Dont bother cleaning the carpets like stated in their lease. Theyre going to claim they werent cleaned to their standards even though when we moved in the capets were in worse condition than we left them as far as cleanliness goes. You can kiss your deposit goodbye and you should probably expect to pay extra upon move out. Dont recommend but Im just glad to be done with them.

DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH AT HOME PROPERTIES! Worst property management I have ever done business with. I would rather cut my leg off and try to grow it again than EVER live under a roof owned by them. HOWARD, MELISSA, and the leasing agents are all sneaky thief s. Horrible HORRIBLE customer service. No regard, respect, or humanity in these people. Will now be buying a home so I never have to live through the horror of AT HOME PROPERTIES again. These people have no heart and scheduled tours on a date that my grandfather and mother were in the hospital. I requested it to be rescheduled, to which was denied. If expect your SECURITY DEPOSIT back. You are better off dreaming about it in your sleep. They stole over $700 from me with no explanation. If you dispute your charges in writing, they will never get back to you. If you go dispute charges in person in office, they will argue with you. No professionalism, no hospitality. They will raise your rent over half and not give you the chance to renew your lease. They will schedule randomized tours of your unit at any time, any day, multiple times a day. You are better off signing a lease in section 8 maybe they will be nicer to you there. :) This is the first google review I ve ever left because I am utterly pissed off. Thank you.

Inhospitable, hostile staff. Run far and fast. There are other options, don t settle and get stuck. Believe the other reviews. Reply* Melissa, this review is not about how unhelpful and hostile you were on our call today. This is a warning to others to stay away from your business based on our time renting from you. Today was only a reminder, 3 years later, that you have not taken constructive criticism and listened to your tenants concerns. Do better and you will get better reviews based on fact, not your employees boosting your ratings.

Believe the reviews. They dont seem to care about their tenants, their staff is both rude, and uneducated. If youre a prospective tenant, RUN! If youre a property owner looking for a management company, RUN EVEN FASTER!!! If you live next to a property they manage, expect nothing to get fixed, curb appeal to be terrible, and any issues you attempt to bring to their attention to be ignored.

I must say Brad Clinton has been nothing but amazing since the day we signed our lease back in 2022. At Home Properties has been on top of any maintenance needs. I explained to them my situation and they understood when I needed to move out. I do recommend At Home Properties to anyone who would love to rent or buy from them. I have been renting with At Home Properties for a couple of years now and have had a great experience! They have been quick to respond to my maintenance orders when needed and have answered non urgent requests as well. I recently got engaged and needed a little extra time to figure out with my fiance what our future living plans were going to be. Melissa gave me an extra month to let them know if I would be renewing my lease or not which allowed us to make decisions during the holidays. It truly helped us out and made me feel like they cared about my time renting with them. I have had zero complaints and am happy to have rented with them!

We have encountered extremely poor customer service when in communication with the owner Melissa. In addition to the price gouging on our itemization of security deposit, she has been nothing but condescending, rude and disrespectful following our move out date. Thankful we didn t have to deal with her much during our time renting with At Home Properties because we spoke directly with the owner of the home (who was wonderful to work with) - I can t say the same for Melissa. Avoid at all costs.

BELIEVE all of those reviews about this company being rude and unprofessional We chose to ignore them and ended up with THE worst leasing experience ever. It first began with not even being able to get our keys on our actual move in day (which was noted on the lease). Then we finally get the keys and are greeted with a FILTHY house with a garage door that wouldn t even close. We asked if the house could be cleaned more before we fully moved in and Melissa declined. Fast forward to a few months later we are then told by Melissa that there are HOA fees we are responsible for from leaving our trash cans out. We look at the violations and they were from the tenants BEFORE us. (This was a never ending battle, and they still ended up deducting those fees from OUR deposit) Also good luck if you have any maintenance requests! They will send maintenance people who will come and start a job then leave saying they ll be back and it will be days or WEEKS before they return and finish. (The latch on our gate broke so we basically had a wide open gate for weeks until they fixed it properly) And of course upon move out we were scammed out of a majority of our deposit due to random fees that they can t even explain! This is a greedy unethical company that looks for ANYYY way to get extra money out of people. They have an extensive move out checklist in the lease and will charge ridiculous fees for anything not completed, yet will have you move in to a property where almost NOTHING on the list was completed?? Don t be fooled into thinking those fees actually go to cleaning or repairs, they go directly into Melissa s pockets. Oh might I add that they will also open your packages and steal the contents if they end up being delivered after the lease ends!! Yeah my package was delivered not even a week after the lease ended (my mistake I miscalculated) but I first asked if Melissa could possibly retrieve the package and she said no (of course not!! why would she try to do ANYTHING nice). So I then asked a friend to retrieve the package and they found a box that was ripped open and emptied Never had any problems with packages being stolen before, but one thing I do know is that At Home and their crews were in and out of the house at the time so it doesn t surprise me that THEY would steal my package. TLDR; Do not rent from these rude, unprofessional, money hungry bullies. They will steal your money AND packages

Yes I thought I was moving out of this Roach infested duplex. That At home properties management. Dont fix anything. And I just found out I signed more than a 1 year lease.Oh I thought they said Im there until July 2024 crooks All of them. Going to see attorney tomorrow. We recently rented a property in C.S. for our daughter, and Melissa has been a Godsend in helping us navigate work orders and other matters. At-Home and Melissa have been very responsive to our needs. Moving in, we had several things that needed to be addressed, and within 5 days they have been. If you have an opportunity to rent a property managed by At-Home, I would not hesitate. They are great!!

We were with at home properties for about 2 years before the owner decided to sell. During the time that I was under at home properties, everything was pretty smooth. We didnt have many issues with our unit but whatever we did need fixed, someone was out in a timely manner. I also appreciate the fact that I had an issue with seeing bugs in our unit, and even though pest control is the tenants responsibility, they were able to send a company over the very next day and completely rectified the situation with no charge to me. I would rent from them again.

Our rental is up to date and well maintained. Im sensitive to smells and our rental is so nice and clean. I love the flooring and fresh paint too. I highly recommend At Home Properties!

Fell into a sublease from some folks who subleased. Loved our home so much we signed another two year lease. Fell on some hard times in early 22 and the broker/owner Melissa was more than helpful and she really didn t have to be. She worked with us to get to the end of our lease and I am very grateful for her patience, understanding, and willingness to work through our issues with us. Front desk staff was sometimes not the friendliest, but my interactions with them were few. As far as maintenance goes, we had very few problems, but when we did, they were on it quick. Small things, I took care of myself so I didn t bother them with small things, but big things like the stove gas leak, and the garage outlets being whack from time to time. They re always able to communicate and be cordial, even when they don t have to be. I have dealt with many rental companies in the past and At Home has been great!

HORRIBLE PROPERTY AND MANAGER! We saw the info on the website they posted. And contacted them also made an in person tour. When we arrived AT HOME didn t show up .it means they missed the appointment. However, we call back and wait more until the unprofessional and rude staff came. They said the unit is not available . Also, the staff is not notified the original rental for the tour .and intrude into the apartment Everyone working in that office is RUDE! MOST UNPROFESSIONAL leasing company I have ever rented from!

At their best, they can be unreliable and have real issues with their communication. I have outstanding work orders for small repairs needed at the property that have been open for 5 months counting. Barring an emergency, prepare to wait several months at a minimum or pay to fix the issue yourself and save yourself the hassle. The only luck Ive had with timely repairs is by getting the phone number of one of their maintenance contractors directly, rather than working through At Homes extremely mediocre website that gives little sign that its actively managed/attended to. Small issues like loose outlet covers (fire hazard) were not a concern to them apparently, so I replaced most of them myself and ate the small cost. IMPORTANT: If any terms of the lease require a separate agreement/document (in our case, original lease stated pets were allowed but only under a separate pet agreement), DO NOT SIGN YOUR LEASE UNTIL ALL AGREEMENTS ARE FINALIZED THAT MAY BE RELEVANT. We were given an informal quote of what the required pet deposit would likely before signing the lease. Later, we were told in writing the official fixed amount of the deposit regardless of number of pets. Using this information, we adopted two pets and then were told that wed have to pay double the cost since wed adopted two. Even with the prior written agreement, they refused to abide by their word since we did not force a signature from them first. Do not trust any word from them, in word or in writing, without a legally binding signature. Lastly, to whatever degree the agents care about professionalism or basic respect, it goes out the window the second they have no incentive to be nice to you. Our units were recently sold to a new buyer, and my automatic rent payments in At Homes website were canceled Jan 1st, the day rent was due. At least I was notified, but given no explanation as to why. Checking the website, I had also been locked out of all manual/one-time payments. The office was closed until Jan 3rd, and late fees begin Jan 4th, so I call then Jan 3rd to try to quickly resolve the issue. They explain that because my unit was sold I still owe payments to At Home but can only make the payments in-person with check or money order instead of on the website for the remainder of my lease. They talked down to me: they made me feel small and stupid for me simply asking why I can no longer pay rent in the usual way and if I will be forced to pay late fees even though I called them on the first day the office had reopened so I could resolve the issue in a timely manner. When I asked why they could not have provided the courtesy of a communication on how my payment options had changed, they still were snotty to me and made it clear they didnt think I was their concern any longer, just to pay the money. Honestly was surprised by the gall. Nothing extremely negligent or disastrous has happened to me while renting with this company. The unit is a good quality for the rental price and is pretty functional with a few nice touches. To make it clear: I really truly love the unit and it was an easy sell for me. But At Home Properties themselves should be factored into your lease as worth ZERO help/value to you, and if anything potentially a negative. Given my experience, I really doubt Ill get any of the Safety Deposit back, even though I plan to leave the place in great condition. Will update this review, originally left 03JAN23, to confirm. EDIT (03JAN23): Since posting this review, I was contacted by another agent from At Home that my ability to pay via the website has been reinstated. EDIT (21FEB23): In the past two months, the work orders that were still open have been addressed. The sale of the property was complete and we were notified and walked through the process and how our payments would continue to process. An agent from At Home called to address the negative experiences documented in the review, which was appreciated.

I purchased one house in College Station in 2007 as my first son began attending A&M. My two younger sons also eventually attended A&M. Together, we all handled finding additional tenants (who were either friends of my sons or relatives) from 2007 until my youngest son graduated in Summer 2013. I initially contacted AtHome Properties about handling the management of my house in early 2013. Being very particular about details and communication, I was very happy with the initial discussions with the owner and one of the property managers. The first few months were spent getting to know the AtHome staff and them getting to understand what my expectations were as a home owner/client. Once we all became familiar with each other and our expectations of each other...I was very pleased with all aspects of how things were handled. In early 2015, my AtHome assigned property manager helped me find 2 more houses to purchase in CS for additional rental properties. Once I closed on these houses, my AtHome property manager began to handle those properties as well. Since 2015, I have continued to own these 3 rental properties and have the AtHome team manage them for me. I have been very pleased with how the AtHome team has handled all aspects of these rental properties for the last 8 years. They have done a good job of keeping the properties occupied, finding solid tenants and helping to keep the monthly rental amounts in line with the going rates in CS. One of these properties has been a family home and the other two have been specifically targeted for students. I have only had issues with one tenant in all of this time. AtHome did a very good job of handling that problem tenant for me. They have also done a good job of handling all maintenance aspects of all 3 homes for me. They have done a good job of keeping me in the loop on all major repairs or maintenance that was needed or planned. I review each months billing meticulously and there have only been a handful of times where their billing/invoicing process has had a few hiccups. The few times there have been mistakes, I have always been able to contact AtHome and work through those issues to my satisfaction in a timely manner. I genuinely appreciate the efforts & dedication of everyone I have ever worked with at AtHome. I look forward to continued success with my rental properties in CS and working with the AtHome team.

Cannot say enough nice things about At Home Properties! They are very communicative and work really hard to work with you on things. Due to graduating and moving to start my new job, I needed my lease to end two months earlier than stated on my lease agreement. They told me they would be willing to list my property for lease early that way I wouldn t have to pay two months of rent for an empty place. They did just that, got it leased earlier, and I m so thankful! Typically, property management companies are unwilling to work with you but I m so glad At Home Properties did.

HORRIBLE PROPERTY! Unprofessional and RUDE! I was told that they could enter my dwelling at any time without me being there! Whether I like it or not! Very disturbing! I understand if they are trying to sell my unit, but be courteous about my schedule! I dont get paid when I am not at work! And they are bullying me about going into my home; with or without my permission! NO THANK YOU! I honestly wished I had read these comments BEFORE moving in! Everyone working in that office is RUDE! I am not here to just give out 5 stars just cause....I have been renting through AHP for the past 4 years now and I do not have anything bad to say about them. Just a few months ago my AC went out over the WEEKEND! Phew, it was so hot yall! I went on the website to get contact information for them and I texted who ever I could and they responded back quickly and had someone out to the house immediately that day! Like seriously someone came out 3 hours later! Unfortunately, the issue was not 100% fixed, which was not any of AHP fault so I dont hold them to it. They were able to help me get the house back up with AC quicker than expected. AHP doesnt bother me with anything but when I bother them they are always so polite and understanding. I am proud to say I am a tenant with AHP! :)

At Home Properties is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I have lived in College Station for 4 years and have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. I am usually not the type to leave negative reviews, but with how awful this company is, I feel it is necessary. The staff is awful and anytime I have ever called to ask for assistance, they are extremely rude and nothing would get resolved. The owner Mellisa is extremely unprofessional. She is very inconsiderate and rude. The day of move in, she told me she did not care how much I had paid in movers that she didn t have the keys to my house and was basically out of luck. Also, the house was never properly cleaned or inspected. I just had it done recently and have been living with black mold in the vents, smoke detectors, and window seals. The house had severe damages such as water leaking flooding the inside and maintenance would never complete the tasks or would just plain out ignore us. They are an awful company so I recommend to never use them. These are just the few pictures I have and none of these things were ever resolved.

We moved into our rental June of 2020. We faithfully paid our rent and made improvements on the home as needed. We intended to leave the home in Jun 2022. Maintenance was decent during our tenure. The office staff was unprofessional, rude, and upon move out was incredibly unprofessional. Keys and remotes were returned via receipt signature through the mail but we were charged for non return of items . There was damage to the carpet which rightfully was replaced by the company at our expense, however they charged us nearly $600 for cleaning. We had a professional company clean after we moved out. Additionally they charged us for extermination . We never had an issue with bugs or critters the entire time we lived there. Additionally there were make ready charges for utilities and other administrative charges that were not specified. Out of nearly $2000 we got less than $450 back. This company lacks professionalism and kindness. I will never recommend them. I feel for the college students that are their bread and butter. Renter be warned, this is not the company to rent from.

Brad is great! We had issues with our oven a couple weeks into our lease and it was fixed within 48 hours of notifying management. We then had issues with our AC unit and again was fixed in a very timely manner, just in time for summer! We will be renting our second property through them and I highly suggest At Home Properties!

I ve lived in a townhome on San Pedro dr managed by At Home for six months, and they still haven t fixed the hole in the floor(!! Seriously! There is a huge hole in the living room floor!) left by previous tenets, even though they promised to fix it as part of the lease. There are multiple issues with the apartment that they still haven t fixed, even after months of nagging. Find somewhere else to live as a renter, and as a property owner, find a different managing company! It is ridiculous that I am halfway through my lease and they still haven t bothered to fix the floor per the move-in agreement.

BEWARE YOUR DEPOSIT We live in the house for 5 and here are the problems we faced. Our AC broke multiple times and sometimes it takes 5 days to fix it in a hot summer Our microwave broke a couple of times. After fixing or replacing for a couple of times, they stop doing that. For more than 2 years we use our microwave. We live there for more than 5 years so some things would be overused or broken. After we left, they charge almost $800 for them. We hire a professional to clean the house, but they said the clean the house after we left

I lived at a Duplex Managed by At Home Properties for 3 years. Aside from the repeated issues we have had with neighbors that went unresolved, our main issue happened upon moving out. We were notified by mail that $775 was deducted from our Deposit for cleaning, bulbs, ac filter, and carpet repair. We replaced blubs frequently and even left extras when we moved out. We changed the AC filter the same month that we moved out. The only picture At Home Properties gave regarding to cleaning was a picture of the top of the fridge (after we complained to the BBB). And the only carpet damage shown was a picture of a 3 inch tear next to a door. Nothing listed even remotely explains why $775 was needed for those alleged repairs. We were basically told there was nothing we could do, and that they would not provide any additional clarification or images. So advice to all new tenants: TAKE PICTURES UPON MOVING OUT SO YOU DONT GET SCAMMED! I will update this review after I take them to court.

Wish there was a ZERO star selection. Dont have much experience with renting but due to work I rented a place in Bryan, unfortunately I used at home properties, worst decision. they find everyway possible to tie you into a lease for longer. Even if you think you have a good understanding and have read your whole lease agreement you probably need to let a lawyer review it lol (sad but true bc they find a way to get you on the wording). Also if THEIR website does not work properly for payments you are held accountable for the lovely late fees. (they cant control when their own website malfunctions nor can they do anything about the late fees) Not to mention dont let your A/C go out in AUGUST in Texas unless you have 17 days for hotel cost handy (that you definitely dont get back) with only a they should be there tomm or the next. Hate renting period but def will rent directly from owner next time (hopefully wont ever be a next time) **Update** Over all they were easy to work with. The original review was sent in spite, still bitter over the A/C issue and late fee think both could have been handled alittle different but water under the bridge. Everyone in the office was nice and never had any other issues. I would rent from them again but would definitely read the contract a little more in depth and ask more questions in the future.

We have been renting a duplex through At Home Properties for 5 years. We are pretty low maintenance tenants, but that changed when we found out we were expecting twins. We were tenants of At Home Properties from 2014-2020 and must say they are great! We rented two different properties with them and only moved because we finally purchased our very first home!! They were always very professional, kind and respectful with us. In fact, when we first moved to College Station the owner went out of her way to help us get leased. She even gave my daughter a beautiful purple glass heart she had been eyeing on her desk and my daughter still has it. Sweet! Throughout our time with them, the property managers were always helpful and understanding. Their maintenance contractors are friendly and any issues we had were resolved in a timely manner. I definitely would recommend them to anyone.

Im very thankful to have At Home Properties manage my apt. in the flesh. I thought my a/c was going out and I somehow got the boss of the old managements a/c guys on the phone. He said there may not be a problem, but Im sending a technician anyway. He got halfway in my living room and said there aint nothing wrong and left. The previous management took out $100 for that from my prepaid rent without my knowledge causing my rent to be late 2 weeks later. Then they charged me another $50 for a late fee. They just told me I should have read the details of the rental agreement and refused to let me speak to someone who could rightfully refund me. Im still out that $150 property management spanking but I really appreciate being at home with At Home now. They treat me like folks in College Station should treat each other.

I have had nothing but problems since I moved in almost 2 years ago.It was not properly cared for. When I moved in there were paint cans and base boards in the middle of my living room. The floor is falling apart. Its a hastle to get my property manager to do anything. When she does it comes with a Major attitude. A few months ago my utility bill skyrocketed. tI Calledh the utility company only to find out Id been paying water for my unit as well as another unit. PM had known the entire time our units were connected. They never informed me. After a long battle the PM took over the water portion of my buill. My lawn is never mowed. It takes days and multiple texts to get a response from anyone. Im not renewing my lease. I dont recommend this property management company.

This was the most unprofessional group of women (I did speak to one man who was nice!) I have ever come across. I needed to change some things to a lease prior to signing it, and they refused to make changes and then refused to give me my deposit back. The owner actually screamed at me on the phone when I tried to explain my situation (single mother of 3 kids on a teacher salary). They refused to ask the owner if he would agree to changes, yet they are punishing me by keeping my deposit WHEN I DID NOT SIGN A LEASE... If you are thinking of renting with them and can stomach being spoken down to a yelled at, then give them a try. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND PROPERTY OWNERS LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR SOMEONE TO REPRESENT THEM. DO NOT RENT. I ve been in this business for 5 years and am a property manager myself. This company is the worst property management company I ve ever dealt with or rented through. Customer service is AWFUL. Always someone rude or unhelpful answering the front desk. At one point I even emailed a complaint instead of posting a review about how rude the girl at the front desk was in order to help others. The girl took the time the next day on work hours to call and tell me it was my fault and I should not have emailed her boss. All I wanted In my move out dispute was an itemized charge list to see I wasn t being overcharged for the damages... this is usually mandatory through typical Texas tenant laws (I spend hours doing it for my past residents). Katie Carrizales told me they don t have to do that and they couldn t help me. Take note this response took 4 weeks to get back. They also sent notice they would be showing our house to the wrong address. Then called and left voicemails apologizing. The only good thing AtHome has is Jana Lane.

They will not care about verbal communication. Make sure you get documentation for the work you need and what they will do. Also remember to get names because who you work with may change monthly. I have had a couple miscommunication issues with a couple employees there but I will give transitioning and the high turn over rate the reason behind those issues. If you record from the first day you step into the house (clean or dirty), you MAY be okay. Simple, I would recommend visiting properties managed by another party. I rented from them for a year and had multiple issues occur in that time. They seem very unorganized and money hungry at the end of the day. Happy hunting. :)

If i could give this company zero stars i would as 1 star is over rating them. My primary complaint is specifically with jerejene Mccown. I was trying to find out a round about timeline as to when my washer would be looked at because its been full of water and clothes for 3 days now and she was nothing but rude to me. I admittedly got frustrated and accidently used a SINGLE curse word. She hung up in my face and then refused to speak with me when i called back. I can understand this to an extent because i was out of line. That being said, the reason I was so frustrated is because Jerejene is rude everytime i have EVER dealt with her be it in person, on the phone, or through email. She is one of the most unprofessional and impolite people I have ever met and unfortunately for At Home Properties is an embarrassment to their company. I have heard many many complaints from clients at my personal job specifically geared towards her. If you are looking for a company that is professional and thorough with their tenants, this is not the place to go. On a side note they also have a bad tendency to show homes without owner approval. As a matter of fact, thats what they did when I viewed the place I currently live in. Which I didnt think was a big deal until they began doing it to my neighbors when their house wasnt even up for lease. They even came home one day and caught them in the house. For those of you who took the time to read this, I appreciate it. Hopefully it will save you some of the headache I have had to endure with them. I am going to begin this review with a response to the generic comments the social media manager fires out with every 1 star review. You say that you are sorry for our experiences and if you would like to discuss the matter more come into the office. However, when I came to the office to discuss my experience outlined below you were by no means sorry. Instead you fired accusations at us, bullying us out of your office so that you no longer would have to deal with us. Taking our money and property with you. My roommates and I made an honest mistake and did not move out by the end of our lease thinking we still had two more days before our lease was over. Therefore, At Home Properties gave complete access to our home to contractors that emptied the home placing all of its contents on the curb for the city to pick up. Despite the fact that our utilities were not turned off and we had not surrendered the property. The contractors placed everything except any item of value that was still in our home, they kindly took those items and placed it in their truck. Luckily one of my roomates came home (because we were still living in it and had not surrendered the property) to catch the contractors stealing our valuables. I was not there so I cannot speculate on what happened. All I know for sure is that someone loaded our most valuable items (TV s and appliances) into his truck (this said roommate does not have arms and in no way could move these large items without help). The contractors still made off with a lot of our property, including some of my disabled roommates tools to help him live a normal life despite not having arms, a few weapons that are no longer accounted for, and some of my Army issued equipment I need and regularly use for training (I m member of the National Guard). To keep this next part brief we spent the afternoon trying to get the rest of our property back and were only met by less than friendly, and less than helpful staff members from At Home Properties. Their staff passively listened to us, as they threw out anecdotal examples to make them seem like ethical people, as well as false accusations. Including accusing my roommate without arms of physically threatening their contractors at our home. Im not an expert but not sure how you can physically threaten someone if you lack arms. After being belittled at the At Home Properties office, filled with anger but not anymore of our property we left the office to fight another day. I sought legal counsel on this matter from both lawyers and other property brokers and was advised that At Home Properties probably broke a few property codes but pursuing them on these law violations will not be worth high legal fees it would take to pursue the case. So congratulations At Home Properties you win, you successfully stole from your low income tenants. The thing that upsets me about this situation is not the money. Most of these items can be replaced and we can figure out life until we can afford to replace them. It may take us a few months to get back to normal but at the end of the day we lost material possessions and there are more important things in life. The thing that upsets me about this situation is how the team members of At Home Properties choose to treat a disabled person and a member of our military. All in all if you are a college student and thinking about renting from them, if the price is right and location is good go for it. Just be aware maintenance is slow to non existent and they will try to pull a fast ones on you, so be careful. And if you are a landlord looking for a property management company to manage your passive income and all you care about is making money, neglecting the human beings that live in your home paying you large sums of rent each month. This is the company for you. However, if you want your passive income to be ethical and you have even an ounce of empathy for your tenants that put money in your pocket each month. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Ive been a responsible tenant (Note: Im the tenant born without arms) under AtHome for two years and have had my share of normal frustrations with them during my time. This last week I made a clerical error and misread my move out date by two days. So, on the day after our lease officially ended I believed I still had a day left to finish moving out and clean. When I showed up at the house there were two men there who were hired to trash our house- remove everything and dispose of it. they put all of the garbage on the curb and had all of our valuable belongings loaded up in their personal vehicle to dispose of. I politely asked them what they were doing and they made me aware that my lease had ended 11 hours ago and that I was no longer supposed to be there and that all our stuff belonged to them now. Feeling a bit hopeless I asked them if I could have back some of the more expensive items I could see in their pickup, which they let me have back but took the rest without hesitation or sympathy. Now the legalities are all hazy as my attorney informed me that they had committed theft while the AtHome managers assured me that it was completely legal since I had abandoned the property despite the fact that I returned to the house in the first place to finish packing and cleaning. I threatened to call the police at which they returned three of the truckload of items taken. At this point, my roommate had returned from work and we went down to their office to see about getting the rest of our stuff back. The response we got back was cold and rude, they falsely accused me (the guy with no arms) of threatening their contractors and lying about what we told them. They informed us that they had contacted us previously about the house being trashed via an email (instead of calling) an hour before the house being cleared out and so naturally it was our fault for not checking our email during the workday. At the end of it, these middle-aged adults were smug and satisfied that they had beaten two college students who just had a bunch of their property taken from them. Overall, their business practices are shady and their treatment of people they know they can beat is astoundingly disappointing.

We moved in during a crunch period. Out last land lord want us out so he could sell the property for demolition. Long story short, Brad Clinton at At Home Properties was able to get us into a similar house in a short time. While things were not quite ready due to to the rushed events of the move, Brad and his team did everything to get a unit ready and available for us in a short notice period. Never had an issue with those working for AT Home Properties. Easy to get a hold of if ever had problems and problems were efficiently resolved in a timely manner. I highly recommend this group to any one looking to move into the Bryan/College Station area!

Worst experience I have had with a leasing company. The staff is incredibly disrespectful and careless. The maintenance team makes empty statements. If they tell you they will fix something expect the repairs to take up to 3-4 months. I never had any problems with at home until we let them know we would not be renewing and after that it was a terrible experience.

Melissa and the team at At Home Properties did a excellent job of helping us lease out our home and ensuring that the property and the tenants were well looked after. They presented us with a professional and detailed marketing plan, and were able to match us up with fantastic tenants. Any issues that arose were addressed promptly and all billing and disbursements arrived in a timely manner. They truly made the process of leasing out our home virtually stress free and Id highly recommend them to anyone looking to lease a property or looking for a rental.

Ive lived with the company for 3 years, and would highly recommend. Our property manager was Brad, he is a good guy and would always respond to our phone calls/texts in a timely manner. One time we called in a maintenance request for the air and the AC company was there within five minutes. At Home is very fair with returning their deposit. We cleaned well and received 100% of our deposit back. :)

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. My roommate and I havnt even been in our house for 24 hours and Im already considering breaking our lease. It is over 90 degrees outside and our ac is out. They refuse to fix it immediately and claim it is not an emergency we have two small dogs and it is completely unlivable. The floor is completely rotting from neglect and water damage, there is missing panels outside the house and animals have been living in between the wall of the house and the wood outside. Dog urine everywhere from previous tenants and stains all over the carpet. I am completely disgusted with this property, and how this company manages. If you leave your property to this company break your contract immediately. They clearly only care about their money and not your house or tenants.

The employees of this company were very unprofessional. I scheduled a showing for a house in Bryan, TX on Tuesday, 8/2/2016 with Janet and I was stood up. I waited for 30 minutes and nobody showed up. No call from anyone to reschedule or to let me know they were going to be late. I called the office to inquire about what was going on, and was promptly told that they had no showings scheduled for that time and date. I checked with my wife to make sure I was not mistaken and she confirmed that we did indeed schedule a showing for that time and date. I then called Janet on the cell phone number that she had provided to me when I scheduled the showing, and was met with a voicemail message. I also texted her at this number and received no response. Given that I was stood up, ignored, and then given the run around by this company and their employees, we have elected to rent with another individual. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I have leased with At Home Properties since April 2016 . First off the people are helpful and so nice ! I had a few issues moving in and I had a repair man at my home the next day ! They always respond to my emails & telephone calls promptly and with a willingness to help me ! Iv never had such a great experience with a property management ! This is my third year renting from At Home Properties (at different properties every year) and I had to come back and revise my review because we have had an absolutely fantastic experience with them this year. Our property manager this year is Janae, and from the very first time we went to view the property before even signing, she has been a pleasure to work with. She is responsive, polite, and our maintenance men always come the same day or the day after we put in a work order request! Janae is amazing, and if you are looking to rent from At Home Properties, Id highly recommend her as your property manager! Our first two years, however, our property manager was Jana. We had an issue with the move out date and discussed the possibility of extending our lease for a couple of days and she said it would be okay, only to rush us out when the time came, going back on her promise to let us stay longer. Jana also locked my dog in the closet one of the days when she was showing our property to potential renters. My poor dog was so terrified, she had an accident and ripped up part of the closet. Im not sure if this was intentional (to put the dog away) or accidental, but I feel as though property managers should be mindful of the tenants pets, especially if they had not been getting property showing notices. I would have otherwise kenneled the dogs for the day before leaving the house. At Home Properties is one of the few leasing companies that allow you to have two large dogs, and I was very disappointed when this happened. The second year we rented from At Home Properties, my roommate moved out halfway through the lease...this happened right around the time that our property was listed for sale and we ended up getting a new landlord. However, when my new roommate was trying to move in, Jana was being very rude and attempted to get another full deposit on the house even though one had already been previously paid. She tried to tell us that my new roommate could NOT move in past a certain date (which we later learned was the date that the property would be officially handed over to the new owner) unless that balance was paid in full. However, when discussing it with the new owner, the process was facilitated and no additional dues had to be paid. My roommates family is in real estate, and explained to us that she may have been doing that to try to up her numbers before the property was sold. I am not sure how true this is, so I will take it with a grain of salt, but Jana was an absolute displeasure to work with. All in all, Janae is fantastic and I love leasing through At Home Propeties now. We have decided to renew our lease for another year, and I am very, very happy with our situation right now!

By far the best property management company I have worked with (and I have been a leasing agent). We were tenants for five years at two different locations. Work orders were done within 48 hours. Even when our window leaked and flooded the carpet. The agents were attentive and willing to help. The vendors they use were extra helpful as well. There were a couple move out discrepancies, but they were quickly addressed and taken care of with our agent and the owner. Janae was always available to answer my questions or address concerns through email or the phone. Janae made me feel like a neighbor and not a client with an address attached! I am so thankful for Lynn and her team for making sure our rentals were HOME and not just a place to live!!
