Y all don t order the paella it s missing the best part which is the signature suck on rice at the bottom of pan and it tasted premade and reheated not a good representation of the dish. At Spanish restaurants I typically order the Spanish Tortilla as a base line (kind of like a person orders a pepperoni pizza to get a baseline at a new pizza spot) but I couldn t bring myself to order it because of the $13 price for a portion. I make a damn good one for $6 that feeds 4 people. (For a 10 inch pan Ingredients: 4 med/lg russet potatoes, 1 lg sweet yellow onion, 7 lg eggs, 4-6 Tbsp Olive Oil, Salt). We also ordered the patatas bravas, croquetas, dates, the lamb and the salmon. All of which underwhelming.

Lovely ambiance and attentive wait staff. Unfortunately, if youve ever had tortilla or patatas bravas before do not have them here! tortilla tasted only of black pepper and had no nice browning. The patatas bravas were undercooked, not crispy, and what should have been a lovely spicy red sauce was simply awful.

Atmosphere is great. The cloth napkin they served us was dirty and the menu cover did not have menu in it. But we were like it is okay, not a great start but let s try tapas. Almost all the tapas came with extreme garlic. In fact now all the garlic taste is coming back to me. It has been 4 hours since we dined in and my stomach still doesn t feel good. I will not go there again. This was it:/

My husband and I dined at Elia last night and it was a lovely experience. The food was perfectly spiced and delicious and the space is beautifully decorated. It made for a perfect date night spot. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. After dinner we sat in the bar area to listen to the piano/guitar duo and have a cocktail. I had the Hemingway which was so, so good and hubby had a cucumber drink that I dont remember the name of but it was remarkable. We definitely recommend Elia and will be going back soon. Wheelchair accessibility: There was a gentleman in a wheel chair near us and he seemed to have maneuvered in and out just fine.

I was very excited to visit this restaurant, but was very disappointed in the service and details. We had a reservation at 7:15 pm. We arrive promptly at 7:15 pm, we were not seated until about 7:40 pm because they were cleaning off the table for more than 20 minutes. The AC was also broken and it was very hot. The thermostat was set to 62, but it was 82 degrees in the building. Service was very slow from refilling drinks to the food being brought out. The real kicker was that we were told one of the main entrees we ordered was not available about 20 minutes after we had placed our orders. To find out this late is unacceptable. We later found out that this dish had run out the night prior. We should have been informed immediately upon ordering. They offered a different comparable dish which we agreed to 15 minutes later after everyone else was half way through eating their meal the substitute dish came out several undercooked. Another 5 minutes later, the dish finally came out after everyone had already finished eating. At this point, we were ready to leave. They asked if we would like dessert, we declined they brought still brought out a complimentary dessert which was a nice gesture, but we were ready to leave. When the check came out the substitute dish that came out very late and raw was still on the check this dish was also more expensive than the original dish we had ordered. After waiting for our waiter to come by our table for 5 minutes we had to track them down to ask them to remove the dish from the check. The atmosphere of the restaurant www nice, and the food was not bad. The service however, was unacceptable.

My husband and I have been there three times now in about a two week span with various groups in tow. Every time the staff have been polite, efficient, kind, and complete service with a smile. They were accommodating of all dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, and nightshade), and everything was amazing and delicious even with the limitations we had. DJ, Maddy, Isaiah, all of the staff have been wonderful to us. Weve enjoyed the brunch and dinner menus, and the food of both are high quality and affordable. It reminds of a luxury restaurant without breaking the bank, and the live music during dinner was phenomenal. Definitely recommend for when you have friends or family visiting from out of town, or even just a good date night. Dietary restrictions: They were extremely accommodating of mine and my husband s dietary restrictions. He cannot have any gluten, and I cannot have tomatoes or peppers. They found substitutes for us, had gluten free menus already prepared, and were very kind and careful about everything.

I want to love this place so much. The atmosphere is very nice. My first experience was ok. I wasnt wowed considering its a little expensive. The drinks were good and the empanada was fine as well. They forgot an item that I ordered, no biggy it happens. The rest of the food was average. I went back and have to say it was disappointing. The server was overwhelmed. He was trying but we did not get great service. It wasnt very busy, so Im not sure why. The food was a C at best. My friend had the Halibut and asparagus. It was so tasteless. The asparagus was so limp and the potatoes were not cooked well. My pecan chicken was better, but nothing to brag about. I think that is my last visit.

Local here. First time visit. What a wonderful addition to town! Locally owned, to my knowledge. Great date place. Drinks are well made. Ask about their specials for an unusual treat. While this is a Tapas restaurant, it s an Americanized version, from my understanding and experience. Portions are well sized for the price. Live music on occasion. Honestly, this is a sleeper in downtown Bryan! Check them out! Worth a visit! We will be back for a second visit. (My only issue, if you can call it that, was their mashed potatoes because they had the taste and consistency of instant mashed potatoes. Not making any accusations l, just stating my experience)

What a delight to find this Tapas place in Bryan. More traditional Spanish inspired dishes versus the Mediterranean style you will get at Primrose Path (also excellent). The scallops were presented in scallop shells which made provided an excellent presentation. We tried several dishes and they were all good but the Empanadas stood out as the best. You could put anything in that pocket of dough and it would be amazing. Maybe they should make some chocolate/hazelnut ones for dessert

Food was good, although they put bacon on a Caesars salad for a guest who requested shrimp instead of chicken because she doesnt eat meat. Bacon was not mentioned on the menu. On an earlier visit, we received almonds on the goat cheese and beet salad (not mentioned on the menu) and one guest has an almond allergy. Service this time was terrible. There were four tables and three waiters, but we waited 15 minutes for our check after finishing, and another 15 minutes for the card to come back. I think our waiter may have been assigned to other duties in the kitchen and so was not paying attention to his tables. He was nice, but also had no idea what kind of bread the sandwiches came on. He said, I think its ciabatta. They need to train their waitstaff. Dietary restrictions: They had no clue.

This is my second visit. I decided not to post my first experience because I was certain that at this price point I just ordered the wrong stuff or the kitchen was still working out the food prep. Well, here we are on the second trip and it was no better. While the duck was flavorful it was tough with a considerable amount of gristle. The potatoes did not have a potato taste and were grainy. I had the salmon and it was very dry. The sauce was lackluster. There was no point to the sauce, it did not contribute any moisture or flavor. The asparagus was limp and lacked flavor, not sure how that was possible because even asparagus from a can tastes like asparagus. The second attempt was the braised beef with Brussel sprouts and potatoes. Each item was amazing with distinct flavor. The brussel sprouts were slightly charred and a little crisp and very tasty. The potatoes were cooked and a little crisp with a light salt and pepper and maybe a little grated cheese. The beef was fork tender and the tomato sauce was robust and think a little sweet and a little tangy. The only problem is that the beef shank was cold (very cold in the center). So I asked for a box and took it home. The waitress was nice but not as attentive as one might expect. They did switch out the meal quickly once my concerns were clear. The food is inconsistent and it seems like there is no-one checking plates before they leave the kitchen. I am guessing this is my last visit. Of making a decision this one is certainly worth skipping in favor of some of the more consistent option around.

Was our first visit to Elia and we went with all tapas so we could try a variety of their food. We started with a bottle of Pinot Noir from Chilie that was very taste and reasonably priced at $42. Next up was the tapas. Five decent sized sea scallops came first and the presentation was excellent. I prefer the scallop foot removed, but wasn t a show stopper. They were cooked medium rare and were not seared if that s what you like. Empanadas came next, (2) cut in half placed on a sauce that is slightly sweet but a nice combo. Escargot followed the empanadas, cooked in their shell. I haven t seen many places do this, so was a nice surprise. It s always fun using the snail holders and baby forks . Those suckers are slippers so be careful. We went for shrimp scampi (6) next and had a nice red pepper flake kick in an excellent sauce. Happy it wasn t just an oily butter base. We tried to go for one more round of tapas but it s our thing to taste crème brûlée any place that serves it. The torched sugar top was perfect. The custard had a good flavor and temperature. I personally prefer a more firm custard to one that has a pudding consistency, but worth the $10. Atmosphere is great here bc of the building and interior vibe. There was a gentleman playing live music which we always love. Our waitress, Amber was excellent! I d definitely come back to try a few more things. I didn t give it 5 stars only because it wasn t the best I ve ever had, and I didn t like any of the main course options. It was very good and we will be back. It s worth a try and the tapas we had filled us both up. Minus the wine our bill was $80 for 5 items.

We chose to visit it because it was a new option in the city, but we were disappointed. The place is nice, and the service is very good, We went to taste good food, and this is missing there, too fried and salty. Very little variety, quantity, and flavor, at a high price for what they serve. All the tapas we ordered were either not finished or very refried. Furthermore, the portions were excessively tiny for the price, and tapa is not synonymous with little. IT IS NOT Spanish food, just the name, thats why we didnt continue ordering, we went for paella. We wish you to improve in quality.

Wow, this place is fantastic! My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day at Elia Cafe Tapas Bar and were so glad we did. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing, but their willingness to accommodate my wifes allergies was incredible. Before we arrived, Madison had already briefed our server and the kitchen about my wifes limitations. While the Valentines Day menu was prix fixe, my wife was able to substitute to accommodate her diet. Based on experience, weve learned that this kind of service is rare on a normal night and exceptional on a busy night like Valentines Day. Incredibly, the food and atmosphere were just great as the service. All four courses were generous and delicious. The paella mixta, grilled salmon and pastel de chocolate were particularly good. Our server, Chase, kept the perfect pace with just the right amount of time between courses. We highly recommend Elia Cafe Tapas Bar and well definitely be back. Dietary restrictions: Elia Cafe Tapas Bar was very accommodating of my wife s allergies. They went above and beyond!!

The temperature inside was warm and service was ridiculously slow due to a large party in the back room. Additional staff especially a bartender should be available for these situations. The tables are very crowded and I was bumped several times. There was also a plank beneath my husband s chair that was loose and when stepped on jostled him. Crazy. The live music was entirely too loud to the point that we could not hear one another without really raising our voices. We went somewhere else as soon as the meal ended. The Paella was 99% rice with 2 extremely small clams and 2 very small mussels. I was not impressed. The Milenesa was not seasoned and pretty bland. Drinks were good. Server was ok and the atmosphere was good as the piano player had yet to get started. We were sitting close to him and we were pretty convinced it would be too loud. Glad we left before he started. Started great with the bread and olive tapenade. Unfortunately that was that was the best thing we had. Shrimp had a very fishy taste, and the broth was odd tasting. Calamari was overcooked to the point that it was very dry. The sauce was good, though. Shishito peppers were blistered well but had zero flavor. Needed salt and acidity. The braised pulled pork sandwich was inedible. Potato chips were crisp but again had no flavor (like eating raw potatoes). I love the idea of the concept, and the portions were great, but food has to be better.

I was blown away at the experience and will definitely be back. Being from out of town, I wish we had an Elia near us. Bryan is definitely fortunate to have this new gem in town!

Elia is a great place to have tapas. The restaurant is gorgeous with a very welcoming environment, and the food is delicious. I tried the papas bravas, the paella and the peppers and I recommend all of them. I will definitely come back again soon.

Incredible food. The ham and cheese croquettes are life changing. B/CS has been sorely missing out on Spanish food and Elia serves the absolute best of Spain. Sangria was definitely on point!
