Update 10/1/24: We went for dinner with a guest. Dahi chat, bhel puri was missing the balance and can only taste one flavor, no sweet/sour flavor in chat. Chloe tasted very bland. no flavor. Aachari Chicken gravy tasted bland and no flavor. Very disappointed. Panner Kati roll also did not impress us. They have gone down in quality/taste. Service was good and atmosphere was good. Updating review to a one star for a disappointing meal. Year ago : We tried samosa chatt, garlic naan, paneer Tikka masala , paneer 65 and Malai kofta. Curries come with choice of butter naan or white rice. Every thing except Malai kofta tasted really good. Malai kofta gravy was very bland. Kofta was good. Great atmosphere and nice seating in two floors. Self service and lot of options to try.

We ordered mutton juicy Mandi and chicken fried Mandi. The mutton juicy Mandi were so good and the chicken fried Mandi okaish. I m not sure like whether they added food colour in the chicken fried Mandi or not, but I feel the colour after eating after washing, the hands is still on the hands. Mutton juicy Mandi is one where I am much appreciate your impressed. If you are taking that one, ask all pay for the extra gravy which it s worth

Horrible service. Had to wait for the food for 15-20 mins. Every time I asked when will I get the order the answer was standard. It will be 2 mins After I got tired of waiting I went up and asked to cancel the order and the food was ready in 2 mins. May be a coincidence but I dony think waiting for 15-20 mins for fast food is acceptable. May be they are so busy they dont care.

I recently tried the Mamsam pappucharu and it was a delightful experience. The ghee added a rich, buttery flavor that perfectly complemented the tangy papucharu. I suggest you to try this dish.

Phone ordered boneless madras chicken appetizer and boneless chicken curry with just medium spice (provided clear instructions not to add green chilli and low spice). I got quite the opposite with bone in chicken curry and an extra spice appetizer (not the one I ordered) with red pepper, and green chilli. Maybe whatever they have they will give instead of the actual order and instructions wont matter.

I had the worst Indian food delivered from this restaurant. I ordered chicken curry and half the container they deliver on was oil and food color, only oil and food color, I am not kidding. I recently visited Desi District in Frisco, Dallas during Labor Day and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered gongura mutton biryani, which I was excited to try. However, when my order arrived, it was chicken instead of mutton. This was not only incorrect but also very frustrating. The chicken was bland and lacked the flavor and spice I expected. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I have had, and I am very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and quality. I hope they improve their service and ensure customers get what they order.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Desi District in Eldorado Frisco. I ordered a two-piece chicken Mandi, but when I got home, I discovered they had only packed one piece of chicken with the Mandi rice. When I called the restaurant to address the mistake, the staff insisted they had packed everything correctly and were quite rude in their response. Their attitude was dismissive, and they refused to take responsibility for their error. To make matters worse, the food quality was far from acceptable. The rice was bland and lacked any flavor, making the entire meal a waste of money. I was thoroughly dissatisfied with both the service and the food. This experience was frustrating and left a very bad impression on me. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone who values good customer service and quality food.

Had a pretty solid experience at Desi District. We ordered the juicy chicken mandi and it was easily the best mandi Ive had outside of Dubai. The rice was the highlight and the chicken had a lot of flavor though it didnt have the same juiciness of authentic mandi. Food was absolutely a blast, we tried veggie mandis too. The atmosphere was cool but its a little chaotic when busy. Highly recommend!

Ordered the Paneer Tikka Rice Bowl for lunch and it came with plenty of food. I ordered via my works food app and it was delivered on time. The paneer was perfectly cooked. The sauce has a deep flavor profile and it contains the right amount of spice for me. if you mix the sauce, paneer, and rice together , you get the perfect combination of flavors. I highly recommend it and I will be eating here again.

Seriously an overrated location. Not enough parking to start with and Indians parking in handicap spots aswell. The way customers are handled is pathetic. We were not told about out of stock items. I ordered 3 samosas and they gave me 3 sets/orders of 3 samosas. I did not check the order since I was distracted. They said it would take 5 minutes but it took more like 25 minutes. I was in a rush so I tried to cancel the order but they kept saying 5 mins only. They seemed to be overwhelmed even though there werent a lot of people there. Mutton mandi is surprisingly good but more on the side of biryani than mandi due to the flavour of rice. The meat was not tender but the nut gravy on top was very excellent . In my mind I always compare mandi to the one I ate at 36 Mandi in Hyderabad . Quantity was decent. Ordered 5 items for pickup and they packed 4 items including naan in first 30mins and 5th item chicken kodivepudu took more than an hour. When I came to pickup the order they realized they are still pending 5th item and made me wait for another 20mins. By this time the naan was no good to eat. The items they packed initially were no good either. The hariyali chicken and tandoori chciken were too dry and we had to throw them them out. Probably they had these kababs in the warmers for all day which made them dry out and lose moisture from the meat. Not ordering food anymore from here. The girls in the front always seem to be confused and do poor service.

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the chicken mandi. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the experience. The portion size was very small, and the quality was poor. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED .. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY FOR UN WORTHY FOOD. My friends and I traveled from Denton to Plano specifically to experience good food in Desi District Frisco because of its reputation. We expected great food. Unfortunately, the reality didnt meet even 10% of our expectations. We ordered Cooker Pulav, Chicken Mandi Biryani, and a chicken appetizer. 1 Cooker Pulav: HIGHLY OVERRATED. Clearly Its look s like It was made by In-EXPERIENCED CHEF and had too much of oil . It lacked flavour and was served on a Silver tray instead of in a Pressure cooker as we had seen in ads. 2 Chicken Mandi: AVERAGE. The rice was lukewarm and didnt have toppings like cashews or raisins. The chicken Piece had a strange COLOUR from added FOOD COLOURING, which isnt good for Peoples HEALTH. The Juice which they gave look s like full of Food coloured, but had no taste. 3 Chicken Appetiser: BELOW AVERAGE. We ordered chicken Manchuria. It wasnt as good as we hoped. It seemed like they just poured tomato sauce over pre-cooked chicken Fry Pieces.

Highly not recommendable. The taste of Mandi is too bad and full of food colour. Having Cooker pulav is waste of money and it is full of water and oil. Food : 1/5

Yesterday when I ordered chicken item, the people who were serving are not even bothered to see the flies on the chicken. Be careful when u order and check the items while packing. It was not at all hygienic Food

The best part is the environment and Munth Masala!!! Gautam made the Munth Masala live based on our order. He was very attentive, made sure to ask how spicy I wanted, also had me taste the spice level while making it. Definitely going back for the Munth Masala again!

This is my hand after eating food here (washed hands) better to stay away from this place where food color exceeds the limits. Anything excess is toxic to health. I hope they change by seeing this review. Good part is Gobi Manchuria and burger is tasty.

I got a non-veg thali to-go from Desi District, and I was impressed with the variety of food provided for the price. The quantity was enough for two people. Moreover, the taste was excellent, especially the non-veg dishes. Even the veg curries were very flavorful. I also tried the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani here, and it never disappointed in taste. I highly recommend this restaurant to others.

I have ordered food from Desi District many times, but I had no complaints about the foods taste ever dine in or take out. Recently from past two times the food quality has not been good. Had ordered Paneer Chilli last to last time, it was tasteless just sauce. Yesterday had ordered Gobhi manchurian spicy and Tandoori Momos and Kathi rolls, Gobhi manchurian was way too salty and no taste of manchurian dishes. Momos were okay at best tandoori masala on the momos felt uncooked but yeah the Kathi rool both paneer and veggie were good. Gulab jamun has been consistent and was good as well. Overall Disappointed though.

I am very loyal to this location. I always get the chicken fried rice and when I say it is consistently good they hit the nail on the head every time. Now taste and flavor does very every so often but its always refreshing to have it a different way somebody cooks it. Its always good and Ive always enjoyed it. I made the mistake of ordering from a different desi district and was disappointed because this location set the bar so high. 10/10.
