The Isle has been the biggest blessing to our whole family. Both of my parents have been residents here for almost 2 years now. The level of care, support & love has just been wonderful. All of the care takers & staff are just incredible! We are forever grateful!!

My brothers and I have extensive experience with assisted living facilities, as both of our parents had strokes nine years ago and have resided in various communities. I can confidently say that, in all the dimensions I look for in a community, Isle at Cedar Ridge stands out. First and foremost, the culture of the place is excellent. A positive culture does not happen by accident; it requires dedicated effort. From my experience, the staff are accountable and genuinely care about the residents. My mother has never been left alone or ignored. The activities program is exceptional and very inclusive. My mother literally never misses an activity, and I want to give a special shout-out to Monique and Ruth for their hard work. Everyone is encouraged to participate, including family, friends, and staff. I even dressed as a dancing shamrock for St. Patricks Day, while my brother was a giant leprechaun! In the future, I plan to lead a Hippie Day. I should also note that they organize off-site activities with a van to take the residents around. Additionally, there are various care options available. Depending on my mother s health classification and needs, she sometimes receives occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. Like the activities, she never misses an exercise class if she can help it. The people who staff the front desk are always very helpful and welcoming, and keep an eye out for all the residents. The cafeteria is the best I have seen among similar facilities, and the dining staff know how to prepare food while being accountable for her dietary needs. What I appreciate most is that my mom has made friends there, and people genuinely look out for her, which is not always the case in other places. I cannot thank the frontline care staff enough the people who directly assist my mom as a severe stroke survivor. Their work truly is a calling. I should also note that the facility is very clean and spacious. Frankly, I have never smelled urine in the hallways or in my mothers room, unlike other places my parents have been. My brothers and I wholeheartedly give Isle at Cedar Ridge our highest recommendation. A special shout-out to Meghan, who made my mom feel comfortable during her move to Cedar Ridge, and to Jacque for leading this wonderful place. And of course, to Tucker, the sweetest mini Aussie in the world.

My mom has been a resident of The Isle at Cedar Ridge for 10 days now, and I am so pleased with the care she is receiving and how smoothly her transition to an assisted living environment has gone. I toured several assisted living communities in the northern suburbs of Austin while Mom was living in an independent living community and had chosen The Isle as the best fit for her when she needed more assistance, but it has turned out to be even better than I anticipated! Mom made the transition to assisted living after being hospitalized for influenza; she was very weak and not really herself (and I was super stressed!) when we moved her in. The kindness we both received from EVERYONE at The Isle has been incredible! Just to name a few The Directory of Health Services, Arica, helped me set Mom up with a PCP who is excellent and who visits The Isle weekly. Arica and her staff not only immediately coordinated administration of all my mom s medications/treatments (including supplemental oxygen and nebulized medications), Arica also knows all the specifics of my mom s medical situation off the top of her head when I call her (she must have an amazing memory!). It really makes me feel confident that, during a medically complex time, my mom is getting great care. The entire therapy staff (physical, occupational, speech; Select Rehabilitation) at The Isle is phenomenal! My mom has been receiving daily therapy as her time in the hospital weakened her, so she needs a wheelchair now. I have every confidence that she won t need it for long with Mei, Dwayne, Amy and Ashley working with her! These guys already know (and treat) Mom as a person that they value, and they are working hard to help her get better! The caregivers at The Isle (shout out to Darla, Diane, Ali and Casey) have also been so kind to my mom! She was really scared when she moved in in addition to being moved from the ER to hospital to in-patient rehab before landing at The Isle she s dealing with 24/7 oxygen use and the wheelchair. She also was living independently before, so needing to rely on people she just met for pretty much everything was very new. I am so grateful to these women for their care! There are so many more people at The Isle that deserve mention Megan for being so supportive to me (because it is a pretty stressful time when you are responsible for the care of your ill, elderly parent); Ruth for arranging a packed schedule of daily activities that my mom absolutely LOVES; Jacque (who is a nurse in addition to being the Ex Director) for being so open in her communication and inspiring confidence in her team; Andrew, who is so helpful and friendly and who knows where everything is; and Rose, who, just today, drove my mom (in her wheelchair) in a bus to a doctor s appointment and made me so grateful I didn t have to work out transferring her from the wheelchair to my car and back. When you tour assisted living facilities, to be honest, it really isn t your favorite day. But, I really felt like the vibe was good at The Isle and I decided, almost a year ago now, to trust them with caring for my mom when the time came that she needed it. Well, the time came this December on the heels of the flu, and I could not be more glad that I made the choice I did!

I normally do not write reviews for places I work but this community has been a second home to me for over 3 years now. I have worked my entire career in senior living and this company is really great to work for, they really do care for their employees and the residents that live there. The community speaks for itself, it is homelike and welcoming from all the members of staff to the residents that live there, everyone is made to feel right at home. If you are looking for a job or a new home, come visit the Isle and check it out!

I love living here. I have lived here for the past 2 1/2 years. I am a 53-year-old man living with a chronic disability. I have developed a close relationship with several of the staff over those 2 1/2 years. Several of the reviews listed below are unkind. I can only speak from my experience and say that the team here is very caring and professional. Starting with the management staff, Kim is very capable director of the facility. She is friendly, cheerful, and is willing to resolve issues even after hours. Pam is the director of nursing and she has been here for The longest of the staff members. She is very firm and fair with both her team of caregivers and nurses as well as residents . Pam is a very visible presence among her care team and she and I have discussed openly any issue that comes up. Being an effective director of nursing requires balancing many factors at once in the large community. Pam is one of the best I have ever seen at doing this job. Megan is a bright spot in the facility. The food has improved tremendously in the time I ve been here. They have two options for meals on the lunch and dinner menus and if those do not interest me, I can always order something from the Anytime menu. The caregiver team Is excellent. Jackie gives me three showers a week and feeds me frequently. We always have lively conversation and listen to good music. I also really like working with Drea, Tiffany, Brooke, Nique , and Chris. Georgenia has taken great care of me for a few years. We have frequent discussions about our families. Many of these people are very close to me and I consider all of them friends of mine. All of the staff, caregivers, and residents are in community together. We have to share time and resources as communities do. Everything is not perfect all the time, but we do work together to resolve issues and reach solutions best for all. David Nail

I give this place a 4 and a half Star! Ive been visiting this place for a lot of times. Since I have a grandma live in this place and sometimes I accept job for some resident for companionship. And I observed a lot on this place. There is bad and good but most of it 85% good. Why??? Heres my reasons but 1st lets go to the few bad ones (literally a few) 1. This place is always understaffed. 2. A lot of GOOD caregivers is gone or resigned? (Probably due to cant carry the work load or pressure) Good ones; 1. This place makes your loveones so loved and active. Love, and being cared by the caregivers, nurses and med aid. 2. This place makes them more active. The DOA always is on point for the daily activities of the residents. Everyone in the Activity group always makes or sure that the activities for residents is always fun and feel the love everyday. 3. The DON/DOH Pam is a very sensitive enough to listen the needs for the caregivers and residents. This is the only DOH Ive ever seen and saw, work on the floor like what the caregivers does. Thats why I know they understaffed, because I saw her working on the flr as a caregiver. She work above and beyond and I so amazed! She ROCKED it! The Isle Ridge should be thankful and treasure to have her. I seldom see an EXECUTIVE work like that! 4. The caregivers is so swesome and always give a smile when they offer help and so courteous too. Let me name some of them I know and observe during my visits on the afternoon or evening. Georgina or Gorgina, shes always takes care of the residents in 3rd flr. Observe her (as much as she could) always answers the call with a polite voice and an apology if the residents call waited for long. I wonder where is she now I dont see her anymore working on 3rd flr. (I do hope shes still in this facility or else this facility loses another wonderful caregiver. One more caregiver name Ana Pricard or Anna Richard???? Sorry hardly remember, its been a while been there. This lady is doing some awesome job on my grandma and grandpa and I guess she do it too such care and love to all of the residents. Before I saw her most of the time on the 1st flr but lately shes like a runner/floater in all forms (1st, 2nd and 3rd flr) shes very energetic and always put a smile on her face looks like she dont have a bad day! Her attitude gives a good vibes to all residents she takes care with. Every time a saw her shes working, I knew right away that my grandma and grandpa or all of the residents whom she takes care with is in a good hands. Please hire some more caregiver like them. Oh! Dont get me wrong please, all caregivers is awesome but as I said theyd ones I remember most of the time I visit or do a part time job for some of the residents. 5. All in all from the ED Kim and the entire staff did a good job in this facility. I always recommend this place to the families who needs a place for their loveones to live. If you read a bad reviews in this place, please try to look how old is the review. Visit this place and try to observe I will guarentee this place is a good place.

Ive been playing music for the residents of the Isle at Cedar Ridge for several years now. I love playing here. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the residents themselves are fun and welcoming. The facility itself, which I see as I walk from the front entrance to the dining hall where I play, is clean and orderly. Seems like a nice place to spend ones retirement years.

When I was looking for assisted living for my parents, I was impressed by all the daily activities on the monthly activity calendar at the Isle - and that was a big factor in selecting their new home. I have had the opportunity to interact with the staff since my parents moved there over a year ago and I have found everyone to be just what my parents want and need.

Where do I start, I rated 1 star but should be negative 1! Caregivers response time is horrifying! Severely Understaffed ! Ant and Roach infestation, ants in my moms bed and her hair, that was after Supposedly professional exterminator had serviced 3 times. The new director is trying but she is on an uphill battle with extremely poor support from corporate! The biggest instigator is Director of Wellness Pam Scott. Extremely poor management skills and very unprofessional. If your looking to apply for a position run fast the opposite direction this woman treats the staff horribly. Thank God we got my mother out of this place before they killed her!

Their care is awful, they take 2 hours to show once they are called and that is after a family has called or tracked someone down. They left my Mom in the her room without her Oxygen on more than one occasion. I think the problem is Pam the person in charge of the care givers and nursing, but corporate is no better. Thank God we got her out of this nightmare before they killed her!! Do not put anyone you care about in this place and dont let the looks deceive you!

This beautiful place is severely understaffed and once the business was sold to a corporate company, everything went down hill. Travis, the director, is an angry know it all that gets very defensive when anything is pointed out about the facility. Liz is AMAZING but there s only so much she can do especially since she is in charge of all of the patients within the facility. (Along with others, supposedly) We pay extra for my loved one to get special care and my loved one is treated no different then anyone else at the place. It s a ghost town whenever you go to visit. It s a shame because this facility is beautiful but unfortunately they now only care about making money NOT about making the lives of the elderly wonderful.

This place is terribly understaffed, and if you talk to Adam who is the director, look real close because if you see his lips moving he is lying! Do not put your loved ones thru this. And this is no reflection on the staff who most are untrained and some are very good, this is nothing but a very poor management issue.
