Was not expecting this eatery to be that Good. It was Great. Fresh tasting and properly prepared. The portions were generous. Staff seemed engaged. The Great Greek is indeed GREAT. Vegetarian options: Hummus. Parking: Tons of parking.

Dietary restrictions: I m pre-diabetic But TGG food here doesnt cause blood sugar spikes. So its good to eat late at night without worrying about blood sugar spike.. Im Asian, so I can t live without rice~ but Im so happy that theres an option of delicious rice here. Its become out familys Sunday routine to eat here every Sunday lunch and have family time together~~ Of course, my teenagers love it, too. Especially feta fries! The dessert here is also great. I always eat Baklava ice cream on my cheating day~~ OMG I want it now~~ Can t stop thinking of this food~~~

* Service was good and fast. * Food quality and variety must improve. * Got a large Greek salad + Falafel and couldnt justify the price paid for it. * Salad was 95% lettuce, with a few slices of onion, tiny slices of cucumbers, tomatoes, olives. Falafels - much smaller in size and blander than what Ive had usually. * Actually, Lettuce is not part of the original Greek salad at all, so Id rename this item as The Great(k) Lettuce Mix. * I wish they use correct ingredients - good quality feta and olives, no lettuce, green bell pepper, olive oil and Oregano to make proper Green salad. Vegetarian options: * Not many vegetarian options. * Rice bowl salad is actually not vegetarian (thanks to the cashier pointing it out)

Its a very simple no fuss place but the food is great! The flavors are wonderful and balanced without too much salt or vinegar in dips and dressings. We enjoyed everything we ordered! The pita breads are fluffy and soft, the meat is juicy, the shrimps are big and full of flavor! Oh and the fries were sooooo good! Have to go back soon to try the desserts!

Stopped in for lunch recently. I tried something that I hadn t had before. It was a Greek salad rice bowl. It was delicious. I did order a pita to go with it. I do love their delicious gyros, but this was very refreshing and I will definitely order it again ! Kid-friendliness: Kid Meals available. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking available. Van accessible ramp up to sidewalk property is ground level and plenty of room inside to park a wheelchair at one of the tables.

So happy to find this place as I was starting to give up on finding a great gyro locally. One thing you can always count on with great Greek restaurants is gyros and amazing fries and this place does not disappoint. Right at the corner of Ronald Regan and Whitestone, tucked behind the specs. This was only my first time so I will be headed back to try other items. Highly recommend, 5 out of 5. Absolutely wonderful, my very first time trying lamb and this place was so good. The lamb was cooked exactly how I ordered it and was very flavorful as well as the rice. It was even good left over and I never eat left over rice! The service was great as well, greeted as soon as we walked in with a smile and a hi how are you . It was my first time here. The place gives off a funny vibe. Its newly opened and I think they have some kinks to work out. Order taking is clunky, and the menu is a little difficult to sort out. What I did eat was very good. I think this place has great potential. A little off the beaten path, I hope people discover it sooner rather than later. Our family stopped by this establishment while visiting Austin area. We had the steak, Shrimp and chicken entrees, gyro wrap and hummus. Food was great, we especially enjoyed the steak and shrimp. The food at the Great Greek is just amazing, and the staff are great. I ve gotten souvlaki (kebabs) here multiple times and each time the lamb and the chicken or the steak are cooked to perfection! And love the spices on the lemon potatoes! Went here after a stressful saturday evening locking in on my studies. Have never felt so rejuvenated after the food. As a burnt out and borderline insane student, my meal here made me forget all of my problems with school, life, and the world. The bite into the chicken skewer put me in the shoes of nara smith. Suddently I have the motivation to wake up at 6am to pick out fresh wheat from my backyard farm to make bread for my 3 kids. The crunch of the romaine lettuce mixed with the rich and flavor packed dressing and feta cheese transported me into an alternate reality where Im a nepo baby who spends her days going out buying $8 coffees and busting my wallet on lululemon, whose only worries are figuring out where I can recharge my tesla cybertruck and when my 20th stanley cup would be coming in the mail. The food and service is great here, but the food is pricey for what you get. I also really didnt like that they charged me $1.50 for a very small container of extra tzatziki. Especially since I just bought an $18 gyro plate.

This Place! The Great Greek, ugh, nothing Great that is for sure. I have ordered the Lamb souvlaki, it was rare, meat still bouncing. so I asked to recooked it, ive waited for about 25 mins and came back charred . It was hard and chewy. Lets talk about my husbands order , it was the gyro sandwich, it taste and feels synthetic. Its like paper mache. Sorry, i just cant, nothing taste like real Greek food in this restaurant in my opinion. I dont know if the place is new, maybe thats why. It needs more improvent for sure.

It was ok. I have had better abs Ive had worse Mediterranean food. I loved the baklava Ive cream, it was a great dessert after an under-seasoned lunch. We will go back. The pilaf was really good and we want to try again. 3.5 stars

** Update on another visit below ** Opening review: Went their opening week on Sept 12th. We are a Senior couple and the food was very good and we thought the portions were large. My Husband got the Great Greek Gyro (Lamb) and he could not finish it and had a smile on his face the whole time. I got the Mezze plate and Avgolemono Soup. Everything was delish and was plenty for me. The Pita bread was fantastic. The service was good and I would assume it will improve as the new staff gets more familiar with the menu. Also we notice a Now Hiring sign so they may be a bit short handed. It was real busy and the line was to the door. So the wait was a bit longer than normal but again I chalk that up to being new and the staff working through a few kinks maybe. We will definitely be going back and the prices were good for the amount of food we got. Also we liked that everything was made to order and served on real plates and bowls with silverware. So overall we give this a 4 1/2 Stars. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Update 23 January 2024** 3rd visit Added a picture of our Great Greek Gyro from 23 Jan 2024 that we got for take out. As you can see there is plenty of food in just this one item. Like before it was excellent for me and my wife. It was so big it feeds both of us as a good lunch when paired with their rice. The restaurant is very clean and the staff has gotten the hang of items and seems to work smoothly. For the money spent we think it is a good value. Quality Food and labor is not cheap and they do a good job on both fronts in our opinion. Will update after a few more visits to report on there one year anniversary.

Ordered delivery and was blown away about how good the food was and the serving sizes were amazing. Got the steak, gyro, chicken, pitas, salads, and hummus. Steak was cooked EXACTLY to order that was perfect, which is not common in my experience. We also got a kids meal with chicken strips and fries, which I would easily recommend for anyone not wanting Greek. It was delivered perfectly packed with everything included. I look forward to eating here again.

Ordered takeout for lunch, and got a Falafel Pita combo with a side salad. The service was fantastic and quick given the crowds! The lady working the register was so kind. The Pita was good and the falafel tasted fresh, but it had entirely too much tzatziki sauce and hummus on it - it was hard to eat with so much sauce. And they didn t include silverware or napkins in the takeout bag. Otherwise I think it would ve been perfect. The restaurant looked clean, organized, and had plenty of seating for the lunch rush. I ll be back to give it another try with family.

When this place first opened late summer of last year, we were excited to try it. The food was really good and we have been back several times. While the food is still really good, it is very pricey and the service is slipping. The last few visits, the experience with the staff has not been great. On a recent visits, the tea urn was empty and when my husband asked if they had tea behind the counter to fill his cup, the lady said the urn was full. My husband assured her is was not. She told him to tip the urn to get the tea and he explained tipping an empty urn was not going to produce tea. Yesterday, we were behind a lady that had a voucher for free rice. After ten minutes of back and forth, they finally gave the lady the rice, then after she was seated with her bowl of rice an employee came up to her and told her she couldnt figure out the voucher and the lady needed to pay for the rice. Instead of the restaurant just letting the lady have her $6 bowl of rice, they made her pay for it. It came our turn to order and when it was delivered, instead of being gyro combos, they had given us plate combos, but the tzatziki sauce was missing. I asked my husband if he would get some tzatziki sauce - he did but they made him pay for it!!!! I have gotten the plate combo several times Ive eaten there and a little cup of sauce always came on the plate and now it appears theyre charging for the sauce!! This place is already expensive and now theyre going to nickel and dime the customers for something that used to be included. Our lunch yesterday was our last meal at this restaurant.

I probably won t go again. The beef/lamb gyro sandwich was subpar. The meet was so dry it was like it was days old and like jerky. My husbands chicken gyro was very dried out too. Eggplant dip was mediocre. I will be traveling to Greece in summer and was hoping to try some Greek flavors. This can t be anywhere close to what it s supposed to be. Very disappointed for the money I paid. I don t recommend it.
