About the Company

rating: 4.3

A little about the chef: Muzaffar Kashmiri, has a very dedicated and dynamic personality and prefers to refer to himself as a ‘kitchen artist’, rather than just a chef. He was passionate about cooking since childhood and turned his hobby into a career. He learnt to cook from Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore, Pakistan from 1989 to 1992. He worked for different companies in Pakistan, Dubai and Beijing (China). His last name is Kashmiri because his father was from Sri Nagar, Kashmir and he migrated to Pakistan at a young age by foot when the partition occurred. His father lived in Pakistan and he also was a chef.

Came here for the first time after church today. We walked in to a completely empty restaurant. The front desk/receptionist/cashier/waitress didnt greet us when we walked in. We asked to be seated as we were eating in and she begrudgingly followed us to a table. She was absolutely awful. She was rude, impatient, and short when we had questions or a request. Rember, it was our first time here. A family of 4 came in about 15 minutes after us and got their food before us. Terrible. Wont return. Shame too, because the food was good.

It s used to be my go to place all the time but not anymore. They made a lot upgrades including front line staff but serving and food quality has been compromised!!!! On my last visit, we were served half cooked beef behari boti and even found a hair in tamarind sauce. Upon complaining, we were told that beef bihari boti is always cook like this ( like if we were eating it for the first time) and also tried to convince us that hair is not hair but a root of tamarind lol ( a blond color root). Never going back!

Well well where to start. This place is just awesome. The taste of their BBQ items is just out of this world. Try the Udham kebab, the chicken booti, the chops, I mean food is just 5 stars. The sitting area is small but manageable. Bathroom needs some work. Prices are decent. Just know that they may charge you extra for extra sauces. But then again even the sauces are worth the extra money. And most of all their parathas are just on another level. Please give them a try, you will love the food.

Beba comes highly recommended for their authentic Pakistani dishes. I ve been here a few times for lunch and highly recommend giving this place a try. The service is usually a bit off and atmosphere is lacking but those are usually the spots with the most authentic and flavorful food. Kabobs have a great char and flavor. Thicker than most Mediterranean kabob with great spice. We got the chicken liver and it had amazing flavor. We also got the garlic naan which is thicker than usual with garlic on the inside. Overall my favorite kabob in the area.

The most recent bad reviews for this establishment are all correct this is NOT authentic Pakistani food. The restaurant is very small, kitchen is dirty and outdated, they have you box your food to go yourself in styrofoam, they give sauces in plastic to go that are not authentic at all, the restaurant itself is not clean and it s very dark and outdated. The ingredients when food is served are not fresh brown limes, dirty onions and bad looking food. Some food items are very expensive for this place and they charge $16 and more for curries. Other nice, sit down restaurants don t even charge this much for their curry with a lot of flavor and fresh food. Huge disappointment and the owners seem very unprofessional by their responses to customers spending their money here. Terrible!

What an old and dingy place. This is the first time I actually could not finish my food. I usually finish everything despite if it is good or not as it is haram to waste food but I truly couldn t eat the disproportionate sized samosa, tandoori chicken that tasted like the yogurt used was days old, the old onions and condiments seemed like they were cut 3 days prior and everything was given on cheap paper plates & tin foil. The paratha was mediocre at best. If the prices were cheap then I would get it, but they charge the same as restaurants that are actually nice, modern and taste good. The whole place smelled like onions and BO and seemed like a truly depressing place to eat. I was really looking forward to some good paki food as the reviews seemed worth it but wow, this might be the worst restaurant I ve ever dined in my life.

I hate to comment the following and to review this small business a one star overall (to be fair a one star is being nice), but I have no choice because I am shocked at our experience today, and how they even have ~some~ decent reviews! Environment: Absolute hole-in-the-wall. There are employees there that are the opposite of Muslim Paki s and are not pleasant. The restaurant is so dark and dingy, you can t see anything inside or outside of it. Basic, diner tables, paper plates, paper napkins and not clean. The entire places absolutely stinks and is just not fresh and clean, or taken care of properly. Food: I am shocked to see so many same-cultured people going here because this is FAR from authentic. Some food items are almost $20 here and I have no idea HOW. It s a hole-in-the-hall! It s mainly fried items that have no flavor and no sauces. Grilled plates that are disgusting and not presentable at all. Their complimentary onion/jalapeño and limes look to be made three days ago (not fresh). The mixed grill plates and vegetarian masala had zero flavor, paratha is probably not made fresh either. Probably the worst experience I ve ever had in the DFW area. The only good here is that they offer halal, but that s it. The chef, owner, everyone should reevaluate their entire business, cleanliness, food, taste, etc.

We used to love this place. But since the owners stepped back, it seems like the quality of food and service has drastically gone down while they increased prices on their menu and started to force customers to pay 18% gratuity. My wife and I went in with two toddler kids who didn t even have any food, yet they enforced their gratuity policy of 4 people. I would not consider this to be a service based restaurant as they put the food on the table and that is it. Not sure why they feel entitled to charging gratuity without providing any real service. Unfortunately, I don t think we will be returning customers at this point.

This place used to be so good, food wise. It s been about 6 months since the last time we came here. Something has changed, the food doesn t taste quite the same. The service is what threw me off-they started charging 18% gratuity on parties of 4 or more. I ve heard of 6 or more at nicer restaurants but this is a self serve restaurant so it doesn t make sense to force customers to pay 18%. We didn t appreciate the lady who we spoke with 4 of us came in and there were about 4 tables of 6 open plus a table for 2 people. She refused to give us a bigger seating area and suggested we sit in the 2 person table because she cannot give up larger seating for a small party . Only two of the 4 tables had a reserved sign on them. So we asked if she was seriously going to give up customers to wait for larger parties to come. With attitude she ended up agreeing to let us sit on a larger table. We were there an hour .no other parties came. The environment was updated but needs work. The floors were VERY slippery and sticky-our chairs kept slipping too. I don t know if it s the new chairs they put but not a good idea due to hazards. I don t think we will return again.

We ordered pulao with beef gola kabab, chicken karahi and tandoori fries(which were your usual frozen fries from the market) Beef gola kabab was the stand out for me. Prices are reasonable. They have a family platter option which have plenty of meat options with sauces and parathas. Do give them a try if you are around and looking for some desi BBQ

We went to Beba bbq and ordered a beef lover platter and puris. My family and I ate one of the puri and on the second puri I saw two roaches. So I told the worker at the front and she showed the plate of puri to a guy who was a waiter and he shrugged his shoulder and went off with his work and she took the puri plate back to the kitchen. Nothing else was said or communicated to me as to what was going to happen or how those roaches got in the food. My husband and kids went outside and I asked the worker to let me talk to the owner. She said he s not here and tells me that other guy is the owners son- the one who previously shrugged it off and didn t even acknowledge us. So I talked him and he said he doesn t know how it got there and I asked to talk to the owner; he said he s in the kitchen, so I look at the worker and said oh so she lied. And she goes oh i didn t know if he went home. I m not sure how she can miss a man when she just went back in the kitchen to give the plate of puris back. So the owners son apologize and I said you re his son and you didn t even acknowledge us until I called you over. He writes his own phone number down so I can talk to his dad and said he can t give his dads number without his consent. If they even acknowledged us and said sorry genuinely I would have left it and just left without complaints. If the owner was in the kitchen I m not sure why his son couldn t ask him to speak to me or at least mention my complaints to him. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

First visit, ordered a beef kebab wrap on paratha which was so good I was a little dumbfounded at first. The meat is tender and flavorful, the paratha is stunningly textured and the sauce has a surprising kick. Was surprised at the quality of food and will return.

I can t believe I am just discovering this amazing food!!! A foodie friend of mine recommended this place and told me to definitely order their gola kebabs! So glad I did! My tastebuds are thanking me right now, and I m sure my tummy will be too!! As soon as you re in the parking lot, the aroma of char grilled kebabs, spices, and deliciousness fill the air! You know you re about to hit the jackpot!! You re welcomed by a friendly staff and can seat yourself and order at the counter. The ambiance is cozy and homey and not super fancy. It s casual comfort. They have a great menu with good options but mainly focused on the grilled items! We ordered the chicken lover platter so we can try the different types of sizzlers! It comes with Chicken Footlong Kebab (1pc), Chicken Gola Kebab (7pcs), Chicken Tikka Boti (7pcs) & 8oz bowl of sauce (your choice) The platter was so large and overly satisfying! Naan/Kulcha can be ordered a la carte! I loved the fresh char taste and all the items were juicy and filled with amazing flavors! I would totally come back again and even cater for our next family gathering!

I originally planned to visit the Indian restaurant a few doors down, but it was closed - so I decided to stop by here. The service leaves a lot to be desired, but the food is GOOD and plentiful. I ordered the beef samosas, chicken kabab roll with naan, and pulao rice. All were delicious - the naan bread in the kabab roll was to die for... chewy and crispy. Im not sure Ill be dining in here again anytime soon, but Ill order to-go for sure.

OUTSTANDING. In every single way. Beba BBQ is our favorite restaurant in the DFW metroplex. The food is incredibly tasty and fresh, and the quality remains consistent from one visit to the next (we frequent the restaurant almost weekly!). We particularly love the gola kabab and the paratha is by far the best we ve had in Texas - it is the perfect balance of crispy and soft, always delicious. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Muneeb is fantastic and always takes care of us. If you haven t been yet, you are seriously missing out! Highly recommend!!

first timer here. I ve never had food like this so I have nothing to compare. Friend recommended me trying paratha and I saw they had it on their menu. It was great ! A little spicy for me, but still good. my least favorite item that I ordered was the samosa. But the pulao rice and the beef kabob was good. Will most likely return to try other items. As for customer service everyone has been mentioning on here, it wasn t too bad. They seemed reserved and quiet but I don t take that as bad service. not everyone is bubbly and outgoing and that s okay. Overall, it was fine. Will be back to try some other items on the menu ! Update: had to come by the next day to try different items lol today I got the lachah paratha which I preferred over the aloo paratha I tried the first time. Chicken tikka masala was different from what I ve tried at other places but not in a bad way. Very oily (which I m not sure if that s normal or not, still learning about Indian cuisines) but nonetheless, I reaaally enjoyed the dish. Beef gola was great too. Overall- I really enjoyed the food here I had to come two days straight lol

Place an order wanted to change some item combinations was told that not possible so we went with it. Looked at the online menu that option was available so called right back within a minute and was told order cant be changed even though it was suppose to take 25 minutes to be ready. Only choice was given to add more item ...really bad way to increase your sale to push to add more items. When told the person what if we like to cancel.....was tlod fine than she hung up......there are too many restaurants in Dallas area this place already been closed twice should know better how to CUSTOMER SERVICE WORK.....

Ordered take out from this place; called in at 9:15 pm and they said the order would take about an hour. Reached at 10:20 pm and the order wasn t ready and ended up being wrong/incomplete. Anywho, I guess the stars are basically for the quality of food cuz it was pretty good and quite generous portions. Perhaps the next time I m in Dallas I d hope to have a better overall experience :)

Very disappointed, goat meat was not even cut properly, as taste was barely edible. Nihari was not cooked all the way for proper taste. Then they put jalapeños on top, which are not to be used in desi karahi or nihari. Service was also horrible with food to be eaten in flimsy paper plates. for ~$30pp, there are way better options out there.

The food was the only factor at this place that deserves a star. - service: non existent. You will pick up after yourself, take your own to-go containers, go to the counter any time you need anything even napkins. No one will come ask you if you need anything, not even water at the table. - cleaning: absolutely disgusting. Tables were wiped but there were food stains and leftovers everywhere. - price: includes 18% tip for the customer doing everything apart from cooking the food. - dining experience: Tacky! Paper products. So what was the 18% tip for??!

This review is only for the service and not for the food quality. So we went on Saturday, 06/03 for lunch at BEBA BBQ which is a 45 drive from my place. There was 1 family dining and we were the only guests who ordered and took our seats at the very last corner of the restaurant. We ordered 2 Lacha Paratha 1 Garlic Naan 1 Beef Uddham Kebab 1 Beef Boti After 20 minutes another family comes, orders and takes a seat. Next food is delivered to the family which just arrived and ordered. We were like, something is wrong and I went and ask the front desk and they said let me check. The guy comes back and says to the other family we gave you the wrong order and then he tells us that he is sorry the order was given to the wrong family. Apparently, the reason given was that the server was new and today was his first day. So we wait another 20 minutes before our order is delivered. I am here just to give my feedback. How dumb the family can be who took the order without even checking what they ordered...there was no way the order could have been same. How dumb can the hotel management be when they can just have avoided such a situation by giving table token numbers. Being a small restaurant with few patrons you should not be making such silly mistakes. The front desk guy apologized once and was fine. No remorse and showing empathy for the fiasco you did. They dont care the time the customer waited before the food was delivered. My wife was like we are not coming back to this restaurant again and yes we are not going to be going back there again. I had posted this review on a FB Dallas halal group but the mods did not approved it as they are paid to post good reviews on their group. So I have to post it here and share the feedback.

The kabobs are very tasty (tried beef seekh kabab andchicken malai boti), and so is the Nihari. The paratha wraps are huge (all portions are actually generous). However, found the parathas to be VERY greasy-- like when you can smell the oil, causing a nauseating feel. I like all the food other than the paratha situation.
