We went to the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1st and it was fantastic! Seeing them light up an oak tree that is over 400 years old was awesome. We got to see Santa and the Grinch. They had a snow hill slide, bouncy houses, singers, dancers and much more!

Small park that would be lovely if the ground would just stay dry.

5/5 for the Live Oak tree itself but pretty minimal park. Very clean and nice grass but not much else to do other than enjoy the HUGE tree. If you like history, this is worth a visit (historical marker for the tree itself). If you want activities other than walking, maybe skip. (Btw there is a light show where they string tens of thousands of lights on the Live Oak. Would be great for kids. Only at night and weather permitting). Dog-friendliness: Huge grassy area. Lots of walking paths around the park. The park itself is completely surrounded by roads, so be cautious. Picnic area: Three or four tables for eating. Nice grass

Superb Christmas lights display in this 400 year old oak tree. You can walk around the tree, take pics, and they even have a sleigh to sit in. Magical!

If you need a place to eat lunch this is the spot. There is no trash cans or bathrooms but it is quiet. This is probably because there arent any people there.

Amazing Oak tree, park needs to be mowed other than a little yard work and Christmas lights taken off the beautiful oak I enjoyed myself.
