Stopped by for some breakfast tacos. Place looked closed but I went thru the drive thru anyway and they quickly answered. Asked for 6 tacos for some coworkers. Took more than 10 minutes to get my order. I felt worst for the people behind me that had to wait for me to get my order. Young lady was nice and attentive but it just took too long. Tacos were good, salsa was spicy and had great flavor. It just took too long and wont go back as it would definitely make me late for work.

Worst place to go never before I went first time I went to grab taco their Drive through prices are different then and when you go to pay at window has huge difference when I disputed they said drive forward and we will take your order I waited no one showed up so I went inside restaurant & said I order food but no one came guess what they said we refused to give you food & they also agreed that they have different prices in drive through display. I will never go again there they have very disappointed me & disrespected me I was very kind and very helpful but they need more training how to take care of Customers. I would give Zero 00000000 not even one star

If San Diego found out about this place it d send them a cease-and-desist letter immediately. The food was so bland. The burrito was packed with rice to give it size. The beef had no char so there was no flavor and it lacked any sort of Mexican seasoning. I really wanted to like this place since it s hard enough finding good Mexican food around here that s not texmex and this spot isn t it. People tell me to go to the Alama location but I m not sure if I want to spend another $16 to be disappointed again. Two stars because the staff was nice and the inside was a nice place to eat.

I have eaten here several times but today the food was awful. I usually get the rolled tacos and a shredded beef taco. They claimed they didn t have hard taco shells for the shredded beef taco. Yet, they did have corn tortillas. You can t make hard taco shells out of corn tortillas? The rolled tacos had very little guacamole on them. They were very stale and tasted funny. I was afraid of finishing them. I am very disappointed because I really liked this place before today.

Amazing food and great service. As for the earlier reviewe complaining about the guacamole there s a thing called science, when you wait to long to eat something that is made with avocado and it doesn t have unnatural preservatives in it, a thing called oxidation happens when you let the food sit too long. It s not their fault you don t understand how nature works. Since moving to Texas I have searched everywhere to find a place that makes real carne asada, machaca, ect.. Valerie s knocks it out of the park.

Went to valeries 27 weeks pregnant craving bean and chorizo tacos. I explained to the guy several times all i wanted was bean and chorizo. Not lettuce, cheese, salsa, ect. JUST BEAN AND CHORIZO. I was very excited they said they had it since it was past breakfast time!! The total seemed ridiculous at over 4.00 dollars a tacos but I was WIlling to pay the high price. once I reviewed my order I excitedly opened my food and found bean, chorizo, cheese, and potato tacos!! I went back and reminded them I only wanted BEAN and CHORIZO! After being disappointed once my excitement dropped and I drove off woth my new order. When I finally opened it at home, I received bean, chorizo, and potato tacos!! I went ahead and ate them since I was home already but the tacos were EXTREMELY greasy and not what I ordered!!! -one very sad pregnant lady

We would always come here but we had a horrible experience this is not edible! these went directly to the trash! $ to the trash !! will never be coming back! That guacamole looks like poop we asked for light guacamole, that s literally on the whole plate, If this is light I wander what regular is. The torta also had guacamole inside no thanks! We also told them no pico because one of us has a tomato allergy and they still added it! Like what! Unbelievable. Always check your food before leaving to at least get your money back because after seeing that you won t want to eat their food! also ask for a receipt they didn t give is one.

I have been getting food at this location for several months now, and everything has been delicious! My favorite had been the cheese quesadillas with added onions. Today I tried the chicken flautas, and they are amazing! The outside is crispy, the chicken is flavorful and tender, and the toppings/sides (guacamole, sour cream, pico, and lettuce) are tasty and so fresh! I m in Flauta Heaven! Thank you! Idk if we just came at the wrong time but idk how any one can say this place is great. Yall can keep your California style tex mex in California. Got a soft taco (5 bucks) and I get this tiny corn tortilla with a scoop of meat on it. For 5 bucks?? One review on here said their soft tacos were big. I almost busted out laughing when I got my big soft taco. 5 bucks for that tiny little thing is a joke. I also got a chicken burrito. Very bland and soaking wet in grease. Wife got chicken quesadillas and it was basically the chicken burrito but cut into pieces. We were extremely disappointed in this place after reading some of these great reviews. Anyone who says this place is great either has no taste buds or needs their head examined. This place needs to stay in California as its a disgrace to all types of Mexican food, tex mex, and cali tex mex. Worst style of mexican/tex mex Ive ever had.

Four reasons its perfectly worth paying $4 for breakfast tacos. 1. The portions are big and generous 2. The flavor is authentic to its Mexican orgin 3. The staff are so courteous and accommodating 4. It was a bit hot in there but the food was all amazing and the elotes was probably my favorite. I got the carne burrito and guacamole fries and elotes. I didn t eat the fries because I got full off half a burrito but I did try them and they were good and definitely not stingy with the guacamole. My fiancé got the chicken rolls and street tacos I tried the street taco and it was also good. Different hot sauces and I tried all of them and the super super hot was my favorite Paid $40 bucks for guacamole fires that could feed 4 or more, 3 street taco plate, rice and beans, elotes, burrito, 3 chicken rolls , 2 drinks, and a crispy taco that my fiancé wasn t a fan of but everything else was good

Ever since l moved here from Arizona, Ive been on a mission to find a replacement for Filibertos. This is it! If you prefer TexMex this is NOT the place for you. This is better! My go-to is the Carne Asada burrito, and Valeries doesnt disappoint. This is a huge burrito with juicy steak packed in there. Its hole-in-the-wall vibes, but dont let that deter you. The flavor is on-point every time. Another top item is the 3-Rolled Tacos, chrispy rolled tacos that are awesome. Their breakfast burritos are also worth the visit, they are paxked full of food and flavor, worth every penny. This isnt a big chain so you wont see much advertising...get there anyway. This place is a gem.

I had breakfast so this is not about the regular tacos. The breakfast burritos were huge. I really didnt like them very much because they were so big they would not roll and were a mess to eat. This place took over what used to be a del taco (and a grandys), and we ve been meaning to give it try once they opened. First off, it s not Taco Bell. It ll take a few minutes to get things out to you. And portions are large. I didn t finish my chicken burrito. We both liked the tacos. I think they make and fry their own shells for the hard tacos, so they have some crunch to them, and hold up when ingredients are in there. They ve got a salsa bar which I didn t notice until most of the way through my meal, so I ll have to try that next time. The enchilada sauce was a bit mild according to my wife, who thinks ketchup is spicy. I could have used some chips (they might be on the menu and I missed them) for the refried beans. All in all, we ll be back and try some different things.

I want to be fair about this place: (We bought 18 tacos for our family that just came from San Antonio to visit-this is a compilation of their opinion, Friday Night Dinner Time) The Diablo Taco is their best taco. Tasty compared to the other tacos. Also, the tacos are big and filling and two tacos would definitely be enough for any individual. Other than that, this place is a disappointment, the food was vey bland and the carnitas and carne Asada tacos were very tough. The guacamole lacked that zesty touch that lime provides. The kicker was feeling the smooth edge of the tortillas, clearly big brand days old store bought tortillas. The combination of all these factors results in a inferior quality product. Given the prices of the tacos, they are simply not worthy. The main improvement this place can do is get fresh homemade tortillas. For a place to be called a taco shop it is imperative to have the freshest tortillas not days old Mission tortillas. I cannot recommend this place in good conscience.

Very tasteless food. This is chain is from California? Too bad it did not stay there. Ate the fried Mahi taco thinking it would be great but was very disappointed at how bland it was. Tried two crispy shredded beef tacos and wish the meat had some sort of flavor instead of being so flavorless. For the prices they charge you would think the food would be tasty. Save your money and go somewhere better. 7/18/22 Acted like a customer in your store so not really sure why your making it seem otherwise in your reply. Your food is disgusting and unless you improve it your not going to make it. Califorina has awesome food normally thats why its so shocking the food is disgusting. I didnt even bring up the yucky nachos my sister hated and returned for gross flautas that was made with the same disgusting shredded beef that tasted rotten. Your establishment is going to make some one sick.

Always a great time when I come to Valerie s. It s the only location that makes California quality Mexican Food. No Tex-Mex here folks! I know there are some complaints about consistency but common it s always one cook and one worker! All in all if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, not Tex-Mex then give this Valerie s location a try!

Wow this is a awesome place to eat the food is super fresh and delicious! And Art is always so helpful and the bad reviews that people are leaving, they are crazy. On 6/6/23 went to Valeries and like always the cook made amazing food and the way the cashier helps and treats all of the customers, its like family !!! Valeries taco stand dont stop what your doing food is great service excellent!! I like Valeries Taco shop. The location in Princeton was amazing but this one is not at all the same. The food is not prepared with at all the same quality of ingredients or love. Been here 3 times hoping it would get better it did not. My food was missing parts and when I asked them to fix it I got attitude. And after that when I went to ask for anything else like salsa or a to go box I was ignored and given more attitude. I will not go back here again.

Do NOT eat there food I got super sick for a week there food is rotten was in the hospital with food poisoning and I found a fly in my food. Also what they re doing is illegal they pay their co-workers underneath the table no taxes or anything they pay them cash only. I cant believe they re open for business. Ask their manager theyll tell you. They dont pay them the way they should the legal way. I hope they get shut down. This place is pathetic. It s filthy and the bathrooms are disgusting. Finally CaliBeachMex is here! They have actual salsa, not Tabasco. What a concept DFW. They are from San Diego, so much so your transaction comes up for Oceanside on your bank statement which makes you feel like you were on vacation.

Honestly extremely disappointed. Im currently sitting in the parking lot because it says open yet you guys are closed. Employees inside but nobody taking orders. The last time I came we spent 60+dollars for my husbands order to be completely wrong. We even spoke to a member the family of the place (we believe) we were so excited just to be disappointed again and again. Sucks to not get what youre craving on mothers day. Very disappointed. I really wanted to like this place since its supposedly CA Mexican food. Last weekend we ordered through the drive thru, and I ordered chicken enchiladas, they werent terrible but not great. Went back yesterday and sat inside. First off, the lady taking our order wasnt very friendly, had zero personality. There was no ice in the machine so drank room temp sodas. No one at the counter to inform. I ordered the pollo asado chimichanga this time. It was a good size, but lacked flavor. I also ordered a chicken taco (hard shell) that was super tough to take a bite out of. The shell was like old tasting. Needless to say, I wont be back. I am from CA and this place should ashamed. I prefer Pollo Regio, they are more authentic than this place.

The food is great and being from Arizona this is the closest I can find from home. I am not a fan of Tex/Mex and I stop by once a week with the wife for lunch. Depending on the day sometimes the food portion are great and sometimes you get a burrito or tacos with very little anything. The service is usually good but not in common to get your order a little off. They have no problem correcting it but I would always recommend checking the food before you go. The ambiance is good and it is pretty low key. The dining area is always clean and the people are great. I will keep coming here and just wish they had later hours some days.

Tried for the first time today and was very disappointed. Ordered the relleno and beef taco plate to go. Relleno had a burnt taste to it that was off putting. Taco which was supposed to be beef turned out to be extremely dry chicken and a very stale shell. Ended up throwing most of this out. I had high hopes for this place since it s close to my home. Doubt I ll give this place another try when there are better options like Mr Tako around.

Hands down the best Authentic California Mexican food you can find. I moved to Texas 2 years ago and its been a mission trying to find good Mexican food. Texas has a lot of Tex-Mex aka ( Fancy Taco Bell.) The tacos at this place are just like the tacos in Cali, they have a good amount of meat in them and the flavor is outstanding!! Im so glad this place is close by because it will now be my only go to for tacos or anything Im craving thats Mexican food. Obviously every location is hurting in staffing so if you need to wait just be patient and know the food is worth the wait. Dont listen to the negative reviews from Matt Warren or Kelley Price because obviously this place has lots of 5 star reviews for a reason. I hope everyone close by gets to experience the amazing food at this place!

First time trying, will not be back.... waited 45 mins in drive thru which was not to bad, they were busy and likely short staffed so I understand. Was a bit expensive but figured the food must be pretty good. I got carne asada fries and a chicken torta. Fries were not even cooked all the way and still cold, wasnt able to eat any fries since they were still crunchy and raw. Moved on to my torta and found the bread was soggy and just falling apart It was like it was dipped in water and put together. I also asked for queso and a tostada and got no queso and a burrito. Unsure if I got someone elses order or they just messed up. Mr. Tako is just down the road, cheaper and very good. Highly suggest going a few mins further down the road.

This place is really good and especially for it being a drive through also. Sure you have to wait a little but it s because everything is made to order and fresh. This one carnitas taco is huge and big pieces of meat , and delicious. My favorite is the crispy potato tacos as well! Definitely recommend this place for good mexican food.
