Had a lovely lunch outside with others and their pets. Food was separated in the kitchen and brought in separate baskets as my boyfriend and I regularly share an entree ($). Sat and wondered why the burger stand across the street was closed on such a busy day. Parking: What people dont see is the plenty of parking down the hill behind the restaurant. Its all a gravel parking lot, so no lines. People just need to park better.

Awesome place to go to before concerts and to relax and have a beer with great locals. All of the staff is awesome especially Shana, Caitlin, JR, Heran, Drea, Mari Amanda, Sarah, and all the other staff. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Great local hill country spot. Kid-friendliness: My son is 6 and loves this place for lunch and brunch on the weekends.

River Rose is our go-to spot! We are local to the area and we make it a habit to stop on by at least once a month, but we always end up going back more times throughout. The staff truly are the best! They are friendly, attentive and treat you like family. The manager, Shanna is awesome! She truly goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy your overall experience. Any issues, not that you will always encounter one, she will make it right. Chef Mike is the man behind the great food! They have the best lemon pepper wings around, in my opinion. Give this place a try. Support local. You won t regret it! Parking: They do offer free parking but on days where they have events, it can get busy and somewhat difficult to find a spot. Kid-friendliness: This place is kid-friendly until 9pm. After that it s 21+.

Great place to stop and have a beer if youre in the canyon lake area. Right off of the river so weve been there with our friends a few times after going to concerts at White Water Amphitheater. They have a nice little patio outside and they sometimes have a band.... Sometimes a DJ. They do have game nights so its a cool little atmosphere that you will enjoy. A few tourists and a lot of locals. The food is typical bar food but its not bad.

Everything was so good! There was not one thing that we did not like. We got a little bit of everything, and we really enjoyed our drinks. I got the Fresh Watermelon Margarita, and it was super refreshing and it was the perfect ratio of liquor for me. My husband discovered his new favorite beer here which was the Devil s Backbone. He now gets it occasionally whenever he sees it. I wouldn t have expected Truffle Burrata in a bar/casual setting, but this was delicious. We shared all of the items we ordered, and I new that we had to try the Ribeye Tacos, it was more of my husband s favorite but I still enjoyed it. My favorite was the Loaded Tots, and I try to recreate it at home!

This is a busy little place. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Came out on a nice weekday evening, was immediately greeted and told about a 30 minute wait, but was luckily seated and got drinks right away. There was a trivia game going on and we were delighted it was free to play. They also had the Astros game on. There was a small space for music, but there wasnt any music on our visit. Our waitress, Jordan, immediately greeted us and was very helpful in making food and drink recommendations. She did a great job of always checking on us without being overwhelming and had a great attitude. Drinks and appetizers came out pretty quickly and had plenty of time to eat before the rest of the meal. Drinks were very good and mixed just right. All the food was hot, and although I didn t care for my burger, everyone else enjoyed their food. Unrelated to food, I was very impressed with who I believe was the Manager, but she was bussing tables. While bussing tables, she immediately greeted every table to make sure they have been helped and if needed anything. The bartender Caitlin was also helping assist with tables. She was very pleasant and accommodating. She knows her drinks. From a business and management perspective, that attitude from staff builds a culture of great customer service and camaraderie between the staff. This place has it figured out. We will definitely be back for more trivia and great drinks.

We went on a weeknight during a holiday week. Arrived at 8 and our food wait was told to be an hour and it ended up being closer to an hour and a half. They were very understaffed and the waitress had way too many tables. This restaurants advertises being family friendly, but I couldn t disagree more. The exceptionally long wait time is not conducive to kids waiting to eat and the restaurant turns into 21+ at 9. Meaning before we d even gotten our food, the restaurant was 21+. They were very busy so we had to sit outside, unfortunately, many patrons and employees enjoyed smoke breaks right next to our table. When we finally received our food, the quality was good, but definitely not worth the wait and lack of service.

The atmosphere and live music was great. We were really looking forward to eating at this place. As soon as we got there to order, the woman working the bar outside just seemed like she didn t want to be bothered. It really messed up our vibe. We wanted to use visa gift cards that we got from our wedding and they told us they couldn t do it which okay not a big deal. The cashier was super nice about it though and accommodated us on our order. I also ordered a sangria which for the price I expected it to be a decent size. It was just in a small plastic cup with mostly all ice. The food was also great just a little overpriced in my opinion.

First time I ever went and I was with some friends that have been numerous times. The service was good and we were refilled in a timely fashion. The atmosphere could have been better. There was a bingo game going on and the lady calling the bingo game was obnoxiously loud to the point I couldnt talk to my friend sitting right next to me. As I went to the ladies room there were a few people complaining about the noise along the way. There was 6 or 8 rough looking members of a biker gang there and they were angry at some of the patrons complaining about the noise. I witnessed one of the bikers pull out a pair of brass knuckles out of his pocket and he looked like he was about to hit someone when I walked back from the restroom. I am glad we were getting ready to leave at that time. My friends said they havent seen the biker gang before and bingo must only be on a Wednesday night, because they had not known about bingo. It was an uncomfortable evening all around. Maybe I went on the wrong evening, but if this is a motorcycle gang type of establishment, I will not be patronizing this place in the future.

Food was great and came out hot and right! My Philly and sweet potatoe fries were especially delightful not to mention the nacho appetizer that was devoured by the table before i could even snap a pic it was so dang good! The perfect spot to hang out and recuperate after a day on the horseshoe, or grab a bite mid-day!! Twice now Ive stopped by, and the order the first time was so good that I didnt look at the menu the second time. The loaded tots are fan-dam-tastic. And possibly a meal all on their own. I choose to share them. And that leaves room for a really REALLY good burger. How good? Good enough that when I was purposefully waiting for it to come so I could get a pic of it, I capitulated when it arrived and chomped away. Really. Good. Although I have not been around for the bar service, I have watched the bartenders and servers handling their business, and they handle it well! Both servers Ive met were super friendly and helpful! I was hungry for a burger. Me n my son went to have the Angus burger. You get a choice of a side and they had about 8 choices. I had tots my son had waffle fries. The burger was so delicious. I could only finish half my tots. The place is a bar but minors are allowed in until 9 pm. The atmosphere inside was very nice and clean. The waitress was great. I see this place really packed quite often. Mostly in the spring and summer since its at the corner where the horseshoe floating area is. There are plenty of burger joints around , but this is the only one offering an Angus burger. They also have a very nice patio area if you want to sit outside. They also had a lot of other things on the menu. For us on this day it was the Angus burger. Definitely will be back again.

The food was delicious, the only thing I did not like, they upcharge if you want a different cheese on your hamburger and upcharged if you want grilled onions instead of raw. That would have been nice if the waitress would have mentioned it instead of seeing it on the receipt.

The food was good but nothing stand out. The live music was pretty good, but it needs to happen more often. I love the decor, but the price needs to come down a bit. Great spot if your stuck in Canyon lake, but it has room to improve.

We ordered takeout for 10 people and everyone was happy with their food. Burgers, fries and salads were excellent. We didn t get an answer when trying to call in the order so just placed the to go order within the restaurant, which resulted in a bit of a long wait. My family frequents this local restaurant anytime were floating the river. The service can be extremely hit and miss. Waitresses are always friendly but not always extremely attentive. Food is prepared well, but may take some time to get. Parking: Parking behind the building can be a little sketchy. Very bumpy. Kid-friendliness: Under 21 not admitted after 9 pm I believe

We were visiting the area from out of town and we were starving. Apparently, it was a bad night for the kitchen. The wait staff was very polite and friendly but warned us up front there was an hour-and-a-half wait for food. We had a drink and went to find something to eat. Bad nights happen hopefully we can give them another try on the next visit.

We loved this place! We were on vacation and stumbled upon this cute little dive bar. Turns out they have huge nachos, seasonal drinks, and trivia night on Tuesdays! I had 3 Peach Moscow Mules and loved them! The cheese for the nachos was top tier for the buck! The service provided was some Id never experienced. Everyone was super attentive, and we never went without. Driving through or staying by the lake, check this bar out. Food, drinks, and service are all spectacular!

Great little dive bar with a HomeTown feel and a nice outdoor patio that has great Texas country music on a Saturday. Perfect if youre just getting off the river or if youve been trout fishing like my husband likes to do on the Guadalupe River below. The burgers and quesadillas are awesome and the service is quick. I came here with my family, we waited for 10-15 minutes for service before receiving no service. I made eye contact with two different employees whom stared at me for roughly 5-10 minutes before walking away without sending anyone out to get us started. Food is delicious, drinks are great and service is wonderful. The loaded tater tots are unusual but so good and a great combination you wont be disappointed. Also got the quesadillas, they were good too. I didnt realize it came with pico on the inside but next time I will ask without pico. The green sauce that came on the side for the quesadillas was very good too. The frozen watermelon margarita, I was so surprised it tasted so good, and not tart nor too sweet. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. Ashley our server for one day, because we came twice in the four day period of being in the area. Ashley was great, she was quick and always checked on us. We will be back when were in the area. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly until 9pm, after 9 it s 21 and up only.
