Ordered from the to go menu. Had the Veal Marsala and was more of an Asian taste than Italian. Veal was a little too chuy. My sons pink sauce was closer to peach color and was not tasteful I suspect too much cream was added. My daughter-in-l aw had the clam sauce that had no flavor. Garlic bread was soggy,

This place is a hidden gem!! We had a Birthday celebration there last night (party of 15). We had the best time at Sammy s! The food was absolutely delicious and Don (our waiter) was so attentive. Highly recommend finding Sammy s!!! We will be back!!

If you come here, you ll love it and you ll keep coming back. The portions are so big and not expensive at all if you order anything just ask for to go box right away everyone is friendly and nice me and my kids love coming here. The pizza is fresh. Two star only because the server was nice the old man at front counter is rude and didnt even put my food in the bag just said here you go The food; bland and tasteless I had the chicken marsala it tasted like a frozen entree from the grocery store. I had to use all the garlic and salt on the table to even make it edible. And the portions were so small it looked like a kids plate. Didnt even deserve a photo. I left hungry and just turned off. PUT SAMMYS O NYOUR DO NOT GO LIST. Spend your money elsewhere where you are valued as a customer and the food taste better. Weird vibe in that place too guess cause I was the only African American in the place but for sure I wont be back. $42.00 lost.

Italian music is always playing, and service is always exemplary! For those traveling down I-35 through Burleson, there are a lot of choices next to the highway, but Sammys is the hidden gem only a little over a mile off the exit. Prices are fair food is always delicious worth definitely worth the visit. Ive been going since they opened. I know at least 25 years or more. We moved to Oklahoma last year, and we always make Sammys a stop ask for Avni (sp), our favorite server Spaghetti & meatballs

Me and my sister have been coming here since we were 15 and 16 years old. We love this place so much it feels like family the owners Benji and steve are such sweet and wonderful people and of course one of the waiters Avni ! Hands down hes the best. WOW!! We were greated with smiles and friendliness. The service was amazing. Not pushy or rude. Gave plenty of time before our order and great recommendations. I had the Chicken Parmesan with Fettuccine Alfredo, my daughter had original chicken Parm. Wife had Shrimp Scampi. The chicken Parm is 5 stars and beyond. If youre only here once get it! The fettuccine Alfredo is amazing as well. I tried my wifes shrimp scampi without the shrimp and it was as expected, probably 4 stars. But overall what a great dinner lovely people and amazing food. You wont be disappointed.

Wife had Spaghetti and meatballs and I had the Chicken Alfredo and they were both awesome, nice and friendly staff, been here a few times and never had to wait to be seated, place is very clean, clean silverware everytime (I always check silverware)... I remember going to Sammys for dinner with my family 25 years ago when I was in high school. I couldnt believe then how good the food was nor how authentic. It always seem to be. Fast forward to today in 2023, their food is just as good as I remember. we re still fairly new to town so this was our first time at Sammy s by recommendation of a friend. it was by far the best little hidden spot we ve found in burleson. our waiter, who s name i unfortunately didn t get, was definitely on top of it. he kept up with our food and drinks but wasn t overbearing. the food came out hot, fresh and fast. it was absolutely delicious. the whole family left full and satisfied. the vibe of the restaurant was quiet and peaceful. u could tell they have plenty of regulars which is always a good sign. if your ever in the area i highly recommend trying it.

Nice, simple old school setting. Bread and Alfredo is good. Food overall is decent. Nothing to write home about or plan a special date to but good for quick pop in pop out type deal. Servers are nice. Very comparable to Joes or any other old school mom and pop Italian joint. No calamari on menu, if your a real Italian foodie but decent experience none the less.

They do not serve any alcohol, beer, or wine. However, BYOB is acceptable! If you want some Italian comfort food then please check this spot out. WORST PLACE EVER!!!! I eat out alot from mom & pop restaurant to high end. Now I ordered a side salad with their house dressing! House dressing pretty good. I ordered shrimp scampi w/pasta. I even asked about 5 questions, pertaining to this dish.4 pretty good size shrimp,the pasta was soak in a butter sauce. Not a wine sauce, BUTTER and the shrimp was over cooked. Hard and rubbery. Now My server perfect, asked me how my meal was ,I was honest .so what i ate us bread and salad for $26.47 now i had water and $6 was a tip. I told the owner exactly what you just read. Didnt say hes sorry,didnt say hey next time your in Ill give you a free salad.But this is what he did say well we been here for 27 years and people love us. Word from word he spoke this to me. I also went prime time lunch time too. 4 tables were taken, the rest empty. Now If I knew I was gonna be served butter noodles and over cook shrimp.Of course I wouldnt have gone. Overall, really good Italian food. We went on a weeknight for an early dinner. The salad was fresh and crispy, and the vegetable soup was hearty. I didnt care for the rolls because they were a little hard and chewy to me. I did enjoy the Salmon with capers which was delicious if you like lemony sauces like me. Kids ordered from the kids menu: fettuccine Alfredo, and lasagna (I think). My husband and sister got the shrimp fettuccine, and my father n law ordered the shrimp scampi. The food was great. The kids wanted olive garden, but the food there isnt authentic Italian and tastes very generic to me and way over priced. This place had better service and the food was way better in my opinion and all of the kids even said they like Sammys better. For 7 people I spent less than 100 and got better quality food made and served by actual Italians you may not get the endless soups and salad but to me its worth not getting for the better food quality. The portions were perfect as well. You do get as much free bread as you want as any other place. You can tell they actually make it. Not pre packaged like olive garden. Now that I changed their minds wed rather go there any day over olive garden. The kids loved their real handmade pizza. Better than the big restaurants frozen junk. Best to have better food and price than over pay for generic bland fake Italian. Sammys is #1 for us now Vegetarian options: Eggplant Parmigian is excellent

As always when we go, the food is delicious and the staff is great. The waiters and waitresses constantly check to make sure if you need anything. Its quite and cozy and love the low lighting. The time to pay, we noticed that they included a 20% tip on the account and when we asked , they said I was forced to pay 20% in tip. Now, the tip is added of the restaurant. The guy told me that when we come back that no one will waiter me and that we were not allowed to return if we don t give a 20% tip. I always leave tip but they said it wasn t enough. Don t come here. It is incredible how a large restaurant can t pay employees enough but now force customers to pay. I like this place and the food but the way they treat me is a shame they said if you don t pay the 20% not body will serve you the next time. My answer I have a budget for tip but nobody can force me to pay wherever they said.

Found out their Stromboli is premade and had to be cut open to add items. Decide to go with the chicken parmigiana. When it came, you could tell that this was also premade (too perfect to be hand made). Very disappointed since the price was around $15. Could make the same meal at home with premade stuff for under $5. Also drinks are overpriced. Do not intend to revisit.

They are down to earth, friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. And ,if I do say so myself; the tea was exactly the way i like it. Perfect . 10/10. Food was great and atmosphere was amazing but my server demanded a larger tip than what I have him, saying is this it. I understand that he makes most of his money off tips but this was extremely rude.

It was good overall, the food was not the best Italian food Ive ever had but not bad either. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options,please see their menu for choices. Parking: Regular free parking lot Kid-friendliness: They have kid approved items on the menu, please see their menu for choices. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to step up into, so definitely wheelchair accessible.
