Visited Texas A&M to meet with a friend and got a chance to visit this iconic bell tower. The 138 ft tall Albritton Bell Tower is a prominent feature on Texas A&Ms campus since 1984. It was donated by Ford D. Albritton Jr. The cornerstone holds a time capsule, awaiting the class of 2076, A&Ms bicentennial year. With its 49 carillon bells, weighing 17 tons, it resonates with Westminster chimes, marking time and honoring special occasions with melodies like The Spirit of Aggieland and hymns for Silver Taps. This is one of iconic and scenic spots on the Texas A&M Universality main campus. The bell tower rings every hour and there is a special aggies song on game days. GIGEM!
