There s a gentleman that s been working cashier the past 2 Tuesdays I ve been to Tacobar (today being one of them) and he s SO sweet and caring of customers. I didn t get his name but he s in his 20s I m assuming. He recommended me the mango margarita last time (which was delicious) and he recommended me the bistec tacos this time and those were delicious too. I don t go out to each much in Cstat but I m gonna start making it a habit to go to Tacobar on Tuesdays bc the deals are good and the staff is so kind! Also- one of my vegetarian friends came with me too and he really enjoyed his veggie tacos! Vegetarian options: Veggie taco

This has quickly become our favorite Mexican restaurant in BCS. Service is absolutely phenomenal! This time we had the California burrito, a side of refried beans, two volcanes, and chicken fajita nachos. I had the watermelon lemonade and my husband had a fountain drink (they have Boots drinks which are awesome!) The portion sizes are perfect.

This has become my go to place to bring friends - I love finding them new customers! It s so good. The green sauce is incredible, the street tacos on flours super flavorful and they don t skimp on meat, and I love the cheese quesadilla and fries. The lovely woman up front is so kind and friendly, and it s clean and cheerful inside. I need to try the churros next, but I m always so full!

I am gluten intolerant and I dont eat pork. Gentleman at the register ensured my diet was adhered to and was incredibly professional and kind. Tacos are overloaded, seriously. I highly recommend this place!

I tried this place for the first time with a group of friends and was so disappointed. There was only one or two other customers there and the service was very slow. One of the servers was vaping in the kitchen. Chips were stale. elote was okay. The entire order was wrong, one of my friends didn t even get their food. overpriced for what it was. edible but there s better places in bryan i can spend my business.

Excellent flavor and ingredients, enormous portions, shockingly low prices for such high quality, fast service. There are a lot of excellent taquerias in College Station and Bryan but Taco Bar is an essential visit to make. Skip the soullessly bland and preposterously overpriced (not to mention overcrowded) fast-casual chains and enjoy the local gems for half the price.

Im am not complaining about the food. It was OK. However, you have a huge service problem. I ordered three tacos. you have a special going on and i questioned the cashier because i thought the price was to low. I said that is all for three tacos. She said yes, we arent trying to scam you. I told her I didnt think they were but that the price seemed to low for three tacos. She said the price was right. When the person brought my order to me, I asked if they had included the extra onion and cilantro I ordered. He said yes we have. Its all there. When I get the food home. I have 2 tacos and no cilantro and onion. I dont know what else I can do to make sure you get my order right. Do I have to go into the kitchen and cook it myself and bag it u to make sure I get what I pay for? I never ask someone to cut anything I only order whats on the menu and expect to pay for everything I order. I just want to know when I get home, i will have all that i order. Shouldnt be too hard but I guess it is. If it was once, id be less angry but I dont know how many chances you expect to get before someone says never again. I like to support small business , I just wish small business was equally supportive of its customers.

The parking lot was empty when we arrived. Its 7:00 on a Saturday night. Usually peak hours for a restaurant. That should have been our first red flag. Told the person at the counter that we had never been here before and they didnt seem to care. Honestly he seemed annoyed that we looked at the menu for so long. Offered no help with the menu or offered any suggestions. I ordered the chips and queso along with the street taco meal. Was very disappointed that asada was not a meat option. I went with the beef fajita instead. My friend ordered chips and salsa. The queso had a weird flavor to it, almost sour tasting. The salsa tasted like they just mixed tomato juice with cilantro and heated it up. A lot of our chips were undercooked. My meal was served on a paper plate with terrible presentation. Absolutely the driest Spanish rice I have ever tried. I didnt dare touch the beans since they looked like paste from a can. The tacos were extremely bland with little to no flavor. We tried a couple of the sauces offered by the drink station and they all tasted dirty for lack of a better word. We were not able to eat most of our meal simply because it tasted awful. Had absolutely no interaction from any of the employees. When we were leaving the guy who took our orders just stared at us as we walked out without uttering a single word. It was pretty creepy. Overall a terrible experience. There was no attempt at any kind of customer service and the food was practically inedible. Definitely will not be returning.

So underrated!!! Amazing prices for amazing tacos. We went here and they had amazing customer service. They were nice and funny and welcoming. The restaurant is decorated really cute. The restaurant is nice and clean. Music and tvs are available. Jenga is available for outside sitting. We got our food in three minutes. Delicious and warm and fresh. The food was AMAZING! Free topping add ons. Super fast with serving us. Always friendly to everyone walking in. Thank you for the amazing service. Eat here!! I wanted to try this place for a while. I ordered chips and salsa, elote, and street tacos. I absolutely love chips and salsa, but would rate this one a 5/10. It is served warm. The elote didn t quite taste like elote to me. It sort of had a strange after taste. I did enjoy the street tacos (the rice and beans were average). The meat was very flavorful and seasoned and the green salsa is very good and spicy!

Walked in around 10AM to get some work done before my group showed up for our 11:30 Lunch Bunch. It was dead around 10AM, which was perfect for what I wanted to do. PLUS, I got to work in a truly unique and beautiful space. The decor, the colors, the attention to detail was all superb. The service was absolutely top-notch and you can tell that they truly care about making your experience awesome. Even though we had a group of 15 or so, we were all served in a timely manner, everything came out how we asked, and we simply just had a really good time. Will visit again for work and tacos soon! Kid-friendliness: Loud enough atmosphere that having kiddos there wouldnt be an issue. Theyd love the colors and the décor, I think too!

First time here. It is mostly tacos from what I saw on the menu. Ordered the El Jefe and two Matamoros Street tacos with fajita meat. You order from a counter and then take a seat and your meal is brought out to you. I don t like that when you pay at the counter and it asks you to add a tip before you are able to evaluate the service. I selected the 18% which amounted to $3,37 and the only service I received was the food brought to my table. No one checked back or made any attempt to interact with me during the meal. Your food comes out without any utensils so anything that falls out of your taco you have to pick up and eat with your hands so make sure you wash them. Lol There is also no salt, pepper, salsa, or napkins on the table. You can go back to the counter to get napkins but I didn t see any of the other items I mentioned anywhere to be found??? The inside was not really clean and I was the only customer for a while so we re not too busy. My table needs to be wiped down and there were napkins on the floor at my table. The Matamores was definitely the star of the show in my dinner plate. They fry the outer tortilla with some type of cheese that gives it a unique and delicious flavor. The fillings are pretty good too. My three tacos, a soda, and an order of fries were $23.64. Another issue that irked me was the price of the fries on the menu is $2.95 but on my check it was $3.50?? Not a big deal but I do expect the menu to reflect the actual price you will be charged. Overall it was not bad but and I am glad I tried them out but don t think I will be back.

My girlfriend and I had dinner there tonight for our first time. Definitely our new favorite taco spot! The prices were very good. The portions were more than filling. Everything was authintic and delicious! It also bares mention just how friendly and accommodating the staff were. They were very attentive and always smiling when visiting our table making sure our experience was pleasant. I was amazed at how quickly our food was prepared and served as well! 5 stars all around. If theres such a thing as an authentic Mexican QSR (quick service restaurant), this is it. The chips and salsa taste amazing. The variety of tacos and quesadillas they offer can be overwhelming for newbies, and for people like me who havent tried everything yet. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, and the location is a bit wonky, but The Tacobar is now on my list of regulars, and Ive yet to be disappointed with anything Ive tried. If you want to run a tab, be prepared to have your card pre-authd for $20 then have to pay your bill in full, all the while the $20 hold on your card remains. Then wait for your bank to release the hold some days later. If you are a regular or go a couple times a week you will be held up for $20 each time you swipe. Leaving you out $40-$100 for days. Dont dare ask why?! Its the system Im told. Then youll be branded a troublemaker for having a problem!

I am desperately craving the Matamoros tacos from Tacobar, if you happen to be in College Station, these taco place is a must! we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering and then ordered even more because they were SO good! and OMG the Churros for desert with Dulce de Leche were the cherry on top!! This place is awesome. We have been coming here for years, since before they opened the new location, and its been a favorite of ours for all that time. The food is very reasonably priced, and genuinely delicious and authentic. The owner is super friendly and responsive, and you can tell that he and his staff really work hard to give customers a great experience. Worse money I ever spent on nachos, no one at the register knew the menu, I wanted GROUND BEEF but I got steak strips instead , I wanted QUESO CHEESE but it was some kinda cream cheese , I wanted shredded cheese on top but that didnt happen, the nacho plate was 13 99 , any vegetables toppings like onions ,mushrooms, cilantro, avocados , tomatoes were a $1.00 each extra , before I could finish the nachos the cheese got hard and I couldnt finish eating it , I threw it in the trash ! I dont recommend this place and Ill never go back and the employees did not care , no customer service skills what so ever!

I remember going here soon after they opened. They were struggling, the location wasnt the best, but the food was. One of the owners said they make food the way their parents do down in Brownsville, TX. They have changed over time and added new items that arent traditional, but still delicious.

I definitely have to go to Taco bar at least once a week, the food there is amazing. Ive been going to this spot since it opened and I can say I am a loyal customer. The owner is pretty great too!

Wasnt too sure about this place but as soon as I walked in I knew I had picked the right one. Great place to have breakfast tacos. They also have a pretty good selection of Mexican candies as well. Will definitely be coming to this place a lot more often.

I was hoping for some spicy spicy Mexican tacos or quesadillas but it was Very Tex Mex food, really not spicy at all. But it is very pricey for what you get.
