You can score some great savings at this location at their clearance corner! I found all kinds of things at steep discount. Be sure you register phone number for Petco profile also, UNT phone number when you leave that pulls up your reward point history and all. Its their rewards program. Pro shop tip...ask manager when store marks down and what day new stuff comes. Knowing a stores policy will help you maximize savings!! Great location here tho. Staff was super helpful too

We stopped in looking for a new cat tree for my husbands 6 fat cats. It s important that he find something sturdy because he has a lot of cats. When I walked in, I was immediately struck by the smell. The whole store smelled like wet dirty animals and the store itself was not well maintained. I know it s a pet store, but I frequent other pet stores that do not smell and are clean. The displays were dated, there was extra merchandise just laying around haphazardly, and there was visible dirt and dust on broken displays. My husband found a cat tree and apparently they do cat grooming, which I found intriguing. Beyond that, the shopping experience was disappointing and made me sad for the animals that lived there.

DO NOT BRING YOUR FUR BABIES HERE FOR GROOMING!!!! My normal groomer was not available this weekend, so I thought I d bring my baby here. I was quoted online $86 for the cut/wash/materials. When I picked her up they charged me $121! The price sheet had two separate charges for brushing, one $15 and the other $10. They said they automatically add those charges and even though they don t add it to the online price. She said the other $10 was for her hair being longer and she had a couple of mats she had to cut with the sheers. They were just making excuses for charging $25 extra. One of the groomers interrupted my conversation with the lady who was assisting me and was rude and argumentative. Even the lady at the cash register agreed with me and said to talk to them about taking off the double charge and they wouldn t. This was about $30 more than my usual groomer, so I will not be returning and I wish I had never taken her to begin with.

Honestly, every interaction Ive had with the employees in my two years of going to this store have been fanatical. Genuinely give me the feeling of a team of individuals who are there to help me and not just make a sale. I go in for one thing, they offer their advice on better alternatives based on hearing what Im trying to accomplish. Sometimes it costs more but the quality is so much better. Sometimes it costs less because I had planned for more than I really needed. Shop here for your pets needs, though not for the animals they sell. I say this for my own personal opinion on their suppliers for the animals, and not to persuade anyone one way or another. I implore you to do your own research if you so choose to and not base your adoption or lack there of on my opinions. But their products are good, and their staff informative. I look forward to continuing to shop here for the rest of my stay here in Conroe.

This Petco is consistently filthy and the customer service is atrocious! My husband was trying to purchase meal worms that were alive in the 50 CT container. He was forced to search through a number of them due to deceased meal worms! Then, at the cashier the employee made the comment, that looks like more than 50 worms. Excuse me! If we were liars and theives, we certainly would not steal meal worms!

Just got our dogs groomed last week. They look ok but not much better than I could have done at home. Took them to professionals for 2 things specifically; trim their nails which resulted then cutting my male s too short and causing him to bleed and getting their anal glands expressed which is clear they didn t do. Super frustrating since grooming isn t cheap and I could have spent that money elsewhere at a groomer where they would have done what was promised in the package.

They actually have a pretty good selection of exotic fish and reptiles. The occasional fancy parrot. Their animals are really well cared for, any time I get fish here theyre never sick like Ive experienced at other locations and Petsmarts. People that work here are familiar with more than just cats and dogs so they can give actual useful advice about some of the less popular animals for beginners. I always come here for live feed for my snakes. They sometimes have small rats that are good for the in between stages of snakes that are outgrowing mice. Store is also very well kept, pretty much never looks dirty or disorganized. Fish tanks have some water staining on the glass but it cant be helped, I can tell the tanks themselves are in good condition.

This was my first time taking my Australian Shepherd to a groomer. I ve always groomed him myself in fear of this reason. Before leaving him with them I communicate exactly that I only want him trimmed (any straggly hairs) on his arms, legs, paws, tails, and butt. I told them I want him very natural. They asked me if they could cut his face, ears, body and I told them no. When I picked him up they did everything I asked them not to do. They cut off his Aussie Mane, gave him a sculpted Corgi butt, and cut off the hair on his arms. I really think this is just being unaware of how to cut an Australian Shepherd. Overall I just wish they listened to what I asked for.. especially because I payed so much.

Conroe Texas at 336 by Academy This is the dirtiest store I ve ever been in. As soon as you walk in you notice the smell of urine and stink. The store isn t stocked. Looked for a new collar for my shih tzu. Not one in stock. Looked for her treats. None in stock. They had a tag but were out of stock. Saw 4 employees. All 4 were on their cell phones including the one ringing a customer at the register.

SCAMMING SENIORS GOING VIRAL!!! went to Petco today to pick up some cat food my total was $51 the girl that checked me out said after I put my card in it didn t process I communicated that it Read approved she said no put it in again it Read approved again I went out to my car and looked on my phone Petco double charged me over $100 for one bag of cat food When I showed the Manager my bank info of the 2 charges he communicated that I need to dispute it with my bank. I had my rough collie groomed here. He has extreme anxiety at the groomers due to a bad experience when he was a puppy. I did the deshedding packaged and it was over $100 for a large dog (68-69lbs). He felt amazing after the appointment. He has bad impacted fur and it was all gone.

I just left the Petco on loop. Three thirty six informed the cashier that all of the ball pythons humidities were in the twenties and that they were too low and she couldnt care less about the issue.i find this in Humain. Also one of the ball pythons had a stuck shed on his head because of the humidity. Being wrong youll need to correct your husbandry or stop selling them. 12/30/24

This Petco location has good stock levels. The employees will help if you ask a question but Ive never been asked if I need help even when I clearly did. They arent rude just usually involved in conversations among themselves and not paying attention to customers. Im here often because my elderly dog loves the little teddy bear treats from the bulk bins. Update: changed to a 4 star review because of response from Petco below. I come in here fairly often. They price match so it is always my first stop. The staff members are all pretty friendly and very helpful. It is also clean and the animals they have in store have clean environments to stay in, and ample clean water and food. Aquarium sales are competent but the counter staff girls are not. I ordered an item for curbside and they would not bring it out. So they dont actually do curbside although it is advertised that way. I have a small baby and really do not want to have to get her out just to go to the counter. I will just go to Petsmart or use Amazon now. Thanks ladies

Love this petco, great and approachable employees. Excellent knowledge of products and their applications. Store is always clean, prices are clearly marked. They love to see our pets when we bring them in and the pets enjoy the treats!
