Im from Houston visiting Bryan College Station, this is the absolutely best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The food is top notch, very flavorful, very fresh, and the portions are more than adequate. The tortillas are homemade, not store bought. Salsa and pico are very fresh. We wished this restaurant was near us in Houston, we are definitely coming back. BTW, I wish I took a picture of the food before I inhaled it.

Really enjoyed our dishes today. It was brunchtime, and for those that love brunch extended they offer breakfast until 12:00. I loved the Tostadas with fajita beef. Loaded with fresh toppings and tasty meat! Alvacado Salad was divine. Husband had three soft tacos al lecarte with home made tortillas! He was stuffed by the first two. A new go to for our lunchtime break!

August 2024: Still 5 stars. Caminos continues to have awesome margaritas, food and service. September 2023: Best margaritas ever! My husband and I have been going to Caminos every week since we found this little gem a few months ago. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and everyone is very friendly. We always look forward to going and introducing the restaurant to our friends.

Fantastic Tex-Mex. I got one beef fajita enchilada and one cheese enchilada. They were great, as were the rice and beans. They used cheddar cheese, which I greatly prefer to American. Seemed like a good place for a margarita, too, but I was there for lunch on a work day. This is immediately my favorite Tex-Mex in BCS. Will return!

We celebrated my cousins graduation here with about 25 guests. It was our first visit & we were surprised by the delicious entrées, & superb customer service by Martha. She handled our large group with patience, a delightful personality & promptness. Our meals were served quickly & if something wasnt correct she was quick to rectify. We highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. All entrées were delicious, as per our group. Thanks Martha for handling our large group with such class!!!! Great Customer Service!!! The food was good. The shrimp tacos were a bit different than what Im used to. I think Caminos method was great. My issue had to of been with the service as a whole. My waitress got busy with a party that came in. We were very understanding, she cant be everywhere. However, when she came back her question was, Are yall good? When the salsa was gone, the drinks were low, and we had no saucers to eat our appetizers. The blinds were fully open with the sun beaming in our faces. I get that maybe it was our bad choice of seating, but the restaurant missed the care for us as customers. One of the guys brought us extra salsa, but didnt see we had no chips. So the salsa was wasted. They were all nice, but the overall service just needed a bit more work.

We sat outside in the shade, and ordered the torta birria. The portion size was large, my partner finished mine for me - and the avocado and vegetables extremely fresh. Everything was of good quality. I d like more spice to the birria, but my partner felt it hit the right note for him. Priced well, the only thing I d like is more frequent drink refills. It may have been we got forgotten outside. We were also a little rushed to leave by the waitress, when we wanted a leisurely lunch she wanted our plates back. Unfortunately, half of our meal wasn t so fun due to the large family who came for lunch after church and chose to have a shouted conversation right by our table as they departed for around 10 minutes. It ruined the ambience, and they could do with paying more attention in church about respect for others and grace. We will be back - but not on a Sunday, as clearly some of the customers leave a lot to be desired.

I tried calling to tell them I was going back, but couldn t because their line did not work. The menu is very Tex Mex. I expected something more authentic. Good salsa.

Wow, am I glad baseball practice got rained out!! We pass by this place all the time on our way to HEB. Tonight my wife just said out of the blue, why dont we try the new Mexican place on Wellborn? This is officially my new favorite place in College Station. The salsa was hands down the best in town by a wide margin. It was roasted and spicy and warm with a lime undertone. My wife and son always have cheese enchiladas with queso so its hard to judge a Mexican restaurant by their order. I, however, will order anything on the menu. I tried the carne de michoacan and it was seriously one of the best things Ive eaten in recent memory!! We will be going back as frequent visitors, and I will be telling everybody I know about this place. If you havent tried it, go there soon.

Sometimes you want to go out and spend an evening with friends, sometimes you want to feed your daughter and her friend and get back to the casa! That was tonight. This was our first time and they hit the homerun!!! I tried to post my video of my sizzling fajitas but couldnt!

Place was recommended by our nephew who said they had goo excellent quesa birrias and hot salsa. The chips with salsa was on point. The salsa is served hot and has a decent amount of spice to make you keep digging at it. The birria tacos had very good flavor although the quality of the meat was a bit subpar. To much gristle for our taste but overall flavor was good. Also had the shrimp cocktail. Excellent flavor, I just wish it was a bit bigger since I was left wanting more. Service was very excellent and prompt, definitely coming back. Thank you!

If you like warm and spicy salsa, this is your place. They have a big menu with good variety Mexican food. Has a bit different flair than your everyday Mexican restaurant.

It was classic TexMex. Ok,not extraordinary. Reasonably priced and fair portions. Also you dont have to travel to busier parts of town to enjoy decent fair.

Camino s is a Mexican cafe that isn t very memorable and just failed to stand out from the rest. There is easily at least 20+ different Mexican restaurants in town and with Camino s you can do much better going elsewhere but you can also do much worst, which is why it s just a middle of the pack or average for the best Mexican restaurants in town. Really wanted to leave two stars due to the staff, our waitress was extremely impatient when we were deciding what to order, she came to the table at least three times asking if we were ready even though we were still looking through our menus, took us about 15 minutes to decide so it wasn t like we took an hour or something. Then when we were about halfway done eating she asked if we needed anything else and how many to go boxes did we need... seriously rushing us this whole meal which was also just bland, beans had no flavor, beef fajita also had barely to no flavor and the Queso was even room temperature. Food looked great as you can tell from the pictures below but pictures are definitely deceiving as most of the food had no flavor. Chips seemed homemade and tasted great but was really hoping for a new best place in town but definitely won t be coming back.

We literally stood in the entry for 20 minutes while no one even acknowledged an entire group of people. Several groups waiting that had been there longer than me. No one could even take the time to say just one moment . One of the weirdest experiences ever. Drove 15 minutes to get here and had to leave...so weird and disappointing. Workers standing around looking at us waiting to be seated and several tables open??? So odd

The prices are a little high because the food lacks flavor and due to some added ingredients it is becoming Tex-Mex food, taking away the traditional aspect of Michoacan food.

Nice clean place to enjoy a meal. Service was quick & without error and the food was good. They have the typical fair found in most Mexican restaurants around town. My friends and I did note that it seemed a little higher priced than other Mexican restaurants in town. Will dine their again.

Only missing full bar or would be 5 stars. Its great tex-mex and open Sundays. Had beef fajita tacos, beans and rice. As good as most. Warm (heated) salsa served with good chips. Cold draft beer, tall glasses. Again, prefer margarita when having tacos, but dont do wine based, tequila only thing that was missing here.
