My family and I LOVE going to this park . For myself , I honestly love basketball and they have a small court there with two hoops so this mama is so happy to bring along my basketball . My daughter loves playing in the playground area and there is also an area that is shaded with a place to sit . We come here every July 4 , also . We bring alone a blanket and put the blanket down on the grass for a PERFECT view of Carrolltons Fireworks . Theres not enough I can say about how much I love this park ! ** Updated October 27 2022**** Just came back from a nice walk with my daughter and that walk brought us to this wonderful park where we stayed for just enough time for her to use the slide , rockclimbing , and run down the hills .... not to mention to absolutely savor that gorgeous Texas sky

They ve upgraded the ground cover from wood chips (bleh) to artificial grass (yay!)! What a huge difference this makes for us. Great little neighborhood park.

Park has wood chips for surface playing area around 2 individual slide sets. There are benches and shade trees around the perimeter of the playground. Concrete walking path around park. Covered Pavillion with 2 picnic tables. Handicapped parking/accessibility on site.

It is very pleasant to walk. Ride a bike. Skateboard. Take my baby to games and if you like to relax outdoors without so much noise. This is good place. There is a palapa to have a party.

Nice, clean soccer fields. Best part clean restrooms!! There are also areas to bring your dog & play in them. Is well shaded & plenty of bleacher seating.

Several walkway and grass options allow people to spread out and maintain the current six-foot spacing requirement. Signs posted to remind everyone to distance themselves. Caution tape wraps the playground equipment to keep kids from climbing and bunching together.

Nice little park to take young kids to play. Also right by the police station so always safe. Not usually busy on weekdays... good open spaces to walk or play frisbee. Much bigger than it looks with the small parking lot. Good alternate to the big parks. If busy then go down Jackson past McCoy and get more shade there too.

The play equipment is in serious disrepair with one of the plastic walkways having a large hole in the middle of it making it a tripping hazard for little ones. The wood chips meant to cushion falls looks like it hasnt been filled in several years with the edge of a walkway clearly meant to lead into the chips several inches above the muddy ground that is there instead. One of the places where stairs should have been instead has only a plywood board blocking the area meaning the 2-5 year old sign was clearly wrong as my 3 and 4 year old both had trouble climbing the only access up to the slides.

Nice park over all. Playscape is fun and there are shady places for grownups. There is no BBQ here to use, no restrooms, and the playscape itself is not shaded. So nice to stop at from time to time, but not great for an all day thing, and certainly not during the summer.
