I was in a very precarious, and potentially life altering predicament when I retained Veronica to represent me. Throughout the entire process she took the time to listen to my perspective on things and gave me a voice in the courtroom. Had a great experience hiring Ms. Vehyl. She made me believe I could beat the charge against me when I personally believed the court of public opinion would be against me. Ms. Veronica represented me on state Jail felonies that were being enhanced to 3rd degree felonies. I was sure I was going to have to do some time. I initially hired another attorney before I heard about Veronica and that attorney was only guaranteeing me the minimum amount of years in TDC on my charges which was 2 years. At my first court date with Veronica after firing my other attorney, she got the courts down to 30 days labor detail. She communicated with me and made me feel secure and well represented. Veronica represented me in a complicated trial, involving former law enforcement versus current law enforcement. It is with humble gratitude, great enthusiasm, and tremendous relief that I am writing this review. I hired Veronica Veyhl in April of 2017 to represent me for multiple class C misdemeanors (public intoxication charges) and 2 class B misdemeanors (public intoxication charges which had been enhanced). During my complimentary consultation, Veronica Veyhl laid out a course of action immediately. Veronica Veyhl wasnt condescending and never was during the course of my numerous court proceedings. She spoke to me in a dialogue I could understand and was very approachable. She was quick to reply whenever I called or texted with questions or concerns regarding my cases. Veronica Veyhl never made any false promises and was very pragmatic about the nature of my charges. In the end I served NO jail time (the prosecution was adamant that I be locked up!) and she had almost all my charges dismissed (I ended up paying only 2 fines, 1 which was significantly reduced). In March, when the fog finally cleared and the grim reality of my fate yawned before me, I had many sleepless nights. I didnt know what to do. Veronica Veyhls compassionate attentiveness gave me the courage I needed to work through this chaos and come out the other end a stronger, accountable, and FREE man. Finally, I would like to tell you how I met Veronica Veyhl. In January of 2017, I was in Tarrant County Jail. While waiting in the holding cell during my trial, I got to witness how the various court appointment attorneys interacted with their clients. There was only a small window where these exchanges took place allowing for NO privacy. Almost all of the court appointed attorneys seemed annoyed to be there and in a rush to get on with their business as soon as possible. Mine was NO exception. He barely listened to me and made no effort to exert himself on my behalf. There was ONE attorney who was DIFFERENT. I watched Veronica Veyhl listen to her client and treat him with respect. She went back and forth negotiating with the judge for her court appointed client. I am grateful I asked for her card.
