This business has amazing customer service and they are incredibly knowledgeable about all their instruments and accessories!! They also made the rental process for our 6th grader easy and talked us through the entire process so we knew exactly what our options were. I m a new guitar player, and my first time going to this shop I wanted to get my strings switch and replaced to make it lefty. They answered every question I had and told me every detail that needed to happen. Not only did they switch my strings and nut, when I got the guitar back it looked brand new. They fixed the part of the neck that was coming off, they polished and cleaned the neck and the body. I didn t even ask them to. If you want above and beyond service, this is the place

WOW! Im a bit of newbie to the whole music world and have not had the best experiences at some of the corporate music stores. This place was like a breath of fresh air! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, very impressive store and most importantly I was treated like a new friend instead of another mid-life crisis guitar player. Kaylee assisted me before my visit and then Kevin helped me at the store. I was interested in one particular guitar they had in stock (the only place in DFW that had it) and when I arrived Kevin had it completely set up and ready to try out! Im 50+ so I actually remember what real customer service is and apparently these people do as well. Kevin was a true pleasure to deal with and did not make me feel like a sales target. I bought the guitar and could not be happier with the whole experience. I drove an hour to get there and would do it again. Keep up the good work and thank you so much again.

This is the most personal and comforting place to shop for music equipment. The staff is amazingly friendly and very knowledgeable and willing to help. I ve taken multiple instruments in for repairs and always blown away with their attention to detail. Great work and great atmosphere!

Staff is experienced and welcoming. Great selection of instruments. Very helpful with just about anything you can think of. Helped me get my pedal board in order. My regular stop for strings and picks. Go see em and get you an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar or some drums or ukelee or a saxophone trumpet a flute whatever you fancy. They got it, go spend some money with em , shop local !

Garrett has helped me extensively with several purchases. He s kind and helpful and has gone out of his way to help me. He has researched various instruments before making a purchase as well. Garrett greets me by name also, even if I just pop in unexpectedly. All the other employees are great too, working together to create a community feel to our Burleson store. I go to the martial arts gym next door, so I believe my GPS may have misplaced me. I have only been to Tarpleys once about two years ago. It seemed like a chill place, but I wasnt there long enough to assess all of what they had to offer. Sometimes, when we are in the middle of beating each other up, we hear concerts through the wall. They sound aight.

i took my sax in for a repair of one note that wasn t coming out well, mind you my other notes were working just fine, and the guy helping me told me i should get it back in about a week, i waited 2 weeks, i was fine with waiting but what really made me mad was when i got it back late and my notes were coming out both sharp and flat, they broke my instrument, and when i took it back a 2nd time they told me that it would take more money to repair what they had broken. really nice people though.

Awesome employees! Very nice and greet you at the door, and they don t follow you and hover around you when you re trying out instruments. I was looking for an effect pedal and an amazing employee (the name on the receipt was BHendricks) helped me. I initially chose one and he let me try it out before the purchase, it wasn t for me so he gave me another pedal that was more my style. Overall great store, cozy and welcome atmosphere. Will come back again.

Tarpley s is by far the easiest place to deal with for your instrument needs. I did everything over the phone and through text. I was able to order, pay and communicate through text and have everything delivered to the school the same day! I highly recommend them. Friendly too!!

Bryce was absolutely incredible! I bought a new guitar from another retailer and had an issue with the pickup. Bryce was able to repair it in under half an hour. Tarpley music is the only place I will go in the future for anything music related!

Unhappy with the repair done on my guitar, took over a month to replace a stripped out intonation screw and received no updates. After calling a handful of times the guitar was ready to be picked up. The new intonation screw does not even tighten down in the threads making the guitar unable to be set up properly. Gonna have to take this to a different shop to be repaired.

UPDATE: The manager came next door in Hobby Lobby and found us to apologize. He was very kind and frustrated that that had been our experience in his store. He did not ask me to post the update, in fact told me it was unnecessary, but that was above and beyond the call of duty for customer service. He is a very nice man and I would give his store another try. Rude and very unhelpful. I walked in asking for stocking stuffer ideas for my percussionist nephew who plays drums, marimba, quints, etc, and he gestures and says, well, I have what I have... and gestures at a wall full of pieces and parts. Did not want to help us and seemed put out that I disturbed him during his cell phone time. When I asked if that had any ornaments or things he said go next door. Wow! I will not spend another dime in there.

UPDATED: Very unsatisfied with a pickup installation. They did a poor job installing the pickup and setting it up. Kerry Cash at Kerry s Guitar Shop fixed what they did wrong. He says they took the saddle of the guitar way too low, causing the strings to buzz horribly on the higher frets. Up to this time, Tarpley has refused to make this issue right. They also charged me for a overpriced 9V battery without telling me they would, whereas if they had actually told me, then I would have brought one. And while adjusting with the truss rod, he scraped the coating off the G string (They did promise to give me a set of strings to resolve this part). Not happy with this, not intending on coming back except for a refund for the cost of the set-up.

I cannot say enough goods things about this store. I just moved to Alvarado in the last year and so I frequently find things I need in Burleson. On one of these trips I was searching for some musical equipment and lucked into Tarpleys shop right next to Hobby Lobby. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman named Phillip and had such a nice experience learning from him and getting some expert advice. He was very kind and patient with my children in the store also which is such a relief to this busy homeschooling mom. I have been back myself a few times to buy some amazing instruments and supplies and recommend them for any of your musical needs. If they dont have it, theyll let you know and likely be able to help you order it in. Give them a try! You wont be disappointed!!!

They have an amazing Flute/piccolo repair person. Piccolos can need repairs if you look at them wrong. Of course they never need repair at a good time. They have done an amazing job working on my daughters piccolo and done the repairs in time for her region competition. We love visiting the store too. Today was my second visit to the new Burleson store. I was so thrilled when I found out that a music store had opened, especially during the pandemic. Everyone that I have newly met (Brad), along with employees I knew from another store (Doug & Joseph), have been wonderful.. I took my Pearl flute in for a key adjustment, and Joseph fixed it while I waited and did it at no charge. I will be taking my flute back in six months or so for its full check-up. The store is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the service great! Cant say enough good about them!
