I ordered omelet rice and sirloin katsu. The omurice sauce is rich and really delicious. The sirloin katsu was nice because the meat was thick! I liked the crispy and chewy texture of the batter. I had a good time. thank you

Got the beef yakiniku don and my girlfriend got the cheese katsu with udon. The beef yakiniku don was just alright. I should have tried a ramen instead. The cheese katsu was good. The portion size is great for both entrees. We both left full. Food came out quick and service was good. This restaurant can get busy.

Delicious. I took one bite and had to personally compliment and tip the chefs. The ramen is PERFECT, nice and toothsome. The broth was delicious and not salty at all. The shaved seaweed was a great flavor and the eggs were jammy as they should be. The one thing Id say they need to work on is the pork, as it was a bit overcooked and stringy, but even then it had great flavor. And the price is very reasonable. If youre looking for great ramen look no further than Kurobuta.

I came here for lunch because I was in the area. Kurobuta has been on my list for some time now. I understand why this place has received so many positive reviews, but I was not impressed with it. I ordered the chicken katsu. It took roughly 15 minutes for the food to come out, which wasnt too long of a wait. It came with a white dipping sauce, a cabbage salad with a mayo-based dressing, and a small bowl of rice. Chicken katsu is made of white meat. Despite being fried, the inside was still moist and juicy. The lack of seasoning and the unsatisfactory dipping sauce made it unpalatable. I prefer the traditional katsu sauce. The salads dressing was also excessively sweet. The rice was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is small and intimate. I love how they have all the utensils and napkins in the drawers at the table. Super convenient. Service was great. The server explained everything thoroughly. Overall verdict, it was a decent meal, but I probably wont be coming back. Good: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

What a rough start to my morning, I ordered the chicken katsu with curry and rice for take out, total came out to around $18 including tip, for that price I basically got a small chicken tender and about half a cup of rice with curry on the side to fill in the space missing in the to-go container, what a rip off for almost 20 bucks. I wouldve gone to the spot inside H-mart where I wouldve gotten way more for less if not the same amount of money (even for a to-go order) but to my unfortunate luck she shut down recently.

I ordered a chicken katsu plate and i was very happy with it. It came with a nice dipping sauce on the side. The gyoza and fried shrimp is good too. Udon soup is good as well. Everything is priced pretty good for this day and age. Just wish staff was more attentive. Also wish they would offer a small cheese katsu on the side. I was really hoping to try it. The reason they didnt get 5 stars is that the reusable glass water bottles they offer for the table are dirty. And the plastic cap had mold, and serratia marcescens under them; thats due to not being washed for a very long time. Ive gone twice already and have noticed the water bottle situation. Someone can get really sick from not washing those glass bottles/caps.

Had lunch here, its a simplistic menu with something for everyone. Tip: Utensils & napkins are on a pull-out side drawer of your table, we didnt know until we asked. Its convenient though to have access to what you need versus waiting on someone to bring it. Edamame - a bit salty, they give you plenty! Salmon Steak Don - good portion size of salmon. Tonkotsu Ramen - egg was perfect, pork was good, & the noodles had that snap that we all like. The broth was good. The staff was nice & patient, often checking in with us, we spent quite some time there. The food wasnt cold, but it wasnt particularly hot. I was hoping the ramen would be a little warmer but it was so-so, they were semi-busy so Im not sure if food getting to us played a factor but we felt it came out quickly. Each table has their own pitcher of water which also works out well, they were quick to bring more when ours was empty. Tables are a bit close together (the seating against the wall where we were), you can hear the other tables conversion at just a casual level. It could be disruptive. The floor was a little sticky, I noticed this passing though to go to the restroom. Restroom was okay. Small restaurant, however its not a stand alone & in a strip with others, understandable. Prices are good & affordable!

Such a cute restaurant! We had spicy tonkotsu ramen and it was excellent! The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was spicy and flavorful. The pork they add was too big as my son literally almost choked on it. My heimlich was ready to go! lol It should be cut up to bite sized pieces since there s no way to cut it unless you use your hands. We ordered the crab cream croquettes and takoyaki for the appetizer and these were tasty. I really liked the shredded cabbage and the white mayo dressing/sauce. Great idea with the water jugs they set out when you first sit down. If you re hungry it comes out FAST!

The curry was tomato based yet no where on the menu did it state it would be that way; it basically tasted strongly like tomato soup with chicken. This place is fantastic! Their katsu chicken is made fresh and to perfection. Ramen is a must from here. Great staff. Specifically Jay is the best. My wife ordered spicy seafood ramen even though she knew she couldn t handle it, spice wise. Jay, brought two bowls, one empty, one with broth so my wife could take out some spicy broth and add the regular broth to make it less spicy and bearable for her. Also, when my wife was asking what ramen dish could work best for our 10 year old son who can t handle any spice, he knew exactly which one to pick. Our son loved his ramen bowl! Highly suggest and highly recommend coming here. 100/10 lol.

First time going here and I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. Staff were friendly, service was fast without compromising taste/quality of food that comes out of the kitchen. The place is huge with plenty of seating. I usually order spicy tonkotsu ramen when I go to new places and that s what I ordered here. Their version did not disappoint at all. It was a good amount of meat and spice to my liking. The soup was so delicious and noodles were just right. 5/5 for sure! Also got the chicken katsu + udon combo. The chicken katsu was super delicious specially combined with their sauce. I d also give that a 5/5. The udon, however, was a 3/5 to me. Not as flavorful as I would want it but I think that s because it was just a side dish maybe for the chicken katsu? I also normally order takoyaki whenever I m in a new restaurant that offers it and I d give it a 4/5. Overall, I loved my experience here though and would definitely come back when I can.

I went here Monday, February 12, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., and ordered the Pork Tenderloin Katsu, and it was the worst I have ever had. The outside was too crispy, probably overcooked, and tasted bad. The inside was not tender but tough and not tasty. It took about 30 minutes to bring to the table. The attached photo has one or two pieces small slices that I ate before the photo. The rice was dry. Then the at-the-table checkout tip options are 18%, 20%, 25% and 30%. I input 15% on the pre-tax amount. If you want good pork katsu, go to the Zion Market food court, which is what I did next to get rid of this bad memory.

Ramen is my sons favorite food (thanks to naruto) and they love to try all the ramen restaurants we can find in DFW. weve been here a few times and they have lots of options, pork free, vegetarian, chicken based broth, plus many more options besides ramen. Has great flavor and variety.

I wanted ramen and picked this place based on their reviews. I ordered the vegetarian ramen, and it was the worst Ramen I ve had in a very long time. I got it to go, and they put the vegetables and tofu skin in the broth which I thought was strange. The broth usually comes in a separate container from the toppings and noodles because of this the vegetables were very overcooked and soggy, the broth was oily and flavorless. I took a few bites of the dish and threw it all away. I m very disappointed in this spot and won t be back.

They were about 75% full at lunch hour, but I was seated immediately, water on the table within seconds and the waitress took my order right then. A few minutes later, the spicy tonkotsu arrived, and to my pleasant surprise, it was served at a temperature acceptable for a human to immediately eat it...rather than lava-hot. I didnt have to wait to dive in. Tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful, and Im not sure Ive had better in Dallas. I think I was in and out in 20 minutes, total, after having a VERY memorable bowl of ramen. Ill be back.

We came here specifically for the tonkatsu. The loin and tenderloin cuts were decent, with a nicely fried, crispy coating, but cooked a little bit dry. But what unfortunately made this review average was the very dry and hard rice that was served. That pretty much killed the experience. The meal really consisted of to katsu, rice, and salad. Although I came mainly for the tonkatsu, the rice is just as important in a way, and blowing that really is unfortunate. Other notes: interior and service is fine. But the food was a let down. Not bad, but could have been better.

Ramen was great, especially the broth. Great balance in the Tonkotsu Miso ramen. Chashu-don was alright, I just wish the meat was a bit less burnt on the edges because it overwhelmed the rest of the flavors. Will definitely come back for the ramen though.

This place aint really good or bad. Kinda just eh wouldnt come back. Ramen was sad and bland. I dont know if this is how this place serves it, but the chashu I got was burnt burnt. Every other place has soft fall apart chashu so maybe this places does it differently.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm smile from service staff. Our waiter, I believe his name was Jake (tall guy), provided the most excellent service I have experienced in a restaurant environment. The attention to detail, empathy and kindness all contributed to a 5+ star view. The food, was unbelievable. We got a spicy ramen, with modifications, and the broth was absolute heavenly. The Yakiniku rice bowl was as phenomenal as well. Super hot, fresh. Thank you to FOH and BOH staff for our experience today

Best ramen spot Ive tried in DFW. Got Spicy something something, R3 on menu. Noodles. 10. Broth 10. Pork belly, was ok. Taste was good, texture was weak. Real chewy. Hands down better than Hanabi and Ichiban Ramen.

We both ordered curry rice with pork katsu, and potato croquette. The potato and pork was ok, but the curry was not good. It was sour and just tasted like tomato. The curry didnt have any vegetables in it either. Its not even supposed to have a tomato base. My husband is Japanese and was looking forward to japanese curry but was so disappointed. We told the waitress it was sour, but she didnt offer to let us order something else. It also took a long time for our food, and it was hot inside.

The portions are very generous and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and the cheese katsu. The ramen was slightly salty but it was still incredibly delicious with the bouncy noodle texture and the soft boiled eggs. It came with 2 pieces of chashu and although they were not tender, the charred flavor of the pork really came through. The spiciness of the ramen was just hot enough and wasnt completely overwhelming. The cheese katsu came with 6 big pieces of pork filled with melted mozzarella cheese, tangy dipping sauce, a side salad with dressing, and a bowl of rice. The katsu was very crispy and the sauce complimented it very well although rice was not necessary. However, it is still nice that rice was complimentary and I felt that the rice went well with the creamy salad dressing that had a strong flavor. It is also nice that each entrée comes with a side of spicy pickled radish to cut down on the fattiness. The service I had were incredibly accommodating and excellent too. The servers continuously checked on us throughout our meal and payment is made very easily through their handheld devices. The ramen came to my table very quickly (about 5-7 minutes) and the cheese katsu took 15 minutes, most likely because they prepared it fresh to order. Something small I liked as well is how the water we were given was in a tall glass bottle that we could refill ourselves and the napkins/chopsticks are held in a drawer attached to your table. There was not really much to say about the atmosphere because it felt like a standard rustic ramen shop. However, I didnt feel like this detracted from my experience because the food really shined and the décor of the place was kept simple. The only issue I really had was that the music playing while I was dining was a bit too loud and the prices on their website are outdated. Overall, I could see myself coming back for the simplicity. I definitely would come back to try their other ramen options because they had some interesting options like seafood ramen and cold ramen.

I thought this place was mediocre. Nothing special. I was craving katsu so I thought I would give this place a try. Ramen came out first and katsu came out later. It would ve been better if both entrees came out at the same time because it was a party of 2. Most likely not going back to this place.

I ordered the Tonkatsu Miso ramen which had no flavor in the soup, just tasted like green onion flavored water. My boyfriend ordered a curry dish which tasted kind of tomato-y which we ended up not being a fan of. The takoyaki and the pork katsu tasted great though! If we did come again, Id probably only order one of the katsu dishes since those seem to be the most reliable taste wise.

I was finally able to have ramen here. I came with a relative and her son. The place has plenty of seats and the table has a drawer for chopsticks and spoons. The server was helpful. He opened the door for us (it was heavy!) and also brought a knife to help cut the chicken katsu for the child. Very attentive. I ordered spicy ramen. The portion was large and I got a whole egg. Usually my favorite ramen restaurant had smaller portion and only half an egg.
