Walked in and there were only about 5 tables with people at them. Took 10 minutes to get menus. Our appetizer came out with our food. We got the crab boil and it was cold, we didn t even eat half of it because we couldn t get the meat out, since it was cold. After our original server finally took our order, we never saw her again, and had about 4 other servers help us. My husband got the blackened chicken tacos, recommended by first server, it was mostly lettuce and only a few tiny pieces of very under seasoned chicken on it. Fried pickles were great.

I dont need much in life, and for a simple midday lunch with a friend, Smitty Ks Tuesday BOGO was perfect for the budget -- but what a surprise at the quality! Delicious burger basket with tasty beef patty, crisp, fresh, generous lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and that jalapeno bun -- wow! Fries? Not run of the mill...these were perfectly prepared with enough crisp and flavor to make them memorable. Off the beaten path, large outdoor, covered patio, this is my new place to go when I want a burger fix with a colleague. Looks like a nice place to get together with families, to boot! Kid-friendliness: Big outdoor activity space for kids to run around while adults lounge and enjoy a beer.

This was our first time at this establishment, and the atmosphere was fun, it reminded of sitting on the front porch sipping whiskey and having a laugh. The staff was super friendly and approached our table with a smile, warm greeting and was quick to crack a joke. The service was great, the food was pretty good too, I had the blackened chicken tacos they were tasty, my son got the club sandwich, and stated that is was one of the best hes had. All in all this was a cozy bar and kitchen with outdoor room to sit, and they are also pet friendly. I would definitely recommend, and cant wait to get back there!

Not sure what happened but the food quality used to be alot better. The catfish tasted weird and very bland. Another person at our table used to get the smoked turkey plate but suggested to not get that since last time they got it, the taste wasnt the same. We went Friday and although not busy, took a long time to get our order. This was our goto place for good food and cold beer but cant say that now. You may like the food but it has changed way to much for us.

*Update: Having to change my 5 star review to 2 stars after change of ownership. Pork chops well overcooked and dry, bland canned green beans. However, the side salad is now bigger. New owner does not allow dogs inside anymore. Disappointing, because the dog friendliness and delicious food of previous owner were my reasons to stop by on Sundays.

Have only been here a couple of times. Food is usually good. I remember the Mac and cheese being better the last time I was here but the chicken sandwich was really good. I would suggest to make it a little thinner but I really enjoyed it. Waitress seemed inexperienced or maybe didn t care but was still pleasant. I would come back for the food and reasonable prices.

This place has gotten very run down. Many of the lights outside on the patio were out. The outdoor games were broken and missing pieces. The food was terrible! The sweet potato waffle fries were raw and burnt at the same time. The chicken fried steak was pitiful, and everything was cold. The waitress asked if we wanted gravy on the Mashed Potatoes, yeah, does that mean you dont get it on the steak? Well, I guess so because thats what happened :( I didnt take pictures of the rest, but all was bad. Do not order the sausage and cheese tray, major disappointment. They serve it with American slice cheese and Saltine Crackers, OH, and they were out of those :( The drinks were very weak and not any better. I was so disappointed in this place which made me sad for a local place. Oh, and please fix the entrance. There is a major crater of a pot hole when you pull in off the highway.

Delicious food. But owner? manager was not appreciative of our large motorcycle group showing up unannounced or without reservations. They were having a fundraiser and short a cook when our group arrived. I walked inside and heard him telling patrons and staff really negative things about us and cussing us out. When confronted he completely changed his attitude. The group never witnessed any of this. I promised a five star review because the food was so good. But, I wouldn t go back knowing how he truly feels.

Owner came to our table to inform us that they were having a catered event, so were going to have to wait longer for our food. We tried to make a reservation, but were told we couldnt because they dont accept reservations. Owner was at the bar drinking and smoking. Poor practice for an owner, lousy food. Our server was good. Im not sure what it is about this place. But it wasnt a good experience. I dont know if theyre inexperienced with food or what but their chicken is bland, their salads are sour. They took an insanely long time to take food orders and even longer to serve the food. They werent even busy. Servers were nice. Thats about it. We were there almost 2 hours. An hour longer than most of us wanted to be there. Im imagining this is more of a place that specializes in serving drinks and drinks only. You can try it out yourself but be prepared to be disappointed

It is a shame that I have to leave such a bad review for such a cool venue. Great area for kids to run around and have fun. However, the experience is soured by an almost 2 hour wait for food. 1 hour before we got our appetizer, then told it be another 30mins because there are just 3 tickets ahead of us and they are small. 30 minutes later and we asked for an update and were told our tickets somehow got moved back and hadnt even been started. This turned what started as such a nice evening into a nightmare. I will say I would have been willing to give 2 stars if we had been warned from the start that food times were long.

Plenty of outdoor seating with a large turf yard and stage. No live music was scheduled when we were there, so the kids mostly used the yard to run and play. Off the beaten path but Smitty Ks was a fun place for a post election party. Wings (multiple flavors) and in-house made thick cut potato chips were delicious. People seemed to love the pulled pork sliders too. (I didnt have one because I ate too many of the aforementioned wings and chips!). They have a full service bar too and plenty of TVs for those who want to watch them. They also have lots of outdoor space and seating.

Takes a while to get service. Even on an occasion when it was slow. This last time I flagged a girl down asked her if I could get Astros Rangers game on.. she didn t seem very nice but said she would in a bit. She never did. I asked someone else and she said she d ask manager. 30 minutes later I asked for my check and left to catch the game somewhere else. On one occasion I went to eat, there was a waitress that was a welder before waitering (can t remember her name) but she was great. Really nice girl and great service. Wish I could remember her name. Wings have great flavor but are kinda cold sometimes.

Had a horrible experience. Very disappointed in the lack of seating, meaning lack of actual furniture on the patio area on the night of a concert. Secondly, non-existent service. We attended a crayfish boil there on Saturday. The crayfish were amazing! Great flavor. Their queso blanco is fabulous. They make their own potato chips which is awesome but honestly it threw me for a loop. Haha! I like regular ole corn tortilla chips. I also order the Texas BBQ Nachos which had pulled pork. Wife & I attended a recent candidate forum at Smitty Ks. We arrived early & selected the pulled-pork BBQ sandwich with Tea from the event menu. We both agree that was the best pulled-pork BBQ we have had anywhere! Our introduction to pulled-pork BBQ was a decade or so ago during an East Coast vacation. Where ever it was, they claimed that the area was where PP BBQ was developed years ago. Our reaction: why bother? Smitty Ks has clearly taken a Texas version of Pulled-Pork BBQ to a new level of excellence! Wait staff was great considering the SRO crowd. Smitty K owners should be commended for hosting events like this candidate forum.
