they messed up my order and they dont speak or understand English at all, i asked the server to get someone who speaks English but she would not do it, I suggest the owners hires people that can properly speak and understand english to work on there phone line. there food is good but the service is soooo bad

The food wasnt good. The quesa birria tacos were the smallest tacos I ever saw, and they didnt have any flavor they gave me charro beans instead of the birria broth. My husband quesadilla was so salty. I was expecting much more from this place.

Me and my wife ordered from this place after reviewing the reviews. We ordered the birria taco plate, ranchero burrito, and tamales. This place fell short. The tacos were a little on the burnt side. The burrito and tamales were okay. Ive never been to a taco place that servers salsa pre packaged smh. The only bright spot was the staff was excellent and the place was clean.

Picked up some Birria and breakfast tacos yesterday and had a good experience. The breakfast tacos were solid, but a little smaller. The birria tacos came with 4 which was great. They were a little dry but still tasty. The breakfast burrito was the star. Really tasty. My only real complain was that the website pricing was all lower than the actual cost. Basically $1 more expensive for everything.

First of all, is very rude and unprofessional to pushed and rushed people into ordering when they are not ready. Since you have to order at the front desk you have to stand and look at the menu. Also, once you enter there is a strong smell of sewage. ( its discusting ). The gorditas I order had a lot of masa and very little filling.

I ate at the Richardson location over the weekend and discovered that there was a closer location to me in Carrollton. I decided to try it for takeout for dinner this evening. I ordered the Taco Birria Plate which comes with four tacos, beans, a jalapeno, lime chunks, consomme, and cilantro with chopped white onions. The flavor was good but could have been spicier. The borracho beans didnt have the chunks of meat in it like they served at the Richardson location. I ordered half a dozen spicy beef tamales. They were perfection! My son wanted to try the Trumpo (pork) tacos which are featured on Tuesdays for only 99 cents each. I ordered guacamole as a side. Plenty of packets of red and green salsa were given. Overall, a very satisfying meal with plenty of leftovers for another meal. The prices were reasonable and Victor, the restaurant Manager, was very friendly and had someone help me to get my to-go packages to my car. I definitely will be returning to this location since it is in my neighborhood. I plan on ordering more tamales and trying other entrees on their extensive menu. Nailed it 100% ! If you like menudo, you HAVE to try it here. These folks know what they are doing. Typically if a restaurant has good menudo, theres nothing else they serve that will be bad. It has a deep, rich color so I could tell from 10 feet away it would be good. It has an abundance of flavor with a great aroma. It does not contain hominy (often used as a cheap filler), so there was a ton of tripe - not just an overpriced bowl of flavored water by any means. All cuts of tripe were good quality and sized perfectly. Accompanying the dish was the traditional sides of onion, cilantro, lime and jalapenos - all in a perfect portion size. There was nothing more here I could have wished for, honestly. Ive been to more than a dozen restaurants in the Carrollton, North Dallas and Lewisville area strictly to try their menudo, and this is now my Go-To place for sure to get my occasional weekend menudo fix. Job VERY well done, folks!!

I love this place! I go often to have tacos but I recently found out they have POZOLE on weekends! This is the best pozole I ve tried in town. It s real pozole! It s very well seasoned, it has an authentic taste, it s a great portion with all the sides that we usually eat with pozole. I also love their tacos, volcanes, charro beans and their campechanas. Not to mention that the staff is amazing. They always have a smile on their face and go a step further to make their customers feel welcome. Also, the place is always clean, prices are decent and fair. Best Taqueria in town.

I gotta say it was almost perfect, the ambience was fair tho the music could have been a tiny bit lower, the service was unexpectedly good, the only thing for me was that the food didnt live up to expectations, I got tacos de carne asada but the meat was diced too small and the cheese they put on was hardly melted, not terrible but not great either. We come here every time we go to Carrollton. We always get two I can trompo burritos, and its the best trompo weve ever had. Its always very clean and the staff is always very friendly and prompt and the price is right too. We love it! Try the elote while youre here, and add on a dulce de leche chorro. First visit was good. On my second visit, I was disappointed. I visited this place two times this week Thursday I ate gorditas filled with El pastor they were awesome, and the Orchata water awesome as well. But today Saturday! I tried again el pastor gorditas but was disappointed the meat was overcooked. The horchata water wasnt like last time, on Thursday. I cant express how amazing my first visit was. Today I went for lunch. Busy Busy, but the nice guy at registration is fast n polite. We got 2 birria meals, a dozen beef tamales half spicy and 2 elotes, 2 drinks. (69.00) got the tamales to go, but ate one with my taco. Its Alot of food. Meal comes with 4 tacos , beans, side of limes, grilled onion n jalapeño, cilantro. Tacos & dipping sauce. 10/10 perfecto. My taste buds were having a party . Beans, 10/10 the glory in the beans, like moms beans made yo perfection nothing lacking in taste. I was tempted to order some to take home n tortillas. Yum Tamales 9/10 They were very delicious, great amount of meat, not fatty. Masa not thick. They were a little too done. But wonderful still. Elote 9/10 large portion, seemed really fresh, everything was nice. I could have used a Lil butter or moisture. Still it was great. The sides onions jalapeño so good. I like mine grilled a Lil more, but ohh well I ate it. Service was AMAZING the young guy and young lady were so nice. The guy kept stopping by making sure we, everyone seated was OK and asked if we needed anything. Always had a smile. Would keep tables very clean as people left. I tell yu I truly love this place and the people. We ended up taking alot of food home which Im glad for. There about 45 min from my home, but I will definitely be back. Gotta try it. Amazing food! We ordered 2 trompo, 2 barbacoa tacos, and the birria tacos plate, and it was all delicious. Though I havent had many birria tacos in my life, this was by far the best Ive had. 10/10 - Long Review Warning : I was looking for /Craving reasonably priced Birria Tacos, Authentic rice & beans, salsa & chips, & Elote s . And I happily stumbled upon Leon! I was happy to see it wasn t far from home. I can t believe I m just now trying them. I was starving & hadn t eaten all day & they really hit the spot! This place is so cute on the inside & the staff is so friendly & helpful. I came in an hour before close & Bella answered all my questions & I asked A Lot lol, she was patient & kind & she recommended the drinks which she let me try to see if I liked them ! She also recommended the churros & Elote s, I wound up getting the Elote s out of the 3, it was Delicious! I have to come back for more because my husband stole & ate it all lol. You get to put your own toppings such as Hot Cheetos or Takis powder on your Elote s which I really like, the Birria tacos were delicious & stuffed with meat & cheese & I was so delighted to see every thing that they came with not only did they come with raw onions, cilantro, & lime, but also grilled onions & A WHOLE GRILLED JALAPEÑO which I love!! I was so delighted to see the jalapeño because I almost asked for one but I forgot but to my surprise it came with it anyway, which was such a nice touch! I was also happy to see that the beans came with the tacos & I only needed to order the rice extra because I originally planned on paying for a side of beans as well but they already came with the tacos so that was a nice surprise. You also get both red & green sauce as well. Their green sauce is immaculate! & they come in cute little sealed up to go packages with their label on it. The refried beans were super flavorful, the salsa was authentic & delicious , if I could give any constructive criticism it would be the rice could have a little more flavor, It was a little on the dryer side, but still very good. The chips were authentic fried corn tortilla chips, & they were fresh, hot out the grease which I liked but they could have a little less seasoning on them. I felt like I was going to get high blood pressure from the chips lol but again still very good. I was also delighted to see they also have reasonably priced tamales in regular, spicy, vegan! & even dessert flavors! They also have several different flavors of Mexican sodas like apple, strawberry, peach, Mexican coke & Mexican sprite. Honestly, their whole menu looks amazing. Honestly the best egg and bacon tacos Ive had. I dont know how they managed to get so much more flavor than any where else with such basic ingredients. My only gripe is not being able to add additional toppings onto a taco, which should be so simple, but they want to charge for a whole other taco. The Best Tacos and Tamales in the DFW area! I ve been coming here for 3 years now, and tried tons of tacos in the DFW area, and this is still my favorite place! Amazing Al pastor tacos and tamales! The staff are always super friendly too! This is a must visit if you are in the mood for some awesome Mexican food and very reasonable prices!

Been coming here for almost a year for the breakfast burritos which I do have to say are amazing, but the day I come for a 16oz salsa and it took over 20min for salsa !!! 5 people got their order before I got a 16oz salsa , tbh might not come here again. Very disappointing really did enjoy the breakfast burritos

I love Taqueria Nuevo León! The tacos are always outstanding! The trompo tacos remind me of those from Monterrey Mexico, the tortilla is very good and the salsas are great! You will get beans with your order, I wish the cup was a little bit bigger. Overall, this is a very solid place, very consistent with their food and friendly service.

The best hole in the wall taqueria Ive ever had (which is more than I should admit to). The tacos were amazing, the churro was the best Ive ever had, the beans were spot on, even the rice was amazing. Service was excellent. The only complaint was how full we were when we left.

Good afternoon, I have been shopping there for more than a year, last week I went and told the waiter that the taquero had already run out of meat since my tacos were lacking meat, the waiter brought me extra meat, today I ordered tacos de trompo to take away and maybe without meat they are almost 3 dollar tacos so they dont serve them well, their service is already failing a little in terms of the fact that the tacos dont serve well, maybe dont take my opinion into account but it is important to take care of each one of them your clients, I can pay up to 5 dollars for a taco but it is worth what you pay.. Walk in and order at register then seat yourself. They brought a small cup of ranchero beans. Very cozy and small. Incredible staff. Very friendly and patient and helpful. The food was perfectly portioned. The birria plate came with 4 tacos. The fountain drink/agua frescas and large to-go (no refills/cups). Food was brought to table. Red and green salsa was brought. You clean your own table. The food was so good. Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian friendly option but VERY limited. Just the tamales.

Some of the best quesobirria tacos I have ever had. A little greasy but they dont skimp on the meat and the flavor is SPOT ON. The rice is cooked perfectly. The food is failry priced. Better than fancy mexican restuarants. I will be coming back often.
