Its exactly five years since visiting the Smoking Jacket Cigar Lounge in Cedar Hill. Five years ago I would not have given 5 stars, however, they deserve it now IMO. Open entering the establishment I was warmly greeted by the manager and I let him know that I was first there 5 years ago. He followed me to the well stocked humidor and preceded to show me the selection of cigars he had in stock. I told him that I prefer the larger gauge cigars and informed me that he had just run out of the large gauge 7 x 70 that I prefer, however he did suggest be two of the largest sticks in the humidor that he said were popular. One of them was a hand rolled barber pole type cigar. I took his suggestion and paid for the two sticks. I then proceeded to look around the main room of the Smoking Jacket and I noticed a huge change in its appearance. The main smoking are was filled with B&SOTL just chopping it up and enjoying the DJ doing his thing while they enjoying their favorite cigars. Still not my favorite music but again, Im from a different era, Snd from Brooklyn, New York. Im a house head and there s not much of that type of music here in the Lone Star State. I was able to secure a table in another area of the lounge just off the main area and separated by a wall. I believe there was an opening in that wall five years ago but I could be mistaken. I saw about ten B&SOTL that I knew from visiting other lounges and that made me feel at ease and at home! I enjoyed my first cigar relaxing at my table with a can of ginger ale and a glass with ice and trying to take in the music the DJ was playing. It was hit or miss for me. The second cigar ( hand rolled barber pole type ) I decided to go outside and sit on one of the wrought iron seat outside the entrance. The whole are resembled a type of plaza with no cars allowed. The weather was great and I enjoyed the second stick even though it was not my usual large gauge 7by 70. I would definitely return to the Smoking Jacket in the future. It was a pleasurable experience and one that I was not expecting since my first visit in 2018. I would recommend Smoking Jacket if you like a lively energetic atmosphere. If not, there is always the outdoor patio which stretches around the establishment on one side for a little quiet cigar experience

I used to live here and was back visiting. I googled and found this lounge. I was excited because the ladies owned the spot. This was the most unfriendly lounge Ive ever been to. When we walked in no one spoke. Probably because of the heated debate. The Humidor is nice. I got the triple ligero house stick and it was very good. Lounge is nice. They have seats and tables and chairs. I saw they have a jack rabbit so they invested in their system. I was surprised that this is how they treat first time customers. I will say a couple of gentlemen that came from the back spoke to us. Other than that I felt like I was wrong for walking in. Total opposite of the first lounge I went in.

The lady at the cash register with the short blonde mowhawk was very rude. Charged me. 10 dollars just to use the restroom when the rest of my crew five deep paid for a cigar. I didn t even get a damn cigar with my 10 dollar wrist band to use the restroom and she should have offered as that as what everyone else was getting when they purchased a 10 dollar cigar. She makes the business look bad. Sad our people have to act like that with their own people. She needs to leave in order to keep the decorum positive and fair.

I do not smoke anything, I came along with friends for the experience. It was worth the $10 to just watch the man candy roaming around. Ladies grab your friends, a great bottle of wine, and a charcuterie board, rich desserts and prepare to man watch!! ITS BYOB...If you want to learn about cigars the tall beautiful nubian lady and her cuban looking husband are excellent. Customer service is unsurpassed!! All they need is a jazz acoustic guitar. They have a upstairs private room and patio seating. Perfect place for bachelor and bachelorette parties as well as fathers day events.

I bought 2 cigars from here on a Friday evening and went back to smoke them today (Sunday) when I had the time. This was actually my 2nd time visiting where I bought a cigar and a torch last week. I simply asked to have the cigar I bought from this place cut to smoke and was told I have to buy it the same day just to cut it. So you won t cut your own cigar?!? Ok, hospitality will take a business much further than poor service. Will be my last visit and there is 2 more cigar lounges 3-4 minutes away. I still wish them much success.

What an interesting Sunday outing!! I had a great time at this location for an evening with friends. Pros: Great selection of cigars and excellent music. They welcome you to bring outside food and drinks in. Very clean bathroom. Cons: $10 entry fee regardless if you are smoking or not and if you are inside or outside. There is only one bathroom in the location and there is often a line.

The Smoking jacket cigar lounge is for the Mature Cigar smokers. The owner Mrs.Roz very educated in her wide selection of Cigars. She Greats everyone professionally an with a warm smile. The outside patio of the smoking jacket can almost be considered the outside lounge because of its size and space with many comfortable chairs with a big screen outside in the patio tunnel. The Jacket will occassionally have a live band thats amazing to enjoy. If you wanna smoke an are in the area of Cedar hill Duncanville Desoto Arlington please come to the Smoking Jacket where you will really enjoy yourself and meet some Great people.

This was my first time visiting Smoking Jacket. The walk-in humidor is small with a limited selection and if you want alcohol it is BYOB, nor did they have cappuccino which is a great pairing with my favorite cigars. Those are the only negatives for me. The atmosphere is nice and it seemed like the majority of customers were regulars. I might go back solely because its black-owned but Im still looking for a cigar bar and lounge to call home.

I was there with a member on Cinco, and we bought cigars and went to enjoy them upstairs. And a few min later my brother in law who is a member asked if I would like a margarita he said they are complimentary so I went to ask for one and the gentleman at the front desk Chuck doesnt understanding how to approach someone. I understand customer service and what it looks like to be greeted by a professional. I am also in the service business. He Chuck needs training. If he is the face of your business, good luck. After my experience, I will not return, nor will I extend an offer to anyone. Treat everyone like they are VIP, and you will have to push your walls out because people want to be at your place because they felt special.

The DJ was bananas on Thursday night. Black owned, black managed and just plain friendly, homely atmosphere. Patrons were sociable. Either pay a $10 cutting/setup fee or buy a cigar. My favorite stick (Pordomo 10th Anniversary) was $10 so all worked out. They have an upstairs and TVs all around. I was able to watch the TNT NBA game as well as the Mavs game. Every other TV was switched so you could see both games no matter where you were sitting. They have dominoes for those serious about bones. You can bring in your own food and liquor. A vending machine with chips is in the back. Great, great experience.
