Great nature center with a handful of loop trails, mostly shaded by mature trees. Trails are a combination of paved/unpaved. Ponds attract water birds, blue heron photo attached to this review. A great little spot to enjoy nature and go for a stroll in DFW!

Wasnt what I was expecting. Fishing wise. At the moment, there are little fishes, blue gill, and bass. Hopefully, in a month or two they are grown, but right now, they only bite but wont hook . Was an amazing place to walk and relax. Ill give it a 4 star rating.

A hidden gem! I have seen the sign for many years and finally went to it, and it is so pretty and fun. Lots of different wildlife, the ponds are full of turtles and probably fish. It is FREE, which is so lovely! I had a fun time with my daughter and grandkids! There are lots of hiking trails that are easy to hike, both dirt and paved! Perfect for us, older folks! They also have an emergency phone system throughout! Highly recommend it.

So many opportunities for bird watching, other wildlife sightings, fishing, trail walking and exploring nature! It doesnt feel like youre in the middle of a neighborhood at all. I love this place. Do be careful of snakes and poison ivy and wear insect repellent. Playground: Nice playground for older children. Has swings and next to the bathroom. It can get hot in the summer. Toilets: Clean, next to the playground, parking lot, and pavilion. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly- keep them on the trail to avoid poison ivy Picnic area: Many places to stop and eat at tables, benches, clearings, or by ponds. There is one pavilion as well.

Great for natural trails, good amount of wild life for viewing. If your looking for a nice shaded peaceful walk, this is your spot. Make sure to bring the right shoes, for most of the trails are not paved and puddles of mud produce in many of the trails. this is not your typical walk around at a sidewalk park, expect nature to be a key element in your experience here!

If you like urban hiking, this is a great safe place to do it! If you like birding, its definitely a great place, for all seasons! In the spring time, it can be a great spot for warblers and in the winter, its good for sparrows, Hermit Thrushes, etc. One pf the more reliable spots to see the skulking resident (year round) Brown Thrashers. Has a resident pair of Red-shouldered Hawks and in the spring & summer, it hosts nesting Mississippi Kites! It can get really muddy after a rain, but otherwise, its a great birding spot! Playground: Small. Dog-friendliness: Dogs have to be leashed per Tarrant county laws & I believe park requires the same. Not everyone wants to greet an unleashed dog. Picnic area: Picnic tables near parking area.

This park is away from any commercial property and runs between nice neighborhoods. Lots of trails through wooded areas. And kinda neat they have like seven pounds in this park full of ducks, turtles and fish. Always see people fishing when there. Occasionally see a hawk and other birds there. They also have a stream about five foot wide that runs through this park. Rarely see bikers, but often see many walkers. Playground: Nice small playground next to only parking lot. (Plenty of street parking) Toilets: Two clean air-conditioned bathrooms next to playground and parking lot.

The Colleyville Nature Center is an excellent place to bring the family. The playground and pavilion at the entrance of the nature center doesnt do it justice. Mill Pond has a small dock jutting into it where we saw at least ten turtles swimming in the water. We saw two ducks that promptly waddled into Hermans Pond next to Mill Pond. On the other side of the ponds was a pathway that led into a maze of pathways and bridges near Little Bear Creek. We found an open air pavillion with benches made from wood sitting atop rocks. There even was a man made bat house near the open air pavilion. When we followed the trails to the east we found another pond at the end. Next time we will go further along the trails to the east to find the other three ponds shown on Google Maps and then go west to see the five ponds shown on Google Maps. It was quite drizzly the day we went so we didnt need to imbibe in any of the water we brought but I would suggest to bring some any other day since we found no water sources anywhere in the nature center. Lastly, we saw there were public restrooms near the playground.

You know those hole-in-the-wall restaurants that dont look the best, but the food is just so amazing that it knocks your socks off?? Well this is EXACTLY that! This place is so beautiful even on the outside, but you would have 0 idea that it is 48+ acres massive and so beautiful! This is the most perfect nature area! Its secluded and unbelievably peaceful! The lakes are perfect for fishing or just relaxing by! Theres tons of wildlife and tons of walking trails! Its hard to want to even post this or talk about it just because you dont want any more people to find it! One of those places you want all to yourself!

One of my favorite places during the week. On the weekend, it can get crowded. Recently held a scout meeting and hike there. Loved it.
