I come here so often I should give 5 stars but I have to be honest. Service really depends on whos working. Rogelio and two younger ladies whose names I dont know are awesome!!! They even know my order by heart, all three of them!!! But if the older ladies are working its 50/50 on whether or not my order is even right. Theyve messed up my order in the drive thru numerous times (but the 3 MVPs dont, ever). They also seem rude when you talk to them. The food is always delicious!!! If I could ask for anything Id ask for a healthy vegetable side option other than pico/guac. All the delicious protein and breakfast makes this place easy for an athlete to eat healthy if there was a good vegetable side. Overall I give 4/5 stars because the older staff honestly doesnt give their best otherwise itd be 5 stars.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The customer service was horrible. The waiter never said hello or introduced himself. I got water with stuff floating in it and when I asked for another one, that one had stuff in it as well. Our group had to get up and walk out. The waiter was so rude. When my party and I were outside deciding where to go eat another table of four that came in behind us walked out as well. Dont waste your time going to this place. If you want good food and great service go to Mas Fajita.

We were visiting family in College Station and they took us here for dinner. The food, atmosphere and service was amazing. It was the owners birthday and she is so sweet. She gave each of my children $5 and they were so excited. The food was amazing. Between the 5 adults and 3 kids we had sour cream enchiladas, fried avocado, queso enchiladas, barbacoa, charleys special, tilapia and cheese nachos. Everything was so good. We werent expecting queso over the tilapia, but it was delicious. Dont let the location, next to a gas station scare you away. This is a definite must go!

Title: A Hidden Gem with Tasty Enchiladas Pollys Cocina in College Station, Texas, might not be the most conventional Mexican restaurant, but its a hidden gem worth discovering. What makes this place stand out is its unconventional location attached to a gas station. But dont let that fool you; Pollys Cocina has a character of its own. The walls are adorned with 8x10 photos of past customers, giving it a charming and nostalgic atmosphere. The abundance of pictures everywhere adds a unique touch, making it feel like a place with stories to tell. Now, lets talk about the tabletops pure granite. It might be an unexpected choice, but it adds an interesting and upscale feel to the dining experience. Its a testament to the attention to detail youll find here. Pollys Cocina has that local spot vibe, and its a testament to the rich culture and flavors of the area. I recently tried their enchiladas, and they were nothing short of fantastic. The flavors were authentic and satisfying. Its evident that they take pride in their Mexican cuisine. If youre looking for a local eatery with a unique ambiance and delicious Mexican dishes, Pollys Cocina is the place to be. Id rate my experience here 4 stars a true hidden gem in College Station.

Always loving, caring & excellent food in good portions and competitive billing. Best at daytime, so dark @ night inside. Tacos generous but The Bell is a competitor. Catfish generous, delicious and North American, not the other BUT have been spoiled byu dipping sauce, even if only tartar ... None came and nothing on the table seemed to work. All food first class, good service, parking, EZ in-out ... even gas up while there!

2 small, ground beef burritos. $13. Literally tasted like Taco Bell soft tacos. Beans and rice were awesome, though. My wifes tacos were standard as well as my daughters chicken quesadilla...really dry chicken. The order also took a really long time. This is one of those places that relies on local tradition serving substandard food.

Unfortunately, Pollys has been on the downhill slide for months. My husband and I used to order fajitas to go almost every Sunday and the they were ways amazing. Recently the quality has declined. They changed something about their fountain sodas, first of all. They used to have the best fountain Dr. Pepper in town by a landslide, and now its flat and tastes like generic Dr. Pepper knock off. That sounds small but Dr. Pepper is the absolute best when its right, and its hard to find that perfect fountain soda. The food portions and seasoning have been inconsistent. Once we started dining in again after Covid, we stopped ordering the fajitas for two. When you order fajitas, the steak comes mixed with peppers and onions in a greasy but delicious juice. I usually will either order fajitas for one or the fajitas taco plate, depending on how hungry I am. The meat used to consistently come soaked in that juice/grease, no matter which way I ordered them. The portion of meat is never the same. Sometimes theyre overflowing, sometimes its tiny, scraggly pieces. Sometimes the meat is juicy and well seasoned, sometimes its dry, without any juice or seasoning, and smells like cat food. And if I ask for the seasoning like it has with the peppers and onions, they act like they have no clue what Im talking about, so I just gave up on asking. My husband alternates between queso enchiladas and steak and eggs... The steak and eggs are never consistent. The meat is often seasoned differently and recently they started to ask how he wants his steak cooked (its a very thin steak, theres no way to cook it any other way than well), sometimes they dont. Its usually perfect when they dont ask and cold if they do ask. The service has also suffered. They have one waiter that is always good, I think his name is Rogelio. If youre in any other section, youre mostly ignored. Weve had poor experience after poor experience the last few months and wont be coming back for awhile, if at all. Weve been going to Pollys since the Mi Cocina days and are so disappointed with the changes over the last few months.

I have a special love for Pollys Cocina stemming from years of weekly breakfasts with my best friend while sitting in the warm and welcoming atmosphere. My only suggestion/comment about service is regarding the drive thru. There has always been a smiling face and welcoming tone with the employees at the window. The only question weve had for a long time is why it seems to take so long to pick up chips, salsa, and queso at the drive thru. It seems simple to someone like me who has never worked in food service. It seems like the bag would quickly be filled with chips, pour salsa in a cup, and scoop queso into a cup; however, we often wait for quite a bit for our order to be ready. Im sure there are steps Im just not thinking of and this is DEFINITELY NOT a complaint!! Its one of our favorite appetizers to pick up for our huge family!!!

When I askedwhy , the other staff member said, she told you we werent open yet. If she really thought I would have sat at the window for 30 minutes if I had known they werent open yet, then Im at a loss. By the way, Google has the business hours posted as 730am open every day of the week. Business hours arent posted at the window. How am I as a customer to know any different? The meal was good. The restaurant was full. It was Friday at 6:30. The parking lot was full as well... The chips were thin and crisp The red sauce was ok and not too spicy. The green sauce was great, be sure to ask for it if they dont bring it first. There was only one, normally 3, server tonight and he did great. The sour cream enchiladas were ok the Tortilla was a bit thick. The chicken tasted nice. Refried beans were nice and not over cooked or spicy. The rice was a good compliment to the plate. The ground beef on chalupas was bland and without spices or flavors. The crispy Tortilla was good and the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and guacamole were very good and Balanced well. We will return to try a few different items at this restaurant.

Drove out there to compare to another bkft taco place in town. Word of caution, these are not the small 5 tacos. 1.5 tacos had me feeling right. Brisket taco was amazing. The fatty brisket melted in your mouth with the egg and cheese while the tortilla provided some structure. The bacon taco needed the salsa (would like to go back to see if they did strip bacon instead of chopped). A bit out of the way from where we are, but they cooked it fresh, it tasted great, and I have some follow ups I need to check out. Ill be back.

Best menudo in town, reminds me of home back in El Paso Texas. Pair it with a breakfast taco and you have a good breakfast combination.

Fantastic food. Come for the great cuisine, stay for the servers who only partially pay attention. It wont matter if they get your order wrong, though. Everything is delicious.

Not sure what I would do without this little place. In my opinion this is the best, affordable hole in the wall restaurant in College Station. They have a drive thru window so you can call ahead and grab extremely good (non fast-food quality) meals that genuinely please everybody (at least in my family). Very friendly, local family oriented service as well!

Highly recommend this hole in the wall spot. Great Mexican food, friendly staff and a fun casual vibe with photos all over the walls. Would return if in the area. Good experience.

Have been going to Pollys Cocina for over 10+ years. I have no complaints. Busers, waiters/waitresses are friendly and respectful. Food is great also. Highly recommended if you havent been there.
