We sat outside. It was very hot. They seemed to have fans but they were off. They could benefit of having fan misters. Also there is no servers, you have to go inside to get drinks and you have to order online from the food truck that is outside and get your food from there. Kid-friendliness: There is a big game that kids were playing.

9/12/2024 This business was difficult to rank for me. On one hand, the beer selection is clearly excellent. The location and place itself makes it have a great personality but also very difficult to park when crowded. They need to re-train the team to offer better fast and friendly service . I need to go again to have a final ranking but for now a well deserved 4 stars.

My first brew-pub when I moved to Austin. Their house brews are a bit strong but, you get a full pilzner of beer. Fair warning, if you break $100 on your tab, you get auto-grated %20

Unpretentious Austin of yesteryear still stands with an amazing beer (and now cocktail and wine) selection with the adjacent Little House food truck to help you along with your libations. Dart boards. Great patio seating. And an ambiance that can t be bested.

The staff are RAD, drinks are GREAT for a reasonable price, food is *chefs kiss*, and always a fun crowd of locals, regulars, first time visitors, pups, and kiddos. GO OFTEN. Parking: After 5:30pm during the week and all day on weekends you can park for free at the adjacent medical offices, just to the north of the Draught House parking lot. Look at their website for a handy map.

We come here for a Meetup. Inside is dark and musty and feels like an old pub in London, which is kinda fun. We always sit outside on the long picnic tables. Its covered which is nice since its been raining quite a lot. Theyve got a wide variety of beer - including alcohol-free which I appreciate. The prices are also reasonable. I wish they had a few more trailers. To be fair though, I havent paid much attention at what they offer, so maybe I should do that first.

Came here for the first time for an anniversary party for this place some many years ago (2011?). Was super stoked to finally see what this place was about. The lines were out the door and down the street to order. We waited forever, finally get to order and everything we wanted wasn t available. They insisted we just order a Fire Eagle (local IPA). We didn t drive across town, to come to an anniversary party at a beer establishment to order beers we can find any other place. We were caught off guard having waited 20-30 minutes in the hot sun outside to order any beer. We didn t know what to order so they just gave us Fire Eagles which I refused. They made us step aside while they served other customers. The bartender was extremely rude and unprofessional. Somehow I got an anniversary glass here with Draught House on it. I know many many beer drinkers and service industry (brewery folks) in Austin and a lot of people have tried to buy the glass from me. Apparently a lot of people say it shouldn t even exist? Well I don t know but I do know that this was the worst beer spot I ve ever been to in Austin, and most people will rave about how great it is. Unfortunately for me, we never came back after our awful experience and thought you should know how terrible the staff was here many years ago. Kid-friendliness: These people are not friendly at all

I love this Austin staple, been going for almost 15 years. Their selection of beer is top notch and their cocktails arent too shabby either. They have expanded their outdoor seating which is where most people spend their time. The inside is still as grungy as ever and smells of yeast and freshly made/spilled beer. One negative is that there are only two single-occupant bathrooms.

Just popped in for a couple of beers. Very British atmosphere and the closest beer I have found to a traditional English bitter as I find the American IPAs far too hoppy and often far too strong. There is outside seating and heaters available as the music inside is a little loud. Kind of felt like London with people milling about outside chatting. Well be back thats for sure to try the food.

Nice spot for a beer. I like the inside of the bar, it has a medieval / British / New England vibe. The table was sticky, but otherwise its a dark pub on the inside. I saw two dart boards in the corner, various sized tables. Outside there are a ton of picnic tables under shade and theres a food truck that I didnt try. The beers were reasonably priced, normal Pint sized glass. Pretty good beers. Id go back. Parking: Small parking lot on the property. We were able to find two spots on a weekday.

It was like pulling teeth asking what types. I hope they get some better options soon! The food truck was nice I like using the qr code to order, and they will let you know the expected wait time! Good vegetarian options. My drink tab was ran twice, once for the correct amount the second was ran for just the drinks and no tip. I resolved this by going to my bank. Keep in mind the food is a separate bill. Vegetarian options: Fries, curds, fried pickles are bomb! They have other options like a veggie brats on the menu.

I hadnt been back to the DH in years. It used to be my one of my favorite pubs in the 90s. You went there and they served beer in the frozen Conan goblets. Food was outstanding. It closed, reopened, closed, reopened, so I hadnt gone back in a while. About 7+ years ago I went to get a beer and the bartender was a bit snooty when I asked about beers. He said, We only serve Texas beers on tap here. Okay. So I stayed away for a while. Time has passed and I decided to go back and try it for dinner. Now there is no in-house kitchen and the have a food trailer close to the entrance. I ordered online, via the Toast app. I placed the order around 6:40 and the app told me that my fish and chips, creole fish and wings would be ready at 7:12 and they would text me when ready. Ive use Toast often and I always get texted when the food is ready. Around 7:16 and still no text. So I wander up to the trailer (no lines since everyone orders online) and its not too busy. I ask for my order and he says, Oh yeah....uhhh, here and he hands me one of two large trays theyve got sitting on the counter in front of him (hes above me by a few feet). Okay, the fish is small for that price. The fish is no longer hot. The chips (fries) are no longer hot. The wings are room temp. The fish is good, but you know how its just okay when youre eating fish at room temp? The wings are surprisingly very hot and good, but again at room temp. Also, they didnt sauce the wings very well. Yes, they were rolled around in Buffalo hot sauce, but it wasnt drenched in sauce. Sent over $50 for all 3 orders and it wasnt worth it if youve got park yourself at their window checking to see if your food is really ready.

the Draught House is a classic pub. Has that kinda sour, stale beer smell when you walk in, has more taps than you can count on you and your buddys hands and feet, and has a wide ranging clientele: from UT profs to local medical professionals to college kids to salarymen to the local weirdos. Great place to get tanked but make sure the last one isnt too strong, their homebrews can pack a punch and leave you lookin for earl in the grass along 290 on the way home.

Pretty good vibes one of the beers tasted like the keg was maybe going rank and the bartender was pretty standoffish

Great beers, usually several cask aged brews and a food truck with good burgers, great fries and vegan options if youre so inclined

Everything about this place is awesome. There are plenty of choices for beer, cider, and wine drinkers alike, and the food truck is awesome. This is a great hang for us older types. Dive bar vibes without dive bar quality/claustrophobia. Vegetarian options: There is a beyond meat equivalent for every meat item on the menu other than fish and chips.

Great classic Austin vibe outside, good English pub vibe inside. Lots of seating but not too much parking. Bar service was meh, beer was delicious. Food truck service was fast and burgers were delicious. My biggest complaint was no high chairs even though there were a ton of babies there and it seems to be a business that attracts families.

Great atmosphere and a good beer selection. Theres also a decent amount of parking in the evenings, which is always a plus when youre looking for a place to meet up with friends.

Great atmosphere, fun place to enjoy a seat outside, but I waited an hour for my order of fries and cheese curds. The food truck employee was working hard, but couldve used some help.

The draught house is an institution. Gone are the days of tailgating in the parking lot. But you know what, the picnic benches rock too. The burgers from the food trailer are amazing. The service is as grumpy as ever, I guess it really wouldnt be proper if either of the bags cracked a smile (though one can always hope for change), and at most times the line moves reasonably fast. And its the draught house! Ill happily wait 5 minutes for my beer.
