Used to love coming here because my family & I enjoy the food but the service is pathetic. If you re Hispanic don t count on being a top priority to the waitresses. There have been several occasions where we go almost our whole meal without a refill & tonight I asked for forks & instead the waitress went to get another table drinks. It wasn t until someone from my table got up to get them herself that the waitress tried bringing forks to us. My party is always left unattended while other groups of different ethnicities than I get above & beyond service. I have always spent good money here but after another disappointing night, it ll be the last time.

We loved all the sushi rolls we got, especially the sexy roll! It was not very busy for a Saturday noon, and so the service was on point. They provided us with plenty of recommendations which was helpful since it was our first time. I thought that the fish was fresh and the rolls were reasonably priced. Will be coming back.

I really enjoyed having dinner here. I have arrived around 7pm and it was quite peaceful with so few customers. For supper I ordered Monkey Brains & the Rainbow Roll and the restaurant even gave me a bowl of miso soup which was on the house. It was all very tasty but I do recommend buying a bowl of miso as I did on top of the 1st bowl they gave for free. The miso soup they make is phenomenal! Its made with a bit of dashi and its perfectly seasoned. I also ordered several containers of hot sake which is umm maybe 6 or 7 shots per container if you order large. For the hot sake i ordered 1 container of Fuji apple and 2 containers of purple sake. The purple sake hits harder than the Fuji apple but the apple has got a wonder flavor to it which I bet the ladies would enjoy. So if your significant other wants a bit of alcohol I would recommend the Fuji Apple which is normally served cold but you can request it be served as hot which in my opinion is perfect hot as it goes down easy. The Monkey Brain is quite large for an appetizer but I did absolutely enjoyed it and the Rainbow Roll is excellent also. The Rainbow Roll is the only sushi Ive seen on the menu that offers a variety of fish on a sushi roll. It consists of White Tail, Tuna, Salmon and shrimp with crab meat on the inside. Very tasty. I would recommend Hon Sushi if you so happen to be in the area. What a treat! Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that alows wheel chair users to get up to the restaurant but going through the door may be a tight fit for wheel chairs

Hon Sushi is the best sushi in North Dallas. The fish is always so fresh and the sushi roll combinations are fantastic. The rolls are generous - my husband and I typically get one signature roll apiece and split a standard roll at other sushi spots but weve found that the signature rolls are so filling, we dont need to split a third roll. They do a great job of rolling the sushi so it doesnt fall apart and isnt too big to fit in your mouth. Youre served complimentary miso soup, even with sushi rolls, and its delicious. We got edamame, chicken gyoza, two signature sushi rolls, and the complimentary soup for under $50. The staff is so attentive and kind throughout your meal. Im not really a Google review person but Im writing this review in hopes that more people will dine here - its truly a hidden gem that deserves recognition.

Food was ok. Not the greatest for the price but what got me was the waitress put about a quarter size amount of spicy mayo and when I asked for more she told me everyone is charging for this. I was like no, I eat sushi almost every single day not a single sushi place that I have been do charges for spicy mayo dine in. I mean if she would have at least filled the little container it is suppose to be in then It would have been enough. Anyways it killed the vibe for me. Especially when I told her it s ok never mind but she came and brought it and made sure to tell us for the 5th time that they charge extra for this. Ok I won t be back.

Not only are the staff/service fantastic and super friendly, but HonSushi also has plenty of great options for both long-time sushi lovers and sushi newbies. Many riceless options as well. My personal favorite roll is the Baked Salmon (I love the cream cheese) but lots of friends like the Rainbow rolls and Crunchy Shrimp, Crazy, and Hungry rolls. The fried rice and bentos (chicken teriyaki!!) are really good as well. And as seen in my photo, the boats in particular are great for sharing with family or friends! This is my favorite restaurant to go to for sushi. My husband took me here in 2016 and we go back as often as possible. So sad this is the first time Ive thought to check-in and right a review. The people working there are very nice and friendly and more than willing to make a recommendation if you ask for one. We always order the garlic edamame which is so yummy we often get full on that and have a hard time finishing our sushi...lol. This place has the biggest rolls of any place Ive ever been to. Weve never ordered it, but they have a boat full of sushi which always looks amazing when we see it being delivered to customers. My husband, who does not consider sushi a meal, never finishes his entire sushi roll and, trust me, this man can put it down. When I ask him if he wants to split the pork chop at Perrys with me he looks at my like Im crazy (and he always cleans his plate), but he has yet to be successful of finishing a sushi roll at Hons. On this most recent trip we ordered the O.M.G roll and the BFF roll and, just like everything else weve ordered from Hons, they did not disappoint.

We ate here several years ago and remember it being pretty good. However, we just had dinner today and felt that the quality had gone down hill big time. Everything was borderline inedible and we left everything unfinished. Each slice of raw fish was huge and chewy and served room temp. The chopped scallop was fishy tasting. I absolutely love this place! This has been my go-to for the past 4 years. The staff is the absolute best, food is always delicious and the place is always cleaned. I go there at least 3-4 times a month. I took my parents there to try sushi for the first time in their life and they loved it!! First let me start by saying Hon has been my go to for years for sushi. Great quality, never disappoints as far as taste and freshness. However I believe they have raised their prices within the last few months. I ordered 2 avocado rolls and a salmon roll for lunch as usual. The total came out to $21 as shown in picture. Again a great place with great quality food, but $21 is not reasonable lunch pricing especially for avocado rolls. Food earns 5 stars, lunch pricing is just unreasonable.

We visit the area on weekends regularly and Hons sushi is our must visit each time! My son always gets multiple orders of tuna rolls and squid legs. Glorious, magnificent sushi. The best Ive had in Dallas in my 10 years here, and some of the next Ive had anywhere in the US. Large portions, very fresh, beautifully made. I cant recommend this place highly enough.

Ive been going here for 6 months... It started as a celebration of changing work paths and had turned into an almost weekly obsession. How have I just now reviewed my FAVORITE sushi restaurant!?! Great service, amazing sushi and other non-sushi items abound. The biggest thing that sets them apart is the consistent great flavors, competitive prices and outstanding service. Im enjoying an ultimate albacore and honda roll for lunch now and cant get over how great they are.

The good: Really clean and nice ambience, its a relaxing place!. Excellent selection of sushis, sashimi, noodles, and appetizers. The food is super fresh and tasty, and good size portions. Good selection Japonese beer, and sake. Complementary miso soup, designated gender bathrooms very clean single user. They have designated parking spots for its customers. Service is amazing! Extremely polite and fast. They lunch special only for week day. Prices are really good, the three of us pay $80 ish and had two appetizers, sashimi, 3 special rolls, and a bottle of sake. The not so good: it could improve the wine selection (but its a preference, to be honest not a bad thing). Verdict: new fav sushi place alert! I loved the ambiance and service, and food was high end! If you are around you certainly should give it a try. I can be good for girls date or date nights.

Checked out this place on a whim and really enjoyed it. Especially the Ikura. Good flavor and prices are on par with other sushi places. Staff was friendly and efficient. I really appreciated that the menu was separated out by categories, such as fresh and fried options. Saved me the need to skim the menu and avoid tempura rolls.

I have been to a lot of sushi places in the metroplex, but I really like this place. This is a little gem in the area. Their price is very reasonable and they serve their sushi beautifully in a little boat. If you are craving for sushi, definitely stop by. Worthed every penny.

Their meat is so fresh and amazing. It s hard to find places that have great quality and great service. We came here for a birthday and The Boat was worth every penny!! It took me 29 years to develop a palette for sushi, and lets just say it was no where close until I took up a friends recommendation to eat here. The BFF roll was what got me, and I will never look back. Now I do not care if its cooked, baked, raw, over rice, or by itself, I LOVE sushi. Thank you Hon Sushi for my great awakening. Now enough about me. BFF Roll and the Honda roll are my usual go-tos, and their lunch specials are perfect for a regular like myself. Staff is always so friendly and the sushi speaks for itself, so it really isnt hard to understand why they have so many positive reviews. Would 1000% percent recommend to anyone I know, and I will forever be a Hon Sushi stan!

PHENOMENAL! I was told about this place a year ago and I finally went. The sushi and food was fresh. The prices were fair and reasonable. Lunch specials are offered. They greet you warmly. My favorite roll was BFF. My friend and I started with the SAILBOAT. We couldnt have made a better selection. Chefs choice were quality picks. I cant wait to visit again.
