Lived here for a couple of years and absolutely loved it! The staff was always super kind, helpful, and friendly. The resident events were great, and I appreciated the frequent email updates. The guest parking situation isn t ideal, but kind of what you expect being so close to campus. Highly recommend staying here if you re an engineer or frequent north campus!

I had a tour of the stack a few months ago and I was really impressed with everything that it had to offer. I was shown the model room, the pool, the gym, and the lounge. All of these amenities with a good distance from Zach as well and overall good cleanliness, this is one of the best apartments I had a tour of. Special thanks to Doan-Nhi for the tour. I had a lot of questions and she was able to answer them with ease. I felt like I was already a resident and a friend which significantly improved my touring experience.

Adding to the list on negative reviews here, I am another victim of predatory towing by Stack (owned by Culpepper Realty) and the towing company involved (cost me over $350). Culpepper and the towing people are the real scumbags. While hard working people earn their money, these lowlives essentially steal using this scam. I am not a student, but my anger boils reading these reviews how students here (often working part-time jobs to support their studies) are victims of this theft. Wouldnt a ticket suffice? Whats even more laughable is that this parking lot is 95% empty most of the time. The towing warning signs are intentionally placed so that people especially in a hurry wont easily notice. The uber driver taking me to the towing yard shared my anger says that she drives several people a week (often students) over there from this parking lot to pick up their cars. Here are my next steps: 1) Filing a complaint to the BBB and the Texas Attorney Generals Office 2) Finding out others who have been towed and asking them to file a complaint as well to the above agencies. 3) Consulting with my lawyer about possibly suing this company (Culpepper Realty). From our initial conversations, any collusion with the towing company involving direct or indirect monetary interest is a state parking facility violation (Statute 2308). We are coming after you. Not sure if I should direct my anger to the towing company (Excel Towing), as the people working there look like they read using their fingers to help them. Here is what YOU should do: 1) If you are thinking of renting here, DO NOT. Why support a business whose practices are predatory and even unethical towards your fellow students and community members? Why support a business who makes money hurting people (rather than helping)? 2) Tell your friends not to support these clowns at Culpepper and running Stack.

Ive had no issues with this place for the year Ive been here. The location is very convenient because many of my classes are in the Zachary building. Despite being small, the gym has everything I need and is open whenever I want to use it. As for other amenities, I cant say much because I like staying in my room. With that being said, I can definitely attest to the good internet as I tend to play video games a lot. The people at the front desk are also very nice and have answers to any questions I have. Doan-Nhi has helped me a few times for the work orders I needed, and they were completed in a timely manner. One thing I like is that you cant get locked out of your apartment on accident because it wont automatically lock when you close the door like other apartments.

I had to come here to give a 1 star review because Im another victim of towing among many other victims. $300+ was gone in 1H! Stack made rip off contract with A1 Towing to make money out of everybody who parked at their parking lot who wasnt aware they should not park there. For victims, our best chances is to complain on BBB and make these companies to go out of business and protect further victims. Such company should not exist in the market. Make review on Google wont hurt them. But BBB and general councils would. We want our right back, so lets do in a more effective way. The Stack had a huge parking lot and mostly empty during weekday, so its very large, its easy for people to park there and find restaurants. They use this to make money out of innocent people. They made contract with A1 Towing. A1 towing put a full time job spotter on the parking lot to tow your car as soon as you are off the car and across the street. This is horrible. Regardless this parking lot is owned by Stack, making money in such an unetichsl way is not acceptable. Please either put a fence on your parking lot to make it obvious or refund all us money.

This is my second year of living at The Stack but I am strongly reconsidering living here again. While there are a number of good things about this complex - good staff and management, nice pool area, included wifi - there is a continued increased in cost with no added value. On the contrary, each year the amenities become more worn and unusable, the rooms become more damaged, and maintenance becomes worse. The hot tub has been unusable almost the whole 2 years I ve lived here, the gym has limited and broken equipment, and the halls reek from poor ventilation. Meanwhile, to add on to the aggressive towing - parking is now an extra $25 a month, rent has gone up even for returning occupants, and there will be an electric utility cost this next year which includes costs generated by the building and other occupants. Overall, the quality is going down while prices continue to rise - keep this in mind before you consider living here.

Overall, The Stack is a great place to live. The staff are friendly and helpful, maintenance is always quick to get work done, and the location is amazing for TAMU students, especially engineering majors. I really enjoyed the convenience of having a trash chute right down the hall and being walking distance from both campus and the Northgate district. The only downsides I experienced were: the walk from your car to your apartment can be pretty long if you dont get garage parking, the garage elevator was out of order occasionally, and hosting visitors is a pain due to the strict parking situation and the smaller size of the apartment. However, these issues were generally small annoyances. I ultimately only moved out because I needed a 6-month lease, and The Stack switched to full-year leases only. I recommend this apartment for any engineering undergrad looking for a great location close to both school and recreation.

Sharing as 5-star so this doesn t get taken down. The front desk has returned my packages to the sender three times and offered no help in recovering them. The chain behind the toilet handle in my bathroom snapped off and maintenance affixed the remaining half to an incorrect part, causing my toilet to run nonstop. I ve been here for a couple weeks this summer to take a class and the garage elevator has only worked twice. During a brief power outage, the garage elevator was in free fall for a moment with my brother inside. There has been a urine stain in the hallway outside my unit for months which no one has come to clean. I turned on the heater once over the winter and it set off the smoke alarm in my unit. The printer has not worked almost the entire time I ve lived here. The heater for the hot tub has been broken since November 2021, it is June 2022 as I write this. I ve been given two noise complaints for having a normal conversation on the pool deck. The carpet in the hallways has obviously never been cleaned. There are stains everywhere and it is so dirty that I have to sweep my floors after leaving the apartment just 2 or 3 times. I live many rooms away from the elevator and still hear every time someone uses it. Instead of repainting the parking lines in the garage, the old paint was power washed over. Although a food/vomit stain from months ago was just nearby, they neglected to wash this. In the stairwell, clusters of dead bugs, dust and cobwebs also remain untouched. I ve lived at The Stack for almost a year and deeply regret resigning my lease.

My boys have been staying at this apartment going on 4 years. Since Harlan has been the Property Manager, we have had no issues with courtesy, communication, and responsiveness. The maintenance crew have been quick in providing closure and have been satisfied with their work. My sons park in the garage so not unexpected that they would not be towed. However, I frequently come up during the weekends and never have I had my vehicle towed with the visitor pass. Never seen any roaches, rodents, or bedbugs. My boys do keep their place clean, trash removed, dishes washed, etc. At initial move-in, the place did require a good scrubbing and steam cleaning which we expected coming in knowing it had previously been lived in by prior students. One tenant was way messier than the other tenant. LOL! My boys mentioned the place is fairly quiet but they do live on the top floor. No issues with internet service, water, HVAC, and electricity. Microwave did go out one evening but was replaced the following day. Overall been satisfied the past few years and our renewal price have been great and stable considering the normal asking price around that prime location.

My friend who lives there got towed because she accidently left her visitor pass infront of her parking pass while walking to the university. There are some clever ways to park and not get towed here though ;). Their tap water got so many people sick as well. There are lots of things I loved about living here, but a few crucial things that should be improved. I have never had any serious issues with my unit, it was clean, in good shape, and they met all my location requests when I first moved in. I love the maintainence team and front desk people, all super sweet, quick to help and friendly. The rooms/apartments are small and overpriced but thats expected with the proximity to campus. BUT the management team OMG, the most unprofessional and inefficient people i have ever encountered and they aren t even nice about it. If you have problem that needs to be addressed by the management you better count your losses because slim chance they will actually take care of it for you or even respond to your emails or calls. This is annoying because this should be the most helpful and put together part of the staff, but it is far from. They are terrible about communicating and getting back with you, they do not answer questions clearly, and they try to make everything your problem. Jackie was okay and at least has a good temperament but ever interaction I had with Leslie was bad, she is rude, demeaning, and always left me feeling unheard and blamed. I almost went to the corporate office with my issues because I felt that would have been more efficient and worth my time, even though all the issues I ever had were internal mistakes and they were never worked out for me in a timely manner. It is a shame the management is run this way because or else they would have an outstanding team of people and a smoothly ran facility.

The staff is unwilling to accommodate even the simplest needs such as getting a package for you on a Sunday, even though many of them live on site. This is the only honest review youll see about this place, as many of the negative ratings have been taken down. The rooms are small and offer no functionality. You dont even get a closet. If youre moving in, chances are, your room and apartment have NOT been cleaned prior to your arrival. This place does NOT fill up (they will tell you that spots are limited, but its really just a tactic to get you to close on the deal). The rent here is not cheap and the amenities such as the pool/gym are often closed for maintenance. A lot of the windows arent fitted properly so there will be water damage in most of the rooms. The five star reviews here are from people who work at the stack.

The room its self is OK. Couches and chairs have been completely destroyed and they only replaced the chairs after a year of me living here and said that they can do nothing about the couch which is an absolute eye sore. There were cockroaches all over my apartment when I moved in and had to get stuff to kill them myself. The management is not helpful and doesnt care about customer service in any way. They will TOW YOUR GUESTS even with a parking pass and not care because they get a cut of the towing fee. I couldnt get a response from the building manager for two weeks, after she said she would reach out to me, and all I received was a one line email after prompting her about her unresponsiveness. I will not be renewing and this place is not worth the monthly rent. You will be happier elsewhere.

Pros: proximity to campus, kind maintenance guys Cons: paper-thin walls, unprofessional front desk staff and management, damaged couch upon move in (replacement denied), dirty apartment upon move in, full parking lot during weekend nights and game days (even though they say they tow) BBQ sauce was on counters and floors, a moldy glass of milk was in the dishwasher, and hair covered the floors when I moved in. I told the front desk and all they offered was the maintenance guy to vacuum the floors. The walls are also super thin. I could hear my roommate sniffle while both of our doors were closed and full conversations in the apartment next door. They replace the common area furniture (which seems to be barely used) every year, but resident furniture is torn to shreds and hasnt been replaced. Do not recommend it unless you re desperate for a 5 min walk to campus.

They care more about signing leases than retaining residents. The common area furniture on show to guests seems to be replaced annually while the rooms given to residents are falling apart. Every person I ever spoke to living there had issues with cockroaches, and when my roommates and I took it up with maintenance, we were told The only way you can have cockroaches is if you brought them in yourself. They were very reluctant to call in an exterminator for us, and it took multiple requests. Every shower I have seen in The Stack has cracking grout and is full of mold, even as they present them to new residents upon move in. If you want to live that close to campus, just live in the dorms, otherwise go live somewhere where the landlords care about their tenants.

Ive lived at The Stack since Fall 2015 and had a wonderful experience living here. Below are the details: Pros: 1. GREAT location. Youre within a 5-10 minute walk of ETB, Zachry, Blocker, and many other buildings on campus so its very easy to get to class. Youre within walking distance of Subway, Taco Bell, Chipotle, and McDonalds. Across College Avenue, you can walk to Mos Irish Pub, Piada, Blaze Pizza, and a bunch of other places for great food. You can also walk to Cinema Grill to watch movies. 2. The maintenance crew here is AWESOME. Anytime I had problems in the apartment, maintenance was able to come and fix it by the next day. In the years that I lived at the Stack, I had a leak above my ceiling in the shower, a problem with my shower head and toilet, and a shaky fan, all that were fixed by maintenance the next day from when I reported the issue. 3. The amenities and cleanliness are VERY good. The 2nd floor pool area and lounge area are really nice with the pool table, kitchen, TV, and all the other great stuff in there. The Stack hosts great events in this area on a monthly basis (I really enjoyed watching Mayweather-McGregor in the lounge with other residents 2 years ago). In your apartment room, the bathrooms are really well maintained. The kitchen and living room were always spotless when I lived here. Refrigerator had plenty of space. Windows always worked. The mattress was comfortable. The tables were really good too, especially in my room. I was able to fit a 32 inch flatscreen TV and a laptop on the table in my room. I had an XBOX connected to my TV and I kept it and all its wires underneath the table. On the side I kept an Outlet surge for all my other electronic devices (phone, tablet, charger). Overall, my room was pretty well organized despite all the wires I had around. Space was not an issue. You can put suitcases and storage boxes underneath your bed to save space. The wood on the table is great too because my laptop tends to heat up a lot while I work on it so when Id turn it off and go to sleep, I would wake up the next morning and my laptop would be cold and ready for use again. Kind of a weird detail I know but this really helped me maintain my BYOD device for 4 years. Air conditioning always worked great while I stayed here. 4. The staff are very open to communication. If you have any questions about packages coming in, your lease, parking, anything really they are willing speak with you and get it figured out. Kendall and the staff do a fantastic job of this. 5. You get over 60 different channels for your TV. It was convenient to have channels like TNT, ESPN, NBC, FX, FOX, etc. provided by The Stack. Make sure to get a Coaxial cable of decent length so that it can connect to your TV from one of the outlets in the room. 6. They handle packages very well. I ordered a lot of stuff off of Amazon and The Stack always handled the items with great care. Cons: 1. The only thing keeping me from giving The Stack a 5 star rating is the internet. It is EXTREMELY unpredictable. I would say about 80% of the time it will work great and youll be able to get your online homework done. There have been times though in the past when Id have something due at midnight and I could not work on it that evening because I couldnt load any web pages on The Stack Wi-Fi. When that happened, I would just go to the Blocker Lab on campus and get it done but it is a hassle to do this more than a few times a semester. 2. This will only apply if you live on the Northeast part of the building. The noise on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from Harrys is annoying. I did not enjoy being awoken from my slumber at 2 in the morning because of screaming drunken college students next door. Theres also a bunch of macho weirdos over there who think its okay to rev the engines of their motorcycles AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE in the middle of the night while people are trying to sleep. You will probably have to get ear plugs for this. Overall, I had an excellent experience living here. Would highly recommend.

Lived here for 3 months. The internet was very good the first two months; however, the internet the past month has been completely unacceptable. If I cannot do my online homework at night in a college apartment, you need to fix it immediately. This is not a one time occurrence which I can forgive. No, this is several times a week for a month. The rent is exorbitantly high. Internet shouldnt be an issue. Everything else is pretty good. Edit: havent had any issues since review. Will update my review steadily overtime.

The staff downstairs is unfriendly and they cant answer anyones questions accurately. While the location is nice, it is not worth the cost at all. I would not suggest moving into this complex.

I havent had the blessing of living at The Stack, but I have been able to work here for the past year. Location is AWESOME! Since I am staff, I can walk to class between shifts, or NG after hours and its a lifesaver!

I lived here in a 1bed/1bath for a year. Could NOT wait to move out forever. Their location is next door to a concert venue that plays until 2am (My walls would shake from the bass). The performance is then accompanied by guys with jacked up trucks revving/doing donuts and drunk girls screaming until about 3:30am. Add in the thin walls/loud residents, and youll probably never sleep again. The room was fantastic, never had a bug. Good luck finding parking. Many people illegally park in the open lot and go to class, or if you leave on a Friday after office hours good luck. They dont tow outside of office hours, and everyone going to Harrys/NG park there.

The Stack is the perfect place to live in College Station. The location is perfect just across the University and walking distance to the bar district. The rooms are clean and spacious people are friendly and the staff is very nice. I highly recommended this residence !

I have lived there for two months. The apartment was clean, and it was close to the campus. People at the front desk were so nice and friendly and were responsive when you needed their assistance. The maintenance was good too; they would fix a problem in a short time.

If youre considering the Stack at legacy point, its a great location but NOT WORTH THE COST. You have to pay for an entire month you dont even live there! They explain this is because you pay the same cost for every month you live there. But you move in halfway through August and you have to move out about halfway through May! Paying the whole month each time! That means youre getting to pay for an entire month of NOT EVEN LIVING THERE- and the rent is too high to begin with. Youre so much better off renting somewhere else and saving money for college books, classes, etc. Also my experience personally after living here for a year and moving out was terrible. There was mold in our toilets upon move-in. I wrote this off as being a bathroom thing, but I started getting sick with constant infections soon afterward. In addition, the mold in the toilets grew back constantly and then mold would grow in the sinks and in the windows- not just a little bit which is totally typical, but A LOT of mold. But still I wrote it off as just being a bathroom thing and the windows just being moisture related. Apparently our windows LEAKED like crazy when it rained and as time passed we noticed water damage spreading under the windows. These cracks were also filled with mold. I realized too late that the leaking windows were the cause all of the mold in our apartment. It was in the wall all along because of the leaky windows! I also realized after making this connection late in my leasing period that it was very likely what caused all of my infections. I did email the stack about this including pictures and documentation, but did not receive any notice afterward. In addition they are sneaky with their charges upon move-out. They send you a check for your security deposit with deductions already taken out and no documentation for what these deductions are for. Upon calling them, they told me I was charged $36 for the toilet seat needing replaced. I HAD an RA walk through and SIGN off that I had no damages in my bathroom. Upon asking why I was being charged for a toilet seat that was not broken, I was told I was charged because the paint on the seat was chipped so it had to be replaced. I asked why it was my responsibility to pay for a new seat under these circumstances and was told that I needed to email management to protest the charge. Again, upon emailing the stack I received no response. Even without the mold issues, being charged for a month I wasnt living there and being charged for something that was obviously not my fault WITHOUT TELLING ME is reason enough for me to recommend not living here.

Couldnt ask for a better place to live. If youre willing to pay the higher rent, youll get all you paid for. The front desk staff are always helpful, the maintenance staff are on top of things and keep the whole place running smoothly and cleanly. The rooms are top-notch. While I thought they may be fancy looking on the outside but still shoddy underneath before I moved in, I can say now after having lived here a whole year that the rooms are actually built very well, with many little well thought out details. In my experience the rooms are very quiet, only occasionally interrupted by loud people in the pool area (I have a pool-side facing window) since the sound echoes and the windows arent quite thick enough to fend off the sound. Besides all that, the amenities are fantastic, with a heated pool and hot tub, a full entertainment area on the second floor, a strangely sound-absorbing garage, and an all-around nice feeling - with regular cleaning and large windows, the stairwells are even nice!

Everything is good, except the Stack does not have quiet hour policy like other apartments in the swimming pool area. Thus, you might easily hear people playing or talking loudly in the hot tub or swimming pool area after midnight when you go to bed......especially during weekends or holidays.

Really great place to stay. Comes with a lot of really cool features and the staff is just awesome. My car broke down three times this school year. Twice, some staff members stayed past their shift to ensure that my car was working well and wouldnt break down if I travelled. Loved having my own bathroom and bedroom. The roommate matching survey works well, because I got a wonderful roommate. The apartment complex also has little parties for different occasions every now and then.

Rooms are nice. Bathroom fan is always on when the light is on, so thats annoying. Maintenance rarely ever completes a submitted request so you either have to do it yourself or track them down on your own.

The Stack is an amazing place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Whitley she can help you with apartment ideas and just about anything that you may need. I love the location, it literally takes 5 minutes to get to campus. If youre looking for a place to live I would definitely recommend staying at The Stack. :)
