My previous review was removed, but the food took over an hour longer after we arrived when it was ordered online. We arrived about a half hour after ordering, so roughly hour and a half total. Nobody seemed to care that we were inconvenienced and the only response I got from the owner was that he didnt want me to leave a negative review. The pizza came out with a large chunk missing out of it and his response to that was that its home made. Recommend going to a place that takes the customer experience seriously.

I am not one to normally leave reviews like this but am inclined to make sure others know about our family s experience this past weekend. The concept of the place is fun. I liked seeing the greens being grown there at the Co-op. The bar area looks nice and appeared to have a nice, separate room for a larger party and a nice patio. But as far as the experience, it was rough. We had a reservation at 1:30 (family weekend and we wanted to be able to get right in). We didn t get sat until after 2 (and that is with the place being nearly empty). It takes approx 20 minutes after that for someone to drop off empty water glasses at our table. She said someone would be back later with water. Another 20 minutes go by and we finally get to order. We order a few drinks and our food. We continue to wait another 45 minutes for anything to come out. Including the drinks. All the while we are watching the wait staff and the bar tender kind of wander around. I had to send back the one drink (cucumber blossom) because it tasted nothing like the ingredients listed. Watching them make it and i should have guessed. We eventually get our food orders. We had 3 of the breakfast burgers. They were okay. The sides of potatoes were laughable but burgers fine. The BLT was fine. Fruit servings were fresh and would order that again. But the margarita and carnivore pizzas weren t even cooked thru. We couldn t eat them. The waitress didn t offer to do anything with them so we just asked her to bring the check. She did end up removing the pizzas. This was over 2 1/2 hour experience in a restaurant that was not even busy. When we asked the waitress if everything was okay or if they just needed more staff her reply was no they were just busy earlier in the day and would be busy again later on. So not sure why we had the experience that we had. Wish the place luck because I do love a good farm to table place. Attaching pics of the pizza.

Okay so we had brunch here this morning and it was a really bad time. I am writing this on behalf of my group and all four of us agreed this was a wildly bad service experience. We had a reservation and we re sat we got our waters quickly and everyone got their mimosas and they did really like them. BUT once we ordered food our waitress kinda disappeared. We waited almost an hour for our breakfast food to come out and my breakfast tacos had cold eggs and the smallest portion size of potatoes. The chicken and waffles had good chicken but the waffle was hard like when you leave it out too long and it gets cold, not nice warm and fluffy. The biscuits and gravy were bland and the gravy had a film over it like it had been left sitting out. The chicken sandwich was dry and not flavorful at all, but the bread and aoli were good, so not a total fail there. Not once did any service staff come over and apologize for the wait our waitress felt like she was avoiding us because she knew they were dropping the ball. The chef also brought out our food and not a nice word or apology from him either. Overall I think they could all benefit from some training in hospitality to make customers feel better about waiting soo long for cold food.

Food was cold, and the flavor was not good. Food tasted like it was made the day before and served. Menu items served with other items and not what was listed. Example waffle had no whipped cream and the syrup was regular pancake syrup not the bourbon syrup listed. Definitely will not be back and would not recommend. Server was polite but very slow responding.

Food was great! Service was a little slow as we were 1 of 3 groups there for lunch at opening. To be fair, kitchen staff had a huge to go order for an entire doctors office. Staff were super nice, though, and corrected the order for my mother in law super fast. The cocktails were great. Would definitely love to come back for brunch or happy hour time to see a livelier atmosphere.

The service here was horrible. We waited an hour and had to ask to order. The charcuterie board was very disappointing for the price, as the fruit was bruised and looked old. When we asked about the chips due to a severe gluten allergy, they clearly had no idea what they were talking about and served us flour tortilla chips, even after asking several times. We asked for a refund on the chips since she is allergic to them and was unable to eat the meal, yet they continued to charge us for it. They also messed up our drink orders twice and took half an hour to bring us the drinks, and still continued to bring us the incorrect drinks so we just gave up. Dietary restrictions: Horrible with the gluten allergy and continued to serve us flour tortilla chips and after asking several times if they were gluten free

Our favorite meal during our week in Lubbock! Not only was our server, Angel sensational and attentive (give that man a raise!), but the food was delicious. Delightful drinks, main course, and dessert were had by all. Definitely perfect if youre looking for a signature cocktail or draft beer, the best birria taco youve ever had, or a bite of perfectly prepared sour cream cake. Everything was excellent.

The Co-Op Public House is a scratch kitchen offering a spin on New American food and a relaxed yet modern atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday, and it was Taco Tuesday with taco specials and an extended margarita menu. I had the Co-Op Margarita (only $6 on Tuesday!) and it was delicious. I had to practice a lot of self restraint to not keep em coming. There were 3 taco choices and I had one of each. They were not traditional tacos, instead filled with unique garnishes and sauces. The BBQ Chicken taco was my favorite of the 3 and the steak was my least favorite, only because the steak was chewy. My husband had the Carnivore Pizza, and now I want to go back on $10 pizza day to try the others! Good selection of beers on tap, awesome service, and plenty of seating on a Tuesday evening.

The food here is great. Unfortunately we hated the layout of the place. The tables are all crammed together. The people at the table next to you are about 2 feet away. The wife and I went here for a date night and right next to us was a table with transgender people who were talking loudly and they were so close to us we couldn t even have a conversation and it made for a horrible experience. People can have whatever lifestyle they want I don t care and don t judge but I don t want to listen to it while I am trying to enjoy a nice meal. I don t know how to reply to your response so I am adding it here. The only other restaurant I have been to in Lubbock that has tables like yours is Cheesecake Factory and we won t be going back there either. I am talking about the tables all in a row against the wall with a small space between them. It feels like the people next to you are at your table. Heck the tables are so close we could tell the people on the other other side of us were annoyed by the loud talking. I have attached two photos from your instagram showing how close they are.

My brother and sister graduated this year from Texas Tech. The Co-Op Public House was the PERFECT place to host their graduation dinner. Graduation weekend in Lubbock is pure CHAOS as thousands of families want to celebrate their graduates. The restaurant was so extremely helpful while they accommodated more than 40 of us in their event room on top of a completely full restaurant. Lucas reached out often before our reservation and was such a great communicator. He went above and beyond to help make this night such a special one. Our server, Gabby, was sweet, attentive, and timed everything perfectly. The cocktails were beautiful, refreshing, original, and delicious. The food was fresh and soooo satisfying. If I could give more stars, I would. :) This place will not disappoint!

I had a lunch date with a friend last week. It was my first experience Dining in. First impression was the modern vibe from the parking lot. Upon entering, I was immediately pleased with the visual esthetics of the place. Yall They grow and sell their veggies. Butter lettuce for under $4, wow! We were greeted and sat immediately. The server was very kind and answered menu questions we had (and we had a few since wed never been). For starters we had a Ceasar salad and mushrooms. Dressing tasted authentic and the shrooms were to die for! We ended up going with the Thursday pizza special for $10, and it did not disappoint. I immediately called a friend when we left and told them to go try it out. I will definitely be going back for a dinner date to try new items.

This place is great. Creative menu, excellent service, cool ambiance. Went for Sunday brunch two weeks ago and really enjoyed our salmon avocado toast. Drinks are a little high ($10 for a well whiskey coke) but made up for it in atmosphere. Ate a second time there tonight for my daughters 18th birthday. We had the: roasted mushrooms, which everyone agreed was the best part of the meal (definitely ordering them again) Cajun spring rolls, not bad but probably won t order again, the margarita pizza was excellent, bone in pork chop was good but overcooked, halibut the same, and steak filet was good but a little undercooked. We topped off dinner with the chocolate cheesecake. My daughter had one bite, only because my son gobbled up the rest. We had wonderful service and will be back for those mushrooms!

Went to this place for brunch after Easter service. The service was slow which is to be expected on Easter Sunday and having a party of 11. We didn t mind waiting so that wasn t an issue for us. Our server took our order and the food came out accordingly. Eventually, a new server came out and told us our other server was very busy and that she would be taking care of us from now on. Again, no problem. When it came time for the bill our server, who was also the manager and the bartender split up our bills with little issues. She was attentive to the problems with the bills (some minuscule overcharging on a coffee) and got it fixed. When we were all about done paying she proceeds to tell us that we made our previous server cry and that she wanted to have a talk with us. I asked if someone at the table was disrespectful or rude to the server in anyway and she said no, it was nothing y all did she is just really overwhelmed with the amount of tables she s taking care of. At this point I was confused on why she was being passive aggressive with us if our table had done nothing wrong. She then proceeded to tell the whole table that 3 of our patrons (3/11) had stiffed the waitress. At this point I was very frustrated because it is very unprofessional to tell somebody else s business. On top of that, with a large party CO-OP adds 20% gratuity to the total!! It felt as if she was speaking to us as children and was very unprofessional. Overall, the food was good, the manager seemed overwhelmed, undertrained, and unprofessional.

We asked what the problem was and she said it was nothing that we did specifically but that the server was just overwhelmed, then she proceeded to tell us that 3 of us (party of 12) stiffed the server out of a tip when there was already a 20% gratuity added to our bills. Overall the food was good, service was slow, servers/managers were unprofessional.

So glad I stumbled upon this restaurant. We booked the co-op s event center for a couples wedding shower. It was the perfect place to host a party! Chef Sal and his team did an amazing job. The food presentation matched the quality and flavors. Our guest had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food, especially the spinach dip and chicken piquillo sandwiches. The strawberry mimosas were also a big hit. The event center is a well appointed unique space with a cozy home feel to it. Think upscale boho without pretense. A private room set apart from the main restaurant, it hosts an intimate atmosphere. It was the perfect layout for our group of 30+ people. We were able to add a photo backdrop, gift table and guest sign in area with plenty of space for our guest to mingle freely. We will definitely book this space in the future. ***Photos and floral arrangements courtesy of Colby with Effortless Elegance.

My husband is from the Middle East and he got a smidge emotional when he tried the eggplant hummus as he said it tastes exactly like his mom s recipe! Every single course is spot-on and the attention to detail in plating is beyond anything I ve seen in Lubbock so far. The bun was super soft and delicious but the steak didnt do it for me. It was super tender and it should have been delicious, but it just didnt have any flavor. All in all, I think this definitely would be a place to try at least once. There were several things on the menu that j wanted to try so I could see is returning to try other things on the menu. The staff was super helpful and friendly and the restaurant was very clean and have a nice vibe. I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the whole place. So disappointing. Not only did the steaks taste like lighter fluid, the appetizers had little seasoning, and the manager lied about pricing. If you like to have a drink with your meal do NOT come here. A shot of Woodford Reserve was $50 and a shot of Blantons was $100. The manager said this is normal but at Funky Door (a much nicer restaurant) the Woodford is $12 and Blantons is $25 ($85 for the Gold version). You could get a cheaper drink at the airport than here. The manager was so disingenuous about the steaks that she started talking down on all her employees and blaming everyone else as if it wasnt her job to manage the restaurant correctly. This is even more disappointing as our waitress was the sweetest person and she was treated poorly by the manager because our entire table was honest about the experience. Hopefully the owner sees the error of their ways, but since we were informed that the owner cares little about the employees or day to day (and that the owner set the gouging prices at the bar) its likely that it wont change by the time youve read this review. We dont mind paying more for a great experience, the issue is this restaurant is giving almost nothing and wanting to be compensated for it while being abusive to customers and employees.

The wait-staff was saying everything (fruits, vegetables and meats) were sourced from local farmers & ranchers. The salmon was from Norway. Baked blueberry muffins and rolls were out of this world. The Pies (pizza pies) were a little eclectic with their roping s. I settled for a meat lovers pizza. Would dine there again!!!

I have been in 41 states, and eaten in some of the finest restaurants in most major cities. If it were an option to give less than one star I would. Its the absolute worst ending experience that Ive ever had. The first time they brought our steaks out they reeked of lighter fluid and tasted terrible. The second time they brought our steaks out to replace them. They were not done properly and they had cut my steak in half to try to see if they had prepare to correctly which they had not. Additionally, they charged $50 per 2 ounce pour of a 48.00 bottle of whiskey. Double the price of an airport bar. The waitress Laurie was remarkable. The manager, however, was incapable of dealing with a train wreck situation and the experience outside of the exceptional waitress was deplorable.

Went in for a mid-afternoon Saturday drink & snack. They were serving their brunch menu until 3, but it did include the pizzas, so that s what we got! The carnivore was delicious! The pizza crust had a delicious flavor on its own, and was airy yet sturdy. Reading the description on the menu, it sounded like it was going to be heavy and greasy, but it was very balanced and not overly sauced . It was evident the ingredients were fresh and of great quality!

This restraunt is very mediocre for the price. The food is ok, but for what you pay and for the type of restraunt, you think it would be better. The steak was almost half fat and the drinks were pretty small and expensive. There are plenty of very nice restraunts in town that are much better.

Food, service, and atmosphere are really great. Weve been going to the restaurant since day 1. Its been really disappointing lately that they cant make up their minds on the late kitchen hours and seem to close on a whim. You never know if they will close at 8:30pm or 10:00pm and thats a huge problem for me when trying to efficiently find quality late night food after work.

Heard this place was fab so we decided to give it a try. It was a huge miss. My steak came out raw. My husbands chicken was flavorless. I would say the food overall was under seasoned, over priced and not a lot of variety to choose from. The waiter would come check on us but if we needed something he would tell us he s going to help other tables before us. He did this several times and it was frustrating. With poor food and service we won t be back.

The environment is cool and drinks are great. The service was very slow and my friend ordered the steak not knowing it was served covered in a Dijon mustard sauce. Nowhere on the menu did it state it had a sauce on it, much less a very pungent Dijon mustard sauce. Needless to say, she did not like it and when I asked if we could send it back, the waiter said there was really nothing he could do about it He said he couldn t comp it because of the price. Umm but we should pay for some thing that we didn t like my meal took so long that everyone was done eating, and I switched my meal to a to go order because the restaurant was closing. The waiter did comp my meal, and when I asked him not to comp mine, but to comp the steak my friend didn t like instead, he said again he couldn t because it was more expensive. Worst part if it was her graduation dinner to celebrate all of her accomplishments. The meatballs were also burned. I give it a 2.

Zurielly our waitress, recommended a very good appetizer, as well as a cocktail for my wife ( I forget the name but it was made with orange fanta). We ordered the lasagna and the chicken. Both were super amazing, but dont forget to get the creme corn too. Definitely a new favorite from here on out. Make sure to try the ole fashion!!!!

The Co-Op is a phenomenal new restaurant in Lubbock TX working to assist the local economy with regionally sourced ingredients for their menus. PLEASE NOTE: Their menus change based upon the items received. But, the service, quality of food, and environment are all well enough for you to visit this location at your first opportunity.

We went there to eat dinner. The dinner menu is small and so small that even the staff had problems reading it. My wife ordered a grilled pimento cheese sandwich. She wasn t very hungry and it was a good thing, because for 12 dollars you get two regular pieces of bread with pimento cheese inside. No chips or other side item. The food was good but over priced and there isn t much of a choice. That is if you can read the menu.

Okay hang on folks, this is a good one. Wife and I just wrapped up date night dinner at Co Op Public House in Lubbock. The place has a unique vibe especially for Lubbock. We arrived at the perfect time and were seated quickly by a friendly hostess and started looking over the still quite small menu. Basically everything looked good and we were hungry so pretty soon we d ordered the confit chicken, the beef tenderloin, a margarita pizza, and a sour cream cake for dessert. Pizza came first and it was fantastic! The house-made crust was crisp on the outside and had the perfect chew inside. The pizza sauce was simple, but outstanding literally think I could drink a cup of it and be thrilled. Toppings were delicious and some incredible Parmesan probably parmesano reggiano, based on taste alone, shedded on top of it all. Delicious doesn t begin to cover it. But that s just the beginning. My wife s chicken was gorgeous, with crisp golden brown skin and litterally falling off the bone at the first touch. It was served atop some thinly sliced potatoes which were saturated with what I assume (but don t recall from the menu) was a rosemary thyme pesto giving them a green color and a flavor like nothing I ve ever tried before. They were delicious but mild. The potatoes showed through but the herbs were on full display. My steak was cooked perfectly and delicious with a light brown sauce that I didn t bother to analyze, just thoroughly enjoyed. Here s the star of the show: the potatoes that came with that beef tenderloin were whole new potatoes with a capers, (I believe) shallots, and (I believe) parsley. They were a work of art. Think flavor time bombs going off in perfect order through every bite. So delicious and unique. Then dessert. The sour cream cake had a few flakes of salt on top and part of the top was dusted with crushed pistachios. Underneath was a beautifully tart lime curd. The whole thing was a magic show of texture with an amazing creamy, sour, sweet, indescribable deliciousness. Our waitress was a sweetheart and was extremely attentive and helpful. This was a wonderful date night with my love and we both appreciate the staff and chef a ton. We ll be back and you should get over there quick. Support the good stuff that goes on around here and it ll stick around and multiply. Vegetarian options: They have salads and pizzas with no meat. If you can t get something vegetarian that you want try meat. It s good for you. Parking: No problem parking

GREAT service. Delicious food. My husband had the roasted chicken, which fell off the bone and tasted great with the potatoes. I had the soup of the day, that the waitress recommended, and it was AMAZING!!! I don t think of the adjective amazing for soups, but I m not over exaggerating. It was a roasted jalapeño soup, and it had just the right amount of spice that didn t linger uncomfortably after you ate it. The queso fundido was our appetizer and the creme brûlée was our dessert and both were also good! Definitely recommend this place for any occasion! Date night, family night, friend night. Whatever it is! Go!

This is what Lubbock needs, friends. Here you can get small plates, good veggie forward dishes, or classic (but still inventive!) chicken and beef mains. Don t want any of that? No worries just get an amazing personal pizza. You should probably get a pizza anyway. The cocktails are killer, and the wine list is fun and approachable. Lots of bar seating if that s your thing. The prices are GREAT. The service is perfectly calibrated. Get to it.
