I was visiting College Station and went to the Salata store for dinner. All was good till I started eating, I may have had about 6 to 7 bites and suddenly my son sitting opposite me shouted Mom there s a bug in your salad. It was a live bug crawling out of the salad. This was the most awful experience I ve ever had. Imagine a live bug crawling out of your salad. Plus we are totally vegetarian folks. I was so dumb struck that didn t take a picture before getting up and giving my bowl to the employee. No apologies, the employee didn t even share the manager phone number. We were a party of 4 paid about $66 for our meal and all of us just had to leave our meal and all we could do was walk away. Never ever will we step foot in a Salata again. I really wish I had taken a photo.

This was my first time at this new salad restaurant. Its pretty pricey. I didnt see egg slices as an option. The employees were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. It was dinner time (730pm) on a Sunday, so there werent many other customers until shortly after we sat down. The restrooms were clean. The salad I purchased was $18 without the tip. The avocado half was extra, and so were the bacon bits. It was delicious!

The amount of options and the freshness of everything offered sets Salata into the upper tier of quick food options. Price is pretty reasonable for what youre getting, maybe the tiniest bit on the pricey side. Everything is super flavorable, and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone needing a quick, healthy, and delicious meal.

Salata has become my go-to spot whenever Im craving a healthy and filling meal. Despite not being a huge fan of salads typically, Ive been pleasantly surprised by the portions and freshness at Salata. While Ive noticed some reviews mentioning small portions, it hasnt been my experience at all. As a larger guy, I appreciate getting bang for my buck, and I can confidently say that Salata delivers on that front. Each time I order a regular salad, I find myself being able to make two satisfying meals out of it. The ingredients are consistently fresh and delicious, which makes each bite a delight. Whether its the crisp greens or the vibrant veggies, everything tastes like it was just harvested. Plus, the ability to customize my salad exactly to my liking ensures that I always leave satisfied. If youre looking for a place where you can enjoy a hearty, wholesome meal without breaking the bank, Salata is the place to be.

Service: prompt, patient, kind Food: phenomenal. Many options to choose from even for vegetarians. As a true salad lover this place surprised me with protein options like edamame, chickpeas, falafel and quinoa. The dont hold back on you! Also enjoyed the green ice tea! Ambiance: ample seating, enjoyable lighting. Suggestion for improvement: add tahini to the dressings. All I had was lemon because sauces are not healthy at all.

This is a great idea! Its like I am making salad at home and adding all my favorite ingredients. Everything was fresh. The employees were great and made our salad perfect. The small size was a pretty big salad. They were not skimpy with the dressing either. They had a great selection of proteins and veggies of all kinds. Lots of drink choices too.

My husband and I usually eat here every time we come to college station. However tonight will be our last time. The selection of fruits and veggies are great but they mainly give you lettuce. It feels like you re begging for food asking to get more toppings on your salad. $35 is way too expensive for two bowls of lettuce. Fix this issue and this would be a great place to eat.

There are two people that look alike who need to be retrained. I had a regular size salad and the guy gave me exactly 4 pieces of cucumber and I had to ask for more. Then he gave me 5 pieces of mushrooms which again I needed to ask for more. Everything he gave me was micro portions. Thankfully a lady took over when it got to the protein section. Wish there was another salata in the area to go to.

As usual, my Salata experience was fantastic. Sometimes I feel pressured going down the line, I was with my grandmother and it was her first time and the options are overwhelming!! But everyone was so patient and kind (even the customers after us were giving advice). Other workers just pulled on gloves and hopped in the line to try to help the bottleneck! Wish I could get more dressing though. For a picky eater, Im so proud I can come here and really get some good nutrition in, with an incredible taste. Also got a cookie, highly recommend for $1.25

The salad choices were very good, and the items were very fresh. The service was good also. I was surprised ro see that they barely put a small spoonful of the various toppings, so you end up mostly with the greens. Also, the price seemed to be too high. There were two of us, had only an added avocado portion, no meats or cheeses (which we were not interested in but were extra if you wanted them), each had a drink, no extra bread, and our bill was $38. Not a place Ill be rushing back to any time soon.

Great salad buffet. Lots of choices for salads, pasta, or wraps base. So many toppings to choose from and protein add ons. Fresh made dressings were very flavorful. Breads and crackers available also. Staff was friendly, everything sparkling clean and tidy. If the place was packed it might get loud but it was mostly empty and a quiet atmosphere the day we went.

Sept 2023- Nice to see they took time to renovate the inside. It wasnt too bad inside before, but it looks very clean and brighter inside now. The food is fresh and healthy which is a nice change compared to other places. Service is usually pretty quick and friendly. Prices seem a little high, but most healthy options usually are a bit more expensive than a greasy hamburger at this point. We return often.

This is one of my favorite fast food places to eat in College Station. The food is consistently fresh and its easy to customize your salad or wrap. They also have a good food allergy protocol which makes me more confident that my food isnt cross-contaminated with ingredients that would make me sick. Some salad places limit the number of ingredients you can select, but Salata lets you choose a lot of ingredients for the base price (some specific ingredients cost extra.) Ill definitely eat here the next time I am in town!

Clean you pick what u want on your salads which are huge all types of veggies they put in bowl for you off the bar. if u want meat its extra price for reg salad was 10$ you cant see in pic but I had tons of stuff under my spinach. You do clean your table or at least remove dishes. Highly recommend if your ever in college Station Texas. That bowl was big enough for a family of 4. You take home what u cant finish there. Vegetarian options: Everything you could imagine.

Friendly patient staff, with lots of space on the Saturday we visited. (Surprised it wasnt as busy as some other places in CS on a Saturday) You can decide on how youd want your own salad to look like, which is a helpful concept if there are things you dont like in certain salads. You can pre-order and pickup as well. For the size of the salad, the price is a little on the higher side. Dietary restrictions: You can decide for your own salad. If youd have any dietary wishes, the staff is willing to help and make suggestions.

I took my wife to get her birthday present. Which from Salata was a salad, the total cost of was supposed to be $12.99. However, the server, whos name I didnt get, was very rude and got an attitude with my wife and told her the meat was extra, which is incorrect. I love salata! The food here is the best salad you can get in CSTAT! However this particular location is terribly managed. The employees move slowly and seem unconcerned with the line that stacks up. There are several bottlenecks in the line with no clear sense of direction. Would love to come here more but the customer service is severely lacking. I would give them a break for staffing these days, but they appeared to be fully staffed.

The food was good, what they had left of it. We went at around 745, they close at 9. We were rushed through the line, getting stares and not being offered anything or even spoken words to. They just rushed us along the line in silence, it was so chaotic and confusing especially for my son. I felt like I couldve had a better salad and experience if given better service. This is the worst restaurant experience I ve ever had at salata in college station off of Texas. Both workers were extremely rude. I asked for more of specific ingredients and he wouldn t put more he would put like 2 additional olives. He had to wrap my wrap 3 times because he kept breaking the tortilla and every time he would transfer he would throw out half of the ingredients on the inside. I asked several times to put more in it because now my wrap was minuscule and I paid $15 for this wrap after he refused to put more ingredients in it. I usually go to salata once a week and I m so disappointed. All of the food was also not fresh looks like it was sitting out for days.

I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I love comfort food and maybe sweets a little too much, but Salata provides enough choices to satisfy almost anyone. I particularly enjoy a zesty Mediterranean style salad. Typically, I get the larger salad and it provides two meals for me. It s almost a little too pricy when you add a protein, but I can justify the expensive with multiple meals. That being said I have one major complaint. If you want a specific ingredient to dominate your salad, you have to ask the server to add the component three or four times. It makes a customer feel a touch ridiculous if you just want a bunch of broccoli or chickpeas. The company s idea of adding an ingredient often is represented as 3-4 pieces of broccoli as an example. I have experienced this as pretty much a constant every time I eat there. If I m paying 14-15 for a salad, give me as much broccoli as I want >_<.

Theyve went up on prices use to be $7 small salad $8 large salad. Now its $8 small and 9.50 large. I used to love this place and I came very often. I greatly agree workers should wear a face mask and gloves, especially on restaurants, but I cant stand the workers at this location. They constantly touch their face face masks and even their clothes while they touch the ingredients to prepare the salads. And the worst thing is that they do not change their gloves or wash their hands after doing it. There was a time I kindly asked a worker to change his gloves and he was rude and did not want to do it. We are facing times of Covid 19, other serious viral infections and diseases, and they do not understand the importance of not touching their face masks, or not changing their gloves while managing food. I have food allergies, and I highly avoid animal products. And I cant stand the employes touch animal products like meat, cheese, or eggs and then touch the vegetables I will eat. It is not that hard to change their gloves every time you touch different ingredients, or at least they can use the spoons and tongs that are on each ingredients section. Someone needs to do something about this issues I mentioned, they need to improve the sanitary measures, and encourage employes to follow them and serve customers properly.

Ive been going there for years. Always had a good meal...and no complaints until now. I visited today November 10, 2021. I had to wait in line because the salad was not stocked. The lady in front of me had to ask her how much longer since it didnt appear she was in any hurry to serve the customers that were just waiting for a SALAD BAR RESTAURANT to stock the bar with lettuce. Am I missing something here? The worst day ever... Certainly not their best day and it was very obvious that there was NO ONE in charge.

Salata has a very good quality of food but when ordering a plate I get such a small portion of everything. I pay 3$ extra for a protein just to get a few small pieces when i actually am paying extra for it. I wanted something different for dinner while on the road. Too many burgers and tacos, and not enough salads. This for the bill perfectly. Like some burrito places, you go through a line where you can choose your lettuce, protein, toppings, and dressing. They build the salad in front of you. Quick and easy with a variety of choices. Small or Large salad, or wraps also available. Large salad was so big I had to take the rest home Sides include pita chips,, rolls,, and crisps. I love the variety of fresh salad items that I can choose from. The fellow that helped me was friendly and helpful. The only thing that bothered me is that Im adjectives to both nuts and shellfish and he would use his gloved hand rather than the spoons to put some of my selections in my bowl. I usually really enjoy this place; however, I was let down tonight... thus the 3 stars instead of 5. The Buttermilk Ranch Dressing is usually very good; tonight it tasted watered down. TL;DR: Clean place, fresh ingredients, GREAT salads, but you might end up having to bargain to get more than a tiny amount of each ingredient. I am a regular customer at Salata. This place is a significant detour from my regular commute to work, but I keep returning just because they serve a really good salad! All their ingredients look fresh (I am yet to see a wilted leaf here, which is saying a lot for a salad place!) and you can build your own salad which I really like. But most importantly for me, their staff are required to and are very good about wearing masks and gloves! The only reason this is a four star review is because depending on your server, you might end up getting an extremely small amount of the ingredient you asked for. I hope they address this issue soon, but in the meantime I will keep showing up and occasionally pestering the server for extra grapes on my salad!

Some of the best salads in town! I love taking mine to go, but have eaten there as well and love the relaxing atmosphere. Everything is very fresh! The place is clean!

Delicious but it was a hassle to get to! The address is 1907 Texas Av. SOUTH, not 1907 S Texas. Also the premade salads on the website arent available in store, its all build your own. Once we got the salads, all was well but I wish it had been a little easier.
