular places in the same 2 block radius. So you may have to walk a few blocks. There are handicap spots around the various buildings as well. Kid-friendliness: Not a kid friendly place if you ask me. Its a bar/tavern that does not have a separate area away from the bar like Chilis or Applebees. That being said, I have seen kids in there before. Wheelchair accessibility: It seems to be a very tight space with every square inch possible filled with booths and tables. Im not sure how they get wheelchairs in there, but I bet they do as needed. I discovered last night that they can and will move the center booths around to combine tables to make you for large groups. So I believe they would shift stuff around to make room for wheelchairs if need be.

So I call this place 2 make an inquiry concerning possible employment opportunity and was greeted with dismissiveness and defensiveness that I feel was absolutely, totally uncalled 4 and unwarranted. The first time I called, before I was abruptly hung up on, I spoke with a young lady who upon asking her name, got hung up on. This struck me as very odd, considering Ive always been under the impression that the professional and proper way 2 answer a phone call in said establishment is 2 state the business name, thank the caller 4 calling, say your name and ask how may I help u?. Or something along those lines. I asked 2 speak with someone I management and the question I was asked is may I ask what this is pertaining 2?. Im thinking 2 myself R U SERIOUS?!!!. Truth be told, its actually not even proper 2 ask may I ask whos speaking? If one calls and asks 2 speak with management. The proper business etiquette is 2 find management and let them know they have a call. I then asked the young lady her name. At that time I was hung up on. I immediately called back. This time I was met with even more hostility as someone by the name of Jeanelle (dont know if I spelled it right and afraid 2 ask 4 fear of getting cussed out at this point). She proceeds in a very very hostile manner 2 ask me who I am and what this is about etc. Then tells me that they have many sales calls. Again, R U SERIOUS?!!! And u work in the SERVICE INDUSTRY?!! And youre management?!!! I then make reference 2 contacting corporate. She very arrogantly gives me a number thats one digit different from the main number. Turns out this number is her extension and I get her voicemail. WOW!!! Ive more than 20 yrs experience in this industry and have worked in everything from casual 2 fine dinning, serving the likes of Tiger Woods, Gwen Stefani, Mike Myers and Tommy Hillfiger. Im a trained banquet server therefore Im very well acquainted with and knowlegable on how things should be done and likewise not done concerning full service restaurant concepts. I think the food is great at this place being that ive had take out however, this hurrendous abd deplorable manner in which i was spoken 2 and treated is disgusting and has no place in the industry from which it came. SHAME ON U RED BRICK TAVERN!!! And I do not work at a steakhouse. That is a blatant lie! I havent 4 years I dont know where u got your information while attempting 2 rationalize, justify and minimize your actions. This had nothing 2 do with my interest in working there but the immediate phone contact when I called. Your phone etiquette and the fact that instead of extending an apology 4 your utter unprofessionalism, u tell me that Im reprehensible?! It figures, being that u r located in downtown Conroe only a block or so where they once hanged black men publicly. We were in Conroe, from Iowa, for a high school graduation and ended up eating here 3 of our 4 days. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is awesome. We came on Sunday for brunch and the gospel band was fantastic! They had this super cool bluegrass vibe and it made our day. We had a larger group (7-8 people) every day and they were able to accommodate us every time. If you re debating, get the french onion soup. Every. Single. Time. Peppermint Patty was seriously the best. She was super attentive and friendly. Honestly, we were a little bummed when she wasn t here for our last visit.

Fun tavern atmosphere. We were there for lunch, but it looks like there is live music in the evenings, which would be fun. Our waitress was kind and helpful. We had the pulled pork sandwich, which was delicious. My sweet potato French fries were yummy, but a bit skimpy. We also had the pulled pork enchiladas. The pork was great, but the hatch chili sauce was a miss for us. It was a bit pricey for lunch at over $50 for the two of us- and we had water and an iced tea.

I have nothing but, high marks for Red Brick Tavern except for a small issue at the very end of the night in the service. First off our server was friendly, helpful and very courteous. We ordered two pizzas a pepperoni pizza n the Hawaiian pizza which are prepared in a brick flamed oven which makes them extra special. Both were flavorful with a soft crust which I believe you could eat alone with butter added. We also ordered some chicken wings that didnt need any ranch cause they were delicious on their own. The restaurant has Great decor, it has a huge bar and a stage with live music while you dine. Believe me I highly recommend this restaurant if youre in Conroe Texas vicinity. But, once we got our receipt back from our waitress she had mistakenly charged a different tables amount due to our credit card even though ours was completely less & we gave part cash which wasnt even shown on the receipt. Now, we have to wait till hopefully Monday for nearly $90 to be put back into the bank account. I know mistakes happen but, this mixup shouldnt happen in a restaurant!

We read some mixed reviews about the meatloaf, specifically about it being dry. Hopefully this review helps you. It isnt a dry meatloaf. It is a blend of beef, pork, and sausage which gives it a thicker and heartier texture that some may be confusing for dry. It definitely isnt memaws beef meatloaf with the fat juices running out of it. If you are looking for that type of meatloaf, this isnt it. This is Memaws meatloaf elevated with a unique blend of spices, topped with a hearty scoop of mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and fried onions. I also highly recommend the Texas cheese fries - bacon, cheese, and fries... Im sold.

We already knew this place has great food and entertainment, but had no idea they have breakfast until we were watching an episode of The Daytripper. Went back for breakfast and husband got the Texas Poutine and I got the breakfast tacos, both dishes did not disappoint! I was impressed because the salsa was homemade and reminded me of my grandmothers salsa. Our server Patty greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. The potatoes were fresh, bacon was just the right mix of crispy and juicy, and the coffee was good. Patty was awesome about checking on us and keeping my coffee full. It was a quiet chill atmosphere, definitely needed on an early Saturday morning.

The Cobb salad is good, but NOT worth $16.50. The ingredients were fresh, but there wasnt nearly enough of them to charge that much. The salad came with half an egg, half a chicken breast, a tablespoon of bacon, cheese crumbles, and cheap filler vegetables like cucumber and canned black olives. The atmosphere has a ton of potential. However, they are storing supplies all over the restaurant. They have cases of soda stacked up against the wall in the dinning area. The first thing you see when you walk into the restaurant is the entire kitchen. They also store bathroom products all out in the open.

We stopped by to just have a quick lunch and beer. Beer is incredibly overpriced, burgers are pricey and just fine and then there was a $2 additional fee if paying by credit card; basically the actual price advertised is the cash price.

Came for breakfast. Ordered the pizza and my wife ordered the omelet. Food was high quality, fresh and delicious. Service was warm and prompt. Jessica, our server, was very nice and attentive.

RBT was pretty dreary and a bit dirty. Booth we sat in was ripped up and the other side was very uncomfortable to sit on. I think it could look very nice but just needs some work. Old tables and chairs, didn t live up to the hype. Food was not so good. Ordered the $26 shrimp and grits. Under seasoned and so oily. Absolutely not worth that price. Sister got pistachio chicken- bland and not worth the $20-$25 price. Appetizer fries- again under seasoned and tasted old. Service was great though, no complaints there. Server was very attentive.

Came here for pizza and wasn t very impressed with it - the pizzas were flavorful but on the smaller side. We came on a live music night and the speakers were WAY too loud. We had to practically yell to hear one another. I guess it would be a good place to sit at the bar. Reading other reviews, wish I had tried something off the entrees and gotten a better first impression.

The menu has a lot of good choices. We all ended up with sandwiches. I had the honky-tonk burger. It was cooked just right and had the right amount of bbq sauce and jalapeños. Cristina had a chicken sandwich that was huge and cooked perfectly. Noah got alfredo. She s a toddler so she didn t eat it, but we ll enjoy it tonight. Our waitress Jacqueline was friendly and helpful. Great experience! Kid-friendliness: No high chairs. Just boosters. That was fine for us but others might have a problem if they have younger kids. The place is small so high chairs would definitely be hard to use.

The food was spectacular, and the service was superb. The carnitas tacos were tasty and succulent with great spice. The fries were perfectly cooked, crisp outside, fluffy inside. Our waiter was both professional and engaging and answered all our questions. It was a bit crowded with boxes because they were receiving an order of supplies; however, the overall experience was wonderful.

Weve been here before and food has been good .. this experience was 0 stars .. we walked in and told to sit wherever we wanted .. we then waited 16 minutes (yes I had looked at the clock) with no acknowledgement at all. We left and went somewhere else. Very disappointing.

Fantastic, will definitely be back. We had the Blackened N Awlins Salmon with an amazing topping with Cilantro Rice. We also got the seasoned green beans. Could not believe green beans could taste so good. Then we decided to sin right after church and got the brownie that s not cooked till u order it in a cast iron pan topped with ice cream and pecans. It was bubbling when it came to the table. Off the chain good. Service was excellent and everyone so friendly. Staff and patrons. Every Sunday someone plays gospel music 11-3. Highly enjoyable plus they have 4 TVs if u want to watch the game

Family owned restaurant with high quality, fresh food all around. Known for the pizza, the burgers, amazing specials and other entrees like pastas, soups, salads, and fish too! This place is great. I never get tired of coming here. I bring my friends there all the time and they love it. Its a safe to say that nearly my entire high school knows about the restaurant especially the teachers. I always get good feedback from them. The staff is about the friendliest you can get so treat them good. Theres live music Thursday - Saturday with Sundays being gospel Sunday brunch. Overall this place is amazing with a very kind owner I highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: Menu has clearly marked vegetarian dishes in every category on the menu Wheelchair accessibility: Little more of a walk but looking at the tavern past the theater entrance on the left the road meets the sidewalk. theres also a ramp at the end of the block on the right and many others around the downtown square

Overall fairly good. The shrimp and grits were really good and the meatloaf was about average. Service was good especially for the sheer volume of people in the restaurant. I will come back at some point and try the pizza. I hear great things about it. My first time to downtown Conroe and Im looking to go back and explore more.

My husband and I used to come a couple times a month for lunch dates, but stopped because it was just inconsistent in what kind of service and quality of food we were going to get. We decided to give it another shot last week and it confirmed why we stopped going. We did our usual order of boudin balls (which are always great and were the best part of this visit but I will say the sauce they brought out had a skin on top giving away that it was not freshly dished) and shared a burger. I did not ask for our burger to be cut in half and put onto different plates, but the waitress brought it out that way and I was impressed with her thoughtfulness. However, the burger was over cooked and the bread was also very dry. I was able to look past these few things until I received the bill. There was a $3 charge for splitting the meal! Then I looked further down and saw that there was a cash price for the amount of the ticket or it would be a $2+ up charge to use a card. I understand cc fees, but this should have been included in the already overpriced food that we received.

We paid for the performance and got cut off from ordering after spending 250.00 in food. Nobody was intoxicated so I do not understand we literally had 3-4 beers each. Would love my money back from the restaurant for my tickets as long as it s not at the performers expense. Kevin sucks!!!!!

The elderly gentleman they had singing tonight was intolerable. We had a party of 5 and all left because we could not stand the racist music he was attempting to sing. Many tables got up and left. Ended up taking out, the food was great, but because of the singer staying to eat was painful. The waiter Kevin and host were awesome too.

First visit on Saturday, the place was busy and a little crowded. Service was great, I was torn between the meatloaf or pistachio chicken sandwich. The server recommended the pistachio chicken. It looked great but didnt have a lot of flavor I think my breading was solely panko. I tried other our other guests food and it was great. Id definitely try the place again.
