I have been to other Landrys establishments and have always received stellar service. The experience we had at this particular Landrys was horrible. We had reservations but called to let them know we were a few minutes behind due to finding parking due to Riverwalk traffic. When we arrived, we were seated immediately but it went downhill after that. It took about 20 minutes before someone came to the table. We finally got our orders taken but it took literally an hour before our food was served.....no bread, NOTHING. Our waitress visits were sporadic during this time. When the food came out, part of the order was missing which meant that we had to wait yet again. Too add to the misery, my friend NEVER got the salad she ordered. I understand people make mistakes; however, getting this type of service from a top notch restaurant is highly unacceptable. We were in San Antonio for a mother-daughter trip and this experience definitely was not what we expected it to be.

I called in to pickup my order after I got off work but when I got there to pickup my order Bobby welcome me and made me feel very comfortable and relax. The food and drink was delicious. I was in San Antonio for a business trip and decided to dine at Landrys Seafood House, where I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Will. From the moment we sat down, Will went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He offered insightful recommendations from the menu that suited both my dietary needs and preferences, demonstrating his deep knowledge of the dishes and willingness to personalize the experience. I was there to dine late evening in this sweltering heat. I was greeted with a smile, pep In her step attitude, hello friends welcome and what may I get you today! Her drink suggestions were spot on and so were her food recommendations. We never had to ask for anything because it was already on our table or offered before hand. The food was great the Mahi was incredible and the oyster Rockefeller was delicious. Our server even took a picture of us! Thank you very much Ms. Elizabeth for making our experience even nicer with your kindness and efficiency. Landrys downtown Riverwalk still a great place to dine!

Our server Kevin was exceptional. The dishes he recommended were delicious . He was quick with making sure our glasses were full and always made sure we had everything we needed . Red fish was excellent portion topped with shrimp and scallops. The almond crusted Mahi needed to be slightly bigger in size maybe a 4-5 oz would have been better.. other than that it was a great dining experience..

Well, unfortunately they say that you will remember the bad experiences over the good ones in the restaurant world! So, its my 13th anniversary and we traveled from Arlington Tx to experience San Antonio with our two girls. I made reservations on Wednesday in order to make sure we would be attending this location. I hate to imply that servers are just there for the money but with 12 years experience I know that the job is more than just about tips! Our experience tonight was not a good one and will be one that will come up in conversations in the future. I voiced my concern to the manager which didnt really seem to care! Maybe it was me, or something else! I would hate to make it about that since San Antonio does have a large population of me! Ill end it with, they never did or said anything regarding our anniversary when we were done eating. Shame on you! We did request a different sever, it made things a bit better.

My friend and I arrived at Landrys at the Riverwalk and were greeted immediately. We were given a choice seating. We had Atlas as our server, and he was TREMENDOUS. Landrys in San Antonio is beautifully decorated and with a view of the Riverwalk. All of the staff were so personable and welcoming. Anthony was our waiter and he was a blessing, Not only did he make our dinner memorable, he made our trip to San Antonio memorable. We started with the Shrimp Enbrochette that was so tasty. I had the crawfish etouffee, that paired well with a glass of Chardonnay. My husband had the almond crusted Mahi. All were delicious . We highly recommend.

Horrible size of oysters. Went with my wife and have to say for $28 per dozen oysters it s definitely NOT worth it ! Getting the Rockefeller oysters was also horrible since it s basically all melted dried cheese. The ratio to cheese/ spinach was off since oysters is practically nothing. Word of advice, do NOT let these types of oysters go out to the consumer let alone cheat them out of $28 for that. Went 2 days later to another place Bayou Cajun in northern Texas and the picture says it all. It s the photo of oysters w/ the orange platter. I got a dozen oysters for $28 same price and well, yall can tell the difference from the photos. Landrys, please get it together and do NOT serve those ridiculous oysters even if they re Northern oysters.

While I cleaned an area of the house, I found gift cards to Landrys Seafood House which were gifted for Dad to enjoy. We headed there last Sunday to enjoy lunch. Dad had Lemonade, Hubby had the Arnold Palmer, and I had the Berry Faux-Jito. Dad started with the Lobster Bisque while Hubby and I had side salads. Dad and I shared the Almond Crusted Mahi Mahi. Hubby had the Crescent City Snapper. It was a great meal indeed. Just a fair warning that parking downtown is pricey.

We love Landrys. We always get great service and our favorite dish is the desert bananas foster. It is always delicious. I only gave it 4 stars because the one thing we dont like is they seem to always be changing their menu. Well find an appetizer or entree we like and then the next visit, it is no longer on the menu.

I m normally love going to Landry s especially for their oyster Rockefeller. Unfortunately this experience was pretty poor. I arrive at about lunch time11:30 on Monday June 10. Literally the only customers there which I find odd but maybe it s because it was a Monday? I order the Oyster Rockefeller right from the get go and drinks. Waiter goes to the kitchen and comes back and says they are out of the Rockefeller and suggested the grilled oysters. Kinda weird, they had grilled but no Rockefeller, but ok. We go with the grilled oysters and I ll say they were good, but really looked forward to the what I originally ordered. Manager later came to us and asked how was our visit, I expressed my disappointment and her response is that the Rockefeller mix was not prepared yet. How do you not prep for a lunch time, and it wasn t even busy. The entire visit I was there which was about an hour or more there was only one other couple that showed up. I think the service is probably reaching the customer and it s definitely starting to show in the foot traffic. This is not the type of service I expect from Landry s, I know they can do better and have done better in the past. They may need to start looking at changing things up to be prepared for lunch going forward.

I had decided to take my father to this location for a belated Father s Day celebration and the service was a tad on the slow side but the food and drinks more than made up for it. The Happy Hour appetizers were so delicious. The bacon cheeseburger sliders, mini crab cakes, crawfish toast/bruschetta/canapé whatever it was, it was delicious too. Plus the fried seafood platter was very generous and the loaded mashed potatoes were very good but they should have been served a tad more hotter. The raspberry lemon drop martini and mango mojito were the bomb dot com amazing. Erica/Erika our bartender/waitress/server did a really nice job. 8.5 out of ten stars.

Ok... i visited around 8pm on Saturday June 15th... so i gave them a 3 for several reasons. I actually wanted to give them a 2 but let me explain. I am a samon connoisseur and their samon was horrible. It was not cooked properly and i didnt eat a sinlge thing on the plate after the first bite. The samon was mushy, fishy and disgusting BOTH TIMES. Everything on the plate had an overly fishy flavor that you should only experience at a cheap place, not while fine dinning. I didnt ask for my money back cause i just dont do that. The manager (young lady) was overly friendly and obviously patronizing me as i voiced my concerns. My waiter was super friendly when he was present, but thats the problem, i NEVER saw him after my order was taken until it was time to give me my ticket. I spent alot of money and woulda been very unhappy if it hadnt been for the saving grace, which is why i gave them a 3 instead of a 1. The Chicken Francesca, it was AMAZING. the best dish i have had in a long time. They nailed it with complete perfection. If you go there, order it, you will be more than happy!!!

Whether its for a romantic moment, a celebratory event or just a standard dinner with friends and family, Landrys is perfect for hosting the occasion and making it even grander for more than just shared memories! Simple, elegant and bold; the black and white palette with the accented warm natural tones makes the space feel very pleasant and welcoming without being too overbearing and the white tones of the table reflect the light so it seems as though theres a soft glow in the building. Its well - lit and compliments the space well with very neutral lighting leaning closer to the warm side. Its quite active and bustling but everything feels like a steady flow and very serene despite constant movement of staff and the customers going in and out especially to be located in an area thats right on the riverwalk. The inside was also pristine and everything was kept cleaned during our entire stay both inside and out. There sometimes will be a wait as it is a popular attraction (especially during tourist season) so it can feel a bit odd and feel as though youre standing in the way yet it still manages to not feel overcrowded or cramped. Seating is also well spaced so it doesnt feel as though youre sitting right on top of one another but it isnt so spaced out that everyone feels distant from one another and it allows comfortable room to maneuver about for everyone! NOTE: Its highly recommended to reserve a table to shorten the wait time (in our experience we didnt have too much of a long wait). To keep it pretty simple: the food was fantastic. The flavor profile was consistent and perfectly applied to every appetizer and main course. The smells of the food were amazing and really set up as a lovely preview for the dishes and the presentation was a work of art; each dish reflected the effort and talent that went into creating them and was an honor to receive. Some of the foods that were our favorites would be the oyster rockefellers and the sea bass madrid. The berry faux - jito is also a favorite mocktail of mine so far but all of them are quite beautiful and taste amazing. Unfortunately we didnt have enough room for dessert despite sharing many of the dishes but the banana foster was easily sold out and seemed to be a favorite among the tables so Im sure its one of the top picks if youre ever looking to satisfy a sweet tooth! The staff were very respectful and polite but our greatest experience came from the waiting staff the most. Our main waiter Bobby was a delight and our night was filled with an aura of compassion, ease and authenticity. He was a very personable person and managed to bring joy and smiles to everyone that he interacted with which is something I always appreciate especially in spaces such as these. His service was not only quick and accurate but attentive and cheerful; making an effort to remember names, orders and various menu items from the top of his head in the blink of an eye. The waiting staff felt more than skilled individuals seeking to fulfill their roles but also genuine people wanting to bring laughter, fellowship and ease to really make for a cherishable experience with each patron. Although a little on the pricey side its well worth it not only for the food but the experience that it brings. Whether your adventurous at heart or just wanting to find a place that brings people together then look no further as this is the perfect place to go to foster the energy and experience youre looking for.

Arrived to pick up a to-go order, was told it would take 7-10 mintues by a manger because they werent aware of the order and hadnt even started it yet. It took over 30 minutes to get the order, I was standing there being ignored by 3 different servers while I continually waited, when my order finally came out I was understandably upset and the short bald server that gave me my order couldnt even hand it to me. He took an attitude and told me Its right there. and just walked away after setting it on the bar counter towards the back where the servers were making drinks. Check out Landrys for good and fresh seafood on the San Antonio Riverwalk. The Ora king salmon was fresh and on top of a delicious bed of couscous. I would highly recommend the seared Ora king salmon and asparagus couscous. Food I ordered their house specialty seared Ora king salmon and asparagus couscous and would get it again since it was so good. The salmon is fresh and cooked very nicely without being too salty. I ve never had couscous before, but the way Landrys prepared it has made me a fan of this tiny noodle. The vegetables are perfectly infused into the couscous and complement the salmon and bread nicely. The presentation of the dish was spot on. Atmosphere This is a nicer upscale restaurant on the Riverwalk and is great for a formal vibe. That said, I was still able to come in with a T-shirt but a button up would have been more appropriate. The interior is clean and well decorated. The noise level is pretty loud though and I could hear the next table overs conversation. Pricing Prices are reasonable for the seafood and is what I would expect to pay for fresh food that is well prepared. Service The staff and servers were nice. I went on a Friday night and the food came out quickly. The servers stopped by multiple times to make sure everything was alright. Other The entrance can be found up some stairs from the Riverwalk. Be on the lookout for the sign hanging above the door. No parking that I saw since it is located along the river.

I had dinner here with for my sisters birthday. We originally had plans at another restaurant but changed after a hankering for steak came upon her. In a quick scramble to find a place we ended on Landrys seafood house. The Riverwalk has yet to impress with their food or ambiance but Landrys knocked it out of the park. Our server Damon had fantastic suggestions from the crawfish toast to steaks and lobsters. The steaks were so tender and juicy, one of the best steaks I have had. We came to Landrys on the last night of our stay in San Antonio. Our waiter Dee was phenominal, he was very knowledgeable about the menu and the nearby places for live music. The food was fantastic as expected and even after I was full I found myself continuing to eat. I had the pan seared Ahi with crab, shrimp, and scallops. It came with fresh asparagus and a pilaf that was amazing. There are a lot of options here on the river walk, this was the right choice. Weve been here for the last 4 days and hands down was the best meal of our stay. I would say I recommend them but if youve read this far you already know I would without hesitation. The restaurant is not easily accessible for hcap scooters . We almost left & then one of the cooks, Jonathan A, heard us trying to figure out access bc every door had stairs! OMG he jumped in and got us through the correct door w access to 1 of 2 elevators that you needed to use to get to the dining area. He moved chairs & tables so that I could navigate into the small hcap lifts. He was so polite & considerate considering that other employees had no interest in helping us! When we got to the dining floor, a waiter greeted us & assured us that he had a table all waiting for us! Jonathan continued to check on us during our meal to make sure that our food was cooked to perfection! What a difference it makes to have great staff ..! Thanks for going the extra mile for us! Wheelchair accessibility: The 2 wheel chair lifts were more like dumb waiters. very narrow w tables/chairs blocking the entry. Diners had to physically move to allow us access to even get in and out.

We were in town this weekend for the first time in about 10 years. We made a reservation ahead of time because I remember it being generally busy and we wanted to make sure we could get in on a Saturday night after a long drive. I wanted to visit Landry s as I remembered it being a staple for good seafood over the years. Unfortunately, the experience was not what I remembered. For a Saturday evening at 7:30, the restaurant wasn t very busy, but somehow remained rather loud. We ordered the peach old fashioned and peach sangria. Sangria was the best part of the evening! It was light fruity and refreshing. We had the poblano and crab fondue for an appetizer which was basically queso with a touch of crab. It was fine, but nothing special. It would ve been nice to have more bread with it and fewer chips, which might have also elevated the dish. We ordered the chef recommended snapper americana and shrimp enbrochette. The snapper was a bit over cooked and it was pretty bland without any cream sauce. The shrimp were fine. We had hoped to try the blueberry butter cake but weren t given an option for dessert. It seemed as though our server had been cut and was ready to go home as we didn t see him often despite the restaurant being relatively empty. My partner used the bathroom before we left and walked in to some poor gentleman sitting in a dark bathroom as an employee had apparently turned off the lights on them while they were in a stall, followed by 3-4 male servers conversing in bathroom exchanging money and discussing alcohol or others purchases they would be making after work. Ultimately, food was just okay, service was lacking and unprofessional, disappointed in a meal I had been very excited about. My nostalgia will lead me to try again in the future, just hoping this was an off night.

I have never written a review about any restaurant but our experience at Landrys is unfortunately one I cannot ignore. Came to San Antonio for vacation and stayed along the Riverwalk with family. Landrys was highly recommended by hotel staff so we decided to give it a try. My husband and I arrived on a busy Saturday night around 830pm. We asked the hostess if reservations were required to sit in or outside along the Riverwalk. She was rather focused on coloring a picture of a leaf using a green crayon (yes, you read that correctly) - should have immediately bolted for the door after that, hindsight is 20/20 . The hostess stated that reservations were not required for either but it would be about a 20 minute wait to be seated outside. We asked her if it was ok for us to head upstairs to the bar and wait there which she acknowledged that was fine. We asked her if she needed our last name but stated that wasnt required and she would come find us when a table opens up. Ok, cool, we get to chill at a bar listening to an amazing live band while waiting. Now, the upstairs bar and live band was Epic (they get 5 stars and an A++++++). After about an hour, my husband went downstairs and spoke to another hostess. She was confused why our name was not on a list. He explained the situation - she then told him to come back downstairs so we could be seated. We paid for our drinks at the bar and headed back to the main level and the green crayon hostess was back at the seating area. She explained that she had forgotten all about us and said to go outside where the hostess there would immediately seat us - it was very odd that indoor hostess didnt come out with us to explain the situation. We went outside to the hostess there and she asked if we had a reservation. Told her we didnt but were instructed to see her so she could sit us at a table - it was getting closer to 10pm. The hostess outside seemed very annoyed and dismissive about that (again, if we were told at the BEGINNING we needed a reservation, we would have completely understood and gone somewhere else). She sat us in a corner next to the building away from any of the other tables that were located by the Riverwalk. Note: Most of the tables along the river were completely empty. Our table was under an extremely bright street light. To top it off, the table we sat at wobbled like crazy every time we touched it. Since it was getting late, we asked if it would be possible to order online and go. Hostess told us the only way was for us to go back upstairs and place the order there ourselves. We then asked was if there was any way they could expedite our order since we had been waiting for hours to eat (and I wanted to order food for my parents who just arrived at the hotel). We were told it was not and there was nothing they could do. The message was crystal clear, no one was interested or had any intention in helping us, and we left immediately after that realizing getting any food or service there was a complete lost cause. On the way back, we stopped at a CVS that was still open and got several premade sandwiches for me, my husband and parents. By the end of the night, CVS gave us far superior food (since we were actually able to EAT something) and service than Landrys, and thats saying something. Never, ever again.....

Came here for an anniversary dinner. It was Sunday night around 9pm. No wait, we sat immediately and everyone who spoke to us was kind and attentive. Our waitress was Aliana, I think that was her name at least. She did great. The food itself was lacking in flavor, we got crawfish etoufee. Crawfish wasnt seasoned, the etoufee was orange and very bell-peppery. Not rich in flavor. I d have to give it a 3/10. We also got a classic margarita 6/10, and a berry faux-ita 8/10. My partner and I visted this restaurant for our monthiversary and we had an AMAZING time. William and Joshua were our servers and handled us with so much professionalism and care. William was actually training Joshua at the time. He was an excellent mentor and very encouraging to Joshua who himself was doing such a great job. My partner tried oysters for the first time (chargrilled) and LOVED them. The manager, Candice stopped by to help with our dessert options and we went with the seasonal blueberry cake which was the best thing I ve tasted in months. Literally dreaming about that dessert still. Everyone was so nice and sweet, even when I asked to move tables when we first came in because another table was making me feel uncomfortable. A bit disappointed. Beer took 10 minutes to arrive. They were completely out of oysters, so I ordered the calamari, which was overcooked. The orzo in the broiled seafood platter had strong, bitter aftertaste, and the piece of bread was rock hard. It was slow on Good Friday. They told me no happy hour because it was a holiday. Was here for work and sat at the bar solo It was slow and the bartenders forgot about me on multiple occasions. I ordered a drink and 5 minutes later they were chatting each other up and not pouring my drink. Saw one bartender drop a lid from the cherries on the floor and then pick it back up and screw it back on. Ordered the special sea bass Del Mar. for 61.00. I got no bread and it took 20 minutes for the food to show up. It was a very small portion (sea pic). For that price point you expect exceptional food and service. Didn t get either. I left with a 100+ tab and an empty stomach.

Then another 20 to 30 minutes and the fish came out, which had no almond crust and may have even been a different fish. We asked for some bread twice, the waiters said it would be out shortly..never got it. We were outside on the river. The people inside wearing suits were attended to constantly. Overall my party felt uncared about. They tried to make up for it by comping the fish and giving us more beer and wine that we didnt ask for. If you do go there and they come back and ask what you ordered 15 minutes after you ordered it, might as well leave then. Thats a red flag they got problems. They made an excuse of our computers not working or we work all three floors its really hard. I get it that its a difficult set up to manage on 3 levels, but the experience wasnt good.

We live getting grilled oysters when we travel and that is what drew us to this spot. We paid $25 for 6 oysters that had MAYBE 2 full oysters between them. Tasty but over priced . To much upselling at the table . Between some sought of memebership and courses . Too overwhelming just wanted sit and eat in peace.

Dinner was excellent. We enjoyed the seafood tower and some gumbo. My wife had the Hemingway snapper, and I had the crescent city snapper. Both were great with a bottle of 8 Years in the Desert. Atlas was our server and he was an amazing server. It was a great experience. Had bananas foster for desert. Also excellent. Great evening out!

Chose Landrys on the Riverwalk for the location and the reviews. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere inside is great, the food is delicious, and our server, William was top notch. I highly recommend asking for him when you arrive.
