My wife had to come to DFW for a work conference, and I met her here on Thursday to travel back over the weekend. We ended up at Saltgrass Steak House thru a suggestion from a friend that lives in this area. We ordered the Bacon wrapped quail for appetizer, a ribeye with sweet potato fries and a potato soup, and a Maudees Center cut fillet with baked sweet potato and a chicken tortilla soup. All the dishes had excellent flavor and were portioned adequately. Price was reasonable and the service was great. The parking lot was almost full, but they had a table for us ready when we walked in. We will add this restaurant to the list of places to return to.

The only time I was a bit disappointed was during Covid & they no longer had the crab cakes on the menu...lol My wife & I were a little upset about that! The crab cakes are back ... First of all, Michael wasn t even our server, but went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met! It was greatly appreciated. Our server Haley was amazing as well even though she was busy serving the entire bar area. I m sure this is why Michael was extra attentive but it was outstanding for him to assist his colleague during rush hour. We ll be sure to ask for either of them next visit!

I have visited this location for years living in Cedar Hill. Dining on Friday September 27,2024 @5:30pm was very disappointed in the service that was provided. Seated and waiting patiently for myself and my wife order to be taken sat there for over 20 minutes while 3 other guest that walked in behind us. There orders were taken went up to Management staff and his response was cant due anything you will have to wait. I am very disappointed in Salt Grass for the inconsiderate service my your Management staff. Left restaurant. Please correct your Management. Highly DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Rate service tonight as 5+ due to our server, Jabroderick J Morris. Not sure how he could have been better in all aspects of making us enjoy the evening. Then, the food tonight was perfect. The 9oz. The food quality was terrible, country fried steak was not eatable, it was removed from the bill. Pats ribeye want even a choice quality, so much gristle it was difficult to cut or chew. The waitress asked if I wanted a togo box while I was cutting my next bite! Very disappointed and wont ever come back

The service, drinks and atmosphere are always exceptional and Ashley is amazing, friendly and attentive whether behind the bar or on the floor. The food only gets a 4 because it s a little inconsistent. Sometimes the steaks a little too medium well, the Mac and cheese may be dry or the brussel sprouts are charred with no sauce. Mostly it s great but it s a bit of a gamble with the food.

Ive enjoyed dining at Salt Grass Steakhouse in Cedar Hill on a couple of occasions recently. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. However, both visits were slightly less enjoyable due to nearby guests who strongly smelled of marijuana. This was particularly concerning for those with respiratory issues. To enhance the dining experience for all, I suggest implementing some sort of restaurant customer conduct policy that addresses such issues, ensuring that one tables habits do not detract from the enjoyment of others or t potential medical conditions such as asthma or sensitivity to smells being triggered.

Tried this restaurant for the first time. I will never go back. Did a simple to go order. My steak was missing. Thankfully I noticed it before I left. But in the end it didnt matter because I threw all the food away. I ordered my steak medium. It was very well done and lacked seasoning. It was disgusting and I didnt bother to call and go back because even if it had been cooked to the right temperature it still would not have been good. I also ordered some cheese sticks for my kiddo. He would not eat them. They had a funny taste on the outside that coated your tongue. Just had all around. I gave three stars for service because although it was very busy, the servers were doing their best.

I havent posted in a while, but this needs the management and public attention. My daughter arrived in town out for a nice meal with the family. To say we had the worst service and the worse meal would be an understatement. I couldnt recommend any dish we ordered. Our server explained that they were training 3 new cooks, the reason our food took over 1 hour and a half to be served. Which was completely all wrong. Im sorry if the cooks were new. I decided to give this location a try by making a reservation for a special occasion but they never mentioned it. I went around 1 pm so I could beat the usual traffic as the place went full shortly after I arrived. The food was decent and the selection was nice. The server was very nice and attentive. We celebrated my moms birthday here. As a big family (13) it is sometimes hard to get reservations or seating for all of us. Luckily we were accommodated and served by our wonderful server Cayela. This is my 3rd experience at salt grass in cedar hill my waitress was Marshay Smith! She was the best experience I could ask for in a server she made me feel comfortable and exceeded my expectations in service and I never had to ask for a refill and my steak was made to perfection I couldn t have asked for a better waitress. Marshay had a great conversation and when I say she had a great personality and was so pleasant is an understatement. Marshay really gave me a great experience and everything I asked for she provided! I am an Lsc member that just celebrated my anniversary with my husband so the fact that he was impressed with her service as well she went above and beyond! We left full with leftovers and definitely plan on returning to experience another date with her great service I truly recommend her becoming a trainer to teach others how to have great customer service like her!!!!!!!

I went and ate at the cedar Hill location and I was having a bad day, until I met my server Marshay she was so helpful when it came to the menu, attentive and professional. Everything was great! The manager Jennifer came and checked on us with a friendly greeting. I really enjoyed my visit.
